@antvnger: I know Ant Mun for a while now. Met them sometime at the start of this year I guess and even if we haven't interacted much lately and stuff I'm still going through his page almost everyday to see what he has been up to. The mun is one of the sweetest persons I ever met and is so amazing in potraying Scott (who I just live as much as I love Ant Mun).

@spideymn: Probably the one I know the longest here on tumblr. I met her somewhen at the end of last year and we wrote together like every day before I went on a longer tumblr break. I was so sad and heartbroken when I couldn't find her on tumblr anymore not knowing that we have been writing together the whole time not knowing that it was us. Guess the moment we realized it, was one of my absolut favorite moments here on tumblr. She's such a sweet and honest person and she was one of the first who let me feel comfortable for being myself and to reach out to her for whatever reason. And tbh she's also one of the persons why I decided to come back here in the first place.

@silently-judgingyou: Another one I know longer here. While the two of us haven't talked as much as I did with Spidey Mun I still enjoyed our conversation and our rps. They're always so wholesome and I love to see the interactions between MJ and Morgan and how both of them started to build a sisterly bond. I also love the thread we started with Katya and MJ. We haven't done much yet but it's so funny to see the two girls who don't want to talk to anyone and want to be left alone get to know eachother. The mun is also such a sweet and nice person and I'm so happy to have her around.

@remarkableheroes: My dear and beloved Bucky! The moment I saw your OC Anya I instantly fell in love and thought OMG! Wanna write with them! You have no idea how scared I was to reach out and how happy I was when you said yes. And now look at us! In all these years you have been the first Oc mun where I felt comfortable to try it again. I love everything about you and Anya but also your other muses. I was really suprised and happy to see how SPN is kinda making a return. and this Mun plays Adam so well and I can't wait to see how they will play Michael at one point.

@azuresrp: Guess what? Yep this beautiful person here was also one of my old friends who I found here on tumblr before my break… Or more like who found me. They're so sweet and amazing and have such a great character. I love Ryan, I love his story and I love the mun and our interactions. Most of all I love our ooc talk and plotting. It's just so much fun to talk with them about our characters or about whatever else we are talking about. And it's so funny everytime we haven't spoken for a while both of us can be sure the next message will start with a "Sorry it took so long… life happened."

I literaly know not a single person who has Bruce as one of their favorites and I was so happy when I saw her love for Bruce! And I also love the fact that she shipped her Oc not with a major character like Steve, Tony or Thor like everyone else always does… No she chose Kurt Goreshter. Episode 1 (Third Wheel)

Introduction to the main character Darius and his goals, problems, family and friends. One of the problems is that his best friend Alador and Odalia start ignoring him and excluding him. Raine wants to find a solution by searching for new friends. They end up taking part in a school play where they soon meet their new friends.

Episode 2 (School Play)

So Darius and Raine participate in the school play, but while Darius keeps complaining about the script, Raine has to fight their stage fright as Eda has become ill and cannot comfort them during the school play. Nonetheless, they have to team up with the two new students Adrian and Hettie. Hettie seems really open to making new friends, but Adrian is very skeptical about the two as he has a passion for acting, he would be very mad if someone screwed up his performance...

Episode 3 (School Trip)

Days later, Darius bumps into Adrian and Hettie again during a school trip. They decide to go for a walk and talk about recent events when they come across a cave that Hettie wants to check out. Even though it's dangerous, they go inside and explore. In the cave, they noticed an egg all alone with no parents nearby. They ignore it and don’t think much about it, but when they found out that this was a Slitherbeast's cave, they just want out as quick as possible. Darius didn't want the egg to get eaten, so he tries to save it, which leads to Adrian and Hettie getting captured by the beast. Meanwhile, Raine and Eda are just talking when Eda mentions a witch who also goes to potions class.

Episode ? (Top Student)

Darius wants to be the best in the abomination class, but that's not so easy when you have a rival in class. His new friends help him train for an upcoming test and become the top student.

Episode ? (Grudgby Match)

Arguing over who should keep the egg, they decide to make it a challenge. Whichever team wins can decide who takes care of it.

Episode ? (Research)

Searching in the library for infos about Eber, they can't seem to get any clues as to what the egg might be. As the six split up to find more information, Vitimir finds a mysterious man who may knows something about what they are looking for.

