What job do you think snape would get if didn't become a teacher at hogwarts?

My first thought is he'd own an apothecary. He'd be working on his own inventions and traveling a bit to collect ingredients. Maybe he'd publish his work too.

But also, an idea I don't really see brought up, he's very knowledgeable about the Dark Arts as well, so something like an auror or curse breaker is an interesting idea.

The thing is that he snores, loud and obnoxious and shouldn’t the serum have fixed that? The thing about Cap is that he’s needy, touchy and affectionate and insecure about it all like the sad sack that he is. The thing about sleeping with him is that Bucky falls a little too quickly, a little too hard, terrified from the very first moment the overwhelming feeling kicks him right in the gut. The thing is this: Bucky Barnes had been sleeping with the first Captain America for eight months and change when he finds an old suit and cowl stuffed in an empty disc-shaped case in one of Steve’s moving boxes. hahaha i'm so glad you re-asked bc i have zero gossip girl hot takes and that would've been a v disappointing response! then again, idk if any of my good girls takes are hot either. but i'll try!!

this hot take is directed at nbc specifically: the fact that good girls was canceled without a formal, planned ending. it's been how many years, and i'm still upset?!! i desperately needed to see annie go to school to become an emt. they threw away such a juicy potential storyline! not a hot take, but: annie deserved better.

the music choices in s3 were garbage, save for a few songs

s3 in general was garbage, s1-2 were supreme, and s4 redeemed itself enough that i enjoyed it overall

i didn't like the introduction of nick's character at all. it really skews how i see rio in the early seasons. i just find it v hard to believe his strings were being pulled by his brother-cousin or whatever the f*ck they kept calling each other. didn't work for me. see also: phoebe and the 'secret service' HARD PASS ON THEM ALL

i didn't *hate* two of the scenes that a significant portion of the fandom felt were controversial/unnecessary at the time (rio getting shot at the end of s2 and the wire strip down scene in s4). sure there were some problematic elements to both, but i took the scenes with a grain of salt each, i guess.

to answer your second question, i never thought rio had a long term gf, and tbh it's news to me that that's a headcannon! i think he had a kid with a woman (with whom he was maybe serious with at one point) and they were co-parenting as best as they could given his... line of work lol. forever team brio, though i never *really* saw them as an endgame ~couple~. i more so envisioned them keeping up a crime colleagues with benefits-type relationship. y'know, the occasional bathroom hookup or mid-bbq fingering or car-smashing foreplay. as crime hubs/wives do.

I'm guessing this was triggered by my "its funny to think of opposite zelda games in lorule" post?

So Lorule Pipit on the surface would be like regular pipit, but really, he's making it all up, he's in it for the money, like more than usual. His family still struggles, but he's not just looking to support them.

Groose is still an asshole, but unlike normal Groose, he wont put his money where his mouth is, and is an absolute coward and weakling.

Stritch is a germophobe, hates dirty surfaces. Kinda like that one robot in Wall-E he's always cleaning constantly.

Karane is kinda like a more manipulative version of regular Karane, like she knows that people like cawlin are in love with her, and she uses that to her advantage constantly.

Cawlin is still kinda a loser, but hes more of the mastermind behind the groose, stritch and cawlin gang, they just pretend Groose is in charge because he's physically the strongest.

Fledge, well, he's kinda absorbed in his training, to the point of hating interaction with others, because he knows hes weak and can't be caught off guard

Summary:

A story with a parallel of Roy and Ed's journeys. Roy, leaving his late master's house full of hope with the secret to flame alchemy, Riza left behind him. Ed, burning his house as he left it with Alphonse. Roy goes with the sense that he'll see Riza again and be able to show her what a difference he made. Ed takes everything he cares for with him and resolves never to look back.

But as Roy experiences Ishval he becomes too ashamed to think of returning - he never wants to face the disappointment on Riza's face, or disrespect his master who was right, right, right about alchemy in the military. As Ed grows he lingers on the thought of his childhood - he visits Winry and looks down the lane at where his house used to be - he visits his mother's grave and remembers that childhood, returning in his heart.

Roy leaves Ishval, shadowed by Riza, both of them burdened by what they'd done and determined not to look back at Ishval, but to seek their justice. And yet Marcoh asks him to put aside that goal of retribution (on himself) and to look back at Ishval - come back to Ishval - and restore it.

Ed pushes through and restores Al's body and his arm. He comes back to Winry, to Risenbool, and in a way his home that he wasn't returning to. It's not the house, but the home in his heart is still here in the countryside, having drifted just a few hundred metres. He's back.

Hi Nony! Here are some pickings from my recs. (to note...almost all of them have some variation of TwiYor because I'm trash, but the stories are good outsideof the ship as well, especially in some where it takes a back seat).

I love lacrow's works in general and recommend checking their other works out, but this one I keep coming back too because it's too dang funny. The premise is: what if Karen (Twilight's girlfriend from the mission prior to Strix) went looking for him rather than just letting him go after he broke up wit her at the restaurant? Hijinks and drama ensue. (Completed)

This one is a DOOSY - filled with angst and whump, but also some really sweet comfort and family feels. There's references to Chapter 62 and deals with injury recovery.

The premise: a side mission goes terribly wrong for Twilight and he's found by his "fake" wife and daughter two blocks from home. Horribly wounded. (Completed)

Tuntunaa's other works (especially Late) are very good as well!

This one is a pretty personal recommendation, but Hetaliawall did a fantastic job of taking the "Anya gets kidnapped by the scientist" trope and deals with the aftermath. (CW: Loid and Yor are VERY RAW in this. Parental arguments and lots of guilt are in the first chapter. From then on, Anya is very traumatized and struggles.)

Summary: When Anya goes missing Loid and Yor would do anything to find their daughter. Anything. (Incomplete, in progress)

Summary: Yor gets haranguing by her coworkers once more about her marriage to Loid and they demand to know about their honeymoon. Poor Yor lies and now all Twilight wants to do is fix this...by taking her on the honeymoon he should have months ago. (Incomplete, in progress)

This has been removed from AO3 by the author. Hopefully RyuuNoKami will return with it someday 🥺 but if not, it was a pleasure to read while it was being written.

This one is a guilty pleasure fic of mine. This one is heavily TwiYor centric but Anya plays wingman to her parents and is a delight. There is a lot of Mutual Pinning in this, as well as the stupidity that comes with that.

A different first meeting fic for Anya and Twilight. Time travel AU. This one focuses heavily on the father-daughter dynamic but is also heartbreaking.

Summary: the scientists send Anya back to the past for a test of her powers and she meets a boy called Advisor. He didn't expect to get attached... He didn't intend to lose her. (Complete)

(RATED M FOR VIOLENCE)

Have another Lacrow rec because the Crow is awesome! This is another father-daughter rescue fic that focuses a LOT on Twilight's abilities as a spy. Anya doesn't make a physical appearance, but she is never far from Twilight's thoughts.

Summary: Anya is captured and nothing will stand in Twilight's way of getting her back. Nothing. (Complete)
