So I finished smudging about an hour ago. Having needed to cleanse some negative energy as I mentioned in the previous post. And for those of you who follow my posts regularly, you've probably seen me mention my cat Marius. Aka my Gift from God Himself familiar cat. • • • So without fail, Marius came trotting into my room having smelled the smoke down the hall, at which point he went over to my altar table and started rubbing against it as cats do when they love something. • • • And then it got real quiet and I just assumed he'd left because I was working on my computer. That is until I heard him yawn and turned back to see him curled up at the base of my altar next to my tools not currently in use and a huge box of incense, white sage, and Palo Santo. • • • I've said it once, I'll say it again. This cat is just as spiritual and holistic in nature as I am. Proof that familiars do exist and that whatever God you believe in hand picks them just for you. • • • Ask me to tell you the story of how Marius came into my life some time. Babycat's been feeling sick all day but he seems to be much more relaxed and at peace after I smudged the room.

No, I didn't smudge my cat because smoke + tiny lungs = no good.

But he bathed in the smoke floating through the air and got smudged by proxy.