Darius introduces a special person to the his five friends, the Golden Guard. Maybe he knows more about this topic, but even someone as almighty as she is needs help sometimes.

When Adrian got sent to the Helping Enhance Coven Knowhow he wants to prove he’s way better than everyone else. But as an illusionist and with his old bullies following him, it’s hard to get that attention.

Episode ? (Vitimir’s Past)

Curious as to why Vitimir always speaks badly of himself and never talks about his family they meet Vitimir's sister. As she tells the kids the tragic story of the past, it begins to make sense.

Episode ? (Disguise)

Vitimir wants to spend time with his sister, but his adoptive parents don't even allow him to be near her. Adrian disguises himself as Vitimir so he can enjoy the days with his sister without fearing that his parents are looking for him.

Episode ? (Flyer Derby)

Mason want his parents to see that he’s also good at something like his cousin Harvey but nothing seems to work. His friends suggest to participate in a Flyer Derby tournament. What he doesn't know is that his cousin is also participating and is many steps ahead of him.

Episode ? (Backstory)

Terra tells Adrian about her school days while Osran also tells Vitimir about his school days. It seems that the two stories have a connection.

Episode ? (Cure)

Hettie is desperate to find a cure for Vitimir’s disease. As they work together, they grow closer and gain trust.

Episode ? (Season 1 Finale)

Some demon hunters mistake Eber for a demon egg and the kids have to get it back somehow. (At the end of the episode Eber hatches)

There's a Halloween sleepover in Hexside, but those who venture out in the hallways at night must face Hexside's spooky guards.

When Eda goes missing for days Raine asking everyone to help find her. Together they explore the boiling isles to search for Eda.

As Hunter goes through his daily routine, she finds a door he has never seen before. It leads her under the castle, but what and who he finds there is the last thing she wants to see.

so, about that italian karamazov thing. I finished all my exams today while in hysterics (unrelated to the mentioned above though. sadly.) and to chill tonight I decided to look for the full series on yt to watch - and i found it! around 20mins in and its making me insane again.

a few insights tumblr peeps might find interesting about it:

it's from 1969 (funny number always funny) and yes all in b/w. seeing the old rai logo is a trip

haven't properly looked it up, but it had to be a decent high value production, just the costumes and the settings are stunning, and some of the actors are quite known names

I'm a bit on the fence about a couple of adaptation choices they've made, ex. it does obviously skip the family history chapters, but it doesn't start with the meeting with father zosima but some time before - so we get to see the brothers interact a bit more AND Dmitrij meeting Grusha for the first time (this is actually the very second scene in the first episode. you can pause the screen and see the exact moment Grusha decides she's gonna ruin his life), but it also has Fëdor Pavlovič as the one to suggest to see Father Zosima (although while drunk, although obviously mocking Alyosha's faith) and this is not a change I think works well with the themes of the novel - but we'll see how they handled the actual meeting.

smerdyakov helps ivan get dressed to go to a soirée and they have an homoerotic very very long moment. smerdyakov also says he thinks dmitrij is hot. haven't yet processed the information.

ivan is talking to katya at the soirée when dmitrij enters the room, lise is also at the soirée and asks him why he didn't also bring alyosha. to which dmitrij answers saying "lo sai che mio fratello batte altre strade" which means roughly that she should know alyoshas not interested in mundanity but also "battere le strade" can also mean whoring oneself out and I'm in stitches. I don't think it was an intentional joke btw.

worth mentioning is also I think the actor who plays alyosha looks like young Italian mark hamill

I watched Goncharov 2 so you wouldn't have to

I love seeing Goncharov have this weird renaissance on tumblr. It’s like when we all decided to get collectively obsessed with Dracula and the Epic of Gilgamesh. but did you know there's a sequel??

granted it's pretty obscure, like Eighties Bulgarian Treasure Planet levels of obscure, but you can actually watch the whole thing on YouTube for free. I can't even find the original poster, just this shitty DVD cover from Amazon:

FUN FACTS ABOUT GONCHAROV 2

released in 1985, long after anybody would've given a shit about the original

features none of the original cast (except, weirdly enough, the guy playing Andrey's driver, despite Andrey himself being absent)

