i'm working on the outline for his in between finishing up Soap's, so i def have a few! i really adore the idea of Gaz plotting something like this out from beginning to end. very methodical in his execution. cutting no corners, no stone unturned kinda thing. Price planned to an extent, but it was largely just vibes. Ghost had no plan to speak of. Soap grabs without thinking. but Gaz has everything mapped out to the finer details.

he's probably the one who has the biggest moral compass compared to the rest, but is also willing to purposefully hold up magnets to make it spin in the direction he wants. it's not necessarily nefarious. i think he just has a penchant to bend things. to test their limits. find their stress points. and this is that, but also, incredibly self indulgent. and he's aware of that. he knows what this is, and why he wants it/does it, but still goes for it.

he's craftier about it compared to the others, too. like, if the rest are just dogs, then he's definitely more of a wolf. probs not nearly as bad as Soap, but he's definitely a strong contender for second place in terms of dubious morality.

but i also think he's not as grizzled/damaged as the others, namely Price and Ghost, and so he's more willing to sit back and let things unfold when need be. pulling back to let things settle, breathe. granted, they're absolutely unfolding the way he wants them too, but if he feels a tug on the leash, he'll give you some slack. just enough, of course, to make you think you've gotten away. have space, distance, freedom. but whenever he wants, he can just pull you back to him. you'll never truly be free, but honestly—Gaz has a way of making you think everything is your choice, anyway. 

and alsoooooo. i really want to explore his temperament a bit. he seems so level headed, and mature for his age, but at the same time, so quick to anger. like it's always just kinda there under the surface. a low grade fever, in a way. and i love unraveling characters who are like that. finding their boiling point.

i think my top contenders for this is def dokyeom, mingyu, and hoshi. dino is a candidate but i think it depends on the situation or his mood tbh, and he can be that way if he rlly wants to ykyk

dokyeom is an overthinker (same w me tbh), and this poor boy immediately thinks worst case scenarios if you were mad or upset at him with something either big or small, joke or not. and he's pretty sensitive so it doesn't rlly help his case yk. you can probably be on your period or something and he doesn't know but he would still be like "why is she so upset with me?? i didn't do anything wrong, did i?" "are we breaking up?? if we're breaking up then something should have happened right?" he'd want to go on his knees to apologise for whatever but he's a bit Too scared. is literally melting into his own body n fidgeting just o v e r t h i n k i n g. someone save him pls

mingyu does it for pity points i swear. if it's something small and not serious he would literally be like "yah are you trying to kill me? I was two seconds away from having a heart attack!" but if it's something more serious and let's say mingyu had done something (like idk, hog the blankets all night kinda deal) and you're mad and ignoring him, he is literally going to be All up in your business. he's going to try and pry open your crossed arms, swing his legs over you so he could cuddle you to make you feel better, ANYTHING. "baby,, you're killing me here from you just ignoring me" :( his heart is aching and literally in pain when you're mad at him. it doesn't help that he devotes his entire being and soul to you and is very whipped. so anytime you're mad it feels like a gunshot to his heart

hoshi is kinda like a combo of the two, but unlike dokyeom he goes to lengths to figure out why you're mad yet DIRECTLY avoid asking you because he's a bit (very) ... intimidated. he can be asking his own members or searching freakin google to find his answers. he would google something like: "my s/o is mad at me and i have no idea what to do" and he would find answers on reddit or quora help. and he might get a lil frustrated and atp accept his fate. the longer you're mad and ignoring him literally feels like him getting shot with an arrow for every hour that passes. gives you a pouty face so you can see what he feels like and hopefully feel bad for ignoring him :((

Cleo - genuine contender for first place, honestly girl deserves it, no further comment

Scott - since its the curse break season, he's not going to be top 3 (somehow) but still doing good

Gem - I love her and it'd be so cool for her to win her first game (esp after causing half the servers deaths), but I think she'll be 6th, probably betrayed

Hermione being badass & put into a v cool plot w/ insane amounts of world building, so yeah, def a top 5 most contender <3

