Can I ask your top 5 favorite moments each from Jujutsu Kaisen and One Piece? And your top 5 (or top 3) favorite characters from each series?

Ooooh this is going to be difficult for me but I am very happy to! I think I gush about the characters I like a lot on my blog already ajljfljgf so I'll just list the characters, but I'll go more in depth on my top moments for both series. Uhhh major spoilers for both series under the cut.

For JJK, my top five characters are Yuuji, Kenjaku, Yuki, Geto, and Choso (and for a top ten, I would include Gojo, Nobara, Maki, Higuruma, and Mahito).

Ok for JJK, I thought this was gonna be easier but there are really a lot of moments I love, so some honorable mentions: Junpei's death, Yuuji and Nobara vs. Cursed Wombs, Gojo sealed in the prison realm, Yuuji vs. Choso, Nanami's Death, Yuuji vs. Higuruma, Sukuna taking over Megumi (yeah I considered all of these for the list lmao)

Premature Death (Ch. 76-78)

I certainly enjoyed JJK before this point, but Geto's character arc in Hidden Inventory is where I went "Oh, this is something special." In JJK 0, I was definitely intrigued by him and his relationship to Gojo, but without context, he comes off a little corny with how over the top evil he seems. And then we see him in Hidden Inventory, and he's just this...normal and polite kid? He wants to protect non-sorcerers? But then Riko dies. And the jujutsu system fails him, and his fall from grace is so tragic but also realistic to his character. We see him display this black and white thinking from the very beginning, "Jujutsu sorcerers HAVE to protect the weak non-sorcerers" flipped to "We need to protect jujutsu sorcerers from the non-sorcerers." Geto is a victim, but he doesn't identify the cause correctly. I think he's such a tragic character and really reinforces the themes of JJK so wonderfully, the system failed him (and really every young sorcerer), there was no support, and it really gives weight to Gojo's character and mission to become a teacher and raise strong sorcerers that can support each other.

2. Yuuji and Todo vs. Mahito (Ch. 127-132)

This is still probably the best fight in the series and it's a really good example of how fights can push forward the characters and themes in a story. JJK loves it's parallels, and one of my favorite parallels is Geto and Yuuji, both looking down at their dead friend and just, breaking from it. Yuuji's resolve just crumbling after seeing Nobara die is so heartbreaking, he isn't able to beat Choso, or suppress Sukuna from wreaking havoc, or save Nanami or Nobara. And it presents the same question that Geto faced with failing to save Riko or defeat Toji. Why is Yuuji a sorcerer? I think that Todo coming into this fight in a support role was a really good choice, where he reminds Yuuji that he still has things and people to fight for, what has he been entrusted with? And Mahito really proves himself to be the best villain in the series here, he's such a good foil to Yuuji and the way that they push each other's character developments is unlike anything I've seen. SO many good and important moments from this fight, and ending with Yuuji's "I'm you" speech? Maybe the best moment in the whole series.

3. Maki vs. The Zenin Clan (Ch. 148-151)

I'll always stand by the opinion that Mai's death is the best in the entire series and it's not even close. Maki and Mai's story is just so tragic, the way that they grew apart, but then reconciled but only at the end? I think their story is a really good way in how people react differently to oppressive systems, where Maki wants to break free from it and prove that she is strong, while Mai is "happy enough" to live under that system as long as she can have her sister by her side. She doesn't want to face the backlash that standing up for herself will cause. And for their family to turn on them and be willing to kill them in order to uphold the systems of power they have in place? Genuinely evil shit but it's realistic in how they treat Toji, Maki, and Mai, they are all victims of this family. Mai giving her blessing to Maki to "destroy everything" is another contender for top moment in this series, and Maki only being able to gain her full power by losing her sister, the one person she wanted to protect, is so cruel. Maki's character arc is truly one of the best in the series.

4. Yuki and Choso vs. Kenjaku

So this is the entry I definitely have the most mixed feelings on, I don't love everything about this fight (...namely...how it ended..) but I love A LOT about it so it's still on the list. Every interaction between these characters is endlessly interesting to watch, and I could write an essay on this fight. Yuki and Kenjaku as foils to each other, wanting to achieve the same goal of optimizing cursed energy but in completely different ways. Choso and Kenjaku's fucked up relationship where Kenjaku has been so cruel to, and Choso standing up to Kenjaku to fight for his brothers and starting his new life as a human instead of a curse. Yuki and Choso having to reckon with their humanity and their inhuman nature (star plasma vessel and cursed womb), every dynamic is just so amazing. And that's not to even mention Tengen's dynamic with both Yuki and Kenjaku. So many good character moments throughout this fight and I'm so invested in all four of them.

5. Takaba vs. Kenjaku (Ch. 239-243)

Sooo the Gojo vs. Sukuna fight was good fun and all, but undeniably I was getting pretty bored of it by the end. It's an alright fight but I think it was stretched out in order to line up Chapter 236 with Gojo being sealed in the prison realm in the anime. I needed something new, and oh man, Takaba vs. Kenjaku was completely unexpected but it blew me out of the water. This is genuinely one of if not the most unique shonen fights I have ever read, and Gege just really seemed to be in his element writing this. Not only is this one of the funniest parts of the entire series, but it does a lot of favors for both Takaba and Kenjaku as characters. JJK is big on duos, and it truly feels like they found their other half in this fight and push each other in new ways. Was the perfect breather before jumping back to Sukuna, and while I'm also not a huge fan of how it ended, there's too much I like about it to leave it off the list.

Ok, now for the hard part with One Piece lmao. For characters, I'm splitting it into a strawhats and non-strawhats list because I think it would be actually impossible otherwise ajfssdklj. For strawhats, my top five are Zoro, Robin, Sanji, Luffy, and Brook. For non-strawhats, it's Corazon, Law, Pudding, Crocodile, and Vivi.

Honorable Mentions: Shank's saving Luffy/strawhat passoff, Zoro vs. Mihawk, Nami's "Help Me", Luffy climbing up Drum Island with Nami and Sanji, Alabasta goodbye, Ringing the Golden Bell in Skypeia, Luffy vs. Usopp, CP9 Reveal, Sanji and Sogeking on the Water Train, Franky backstory, Sogeking shooting down the world gov. flag, Robin's "I want to live", Going Merry funeral, Brook's backstory, Luffy punches the celestial dragon, Boa Hancock's backstory, Ace's death, Luffy "I still have my friends", Fisher Tiger backstory, Kyro's backstory, "Raizo is safe", Brook vs. Big Mom, Pedro's death, Luffy vs. Katakuri, Yasuie's death, Hiyori standing up to Orochi, Oden/Roger backstory, Kanjuro reveal, Sanji asking Robin to save him from Black Maria, Robin vs. Black Maria, Sanji vs. Queen, Gear 5, Kuma and Bonney backstory (this is truly an evil task you've given me I love all of these moments and so many more lmao).

Robin's backstory (Enies Lobby)

If Water 7 and Enies Lobby counted as a "moment" I would, but unfortunately those are two full arcs lmao so I decided to choose just one aspect to include here. What can I even say that hasn't been said. Robin's backstory just perfectly explains where she comes from, her strengths and her flaws, and makes her character journey and development so special. No wonder she's had a hard time accepting the strawhats help, her entire life she's been an outcast and even branded as a demon just for the knowledge she carries. Her goodbye to her mother and to Saul are heartbreaking, and to see how she spends 20 years running away and not trusting anyone? It makes it so special when the strawhats tell her "You deserve to live, we won't abandon you, we are your friends no matter what and we will help you." Such a good backstory that not only cements Robin as one of the best characters in the series, but is so important from a world building and thematic perspective for the series as a whole.

2. Zoro's "Nothing Happened" (Thriller Bark)

This moment really cemented Zoro as one of my favorite characters, and is just a moment that has so many layers you can explore (you should check out melonteees recent video "Reframing Nothing Happened" she puts my feelings better than I probably can here lmao). I ultimately find this scene really tragic and scary, but wow does it just highlight Zoro's character development and how much he loves and respects Luffy and the rest of the crew. At the beginning of the series, this is a character who tells Luffy that if he gets in the way of his dream, he'll kill him. We see right before this that Zoro survives a near death experience and is really glad to still be alive, this isn't someone who wants to die. Yet when Kuma comes around, and he realizes he's outmatched, he starts bargaining with Kuma to save Luffy's life. He's not even giving up his dream here, telling Kuma you'll have the head of someone who would have been the best swordsman in the world someday. Him taking out Sanji and protecting him as well, just in this almost quiet anger when Sanji says "you'll have to find a new cook", it's such a good moment as well. Him accepting the pain bubble, it almost killing him, and him saying "nothing happened" because he doesn't want to upset Luffy with the sacrifice? Gahhh I could talk about this moment forever, and it's such a turning point for both Zoro and all of the strawhats I think.

