I have no patience for this. I had one manipulator try to pull this on me. He was dating my (former) best friend and the whole relationship was a shameful disgrace. Esempi's masks are actually an old fae tradition refurbished for symbolics of the persecution and harassment Puffy and her children had to face during Schlatt's reign... or is it? One more reason why it doesn't really fit is the recentness of tbe event. It's only been a little over ten years since they won the war so I don't really blame them for taking pride in it, especially since they're still rebuilding from the devastation that the war brought. Almost everybody in Esempi lost a parent, a sibling, a child, a friend or a neighbour, so the grief of it still fresh in their minds.

As for br!Dream... Yup he loves his country very much, and I think that's fine, you know? He tends to be impulsive and irrational, and although he's more protective of his close ones more than anything else, he cares deeply about the greater good of the nation. He loves the islands that he spent the most of his childhood in, he loves the history and the traditions because as a high-content fae himself, which were outlawed during Schlatt's time, did not get a lot of opportunities to connect to that side of his legacy. Basically yes they accused you of being a Sansa stan because Rhaegar and R/L shippers hate Sansa and her stans because, by and large, Sansa stans hate Rhaegar and think Lyanna was a victim. And they also love Arya, because...Arya..looks like Lyanna...and isn't as hyper feminine as Sansa...so..therefore her fans think she aligns with Rhaegar because they...hate Sansa and pretend its a love story....

Even though the point of Lyanna Stark is that her untold narrative is comparative to both Sansa and Arya in different ways to showcase different aspects of the final years of a life in Lyanna we never knew. Sansa in a highborn girl trapped in a hostage situation where she has absolutely no way of escape, and is now forced to play along to her captors games because it is a matter of survival and watching them try to hold onto their goodness to varying degrees until someone helps them escape or not. And Arya, the more rambunctious girl who holds passions in things the boys do but knows she isn't supposed to engage in that stuff, but is encouraged by her brothers who ends up seperated and alone in the South far from her home and is forced into situations by proxy of having no one there to defend her against the adult soldiers.

But they are wrong in trying to align one sister over the other in who is the better Lyanna parallel. Because Sansa and Arya are not Lyanna. They are two aspects which tell us Lyannas story, but neither of them are actually Lyanna. There is only one character who represents Lyanna as a person, and thats her son.

No one is actually comparable to Lyanna Stark as a person, except for her son, Jon Snow.

Sansa and Arya are the motifs in which her story can be understood, but Jon is the character that tells us who she was as a person. Jon is the Winter Rose.

Also speaking of Jon idk how these people turn every single debate about these 4 characters (Rhaegar, Lyanna, Sansa, Arya, also Dany) into discussions about how THEY have the correct incest ship.

Though you're not the only one 🤣 A fun fact is that when I say "it's angstapalooza RWRB edition" I'm talking less about the plot and more about the fact that it, once again, has a fic title and all chapter titles from one song on Matt Nathanson's Show Me Your Fangs album. Because I am nothing if not on brand.

It's pretty 50/50 on whether I come up with something pretty much as soon as I have the idea, or once I'm completely done. It's almost never during the process. Of the 25 docs in my WIP folder right now (haha fuck my life) 11 of them have actual titles and 14 have placeholder descriptors.

I used to use the phrase "anticipatory impatience" with alarming regularity, and then I had to podfic it for The Blouse Barn Divorce Ranch and was immediately like "this is the worst phrase ever and I will never use it again." I've described Patrick's feelings epiphany as "realising his feelings for David ran deeper than an admiration for his business model" or something similar more than once.

I dunno, is Filthy Smut But Make It Tender a trope? Because I often half-joke that the most romantic thing I've ever written was a fisting fic. I just... love writing about trust and love and connection via smut.

25. What part of writing is the most fun?

That part when the thing you can imagine in your head makes its way onto the page exactly as you imagined it. So fucking exciting. But also, as someone whose love language is being cursed out, anytime I can force people to feel their feelings so hard they yell at me about it is deeply enjoyable for me.