#4: The Infinitely Curious Woman by chararii (ao3) || literally ALL of their fics are absolute bangers, and while I forever mourn their decision to stop all Naruto fics thanks to the great harddrive incident of 2022, I have nonetheless the GREATEST respect to their skill & talent to bring SUCH LIFE to their stories. In particular, I chose this particular fic of theirs because the premise of Sakura making her own way by shedding off her morality the more she learned & got influenced by her 2 greatest teachers was absolutely nothing short of DIVINE. It was and IS such an inspiration to read, reread & explore, and I will forever love @chararii for this brilliant piece of a fic

*Squid Squidward wide awake meme* ALRIGHT, hear me out - I've been saying for a while how much Witcher 3 reminds me of the Brazilian countriside (more specific Minas Gerais). And ever since I had this madlad dream of a Brazilian Witcher except we called them Bruxeiros (the X here is pronounced like "SH" not like the American "X" - its kind of a meme here, kind of a "literal" PT-BR translation, it's complicated), and they fight Brazilian folklore badass stuff like Boitatá (fucking giant fire snake), Iaras (river mermaids) and un-curse women that became Mula Sem Cabeça (literally headless mules running around with fire coming out their necks). These are all some of our most well-known folklore for real, lol (HIGHLY recommend season 1 of Brazilian Netflix show Invisible City if you wanna see more! It's REALLY good!)

ANYWAY. I was in my kitchen making toast at midnight, when it occured to me. I had A VisionTM. Brazilian Witcher battle music would be like. Floral Fury.

For those unfamiliar, this specific Cuphead theme is 200% oldschool Brazilian samba - yeah the "weird straw-against-plastic-lid" sound is an actual instrument, it's called cuíca lol "Nah, but this is too happy and cheerful", you say. Alright, you are correct, maybe it doesn't fit to be a battle theme for the Bruxeiros. HOW ABOUT SEPULTURA, THEN

SEPULTURA, THE BRAZILIAN METAL BAND, who performed this song as soundtrack for the BR movie "Lisbela e o Prisioneiro" (one of my fucking faves btw), and it the theme song for Frederico Evandro, a character who's ruthless hitman ("Matador").

BRO. IMAGINE. The peaceful and colorfully bucolic countryside of Minas Gerais and you are there fighting a Brazilian Werewolf (cause they are different from the European werewolf, we have several types btw), with THAT playing as battle theme.

Another good contender is Break of Reality's rendition of "As Bachianas n5" by Villa-Lobos (guy was a badass proeminend classical music composer who loved to mix in Brazilian folk elements with the classical music sttuff, pissing off a lot of purists in the process lol, good for him)

"As Bachianas n5" is probably Villas' most famous piece, it's originally a GORGEOUS aria, classically sung in Brazilian Portuguese.

SEVERAL people covered this song, including Sandy from sibling duo Sandy & Junior (they were EXTREMELY POPULAR with kids and teens back in the 90s/early 2000s); also people from all around the world covered it. You get it, it's pretty legit and famous AF.

THEN came Break of Reality a few years ago

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE VERSIONS OF THIS SONG. I STAN THIS COVER SO HIGH. I LOVE how it is sweet and emotional, but it brings a totally different, new, raw aspect to it that is so strangely fitting to this song (I can't explain, it just is). I can easily imagine this in the Bruxeiro!AU as battle music, even more cause a lot of the og Witcher 3 OST is full of slavic folk music that doesn't even reflect the Battling of Monsters thing - "...Steel For Humans" is like, a song sung by girls on wedding/harvest festivals, lol.

ON THAT NOTE, I think we could end this crazy ass post by including some of the folk / afro-Brazilian culture as well, which is only fair, and add this one, which I LOVE, "Caxangá / Escravos de Jó" by Milton Nascimento (my beloved <3) and folk singer Clementina de Jesus:

This fucking cafe date is like sitting with the two finalists for the Stepford Smiler competition. Also both of them have this nigh-identical false edge to their voices, like they both would rather be having a glass sundae than be sitting here. I have no idea what the fuck is going on but the vibes are Atrocious.