3. Kuma separates the Strawhats (Sabaody Archipelago)

Contender for one of the most evil things Oda has ever done. This arc is full of so many amazing moments, and it just builds up to this terrifying climax where it feels like the strawhats are just getting hunted down, and each strawhat disappearing one by one just made my jaw drop, I stopped watching One Piece for like five days after this lmao. Luffy's desperation to help his crew and breaking down after, Zoro having this trauma response to Kuma, Sanji noticing and trying to protect Zoro, Brook trying to divert Kuma away, the bubbles popping one by one as each strawhat is sent away? Jesus Christ, I was a mess. And the decision to send away Zoro first, the protector and really just the rock of the crew that everyone can rely on, and Robin last, after going through SO much to try and protect her and to reassure her that she's safe with them? Wow. This moment and the Nothing Happened scene just got even more depth with Kuma's backstory, it's just seared into my brain.

4. Law's backstory (Dressrosa)

Anon I want you to know just looking at this picture and thinking about Law's backstory INSTANTLY made me tear up lmao, nothing has affected me quite like this in One Piece. Corazon's story and his personality and his just, absolute and unconditional love for Law made me fall in love with this character. He's been through SO much and instead of turning out like his brother because of it, he just becomes this very kind and caring person that wants to protect people from the ruin that Doflamingo brings. And just how Law is this very angry and hurt kid that gets taken in by Doflamingo because he sees Law's anger and is reminded of himself, and Corazon just is able to divert him from taking this path by just genuinely caring for Law, trying to find ANY doctor that will treat Law's illness and then being willing to steal the Op Op fruit in order to save his life? And just...at the end trying to not let Law that he got hurt, hiding Law away and telling him he loves him before facing Doffy, him CLINGING onto life in order to keep the silencing on Law so that he can cry and grieve for Law as he runs away? When I tell you I was SOBBING when Corazon died that's not an exaggeration. Just the pure unconditional love and the found family between them is so beautiful, and the way Law dedicates his entire life to Corazon and carries on his legacy? It just gives me chills.

5. Sanji in Whole Cake Island (...Whole Cake Island)

Ummm I'm going to cheat here because I'm including Sanji's entire character arc in this entry, but it's impossible to choose just one moment from it. From his backstory, to Sanji vs. Luffy, to finding out about Pudding's betrayal, to him returning to Luffy, to him saving the day with making a cake, everything about Sanji in this arc is such perfection. There are so many layers to this character and similar to Robin, seeing his second backstory really answers a lot of questions about him and where so many of his strengths and his flaws come from, and how Luffy is able to make him realize "We are your family, no matter what we will help you and you matter so much to us." I think the themes in Whole Cake Island about family are so powerful, and exploring them through Sanji was such a brilliant move that really did his character lot of favors, and made him one of the most interesting and dynamic strawhats.

YIPPEE sorry i WILL infodump a bit because i do think you could go so insane over mistos. for many reasons but im putting it under a cut both for like the 3 mutuals who are interested in it and dont want spoilers and also bc i dont want to make a 5 million paragraph long post.

so mistos is i guess the deuteragonist in volfoss but his deal requires a bit of explaining about the narrative before i can get into why i think youd like him based off the other guys you like :) so volfoss is basically about dealing with the repercussions of seeing your trooper group (troopers are basically mercenaries who get requests to clear out monsters or help people in other ways) getting killed in front of you and chasing the guy who did it down and also theres a war (dw about it. the horrors happen). mistos personally had to see a lot of the slaughter, to the point where well. mistos sees the man who did it partially and their leader's body (who in terms of the game, we see referenced as someone who both mistos and shalvas (the protagonist) relied on a lot) laid on the killers feet as some sort of sacrifice. mistos lives with a lot of guilt that he really couldnt stop the massacre from happening (bc it wasnt just one guy) and has a lot of complex feelings on what he wants to do when they find the guy who did it. shalvas meanwhile is well. pretty clearly like yeah i want his ass DEAD for what he did to us. also important to know this guy did nearly kill mistos. so he has a good reason if he didnt like him and wanted him dead.

but the thing is, mistos in either ending, doesn't want him dead. they confront this guy in a tournament at the end of act 1, and the way they deal with him depends on if you're on the good or bad ending path. on the good ending, he actively stops shalvas. the man who did it (keeping it vague bc i stay sillay ok) literally pleads for mistos to kill him but mistos refuses. hes a character that to me is really interesting because of this, and that on the evil route um. shalvas does kill him pretty brutally in front of the audience and mistos is actively trying to stop him. i think hes honestly very complex and the fact that it caused him an insane amount of trauma to witness the attack and yet. in both variations, he forgave him and moved past it.

in terms of personality, mistos is very sarcastic and jokes around a lot but is a really good strategist. he pretty much took over silver fang (the trooper org u are part of) and is NOT enjoying adjusting to that (from what ik, he used to be a pretty involved and strong trooper before this, but he took the responsibility so shalvas didn't have to). he has a lot of kindness though, he's very patient with shalvas (who has like. some form of memory loss) and he's really sweet to rially (who is a girl that basically comes to hang out somewhat often after they helped her defeat some monsters). like i think a lot of the way he shows care for people is kind of joking around but he also has a really hard time i think getting into his issues unless he makes them as jokes. like the first mission shalvas goes out alone, shalvas is really upset that mistos wont be there (due to the fact that at that point in the game you are weak as fuck lmao) and mistos kind of jokes about how its a ton of work to keep the base guarded and that he's basically really risking his life (which imo. was a combo of his sense of humor leaning towards self deprecating and also trying to make shalvas feel better about going off alone) by taking care of the base. but every time before shalvas leaves, mistos will always offer advice. and after every mission he and shalvas go to grista (a bar) and have a little how was the mission talk. he does genuinely deeply care for shalvas (and the other surviving member of their group, marica, but she appears a lot less so its hard for me to really get into their deal)

he also fights by using really sharp threads (his attack name is called the thread waver) and he DOES kick ass but unfortunately he doesnt fight alongside you a lot of the time. but i think youd like him due to how he takes a lot of the burden on himself and also stays silly. he loves to antagonize one specific guy at the start of the game but eventually grows to be good friends with him and idk :) hes just a nice and silly guy

short answer: I think i probably got the impression he was 36 from googling it and seeing the fanon wiki, and only realizing later that it wasnt canon so the idea stuck with me. its also just sort of funny since kieran gets picked on by sean, whose abt. 19, even though kierans visibly older than him.

long rambling answer that u dont need to read unless youre insane: I don't imagine him as 36 anymore because someone pointed out to me that him hitting on marybeth and being like 16 years older than her would be weird, but it made sense to me before that because 1) his design just changes age so often somehow, like in his official fullbody hes got grey hairs and a decent amount of wrinkles, but in game he looks much younger, so it's possible to imagine him as pretty much any age and 2) he has this one single line in a camp interaction with karen where he says something like, "some of the boys here, they treat me alright". Its probably just a throwaway line but I love this game and it stood out to me so I'll treat it like it means something anyways; kierbo calling the men in camp "boys" (to me) made it feel like hes around the average age for their group, or at least older than sean and lenny. Ofc it could also just be that that was what was normal for the time period, or that kier was used to calling gang members "boys" (ie. dutch's boys, colm's boys), but we really aren't given a lot of hints for his age so I'll take what I can get. and 3) in playing a social call, kieran steals an odriscolls gun and uses it to save arthurs life. based on how kieran shot the odriscoll as soon as he came out the door, he was already close to arthur, all the way down the hill from where the gang left him. since R* actually took the time to have sean make mistakes in his missions to show his age and inexperience, it doesn't feel like they'd have kieran make the decisions to steal a gun and go to where arthur was if they wanted him to appear young, especially since he has so few missions/chances for characterization.

