I wanted some portraits to use for future character sheets and documents, and even though making a series of portraits like these always makes me go through the 5 stages of grief every single time, I'm glad I finished them and they came out pretty good!

They will be used in character sheets like these, where I catalogue the characters' details and story though the writing process

Trying to enter that August obedience trial before I lose my two seconds of motivation and wow clubs still make it difficult to enter these trials in the year of our lord 2023 🙃

Also I really wish they would actually publish the class order and not punt it off like “we’ll decide after the entries close” because these trials have been happening for a millenia and knowing how the Old Guard feels about change in obedience, I guarantee the class order has not changed once.

I'm still at my childhood home, spending New Year's with my parents and not really celebrating. Am very lucky that my parents just let me chill/do my own things while they celebrate. They don't really celebrate much, though, so it's a pretty normal night.

I'll probably head to bed early and hope for a good night's sleep since am heading back home/to my place tomorrow. Which I'm not exited about since the living/sleeping situation there is not great and I'm kind of dreading it but I know it is temporary and I will find a new place and it will get better. It's just hard to be going through it and it's crap how much it affected my mood during this year's festivities. I'm just kind of sad most of the time at the moment.

On a happier note, I went to my favourite forest this morning and it was so very beautiful. And so very cold at -13 degrees Celsius. And it is going to get even colder towards the end of next week!