Anyway, Kasumi thinks that the Thieves are nice in theory but if they become a certainty in society, everyone will get worse because there will be no impetus to improve yourself when there's a phantom safety net.

Which I don't wanna be mean to Kasumi, she seems nice, but she sounds like a Centrist a bit lmao. The Thieves' actions in best case scenario would be propelled by failures in the system that necessitate extra judicial intervention. At the moment, that's not really the case and I think the biggest fault the Thieves have is their interest in fame and success. That in of itself is a very loud recurring drumbeat so I think the game actually intends to contend with that.

I'm developing a theory, and basically it's that Akechi closes his eyes and smiles every time he's Fucking Lying.

You know, Adachi being Fuckt snuck up on me through P4G because at the start it manifested mostly as a hapless ditz who had a really weird mean streak.

Akechi tho. He is a walking alarm bell. I think if I was walking down the street at night and he was coming towards me, I'd walk to the other side. There is something deeply unsettling about him.

Also the joke about shooting Reverie. /sucks on teeth

What I know about Reverie's situation from the framing device and the cold open is that he was doing a heist and then he was betrayed and got captured.

There are still more party members incoming, i think Kiore said 3 or 4 more. However, I can't help but be fairly certain who did it already.

I just don't know why. He already has a quiet simmering hatred of the Thieves that I don't really understand yet. Unless he's working with Sae's boss and is part of this big conspiracy thing to do something.

Otherwise... I can see a situation in which Akechi baits the thieves (maybe baits them into doing that big casino heist) and his ulterior goal is to capture the Thieves? Bc he does seem obsessed with his Performance as the Detective Prince.

I don't know. All I do know is Akechi is the most Stepford Wife guy of all fucking time.

But also he def wants to tap dat ass. That too.

Maruki is actively a terrible therapist, it's kind of amazing. He's so intensely unprofessional all the time, he had a whole convo with Makoto where he kept making judgements on what she was saying instead of directing the session, he inserts himself into the conversation constantly. He's a BAD THERAPIST.

Rebbie's Wrestling Show Reviews - RevPro: Live in Southampton 28 (11/2/2024)

For the first time since I started this whole blog, I went to a live wrestling show! So I thought, why not give a brief review. This was one of RevPro’s weekly shows, and the go-home before High Stakes in Crystal Palace (which I am also attending!!!), so for those unfamiliar with these bigger indies, it's essentially their version of a tv taping. These shows and their big shows are all available on RevPro OnDemand. The company is known for a strong relationship with New Japan Pro Wrestling, being where they send trainees on excursion and in the past frequently seeing major NJPW stars hold the British Heavyweight Title.

Pre-Show

These shows are a breeze for me to reach down at The 1865 in Southampton, and always feature a pretty lairy crowd. It's a music venue, with the stage featuring some chairs with a few more on most sides of the ring. Wrestlers enter through a small walkway in the far corner of the building with a projected screen on the stage. It's an intimate and ever so slightly awkward venue, but I absolutely love it, and it's so easy to attend. Without further ado, let's get into the show, as the ever wonderful Francesca introduced the action.

Robbie X def. Joshua James by pinfall in 11:54

This was a really hot match to start things off. Robbie X is really popular with this RevPro crowd, and he earns it by always putting on a show. He’s facing Mustafa Ali in Crystal Palace, which is sure to be a highlight. On this night though, he was up against Joshua James, one of the Contenders. These are essentially the RevPro own guys. Something I love about RevPro crowds is how much they get behind the Contenders. They’re one of our own! Both men got a great reaction, and this was an awesome big vs small match. Josh James had a great power game on display, and Robbie is an awesome seller, so this went really well. It was never slow, just all action, and maybe my favourite match of the night in the end. Robbie is able to get the win when he hits the Handspring Cutter out of a James pounce, which was a counter of a previous handspring cutter attempt. That was pretty fun! The night is off to a great start!