And these are just some of my thoughts on his age based on what little information we have: according to...... familysearch dot org...... lmao..... the avg ages of soldiers in the spanish american war (1898) and the philippine american war (1899-1902) were 16-60, so kieran was probably at least 16 when he joined the military. Based on his conversation with sean, he joined his first gang AFTER leaving the military, but he doesn't describe them apart from them being killed by odriscolls. I think based on what he says about life later, "folks all seem to die", he was probably with that gang long enough to consider them his family (given that he was young and lacking one) or at least enough time for their deaths to make a lasting impression on his worldview, which I'm inferring was about a year at least. Hes also able to describe colm and how he manipulates his men concisely and, by 1899 ILLITERATE outlaw standards, what is pretty flowery language like sean just asked him what was up with colom and OFF THE CUFF kieran goes "like the devil is upon you", jesus. So he was probably with the odriscolls for a pretty long time too, or at least a year I'm guessing. So if he was 16 in the military + spent 1 year in an unknown gang + spent 1 year w/ the odriscolls he was,,,,,, at least 18 at the start of red dead. shocker.

I got carried away and said pretty much every thought I've ever had abt kieran's age (sorry) but hopefully the first part answers your question !!! :o)

-You two get on each other's nerves all the time, like you've just been like this for forever now. At first it was just like a little occasional jab and now u both are constantly challenging each other to stupid little things and having to haul the other's ass around after they get their shit kicked in (usually its you dragging sheriff around but shhh)

-admittedly though he was curious abt u the first time he saw you but he just. didn't say anything because he didn't really?? know how to properly do so???

-you two are both stubborn as shit you will be like. curled up on the couch and then you'll see him walk over to come sit down so you'll stretch and just. take up all the space just to spite him. "Is something wrong????? is there an issue??? what do you want." (9/10 it ends with him either dragging you up off the couch -which has led to you accidentally shredding it before because you dug your claws in to fight back- or him just sitting on your legs)

-DESPITE THAT THO,,,he's almost always hanging around you, he isn't sure why he just likes being around you. you'll be working on something or reading and he'll just walk over and rest his head on your shoulder while he watches / reads along with you. (you've pushed his head away several times and told him to stop drooling all over you -for the record, he wasnt- which lead to him licking the side of your face just to spite you which lead to you two roughhousing. dw he's still careful though it's just playfighting)

-because of your feline nature you can be a little more affectionate whenever you're in the mood to be. typically you'll just either kind of. grab his hand and sort of make him pet you or if he's in his room you'll go find him and lay down with him. (at first he was confused but over time he really enjoys it. it's just kind of a reflex of his now to pet you whenever you come in and curl up against him. also you started like. kneading on him or a blanket one time and he almost cried. thinks its cute as hell but he wont say it)

-he kind of does the same thing to you but most times it's because he wants you to talk to him or something. he'll just walk in and either just kind of. awkwardly stand or sit around or he'll lay his head on your lap or something. keeps sighing really loudly until you pay attention to him lmao

-you try and knock shit over but he's always too fast to catch it. also leads to you two either playfighting or challenging the other to something to see who has faster reflexes or something

-whenever you two get together he just holds your hand a lot, its SO obvious he's liked you for like. forever though since EVERY TIME someone mentions your name or he sees you his tail starts wagging and he visibly perks up, also there was one specific time you had to leave for a mission that ended up taking forever and he was like dead weight the entire time you were gone. that r/ambien post that's just 'my wwwiwfie wife is visiting her mom and i miss her' post but its him abt u. when you got back he literally ran up to yu and picked you up, did not put you down (unless you ask him to)

-he barked at you one time because you snuck up on him late at night and you never let him live it down. he's SO mad he can't retaliate because whenever you meow at him or purr he just thinks its cute so he cant make fun of you for it >:/

besties this got so fucking long but heres a giant ramble about cherri

okay so. there are huge differences betwn cherri as a hyperviolent drac hunter and cherri as a friend of the four and cherri as the girls mentor. with the first one he was 17 and desperate to distance himself from his upbringing so he went all in on Being A Killjoy. he was always one of the first ppl to rush into a fight and he fought hard. he blew up his fuckin hand with that attitude. and all the while he was just racking up more unaddressed trauma and eventually he ran away from that, too. giving himself radiation poisoning was more appealing than facing his problems.

so as a teenager/young adult hes kind of constantly in a panicked state. hes scared the people from his past are going to find him and drag him back with them. so he lashes out and he runs away over and over again.

i said in another post that he has some past life shit goin on which usually would give him a connection to the witch that manifests early in life, but with all the stuff hes gone through he has been Preoccupied. he can become oblivious to almost anything that doesnt apply to whatever hes focused on. not in a hyperfocus way its likeeeeee. when u live on survival mode during prolonged periods of stress. hes immune to magic bullshit bc hes too tired and scared.

anyways around his mid-20s he finally has a little more stability (as much as the average person living in the zones can have, that is) and he finally notices that Weird Stuff happens around him. basically: out of my list of Powers People Connected To The Witch Have he has the prophetic dreams/enhanced intuition as well as a form of sensing ghosts where he can see auras and kind of like, echoes of past events in ppls lives. that look like auras. itz complicated and not of utmost importance so im leaving it at that.

anyways thats what makes him start writing poetry. just 4 funsies he'll describe his weird experiences and embellish them to make em pretty. just as a casual hobby n all that.

he would forget fun ghoul in between the times they ran into each other but its pretty easy to be reminded of who fun ghoul is. the most insane 10 year old cherri has ever met. cherri isnt a brother figure to ghoul. hes just. his friend that happens to be more than twice his age. its whatever lmao

to cherri, ghoul is kinda like a stray animal he keeps seeing. which is hilarious. ghoul actually goes and finds him to introduce him to jet when they start running together, and cherri meets party and kobra (spark and birdie at the time) when he drives the four of them to a party. because he has a truck hell yeah. so now instead of one stray animal he has, like, a feral cat colony that he drives around occasionally. i have no real-life human relationship equivalent to them because irl if some guy that is not related to any of you and isnt even a childhood or family friend and theyre hanging out with you? they are usually not a safe person lmao. but this is my fantasy land and im too stubborn to change anyones birth years even though ghoul being born in 2004 makes everything really hard to make not creepy.

so yeah hes a casual somewhat friend of the fab four. hed probably get more and more concerned as they got famous. the beginnings of any sort of protective feelings, awww :) that sets him up for becoming the girls mentor.

OH FUCK. THE GIRL..... i think if i was in my late 20s and i heard that the gang of 13-17 year olds had adopted a 5 year old kid i would go bananas. what the fuck. it is a LONG while before cherri meets her. but he has the strongest affection for ghoul (if you could even call it that) and ghoul absolutely adores the girl and swings her around under her arms like a cat to show her off to cherri and its very endearing and the girl is sweet and funny so its easy to be around her. and (unfortunately) she is somewhat used to interacting with weird easily agitated people so she kinda gives him space. cherri isnt quite the uncle figure the fandom usually makes him (i luv uncle cherri sm but he simply cannot exist in the universe ive created, f), but hes a little similar.

and then the four had to go and pretend to die. lol.

when the girl was kidnapped, fucking everyone who knew her was ready to storm the city then and there. like regardless of how little you knew her, if you had ever met her you would fucking die for her. she is pure childish charisma and shes precious. i love the girl. so cherris immediately on board with whatever plan the four make to get her back. ive already talked abt how it fucked up the girl tho; there was no way to tell her that the four werent actually dead, she sees the building collapse and she shuts down. and cherri has to fight against his instinct to leave the radio station and never come back when he sees an eight year old girl sitting dissociated on the couch. that fucks everyone up.

i just realized i havent talked about literally anyone else at the radio station. i think cherri started lingering around the station bc it was safe and sheltered while also not being a popular spot. there are less kids there (people pass through but its not a hangout spot). he was kind of just hanging around to get away from the heat and noise and dr d took notice. because that man can see ur soul and no one knows if thats literal or not. so theyd chat a few times a day and show pony was the one 2 get him out of his shell a little and also was the first one he mentioned his poetry hobby to. im making this all up right now as im writing bc i dont know anything about LITERALLY any of the ppl associated w the radio like im not even going 2 try with chimp n newsie i do not have the willpower to tackle all that. justttt. cherri pony n D become bros and live 2gether there.

back 2 the regular timeline. the rescue mission happens in 2019. the girl lives at the station until 2023. during that time she is very much depressed and withdrawn and is only happy when the four come to visit. none of the Adults know how to help her so they just keep her safe and cared for and hope she'll open up to them.