SOMEHOW passes the Bechdel test

was apparently produced by Benito Mussolini's kid???

the movie starts with a weird, pointless nightclub scene with a ton of characters who get shot dead and are never seen again. it went on for so long I genuinely started thinking this was a Troll 2 situation, where somebody slapped completely unrelated movie's name on this for free clout; but no, this is actually supposed to be a sequel! the plot is that Goncharov's brother, who is also called Goncharov, just wants to sell flowers in Milan but his uncle Vladimir Espinoza (lmao) finds him and drags him off to fight a Galician crime lord named Iago for reasons that aren't clearly explained (and shamelessly rip off the Rocky training montage while they're at it). His Designated Love Interest™ is “Marina”, (imagine a Costco knockoff of Sofia with way more cleavage), whose job is to get kidnapped a lot. She sadly doesn’t get any sapphic undertones aside from a couple weirdly horny scenes with a nameless assassin masseuse who is inexplicably called “the Algerian” despite being portrayed by a Japanese actress (yikes).

The dialogue is so truly awful I strongly suspect English was not the writer's first language. At one point Uncle Vladimir tells his nephew to “gouge out their livers like a beak of the mad kestrel”. I'm 100% certain the guy playing him was hired for his weird resemblance to Al Pacino and not any acting talent; he delivers every line like there's a gun to his head but he also swallowed 30 Ambien. Iago is supposedly Spanish(?) but played by one of the whitest guys I've ever seen (Xander Crane, who has an objectively cooler name than his actual character — dude sounds like a Bond villain). He does a godawful fake accent and keeps accenting the wrong syllables. The part where he screams GON-CHAAAAAA-ROV!! has to be seen to be believed. The mangled English also makes the torture scene unintentionally hilarious, especially when Iago asks “Are you trying to f**k me?” and creates 20x more gay vibes than every Andrey/Goncharov scene combined.

some moments (ex. not-Sofia and Uncle Vlad keep mentioning Katya, but they talk about her like she was this Goncharov's lover) makes me wonder if they started the screenplay before watching Goncharov 1 all the way through, and it was supposed to be about OG Goncharov but they had to quickly rewrite it to be his brother instead. I really hope that's true cuz it would be hilarious and explain why they made a sequel to a movie where most of the characters die at the end.

Aside from (holy shit) Val Kilmer as one of Iago's bodyguards, no one involved with this film has worked on anything else you've ever heard of. The writer isn't even listed on IMDb, and Giuseppe Stromboli's entire filmography consists of this, a kids' cartoon called Spaghetti Briefcase and a bunch of weird Italian chewing gum commercials (which are also on YouTube btw). Matteo JWHJ pops up in the credits as a producer so I can only assume he was desperate for cash.

so yeah. Goncharov 2 is objectively terrible and problematic and lacking in gay vibes or juicy Goncharov lore, but if you want something to get drunk and laugh at with your friends it's got you covered

Y'all I just watched Goncharov cause I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and I gotta say, I loved it. I'm sad it took me so long to watch. Every aspect was incredibly done from the symbolism (which btw no one talks about the apple symbolism nearly enough they can mean so many things imo) to the complex romance. I usually don't care much for romance but this movie really hooked me. It's done so beautifully and it's actually believable and not forced. Goncharov's relationship with Andrey is so brave especially for the time and I was torn between Andrey and Katya. Although overall I think my favorite character was Katya, Her story arc was incredibly interesting and the twist with Sofia was mind-blowing. The ending had me in tears, it was a fitting end to an incredible movie and I'm holding out hope for Goncharov II.