I feel it pertinent to mention it here as James sported the memorial armband and t-shirt, but this is the first show I’ve seen since Mad Kurt sadly passed away late last year. Mad Kurt was on the first few shows I saw in The 1865, and made an immediate impression. I’d known him from Twitter and had no idea what to expect from his wrestling, and I was charmed by his mixture of silly comedy and serious wrestling acumen. I was heartbroken by the news, and I’m so sorry to all those who knew him for their loss. There were multiple tributes to him throughout, and he is extremely missed. Mad Kurt Forever. “Flash” Morgan Webster def. Will Kaven via pinfall in 10:12

The Modfather, one half of the British Tag Team Champions with Mark Andrews/Dani Luna, takes on Will Kaven of… PORTSMOUTH?! For those unaware, Portsmouth is the next city over from Southampton, so Kaven always gets a strong reaction from us Southampton fans… Portsmouth is actually more local to me originally than Southampton but shhh don't tell anyone!! This is another good match, a pair of guys who can mix high flying with a more grounded game, and we see all sides of that in this one. Webster is highly popular, and Kaven is highly unpopular, and it makes for a fun match. I think the crowd may have been a smidge tired here, but they still had plenty of energy! Webster gets the win with the Shadows Over Malice swanton bomb.

Speaking of loving the Contenders, here’s David Francisco! We love David in RevPro, and the big man from Portugal was just as popular on this night. There was even a great chant I don't think I’d heard before of “Francisco” replacing “You are gold” in Spandau Ballet’s Gold. That’s inspired! His opponent was AEW’s Anthony Ogogo, the former Olympic bronze medallist boxer. For some reason, he still has The Factory’s logo on his jacket despite the group disbanding almost a year ago. This one was all about Ogogo, and he worked well as a heel, jibing back and forth with the crowd who had lots of banter for the “Pound Shop David Haye” as they chanted. He had a pretty good match with Francisco, who was predictably over like rover, and had a few nearfalls that could have been an upset. In the end though, despite showing resilient including a subtle rope break that fooled Ogogo, Francisco was knocked out, with the Union Jack being draped on him by the olympian. Fun if unremarkable match.

Post-match, Ogogo got on the mic, bragging about his big American house, fighting with the crowd (including a passing fan and his middle finger), and most importantly, deriding Ricky Knight Jr. for being “cocky”. However, RKJ was actually here, and he met Ogogo in the ring! They had a war of words, with RKJ again challenging Ogogo for High Stakes. He promises to take all the vision in Ogogo’s damaged eye. Both men invoke the names of each other's families, and it’s when Ogogo says RKJ’s newborn daughter takes after him in being “butters, mate” as he put it that we get a big brawl. The backstage area clears out to seperate them, with great difficulty, but they are eventually split, with Ogogo seemingly going out the wrong door. I say this because during the next match, he quietly trots from there to the entrance way and heads to the back. 

Luke Jacobs def. Yuto Nakashima by pinfall in 12:17

Beef! This is a clash of two big men, and the crowd were excited. We have here the first wrestler on the card that I’ve never seen in any capacity, that being Yuto Nakashima! One half of Young Blood passed me a few times pre-show and he is a big guy! Off the bat, love his vibe! A lot of personality and aura from him, as he enters with a big chain and wild hair. Jacobs also heads to the ring and looks in great shape! These two started a little slow in my opinion, but they ramped up and this one got pretty good by the end! Big strikes, and the highlights were some gnarly headbutts as these two had a colossal tussle. This also saw one of my favourite spots they do at these RevPro shows, as they cleared the chairs in front of me for Yuto to throw Jacobs clattering through them. Jacobs is able to secure the win in the end though, hitting Yuto with a great lariat. I was even further sold on Yuto with his post match sell, as he stumbled wildly all the way to the back, falling into the crowd and ring multiple times. He was also prone to a dance any chance he got the whole show long, and I love him for that.

Intermission

This brought an end to the first half of the show, bringing a short intermission. Ogogo made conversation near the bar and took a few photos with fans, and Sha Samuels & Morgan Webster joined the merch table, taking photos and selling their wares. I was able to meet them both, and bought a shirt and print from Webster, despite some hassle with my card! I forgot to get a photo though, so I’ll have to see them again at another show! Both were lovely and shortly after that, our second half began.