she does not. she takes the weird cat thats been hanging around and she runs away.

cherri does not see her for three years. shes still worse for wear in the mental health department and he can see all kinds of visions of what shes been through since the last time he saw her and he fucking hates the ultra vs bc they remind him of his past. he does not want her going down that path but its obvious that she isnt crazy abt the ultraviolence thing either so thats a relief.

they have a kind of tense relationship throughout the comics. he feels like he failed her and that spirals into feeling like he failed the four for not being a good adult to them and fun ghoul for not helping enough when his commune was bombed and all kinds of shit and that irrational thinking mixed with plain old, yknow, caring about the girl, is what makes him take a bullet (laser. whatever) for her.

i was trying to figure out the timing of each of their ghost experiences, but i want both of them to talk to the witch and im just gonna make it like dreams where a whole buncha stuff happens but irl its been like seconds. so its like barely a second while the girl has her Witch Convo and cherri FINALLY gets a straight answer, yes there is weird shit going on with him having powers. he doesnt have any story-significant past lives because im lazy, hes just an old soul. like really fuckin old. the amount of latent life experience and stuff his soul/energy/whatever has picked up along the way makes him VERY noticeable to gods n stuff. he fuckin lights up all the alarms like what the FUCK is that over there. she wasnt rly able to get to him or even properly notice him while he was a kid and a young adult so shes happy to finally see him again. he has a STRONG sense of familiarity with her. they know each other on a wild ass level that he cant really comprehend.

However if he was able to detect Virgil’s fear then this might be the first step of them growing closer. Idk which I like better, because on one hand I want them to to get along and witness wacky human things in an amicable atmosphere, but on the other hand, misunderstandings are soooo good!!!! Most of all I want Virgil to get a hug though. Poor boy deserves one. I don’t care with who it is, although I suspect it will be Patton because no way the other ones trust Virgil enough and vice versa.

I also imagine that Logan might keep his note taking to himself again for a bit, until Virgil believes that he’s not the bad kind of scientist.

I love that Virgil climbed on top of the tallest thing he could find, and I imagine that if it’s above everyone else’s usual eyelines, they each walk past him multiple times while they’re worriedly searching the ship for him.

I’m mostly imagining Virgil clinging to Patton like a lifeline and the other two aliens worrying for their tiny friend but Patton knows that Virgil is just scared and sings him the “calm down baby it’s okay I’m here” hatchling soothing song until Virgil calms down a little, and then still staying with him while explanations are had. They do not come out of the small space on top of the tallest appliance and Roman doesn’t like that but he’ll deal.

Now that I’m thinking about it more, one of the best ways for Logan to gain (at least a little bit of) Virgil’s trust would be for Virgil to see his honest reaction to what the other scientists did to him. Cause based on what I know of Logan, he would be horrified. And that might help Virgil to realize that Logan ISN’T LIKE those other scientists.

Here's what I’ve got for a Thunderbirds D&D AU! I'm not gonna get into numbers and stats and levels because I do that enough when I play normal d&d and I'm gay and tired. Also, there’s probably gonna be a touch of rule bending not only to reconcile d&d with the Thunderbirds canon but just to boost the fun factor a bit. It’s not like we’re setting up a playable campaign so it doesn’t really matter as long as we’re not making it unrecognisable as part of the d&dverse. At that point, you might as well just call it a fantasy AU (still lit tho lmao). This is mostly TOS based but I’ll add some notes on TAG stuff now and then in italics because I’m here to provide. It’s hefty, so everything's under the cut. Hopefully comprehensible.

IR (presumably going by some other name but we’ll just stick with that for sake of ease) is still a rescue organisation - it operates on a somewhat smaller scale but access to magic means it’s got a pretty big reach for typical d&d technology. It’s centred around an ancient deity that few people have heard of and even fewer worship. There’s only one known temple dedicated to said deity and it had been abandoned for a long time before they found it, so it’s currently being restored - if rather agonizingly slowly. Anyway, IR is deity-based because nothing screams “fight for a cause” like paladins! They’re paladins, mostly, is what I’m saying.

Jeff is likely an ex-adventurer, probably a paladin but I’m seriously considering cleric just for interest’s sake so sue me, I love clerics. His party did some pretty cool stuff back in the day, and adventuring pays well as long as you don’t die, so he’s pretty well off. He left the party and settled down in one place when Scott was born, and the rest of them presumably disbanded and went about their own lives eventually. Or maybe they’re still out there causing a ruckus. Who knows. Pretty easy to just say “and he’s not there anymore” for TAG, rationalise his disappearance as you please. Either way, at some point he decided to start an organisation that would make saving lives a bit more structured than the usual “Let's hope a squad of adventurers stumbles on our predicament” that people have been relying on.

Scott is a Battle Master archetype fighter who multiclassed into paladin. Battle Master provides the most appropriate mechanics for a field leader, and also seems like the sort of thing Scott would have been doing previous to IR. He’s the least proficient spellcaster of the group if only by virtue of his class, but access to paladin magic gives his fighting an extra kick which, along with the Battle Master maneuvers, makes him pretty damn dangerous with a sword. It also means he can cast Find Steed, and because said steed’s form can go beyond normal when permitted by the DM and we’re making the rules here I’m giving him a pegasus, which is about the fastest flying mount you could get as far as the monster manual goes. A roc would just be too much. Very VERY cool. But too much.

Virgil is a College of Lore bard into paladin. When it comes to support classes, nothing beats a College of Lore bard for versatility. He’s got the range, darling. Slap an arsenal of magic items on that and you’re well on your way to the d&d equivalent of Thunderbird 2. He has some good offensive spells and weapon training but mostly works to keep others from getting hurt. With a high constitution, the Tough feat, good armour and a shield he pretty much becomes a mobile wall to be put between danger and anyone who can’t take too many hits. Find Steed again lets me give him something interesting to ride, and what better than an owlbear. A big one. Not quite as appropriate stat-wise as the pegasus for Scott but when it comes to aesthetics I’m yet to find something as good as a bear-shaped and -sized owl.

John is predominantly a Divination wizard, with a low paladin level - two maximum - giving him access to a lot of powerful magic but leaving him, how do you say, squishy. Divination is gameplay-wise pretty underwhelming, with not many spells to its name, but for someone whose job is centred around keeping an eye on things, the ability to see very far away and receive premonitions is gonna be useful. The system by which distress calls are sent is giving me some concept trouble but when it comes to receiving it’s as easy as a focus with some capability to project images and sound, gear already necessary to cast Scrying. So, as in canon, rather than going out on missions (at least for the most part), it’s John’s job to keep tabs on incoming signals and active operations. This is all based in the previously mentioned temple - out of the way enough to let me call it a T5 equivalent. He also has the secondary job of making sure nothing else tries to take up residence in the decrepit building. They had to clear it of goblins the first time. As far as Eos goes I don’t have room for all my thoughts (so many) but let’s call her a sentient magic item. Additionally, TAG John probs gets a level or two in cleric.

Gordon is a paladin into druid, Circle of the Land (Coast). He and Alan didn't have any previous class levels before becoming paladins. Neither of his classes give any bonuses for it beyond proficiency for paladins but nobody can stop me from making his primary weapon a longbow, plus the Sharpshooter feat is helpful. Coast druid is the only subclass of any d&d class that has a specific focus on water and what could go wrong if we let him turn into animals? It also has some good circle spells, when he gets to that point. He’d probably have a lot of fun with Mirror Image. There was probably an incident that catalysed his becoming a druid, I'd like to think it's the equivalent of the boat crash just placed on a different point in the timeline. Might get into it at a later date.

Alan is just pure paladin, it's all he's really had time to do with his life so far beyond being a kid and growing up, y'know? I’ll get a little into the subclass here, all of IR’s 3rd level or higher paladins take Oath of Devotion. From the PHB: “These paladins meet the ideal of the knight in shining armor, acting with honor in pursuit of justice and the greater good.” Devotion’s core tenets are honesty, courage, compassion, honor, and duty. Also their Channel Divinity: Sacred Weapon is just really cool. Who doesn’t like glowing stuff, man. Alan's got some more powerful paladin abilities than any of his brothers but probably has the lowest total level regardless. Giving him the Athlete feat, which lets him jump and climb a lot easier, feels appropriate. He snuck a griffon home when it was a baby, and is trying to train it. It's not very well behaved and causes a ruckus when it gets bored but he adores it. One day it’ll make a phenomenal companion. For now, it will continue to attempt to eat his fingers.