All in all a great movie that I recommend you watch, you have to go digging to find it since it's censored quite heavily. I did find a link after a bit but the link is broken so you'll have to find it yourself, but trust me, it's worth it.

so!! to explain dasha's, i gotta explain this au a bit before i dive into it.

even though a lot is similiar to mm in this au, the incubators dont work alone. they work with the facility!:3 the facility studies how much despair a witch can produce, how much despair a magical girl can endure, how strong a magical girl can be, what the limits are of what you can and can't wish for (even though the incubators say 'anything', the facility isnt That trusting of them. for obvious reasons, such as, incubators withhold so much information. and then use the excuse that you just didn't ask. so !! though they work together, they don't rlly, trust them 100%.), etc !! temnova is the leading head of this experiment. soo . as you might suspect from 'like a dog', and all the "how old is temnova?" "wouldnt you like to know:)" things, temnovas a mutant in canon - most likely anyways lol. so, in this au, shes a magical girl, too:) she doesnt fight witches tho, just studies them. she herself was very fascinated with kyubey and the concept of magical girls, so, she wished (like 50 years ago btw) for something along the lines of "i want to be alive as long as my soul gem is intact" . she has a higher resistance to despair, and, she ages Very slowly! kyubey approached her when she was like 15, and during these 50 years shes aged like, less than a decade. when she got into her twenties she demanded kyubey stop aging her, for if he keeps doing that, she will become Old and Fragile in no time. so. she ages slowly! and all that shit. or something.

the facility also like. it doesnt kidnap magical girls. not rlly ❤️tries to contain the witches though (with varying degrees of success)

now. about dasha. my girl dasha !!! shes been a magical since she was like, a child, seven years old or smth. temnova was always curious about what would happen if a magical girl made her wish at a young age - how long she could go until she turned into a witch, how much power her wish could hold, how her despair would look n such... dasha most likely isn't her first 'experiment' like this. dasha didn't make her own wish. temnova told her to wish "I want to be able to locate other magical girls", so she did. when dasha grows older, she starts recruiting magical girls. as in, once shes old enough, convincing enough, she starts finding MMs and telling them "Hi i have a group of magical girl friends back at home. do you wanna fight with us" . and youre lying. youre fucking lying if you say that any magical girl wouldnt go "what the hell this is a child. what the hell. why is she fighting witches. what the fuck kyubey" and follow her, to the facility. the scientists ask her questions, "what did you wish for?" "how long have you been a magical girl?" "what's your weapon?" "can you fight a witch for us?" "can you describe some of the witches you've fought?" nothing too drastic - can't have her telling the other magical girls about them - all under the guise of being dashas family, studying magical girls, keeping statistics, just curiousity. but magical girls arent stupid. some Would try to trust them. maybe temnova does these interviews, since shes a magical girl herself. or Something i dont have this that developed. im making some of this up as i go lol

when shes around 15, temnova takes her aside one day and says "hey. i love you like a daughte.r ok. thats why i'm going to tell you this. because i trust you can handle it. its a disgrace! im amazed at the boards lack of scientific taste, they just dont understand youre too precious to witch out! shame. yeah they think youre a loser and they wanna turn you into a witch, study that form and all." bc . shes put far too much work into dasha to lose her at 15!

also, if you're wondering, "how did she survive without turning into a witch for eight years??" wellll theres this thing called bottling up your feelings so hard you dont even know they're there. hope this helps. she distances herself from literally everything.

katya!! katya lives with nadya in this au. (under the theory that nikita and nadya are her parents, which is, practically canon to me - nikita still bailed) her twin sister, which she has in the canon human au that ferry sometimes talks about, doesnt exist. why? ❤️because. im silly like that.

one day she meets yulya (fem!yura :3 get GIRLED), and the two become friends! sorta. katya hears yulya being self depricating n shit and decides "ok thats gonna be my big sister figure now:)" mm. about yulya. to explain things a bit: stalkers still exist in this. theyre not as illegal, but theyre not really legal either ! no law about them. they work for the facility - non magical girls that venture into witch's labyrinth, retrieving curses, scouting the labyrinth out, taking back 'artifacts', etc etc... yulya wants to be one ! for funsies, maybe. idk. she knows about magical girls because of sergei (unsure if ill girl him or not) !! she still tutors sanya, and, bc of sergeis stalker profession, shes heard a bit about labyrinths and such. thinks it could be interesting. or whatever. who knwos ... so !! she wants to be a stalker. katya doesnt know magical girls exist, theyre like, cryptids to her still. like the tooth fairy.