Oskar Leube vs. JJ Gale ended in a no contest in 9:57

We came back with the other half of Young Blood taking on the other half of the High Stakes match between Luke Jacobs and JJ Gale. This match was really fun! This was my first time seeing Leube, and I was extremely impressed with his work. The man walked past me a couple times during the show and he is TALL. He uses that size well in the ring but is really smooth with everything he does. JJ Gale was a great opponent for him too, using his quickness to build a pretty cool match. Sadly, this one ended pretty quickly with a no contest, as Mark Trew & Kieron Lacey attacked both men, even wielding chairs. Yuto returns to help his partner, but he’s overwhelmed by the tag team. In the end, it’s Luke Jacobs who clears the way, wanting Gale at his best for the big show the following week. They end up brawling anyway though, as Young Blood stand off with Trew & Lacey.

Mark Trew & Kieron Lacey def. Harry Milligan & Michael Oku (w/ Amira) by pinfall in 13:42

Trew & Lacey are already in the ring as the following match gets announced, with their opponents meeting them for their match. There’s a big “Mad Kurt” chant to start this one, which was touching. This was a decently fun match, with the champion and his younger ally contesting with the nefarious Trew & Lacey. Trew losing his beanie also elicits a big reaction from this crowd. This one is moving along decently enough, until Trew & Lacey bring Amira into the path of Oku’s shooting star press over the top rope to the outside. Amira’s down, and a distraught Oku carries her to the back for attention… Bit of an odd move to choose for that spot if you ask me, but who am I to judge? But Trew & Lacey capitalised off this numbers advantage to get the win over Milligan. Post-match, Young Blood take their chance to strike as Trew & Lacey continue to beat up Milligan. This brings out Oku, who’s keeping an eye on Young Blood. Leube gets on the mic and demands a tag team match at High Stakes! Exciting stuff.

Cameron Khai def. Richard Holliday by pinfall in 12:59

We were breathing rarefied air next, when Richard Holliday from Connecticut, America came to the ring. He grabbed the mic from Francesca and began to introduce himself. He says he’s familiar with our game as a UK crowd, and said if we want to get ourselves over, we have to make a chant for him. He isn’t pleased with the crowd’s chants of “Dick”, saying he thought we were more original than that, as he finds one fan willing to sing his praises in song form. Sadly, I can’t for the life of me recall what the song is called, so you’ll just have to imagine the tune. It’s here that Holliday’s foe comes out: Cameron Khai! Khai is a really talented young wrestler who I’ve seen a couple times now, and he has had some absolutely great matches. One to watch for the future as he develops further! This is a decent match, but I think it’s pretty heavily overrun by fan chants. They were certainly entertaining though! Chants of “Dick Vacation” anger Holliday, as well as “You’ve got one fan, and he’s shit!” chants. There’s a fun moment as Holliday does some corner strikes, each punctuated by a call of “You’re not shit” directed at his loyal fan. What a heel! Not all of the chants were great though, you can imagine some of the humour derived from Richard’s first name. The chants really did distract from the in-ring action though, which I can’t imagine was desired. The finish comes when Khai is able to roll up Holliday with a small package pin for the win. Holliday sulks in the ring post-match, refusing to leave, which is a thread we’ll come back to shortly.

Seeing Holliday for the first time, I was pretty impressed with his charisma. You can definitely see the comparisons to his former tag partner MJF in his promo skills. He was solid in the ring too, definitely doing his part for the match. Sadly, his promo riling up got out of hand. Excited to see what more he can do though!