Brains is an artificer! Love that class. Artificers, rather than casting spells (though they can do that), make magic items. The artificer class is from Unearthed Arcana and a lot of the mechanics can be hit or miss, it’s been revised many times by lots of different people. But when it comes to the basic idea, it’s the obvious choice for Brains. The less common a magic item, the longer it takes and harder it is to make. The higher level an artificer the more, and more powerful, their creations are. Pretty simple. Also pretty much every version of artificer you come across has some sort of option for a mechanical companion so there’s MAX for you.

Tin-Tin is also an artificer, with a few levels in paladin for good measure. Her time is split between making and repairing gear and going out on missions, and when on call is incredibly useful for lightning fixes and is incredibly creative when it comes to the ways magic items (and nonmagic items) can be used to get out of predicaments. This is the character who constantly has Inspiration. Kayo is an Assassin archetype rogue into paladin. Assassins do… a lot of damage. If you know much about d&d rules (I don’t expect you to), the only thing scarier than a bard, stat wise, is a rogue. +10 to stealth is pretty easy to get by 5th level, combine that with Sneak Attack and Assassinate and you can deal up to 26 damage in one hit with a dagger alone. I said I wouldn’t do any maths but I lied.

Penny doesn’t necessarily have any class levels, though rogue would be appropriate. She falls more under the NPC umbrella, somewhere between Noble and Spy, perhaps? NPCs have a lot less restrictions when it comes to what they can and can’t do laterally, but it’s harder to make them powerful without assigning a class. I also think it’d be really neat to use the fantasy setting to make her nonhuman. High elf would be fitting and cool, but she’d also make a fantastic tiefling. Though, like, call me biased, everyone would make a fantastic tiefling.

I think that’s all I’ve got to say on the matter right now. I have a lot more specific details that I’ll get to eventually but this post is more of a jumping off point listing some options for anyone else who might want to mess around with a d&d AU but doesn’t know where to start. Pick out things you like, ditch things you don’t, add whatever sounds cool, and honestly? Congratulations on getting through this whole thing. This post is kind of in shambles. And thanks! I love taking any excuse to pore over these books.

14. Do they have someone that they consider to be a family member, even if they’re not related to your character by blood? What was one of your character’s favourite moments with them, and what makes them so special to them?

CUCKOOCHIRP || hmmm let’s see….excluding his family (breamcloud, eveningscale, mintcloud, vervainstripe), then that would have to be Appleleaf, the ShadowClan seer! I’ve mentioned before that hazelnose was suffering from memory loss/degradation towards the mid/end of cuckoothroat’s apprenticeship and appleleaf was the one who stepped up and helped him with his training. Cuckoochirp came to both care about and admire appleleaf and they are always the first cat that cuckoochirp turns to when he needs advice or tips. They’re a very talented medicine cat and clever/crafty, which cuckoochirp also looks up to a lot; the duo developed a mentor-apprentice like relationship from early on and they’re both always excited to see each other. Cuckoochirps favorite moments with appleleaf were probably general training times! Appleleaf naturally couldnt just up and leave shadowclan for days, so theyd come by and visit or cuckoo would scamper on off to shadowclan for seer advice and lessons!  Cuckoochirp thinks of the times when they’d both walk around the territories and examine herbs and their uses very fondly! 

NIGHTTHROAT || OUGH OBVIOUS ANSWER BUT vervainstripe! Vervainstripe was the first friend nightthroat ever made in riverclan and i just dropped a little fic that touched up on their kind of dynamic just now but!!! Theyre very close and best friends, and nightthroats pretty much been absorbed into vervainstripes family because of how vervain as an apprentice would basically drag/invite night onto every endeavor or task at any opportunity he could!!!! Nightthroats favorite moments with vervainstripe would be their time alone when he and vervain would/do go out on walks. Vervain tends to ramble about a lot of things all at once and night might not believe in everything vervain chatters about he still listens fondly and endearingly bc he just loves it when his little buddy talks!Hes also pretty close with his apprentice shrewpaw! Theyre both rather mellow/logical cats and shrew actually went to night first about his gender issues and once he worked through it with nightthroat he went on to tell his family and the rest of his clan!

ROSEPAW || rosepaws got quite the growing amount of friends HA…besides his blood family in riverclan (hornetflower, beestorm and lightningface, honeystream), rosepaws closest to sootpaw, rookpaw and minkclaw! He used to be really close to swallowfang (his old windclan mentor) but after swallowfang helped orchestrate rosepaws escape from winclan (in secret) she had to drop contact with him in case yellow or gray go too suspicious. Besides that, rookpaw was one of rosepaws only friend in windclan (sycamorepaw/smokepaw/willowpaw were/are his friends but they were usually bustled away from contact with rosepaw bc the adults just. Wanted the kids to stay out of the drama). Rookpaw had been rosepaw’s best friend since their nursery days and when rosepaw was confined to the seer’s den, rookpaw would often worm his way into the den despite the disapproval of others and care for/curl around rosepaw (he’d bring him food and groom him as well). Rookpaw took a lot of care of rosepaw when he was still in windclan and he still keeps a good ear out for him now that rose is in riverclan!Now onto SOOTSY ROLL and MINKSTER….sootpaw was rosepaws first friend when he joined riverclan and as ive mentioned before they hit it off real quick due to their feelings of not having enough ties within riverclan! They quickly became best friends and, thanks to the fact that their mentors are also best friends, the duo practically do everything together in riverclan! Rose often drags soot along for things and soot makes sure that his dumb ass doesnt like, slam face first into a hive of bees (they have a very hornet-mink kind of friendship except soot can also be pretty reckless, but she’s grown a bit more hesitant/careful since the event with ashpaw happened). And mink/rose are obviously close because mink helped with rose’s rescue mission and now, as his mentor, the two spend a lot of time together. Rose has come to view mink in a very comforting position - almost like a better older sister or maybe even a mother figure (though he typically jokingly refers to hornetflower as mom). Theyre very attached to each other and care abt each other a lot!!!

OTTERPAW || once again excluding his blood relatives (lampreyface, shrewpaw, harrierpaw and cricketkit!), otterpaw is closest to hollypaw and chubstream! Ur gonna see a lot of really close-knit mentor/apprentice relationships in this story FHBDSHFD its rare to find a set who didnt like each other (i mean it happens but its just unusual)Hollypaw is otterpaws best friend since the nursery days as well, and although otterpaw is skilled at caring for kits and nursery issues, hollypaw is the one who steps up and takes care of otterpaw. Otter tends to be reckless when paired up with cats his age, and with his history with his father elmfoot, holly is quick to jump to otters defense in any time of need. In fact, it was hollypaw and sootpaw who were the ones who rescued otterpaw from his dad one day and holly literally fought elmfoot for otterpaw while soot ran off to get help. Theyre still super close and because of how close they are gorsefang is also on relatively good terms with otterpaw - they can be rather brunt and emotionally distant but theyve accepted otterpaw into their family as hollypaw’s best friend and gorse will get involved in trouble if it means protecting their son and his best friend from danger!Chubstream is also naturally close to otterpaw because chub is his mentor! Chub was ecstatic when otterpaw came to caretaking and was assigned as his apprentice and chub is a very encouraging and sweet figure in otterpaws life!Also of course rosepaw and otterpaw are growing closer but theyre not like family close lol theyre just good fwiends

CHUBSTREAM || CHUBBY BUBBY… i mentioned earlier that otterpaw/chubstream are close of course so besides that and his blood relatives (briarflower, minkclaw), chubstream is particularly tight with craneheart and even gorsefang, surprisingly! I mentioned earlier (again audhfusidf) that gorsefang had good terms with otterpaw, and as both chub + gorse are caretakers they found themselves hanging out more and more as otterpaws training went on. Chub however has always been pretty close with craneheart, and he was particularly involved in sootkit’s (and ashkit’s) nursery days when they were brought to riverclan. The three are good friends and although gorsefang comes off a little distant, they all care abt each other nonetheless

CUCKOOCHIRP || nnnnnnnnno honestly. Cuckoo is very empathetic and the idea of hurting others or stepping on others reaaaally doesnt sit right with him. He doesnt agree that the ends justify the means especially if youre hurting, damaging or even killing someone in the process and this is one of the few things that can land you in permanent hot water with mr cuckoochirp 

NIGHTTHROAT || hmm this one i gotta think about. I think nightthroat would agree with this but there’d have to be a limit? Of course he doesnt agree with getting others hurt bc huoy but he also doesn’t like the idea of being stagnant just because ur afraid of confrontation. Hes good at speech and talking and if theres something that needs to get done he’d rather talk it out or talk out a way that doesn’t end up hurting anyone emotionally/mentally or physically - but he does understand the idea in the most extreme circumstances.