one day, the duo (maybe trio .. sanyas there, maybe), one way or another, they get stuck in a witchs labyrinth. they get cornered by curses, or the witch herself. no magical girl in sight. kyubey appears, explains the deal (not rlly, though. mostly "make a wish!! and youll be ok!!") and . yulya . she cannot bring herself to do it. she knows that the magical girls turn into witches, always eventually, from sergei. and she cant bring herself to do it. she loves katya like a sister, she doesnt want her to seal the contract either - but, she cant. do it. she freezes. katya doesnt know who the witches rlly are, though. so. in a fit of panic and desperation, she wishes something along the lines of "i just want my friends and i to be happy!!" or something. n. to her, this is magic! she gets a magical girl transformation! she gets a cute outfit, she gets a way to protect yulya!! she survives!! shes happy!! but to yulya. this is fucked up messed up shit and fuck. katya has already died, to her. "it was always going to end this way, shes been dead since the beginning" n shit. so she cant fucking. bear to be happy. but she cant tell katya the truth either!! shed witch out!! so shes. stuck. katya too.

katyas weapons are balloons that she can make, like animal balloons, that explode! so. she makes a silly dog balloon and throws it at the witch! and thats how she deals damage:) maybe shes got juggling balls idk !

mm. also, about that witching out...

she doesnt rlly make it out the story in one piece lol. she learns the truth about magical girls one day. and ummm . she cant really handle it. she doesnt explode right away. tries to be positive, like, "oh i can. do htis. i can handle this" . she tries . but she fails . she cant bear to fight a witch again. and succumbs

neleppy p'yerro is her witch name. the laughable witch. pathetic. tries to keep her audience, people in her labyrinth, happy, joyful. isnt outright violent, but. shes still a witch. she doesnt mean to harm you. she only wants to make you happy, to prevent you from reaching the fate that she did. doesnt want you to be sad, succumb and witch out. but she doesnt know how.

I just feel terrible for Sara, I know she doesn’t think her and Rip owe anything to each other, and they don’t, but after all the trouble she went through to get him back and never gave up on him, him giving up on *them* has got to sting. (Feelings are not rational)

And abandonment/loss is kind of a theme with their dynamic, both voluntary or not, but it really builds up (if you wonder why she was giving him trouble about the time scatter it wasn’t really about that, it was all the pent up issues). Just if you think about all the times he left it kind of breaks my heart.

It started with 1x06, when he threatens to abandon her in the future, of course, he doesn’t, but that’s like the first seed of abandonment issues.

Next time he accidentally stranded her for two years in 1x09, not his fault, but she didn’t know that, and resentment builds up, even if it wasn’t his fault you can’t just erase 2 years of memories where she felt left behind.

Then of course we have that time he tricked them all in 1x16 while he intended to fly himself into the sun. Short episode but still kinda traumatic for all parties.

Next comes the blasted time scatter (necessary measure, perhaps, but implemented unilaterally without consulting anyone which, again, stung and felt like lack of trust) and having to survive in an extra misogynistic period didn’t help smooth things over.

So she is picked up from that darned time period and probably readies to tear Rip a new one for this, only to find out the bastard got himself disappeared (humorous turn of phrase, not my own assessment) that’s another case of abandonment on top of that.

Then come all the months of not knowing if he’s dead or alive or if they will ever seen him again and having to continue in his place. And then, oh miracle, it appears he literally falls into their lap, except he’s not actually him but someone entirely different. For months they thought ‘if only we find Rip all our problems will be solved’, but nope. And thinking she had him back for a second was like losing him all over again. Before literally losing him to the legion.

Not gonna list all the terrible things that happened while he was brainwashed because that’s the part Sara has 100% forgiven about because it wasn’t his fault, but that experience was still pretty traumatic, made harder by the fact that everyone else seemed to have given up on him, including himself. And just imagine those terrible few seconds she was walking up to him lying on the battlefield not knowing if he was dead or alive, thinking she lost him despite everything. (That’s not even the first time he tried to leave her by dying, and not the last)

And now she actually had to watch him die, after being separated for a year, and after everything was finally over, they could relax, there he goes again. Leaving. 100% voluntary this time. Girl gotta get abandonment issues with him. It’s like she always meant to either lose him or be left by him.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he comes back in s3 and Sara is like: new phone who dis. She kinda loves him but a bit of cold shoulder may not be unexpected. My heart breaks for all the parties involved.