Spike Trivet def. Sha Samuels by pinfall in 14:17

Richard Holliday is still in the ring as Francesca announces our main event, which comes with a small video package and everything! How fancy! It’s Sha Samuels intervention that ousts Holliday, with the East End Butcher clearing him from the ring with his entrance. Holliday lingers outside, seeming unhappy with this from Samuels. Trivet is out next, being understandably booed for being Spike Trivet. This grudge match, built from Trivet’s general attitude and attacking Samuels at Uprising, is a decent match! A fun spot is Samuels going to use his scarf, which the referee takes away, but Samuels using this chance to use his braces on Trivet. He gets as good as he gives! There’s some back and forth decent stuff, until Holliday returns to the ring side area. Samuels takes exception to this, as does the referee, which allows Trivet the chance to grab a weapon from the earlier discovered toolbox, and get the win over Samuels.

Post match, Holliday and Trivet argue over beating up Samuels, before they decide to both do it. This brings out Cameron Khai and Flash Morgan Webster to even the odds, with all 5 men brawling all over the place! Right in front of me, Webster and Trivet went flying into the merch section! I couldn’t follow it all! It was a pretty fun ending after a few matches with a little less pizazz. Samuels ends the show on the mic cursing out his enemies.

Post-Show

With our show over, I went over to the merch table once again, this time getting a signed print from JJ Gale, where I had to get his PayPal for payment as I had no cash, as well as meeting Young Blood. The pair of them were lovely, and I actually remembered to get a selfie with them! I also bought a signed print of Yuto, as they only took cash and I only had £5. They better come back to Southampton so I can get a signed print with Oskar!

Final Thoughts

Overall, this was a pretty fun show. I’ve certainly seen bigger barnburners on these Southampton live shows, but this was good fun ahead of High Stakes. There wasn’t too much build to the big show, but look, I had fun. What more do you want from me? I think this show gets a high 3 STARS OUT OF 5 from me!

Unit Teambuilding - Sygna Suit Roxie

Well this was a surprise. I admit, these alts aren't really my speed, but they were much anticipated and well received overall, so it all works out. I got my Roxanne, I'm good for the moment. So with that, this month's introduction is for you, @megazardx2.

General Overview Roxie comes in with stiff competition. Despite its placement as the worst type in the game around 8 months ago (and arguably holding it until about four), Poison has made an unbelievable recovery, sporting some truly excellent sync pairs. Roxie continues the trend. For the first time in a while, Roxie is a Special damage dealing Tech pair. And her DPS moves are...pretty good. Buddy move is AoE and inflicts -2 Sp Def per hit, while Overdrive is a nice 160BP 4-bar Electric move. Roxie's big claim to fame is similar to the Tapu: Double Field Effect. On Max Move, she sets Poison Zone with extension. As a 2MP move, she has Electric Terrain. Fast setup with +4/+3 trainer move is excellent, and she can grid for speed, boosting team speed per field effect activated to alleviate gauge (4/5), and has access to Free Moves Next 50% of the time when attacking a paralyzed foe. Roxie seems to hold up well compared to others in recent times for the Poison type, and has good secondary Electric for people like me who refuse to pull Kantonians and have none of the good Electric pairs.

So okay, why have I ultimately decided I'm not pulling from her? Well, aside from cutting back my spending, reflecting on how I didn't actually like any of the Tapu once I had them and regretting pulling them all, and recognizing that Roxie isn't one of my favorites and I actively dislike Toxtricity...her kit has some problems.

Buddy move condition is "foe has a status." It's broad enough that any status works, but Roxie can only apply status off her Electric Max Move, which removes Max Ooze as an option without support, and it's not guaranteed which status she rolls between Poison or Paralysis, so she's inconsistent as a partner for others who need one or the other, and like Emma, bad at Gauntlet due to status resetting between phases so often. Roxie's Tech nuke also feels underwhelming, with only a 90% bonus on grid, compared to Ariana's 200% with the same Role combo. Her debuffs, while nice for her and like two other contenders, ultimately does not support the big names in the Poison meta, instead just muscling H!Iris further out of a job by being better than her. Electric Terrain summoning is nice, but unless you have the speed to manage her 4-bar move and whoever else is attacking, it's not as clean as SST Red or SS Hau, who were fairly common pulls. And of course, there's a lopsidedness to her buffs, with Buddy move and sync being Poison but requiring Electric Terrain for full power, and her multiplier on Electric damage requiring Poison Zone. Roxie's kit is good, but kinda messy, and takes consideration to make the most of it. I'm not personally concerned about her performance overall, but in an effort to make better life choices, I don't see what she does as strictly essential.