ROSEPAW || another toughy! Rose doesnt agree with hurting others but hes okay with playing with peoples feelings and hes known to flirt and be cutesy/pretty when he wants something (hornetflower has given a lecture or too bc sometimes rose will try to flirt with an apprentice in another clan to will them to give him their most recent fresh catch lmao) but he doesnt agree with it if its like. Physically or extremely damaging, you know? In minor cases hes okay with it and even does it but in the grand scheme hes not fond of it lol

OTTERPAW || also a BIG no like cuckoochirp! Otter dealt with a lot of horrible shit from his father that could be boiled down to “the end (making otterpaw stronger for survival) justified the means (abusing him)” so he doesnt agree with it at all. However hes not exactly the most caring of others? He cares a lot about kits in the nursery and works well with them, but cats his age and older he can come off as kinda stand-offish and when it comes to drama like someone getting hurt by another persons path, he tends to stay out of it

CHUBSTREAM || another no! Chubs empathetic like cuckoo and he actively will get pissed at you if you hurt someone just because they were in the way of what you wanted. Hes not easy to anger but this will be something that really pisses him off

CUCKOOCHIRP || cuckoo had a lot of self esteem issues growing up. He wasnt bad at training as a warrior, but he wasnt happy and it wasnt sitting with him so around them he probably pictured his grown up self as just. Another face in the crowd? Nothing special or important - when he went into seer training, his mood brightened a lot but his moods take major dips after losses, especially after the loss of robinstream and hazelnose. then , his future self would switch based on his mood: sometimes he pictured himself as well liked and a crafty seer who went down in history with a positive note, or on bad days he imagined he’d end up as a disaster seer that ran riverclan into the ground. Nowadays hes a good seer - he’s good at his job and he’s great at making friends and alliances, and pretty popular amongst the population of the season change setting!

NIGHTTHROAT || nightthroat when he was a kid probably didnt see his future self as..even existing. His mother constantly told him how hard life was and he trained under her strictly learning how to survive - his mother had lost litters before due to inexperience and by the time she had night, her biggest focus was making sure he had learned enough to survive. Any idea of his future self that night had wouldve boiled down to either being dead due to external forces or a hardened rogue living on his own, and rather lonely. However he joined riverclan and now he’s got friends that he loves and cares for deeply and his life isnt nearly as hardened or lonely as he initially imagined it would be

CHUBSTREAM || pretty cut and dry! He imagined he’d live a long happy life with his mother and sister in riverclan, and he’s growing up that path right now! He’s very content in life and with the place he’s at right now

He may be allowed to venture into shadowclan’s territory since shadowclan and riverclan are on good terms (and b/c apple and cuckoo are close), but windclan and thunderclan warriors wouldnt take kindly to cuckoochirp stepping over their border boundaries willy-nilly 

NIGHTTHROAT || talk about his own emotions without fear of how others would reject or react to him - maybe even ask someone specific out on a date. He’s a good mediator and he’s great at debating + speech but he rarely opens up about his own feelings

ROSEPAW || meet up with his friends whenever he pleased. He doesnt really care about borders as much, and he’d love to be able to cross and visit his friends in their camps whenever he wanted to!

OTTERPAW || word………………..probably just have a night to himself away from the camp? Or maybe just him and the cats close to him? Sometimes being in a large group gets overwhelming and he just wants to take it slow for a day

He can even stand up to someone who’s terrified him - and he will which you guys will see happen in action eventually on. He has his own ways of standing up for himself/for others and being defiant against what he’s scared of

NIGHTTHROAT || :)………………he deals with a great big fear in the comic and you’ll just have to wait and see how he handles that huh ;)))

ROSEPAW || nooOOOoooo he won’t even go near windclan territory because he’s scared of it. He’d rather chase his own thrills or what he’s comfortable with rather than deal with whatever petrifies him the most. He’d probably lash out and grow aggressive if placed into a situation where he had to face those kind of fears/trauma

OTTERPAW || another great big no to both! Otter has developed a severe fear of water/being in water due to his father, so he stays away from venturing into water. He grows sick/queasy when he’s so much as paw deep in water and often crosses the territory via dry spots. He relies on hollypaw heavily when he’s scared and he would panic and flounder if dropped into the water randomly 

CHUBSTREAM || i think chub could face his fears - he’s deeply worried about losing those he loves, especially with how close he came to losing minkclaw when she was injured by that fox as an apprentice. However if he ever did lose someone he was close to, he’d grieve but he would move on, eventually. Life goes on

Yes he was starboy lol. Trust me i try to just chill when its him and his friends cuz its just a game and ik we're not winning, if we do its a damn miracle or a random carried us lmao but... duos doesn't go any better dude. He tries but he doesn't know how to play/build so everytime we get into a fight he goes down, especially if it's the last fight, I'll be in my build battle and the first gun shot I hear is almost always followed by the ding of a fallen ally sound 😩 im not kidding when i say when he was helping me grind to finish my battle pass last week in duos we didn't win anything at all, which is fine that wasnt my intent, but as soon as I went and did 1 last minute mission to go and finish a quick objective (my intent was to do it fast in solos and leave) the match went by so fast I stayed to the end and ended up winning a solo match, which I rarely ever do in fortnite (my record is abysmal because fortnite is my first true shooter game (since ppl dont count OW as a true shooter with all the very non shooty characters and moba mechanics).

PVE is fine, we're ok in save the world mode and killing floor 2, but he even had a hard time in castle crashers dude, i though it was just a hard level until I played with my brother (who admittedly used to play it on Xbox 360 a lot but that was years ago and he was significantly younger then) and we were flying thru the stages. But there was also a good while where he told me he didn't rly wanna play save the world with me cuz he thought he was bothering me? Cuz since he's significantly lower level than me cuz hes again, new at fortnite in general, I would just give him all the weapons and supplies he needed and I guess he didn't like that and thought he was annoying me? When in reality the only thing that annoys me is when ppl don't do the damn objective and help!!! Like if im gonna be the hard carry fighting these zombies at the very least help build or find the robots we need around the map or SOMETHING don't just sit there breaking things u know!!! That makes me think he either doesn't like to be carried around like that or doesn't like ME carrying him around like that but its like? I wish I had someone to do that for me when I was playing cuz tho STW is an rpg its like 5 different kinds of games smashed into 1 and its confusing! I'm lucky I made friends and we helped each other out (sadly they all moved on from fortnite for things like rocket league??) But getting thru STW solo is not only confusing but kinda boring and is best played with friends!!! Okay so I don't have any drama college stories myself but of course I've heard some crazy shit (usually nasty unethical professor stuff) but how crazy is yours on a scale of 1-10.

but besides that we had so much crap like

two girls fainting during class (one of them fainting TWICE bc shes a dumbass who doesnt know how to take care of herself and what pills she should take. the best is, it only happened when we were studying in the 2nd/3rd floor, and her bf would try to carry her down the stairs like a hero but barely managed to Not roll down the steps w her it was wild);

getting stranded in a distant town where we were filming a documentary for an assignment. it was getting dark and the bus wasnt coming so we 100% had to hitch a ride w a stranger and we coulda died man;

the reprographics room was robbed once and people were downright made hostage there. we werent there tho, so its not Personal Drama;

my friends ex husband sent a bouquet to her during class (they had just split up and he was trying to butter her up), we pretended it was for another one of our friends so the Gossipers wouldnt jump on it. later we divided the bouquet between us, there was a rose for each one of us!!! i put mine in a big plastic cup on the kitchen sink;

same ex husband went berserk and tried to force my friend to talk to him by coming to our building while we were in class and there was an entire Mission to keep him away from her (while no one else in class knew why we were going in and out of the room) and she went to the police to press charges against him after that;

my group stole the room reserved to students from More Important Majors in a charity event by getting there earlier than them and decorating everything, thus being hated by Everyone (we were supposed to be cast away to some open space not at all suited for the activities we were planning so HAH)

during this charity event, we were hanging out in a slider and then one of us realized there was a fuckin snake coiled up on the ceiling and we stayed for a full ten minutes not believing him until we got out and saw its little face between the tiles from outside and we coulda died man;

