Also the (perceived) popular demand for algorithms in literally everything online is so insidious to me? honestly i truly cant understand why so many ppl are surprised about variations of coquette (mystic, classic, bubblegum, etc) and how can they all be the same subculture, as if thats weird or an exeption when its usually the norm. like, just to compare it to similar subcultures, for example lolita or gyaru, have multiple very different sub styles that fit into the the subculture itself; in gyaru for example you have himegyaru, kogal or rokku gyaru, and for lolita you have deco lolita, classic, sailor or gothic juts to name a few