EX, Role, and Move Level? Roxie's EX is nice because Tech nuke, without it her sync is rather middling. Role is Strike. If you're going to EX, role is well worth consideration. That said, Move Level can be 1/5, and EX is not necessary. All of the really nice supportive stuff is available 1/5 in her natural kit. You get your field effects and the debuffs and the status Max Move all right there. Investment is optional, depending on whether she's your frontliner or your backup.

Team 1: SS Roxie, H!Iris, BP Janine "Hey, but you said-" Iris' multipliers are all based on Sp Def debuffing that she's shit at, and now she has a Poison partner who can do it in three turns for her while dishing out fantastic AoE damage. Roxie's entire problem on Poison Zone is one application on Max Move, but Iris can call it back when it starts to run out just fine. As specially offensive pairs, they're able to utilize a bare minimum of support, and thus enters BP Janine, whose Sp Atk boosting comes with Spd and evasion, which is just delightful for them.

Team 2: SS Roxie, Oleana, Skyla While Roxie does not offer a ton to her Poison type allies because of mismatch, Oleana offers a hell of a lot to her thanks to a consistent Max Move that applies Toxic and Rebuff at the same time. Roxie loves this. It lets her get right to attacking, with no questions around what status is applied. Skyla is here because she buffs speed, which is all this team really needs. Roxie is able to use her Max Ooze to cap Sp Atk, so there's no need for any offensive support.

Team 3: SS Roxie, C!Elesa, SC Jasmine/NC Blue The other angle is letting Classic Elesa spread paralysis and debuffs for Roxie. The spread Paralysis is really the big component, as Roxie has access to Free Moves Next application on paralyzed foes, which really eases her Electric-type damage. I don't necessarily encourage C!Elesa as an electric partner, but she can do damage if supported by someone with Sp Atk/crit competence.

Team 4: SS Roxie, Drasna/Plumeria, BP Janine/SC Jasmine I'm bringing in general pool stuff for Roxie at 1/5, because I am still tempted to take dailies for utility. Drasna is worth noting, despite being secondary DPS, because she's so strong on-type. The inclusion of direct Toxic in her kit also frees up some of Roxie's needs on Buddy move. Plumeria is the other worth noting. Both of their spread damage receives AoE penalty, but if they can quickly remove sides, that all compresses on center. BP Janine is an option as always, her Team Sharp Entry is great for Drasna, while Plumeria still needs ungodly amounts of help because no expansion.

Final Thoughts I think SS Roxie is set to be good, but not a must-pull for anyone with recent Poison and Electric pairs. Oleana feels outright better to me, while Emma has comparable conditions to the buddy move, but emphasizes single-target damage that is obscene over the spread debuff utility. I like Ariana less despite her having a higher sync nuke. I think Roxie is neat, I just think her kit is a little wonky, and I have a tough time justifying it given my current roster. But watch, something in Poison High Score will have a Crobat weak to Electric and then I'll see. Maybe I can daily discount her...

Syd!!!!!! Ohhhh my gooodddd I’ve been playing BG3 for the last week and I’m in loveeeee!!! I’ve spent 32 hours in act one alone (still playing through it, I’m going over everything with a micro vacuum as to not miss anything) and I still don’t know who I’m going to end up romancing, so far Astarion and Shadowheart are the contenders but I love the walking tragedy that is Gale… I was devastated to learn that we can’t be in a throuple with Shadowheart and Astarion, but alas the baby girl wants me all to herself!!!

Who did you end up romancing and why?!?! I’m so curious to hear who all of my friends ended up with, so far they’ve all been so different!