me n my friends sat on the cafeteria to have lunch one morning and we ended up telling each other abt Every Bad Thing thats ever happened to us (we took a selfie while hugging and crying)

my group of friends and another group (the Gossipers mentioned) in class are Mortal Enemies but we are Fake as Hell to each other; its the greatest Cold War of All Time (i thought they were decent people until we Shared Information and found out they talked shit abt us lmao);

theres this kid from the night classes who likes one of my friends. but one of our classmates (a Gossiper) likes him, and this chick talked a lot of shit abt my friend to him. little does she know that he shows all the audios and screenshots to my friend and theyre joined up in messing w her;

the Drama that sparked that post: me and some of my friends finished this last test, and this one woman, who called me an individualist for not helping everyone cheat in tests, was passing the answers to her friend. she had finished her test too and was outside the door, gesticulating for her friend who was still doing her test. theyre two of the Gossipers, and they have like a fuckin militia of cheating, which is why my politics of Not Throwing My Test Answers on Peoples Laps ticked them off. one of my friends was still inside the room, finishing her test too, and she was working her ass off (i even tutored her the day before) and when she saw those chicks cheating she snapped and told the teacher, whos like, a fuckin Sacred Monster, God I Want to Be Her. and, u see, this is a teaching course, so being caught cheating in a test is so much worse than in other majors, and these chicks are regarded as hard workers and Saints and Brilliant Future Professors by our teachers so u imagine how it was when the teacher caught them. they were so adamant that they werent cheating that the teacher ended up not taking away their tests, though she threatened to leave them w no score if she saw they had the same answers. BUT later that day, my friend who told on them sent the teacher Hard Evidence that they always cheat in tests: screenshots from their group chat, courtesy of our Very Own Spy. and now, the teacher is fuckin furious bc, before that, she had uncovered Another militia of cheating in one of the night classes, which is prolly connected to our class’, and we are wondering if shes going to makes us do another test and it was Real Drama seeing what was happening on the Gossipers group chat (panicking + calling my friend who told on them a “bitter bitch”), covering our tracks and not putting our spy in jeopardy. soon their reputation w all teachers will be on the mud and im Loving it;

once, our literature teacher caught us burying a dead little bird in front of our building.

It’s not like I’m doing anything else so yeah, why not. I just won’t ones that might not apply. I’ll put some of this under a read more:

1. Describe your comfort zone—a typical you-fic.

usually some sort of character study of sorts mixed in with scattered events to lead to an ultimate end goal.

um, a LOT, like a ton of them my main one is a college au of sorts centering around Yuuri and Phichit as well as Victor, its title is Made of Stars and its gonna be fun to write

i mean, i guess im okay at character studies, but i dunno, im really not super great

pretty much everything, im not great at connectivity or writing in a pretty style. like i just kinda write, im not particularly great at it

This is from chapter 5 of You’re Not Alone:He danced because he skated, and he skated because skating was flying. And somewhere along the way he forgot what had drawn him to it the first place. He supposed that that was what he was searching for some days, that spark that started everything.

That spark that started a fire, a fire that’s flames were the smallest they had ever been. It was almost funny how one small moment could all but extinguish him. A spark started it all, ballet was just kindling, ice skating was logs, and he was a forest ablaze. But it was as if that one moment had sucked the oxygen from the air and the flames died, it suffocated him.

This is a bit flowwier than some of what i write, it’s one of my favorite lines because it encompasses what i have him feeling in that exact moment

8. Share a snippet from one of your favorite dialogue scenes you’ve written and explain why you’re proud of it.

I think this is one of my favorites, it’s from chapter 17 of You’re Not Alone:

“I’m glad too,” Otabek smiled. “It’s how this doing goes though. You dedicate your soul, mind, and body to the ice and you don’t always get to leave without losing something to it. It’s give and take, we’re all just caught in an intricate dance until the fates bottom us out one way or another.”

“When did you go all serious on me?” Yuri teased. He had gotten used to Otabek’s propensity for the occasional dramatic monologue though, they gave a good look into the head of his friend.

“Think about it Yuri,” Otabek clearly wasn’t done. “Here we are, the pinnacle of humanity, literally trying to carve a place for ourselves in history. We have to fight the fundamentals of the universe to do what we do, work against gravity itself all while having a timer above our heads. Who knows when it will expire and the ice will take it all away. We fight everything to be able to do this: the laws of physics, the passing of time, even our own bodies. I guess You’re Not Alone just because of how long it is, but it depends. some of it has been very easy to write and some of it ( ahem my current chapter) has been really hard

if you have an idea, write it down immediately. it doesnt matter if youre currently engaged in something else, write that shit down or you WILL lose it

ive gotten a few upset reviews about something i included in You’re Not Alone, but i cant do much about it. i once got a review about four chapters in asking why yuri had a menstrual cycle and this wasnt rude exactly, but how do you read that far without knowing he’s trans in my fic

Episode 2 - “Even though I won my minigame, our tribe still took an asspounding” - Dylan

As Owen & Julian returned to Cahaya, episode two begun, with a flash game wagering challenge. On the Obor beach, the “Charlie” alliance remained dominant over the tribe, while on Cahaya, alliances were more fluid, but with Isaac & Julian emerging as potential targets.

After a somewhat decisive Cahaya win in the challenge, Jess & Olivia were sent over to infiltrate the Obor tribal council (woo feminism?). After kick-starting the tribe’s first tribal call, Jess/Trent begun to fostering a relationship that would continue through to the endgame, and Rob emerged as a consensus for being the person people had spoken to least.

As tribal approached, Rob felt increasingly nervous, sensing his name was out there and targeted Kenny as an alternative vote. While he may have been unsuccessful in saving himself, he did manage to convince Dylan out of pity to throw his vote on Trent, causing a degree of paranoia over an already fractured Obor tribe.

At tribal itself, Rob was sent out 7-1-1, leaving the returnee infiltrators paranoid they were being framed, and the king of card pyramids out of the game.

So I did not participate in the challenge at all since the last couple days have been relatively slow. I did maybe two things and was guilty af about it but we won! I love not having to worry about stuff like getting eliminated. I approached Stoner & Jess about making an alliance and we sealed the deal and Stoner dubbed it Snap, Crackle, Pop which is a very lame name but tbh I’m so glad to be in an alliance I’m ok being named after a freakish cereal-peddling breakfast gnome. Jess & Stoner definitely know what’s up in the game and are fucking hilarious but dealing with smart people means you can assume they’re thinking as  logically as you and thus it’s easier to appeal to their interests rather than dealing with more histrionic personalities. I also suggested we create a larger alliance roping in Olivia & Michael as they’re the most active. Michael’s a nice dude with similar interests and Olivia is super sweet and funny so I guess I’ll include them for selfish reasons. I’m just worried I’m overplaying at this point. Definitely think the less active people will be the first to go but I wanna keep winning  so I don’t have to worry as much. :’)

Not only is this dude not pulling his weight in challenges, being very insistent on how he should infiltrate the other tribe, he’s also talking crap about us in a public forum. Chill out dude, you’re making yourself a target. Regarding the challenge I kinda outsmarted it (outfoxxed it?) by saying we all play each of the games first and then decide based on such information who plays what and seeing how talented some people in are at some games and less so in others it seems to be paying off for us so far. Let’s hope I can continue to be friendly and helpful without making myself out to be too big of a personality. It’s not about how good I think I’m doing; it’s about how others think I’m doing and what they choose to do with that.

Really was considering putting up a fight for being part of the Infiltration because I really don’t wanna miss out but the last thing one needs at this point is bad publicity. My goal right now is to keep winning and try to form something of a majority alliance so I can avoid tribal council but also remain secure in the event we have to go. I’m glad if someone did go though it’s Olivia & Jess, two people I’ve built solid relationships with and hopefully they fan give us an idea on what’s on the other side. I’m really upset it took me this long to return to the prowl. I really do build up my self-esteem and suffering from anxiety and depression all my life makes me afraid to step out but I’m able to take center stage if I need to! Not having my anxiety meds for months has turned me into a mumbly, absent-minded, socially awkward mess but I think I’m managing surprisingly well. The other tribe might start feeling demoralized soon with losing back to back and the fact they’re already fairly inactive if Julian & Owen are to believed makes me a bit sad for them. But that sadness is quickly overtaken by pure...idk? Satisfaction that we’re winning so much. Let’s hope I don’t get too cocky and fuck it up...again. Foxes are cunning or something.