YESSS same!!! it's totally taken over my brain and i've become sooo normal about like. all the characters. i've been looking at the charts about who will allow you to have relationships with other characters because i want to eventually kiss them all i'm just choosing in what order. it sucks that the origin characters won't let you be in relationships with other origin characters, Shadowheart and Astarion would be perfect for an edgy throuple. you'll have to tell me who you choose!!!

My first romance was Gale by pure accident. I thought he was a fun sidekick and then when i got deeper into his story i just liked him more and more, i loved Astarion but since my first Tav made good choices he is not a fan of her lol. Gale was easy to fall for after having him in my party for so long, he's so sweet and caring i just want him to hold me. his voice actor is def a huge part of why i love him so much. the fact that he's just a walking tragedy definitely added to how much i enjoy him, like babygirl stay with me i can fix you <3 My second character is making all the evil fucked up choices and she's def gonna romance Astarion. Her name is Ratt and she sucks and i want them to be fucked up together. I want to get to Halsin too because ohhhh my god he's so big and large <3 the voice actors went insanely hard and i want to hear every dialogue option with all of them. larian killed it with these characters i can't decide which one i want more.

Honestly it's wild that something that's on paper an INSANELY good NP is only "pretty good" after getting a massive NP Gain support effect added.

As I've said before Case Files is somewhere I don't even go, but I ended up giving Reines a contender for the most insane rank up I've ever made. Hades and Mentlegen, we're going to make Damage Plus finally actually useful for something.

I. favourite colours: Pink, in most varieties. I like bright colors most often, esp paired with black. But I think pink is one of the colors were I'm not picky on shade or w/e so I'd say it's a contender for favorite.

II. favourite flavours: I'm a sucker for most anything sweet but I love chocolate & peanut butter together.

III. favourite genres: Fantasy or sci fi. Most of the books or series I get into fall into either category. I like media that imagines other worlds or even other variants of our world like modern fantasy or speculative fiction.

IV. favourite music: I have a lot of variety in my music playlists, like anything from broadway to metal. Most of the artists I listen to are somewhere in the rock genre, lots of indie, alternative or hard rock/metal. But I also like some pop, I've been listening to a lot of indie/alt pop recently.

V. favourite movies: Admittedly, I don't watch a lot of movies. But favorites or ones I've seen several times would probs be Repo! The Genetic Opera, Captain America 2, or Spirited Away.

VI. favourite series: TV series? Criminal Minds. Anime series, probs D Gray Man, Cowboy Bebop, or Yu Yu Hakusho.

A new pwp Louis/omc is Bet On It by nouies— the omc is Louis’ boyfriend who’s also concert security and it’s 🔥. There’s an ongoing poly series, For My Lovers, with Louis/Harry/omc by kikiberoski16 that’s good; the omc is a strong character and not just an afterthought. And there’s a couple Greg James ones I really like: Always Keep You Next To Me by lululawrence and Getting A Head For Heights by LadyAJ_13. (Sorry this is so self-indulgently long 😞). I’d love to hear your recommendations!

I did start the Bet On It series a while back and looooooved it (it was so timely!) but I forgot to check for new chapters... I will do so! Love their Louis/footballer series too (which seems to be completed now :/) I will def check out the holiday smut - 'tis the season after all!

If you also want something on that theme, Smile Again by mistresscurvy is a lilo fake relationship that takes place during Christmas and it's really cute! Love The New Posh and Becks by that author too (love a good football au!)

The 2 fics that I re-read all the time are Let's Break the Internet, some excellent OMC smut... very unfortunately it's an orphan account so I have no idea who wrote it and can't tell them how I adoooore this one. The other one is To reach a port we must set sail by thedeathchamber.... Henry Cavill and Italy... what else???

I've probably mentioned those in my previous fic recs but A Tear in the Sky by zanni_scaramouche which is a story about a cult, omegaverse, Niall's POV and not smut/love story.

I have opened and bookmarked SO many fics that I have then abandonned because honestly there's SO much. At some point I was reading only stuff under 10K. Recently I switched to IWTV fics, they have some excellent authors too and I feel slightly less weird reading fanfic based on a work of fiction. But I'm always grateful for some good recs :)