I got stomped in that challenge.  We lost hard though at least it wasnt just me.  Rob is gonna be the one to go cuz he talks the least. It makes me sad cuz we talked about music and stuff. I told him that I used to play French horn in middle school and people said it was a nerdy instrument, and he said it was a cool instrument. He seems like a really nice person. I wish he could stay.  But everyones gotta go sooner or later, myself included. And I think when we merge or swap, the other tribe is much more intense than this one. It might get zany up in here.

Alright so I actually made a video confessional for this round but I rambled and mumbled too much so you are all stuck reading a JK Rowling novel length confessional. So... within the first couple of days the words "Guyana" and "2nd place" have come up at least 15 times each. This is my legacy I guess. However, these people are making it something legendary when in reality I was slaughtered and left for dead. Stoner needs to be like Anna and LET IT GO. Honestly though, I don't really mind Stoner but I know he's charming his way across the tribe being buddy buddy with everyone. When you ask ANYONE on the returnee tribe who they like 9/10 will say "Stoner and Foxx". That to me POTENTIALLY translates to "Stoner and Foxx are making chats with everyone and trying to pull in a 3rd, 4th, or 5th". That or I need to punch myself in the face. It's anyones guess? Olivia approached me about forming a group of us two and Stoner and Foxx. I don't want that thumb print in this game. Am I against it? (yes)... I don't trust these three for shit. Am I going to refuse it? HELL NAW. I basically pushed the responsibility of forming this group onto Olivia so I don't have any responsibility for this group if it gets out. LITERALLY a couple hours after... OWEN approaches me with a proposal of a group consisting of myself, Owen, Olivia, Stoner, and Foxx. HMM. LITERALLY EVERYONE WHO I DON'T WANT TO WORK WITH IN THIS GAME... You see.. I really want to work with Michael. He ticks every box in a potential alliance mate in this game. However, if this gets out I'm fucked. I'm going to die. I also really wouldn't mind working with Matt B. He's an intellectual but he could potentially murder me. SPEAKING OF MURDER.... I have to murder someone on this Obor tribe. Why did I want to be an infiltrator? I'm a crackhead and boredom. I also wanted to keep to use this as an opportunity to bond with whoever I buddied up with from my tribe and use this as a way to get sassy details from the newbies. Speaking of these newbies.. Did y'all feel them crack? Talking to them was like talking to 4 kids on coke. They were all over the place!  We initiated the first tribe call and I think that was a pretty strategic move on my part. I kind of wanted to see dynamics and see how people meshed on call. Calls are kind of the hardest places to hide in my opinion.. HOWEVER, everyone just randomly left after a while so mission failed? I decided to use this as an opportunity to talk to Trent. Trent is someone who I know of through a friend. I've only heard nice things about him and that he's insanely loyal. HOWEVER...................... WOW................... He basically spilled his whole game in a heartbeat to me and I'm kind of shook. I'm still shooketh to the core currently. It's a LOT. He essentially confessed that he's incredibly social and incredibly good at competitions. He also went on to say that he believes he has a strong hold on these newbies. All of these are red flags for me because I strongly believe that we are TRYING to play the same game. I might have to start a #Trentexposedparty in the future? He also said he's good with Anabel and Kenny. So if this ever turns into a Vets .vs. Noobs situation... yikes. I think I'm good? I HOPE. I think keeping Trent in the loop for now is incredibly beneficial. I just pray he's not as open as he is with everyone else like he is with me. Now I cant vote rob because that would make me a liar, I'm thinking of voting myself but I know that would put a target on me and the others would know that it was I who voted myself. I don't know what to do. On a lighter note, there was a tribe call yesterday evening, and it was really fun! It was so nice to talk to everyone and hear their voices.

I am almost positive the Idol has been found and that is...um, what’s the word? Bad. Frankly I don’t think having an Idol is a huge benefit besides information and peace of mind but the fact we might have an issue with it where we have to counter with split votes and stuff is going to be a headache. As much as I like my tribe and how similar are interests are winning a lot does sort of create this no-stakes game where you just small talk to the same people every 2-3 days. I’m gonna miss it when the game gets intense but rn I’m on edge. Though I’m always down to sling some dice and I made a half-joke that our tribe should play some D&D and hooooly shit would that be amazing if it happened

a part of me wishes that there was some drama / beef between players because that would make it much easier to vote people out. There's a consensus to vote rob and the reasoning behind that is that he hasn't talked much in the chat, nor has he talked much to players. To me, that's sort of an iffy to vote someone out but then again, if not Rob, then who? Voting Evan was a bit more obvious of a choice, even though it was as hard (for me at least), but I didn't even think of Rob as an option to vote out until someone in my alliance brought his name up. I'm in an alliance with trent, chris, anabel and leigh. Even though we're the majority, I have a feeling I'm in the bottom of my alliance so I don't want to rock the boat for now.

Getting back from the other tribe was scary bc I had literally no info to give. That tribe didn’t give me any dynamics. But I did find out that jess and foxx wanted to pull in chris olivia and someone else (michael maybe?) for a five person alliance. Like wtfffff!?!?!? Why would chris and jess not work to include me in a five with foxx? Fuck that. So I went to jess and acted like I didn’t know and I brought up the idea of a five person alliance to her of her me foxx chris and olivia lmao and told her I’d talk to foxx a lil more. Then I tried to talk to foxx but it didn’t go so well I just have a hard time thinking what to say to him..,, So honestly idk. The good thing is I feel okay socially with isaac and matt, Julian and chris have our group and I like olivia and jess. Foxx and michael are my only real disconnects and I have the feeling the others might go for Julian if we lose..... which would be sad but not the worst thing in the world. Another night another loss. My fantastic tribe lost another immunity challenge. I feel like this is going to be a trend. Everybody is sooo quiet. Jess and olivia came  over to our tribe after we loss and i bonded with them a little bit. Hopefully im making decent friends with the returnees, enough I can use that to keep me in if a swap happens. Hopefully since they haven't lost they are all itching to play the game and i can help spark that and get them to turn on themselves. Tonight's vote SHOULD be 8-1 for rob is everyone is being trust worthy. my alliance of 5 (me, anabel, leigh, chris, and lorelei) is still going strong. Not sure I 100% trust chris because I think he's being friendly with everyone. But luckily I am too. Pretty good relationship with with Dylan and pretty good with Kenny while he's a little quieter. Hopefully I'm in a decent spot after tonight. We will see

After taking an asshole pounding from the last round, it became obvious that I needed to make sure I was good with everyone on my tribe. This means telling 4 different people (Chris, Anabel,Rob and Kenny) I trust them the most. I like trent a lot but I can tell hes going to be a social and physical threat down the road compared to the other people on this rookies tribe. I was stuck on cubefield at 501k for a few hours then got a funny feeling that if I didnt score higher if lose my matchup and my intuitive ass was correct in predicting I would have lost by 1k points. Even though I won my minigame, our tribe still took an asspounding. Robs name was thrown out almost immediately by just about everyone, so I tried to hint that he may be the target but he didn't get it I guess. so the most difficult part of this round was figuring out what to tell rob for a vote. After an astonishing 15 fucking hours, he finally told me hed be down to do Kenny. Cool vote Kenny. I do feel bad though, so im going to throw my vote on trent as I feel he is least likely to be targeted on my tribe at the moment, and it could potentially spice things up!

following the first round, i feel like i was able to get in a decent spot where i wouldn’t be targeted first.  i feel like i’m pretty active, and i’m trying to do my best and conversation with people.  i think i wanna tru and solidify SOMETHING with someone because its these early alliances and bonds that tend to run deep into the game with.  However one thing i’m never good at is determining when to initiate game talk.  like i wanna ask about their thoughts on other people and who they think we could work with, but my fear is starting that talk and then being viewed as paranoid and a gamer.  And this early on i really don’t wanna have to deal with that.   i think this round i felt a lot more laid back and not as active conversation wise.  with classes starting up i need to be on my A-Game from here on out.  i think if we lose next challenge, i should be fine.  people have talked about how issac just doesn’t seem to be here and julian is often gone/is crazy.  so those should be two easy boots, but you can never be certain in this game.   the damn torches are confusing as heck and idk what correlation they have on the game.  the idol search is fun being an easy grid but not fun bc i can’t find anything or forget to search.
