these are base PSDs which each include two adjustment layers for color correcting scenes with various oversaturated colored lighting. the gifs above have additionally been brightened and sharpened.

you will still need to play around with all the adjustments to make your gifs look perfect! these are just meant to get you started:) please send me an ask if you have any questions. if you use these psds and choose to give credit (thank you!) please add a link to this post!

Instructions for use:

1. Save the PSD files to your computer

2. Open your gif in photoshop. In a separate tab open the PSD file

3. CTRL + click or right click on the adjustment layers folder (titled: group 1) in the “layers” box. Click duplicate folder, and choose your gif as the destination for the duplicate.

4. Finish editing your gif and save!

it’s from the quote where stede’s wife mary is like “all we have is this one life, we have to try” and then later stede writes in his goodbye letter “you’re quite right. we only have this one life” and i know it’s soooo cheesy and basically glorified YOLO but i was in such a rotten place last year of just having decided to quit my dream career and figure out what i really want and so sad about it and. this show was so damn hopeful about finding dreams when you’re older? i really needed that!

the flowers are edelweiss, they mean devotion and endurance and adventure because they grow in hard to reach places so if you want one you’d have to really fuckin want it. also in episode one the song high on a rocky ledge plays and the lyrics sing about edelweiss!

and the anchor is trusting you’ll get to the place you want? idk i was going for a combination of wanting to be brave and wanting to find home and wanting to find purpose it’s a VERY earnest tattoo but it was exactly what i needed at that time

Inspiration Saturday

do I want to end my royal fic? yes. was i inspired for a little more in the tuck fwb and buddie endgame fic? yes. how i see Buck here. so you can see why Eddie is jealous

Buck feels Eddie’s eyes staying on him all the time he laughs with Tommy. 

When an older man offers to go get them something to drink, he carefully walks to his best friend, seeing how the gaze of brown eyes gets darker because of his pretty clear limping. 

“I thought you wanted to bring Marisol today? What changed?” Buck sits near his best friend and closes his eyes for a few seconds from the too-fast contact of his ass and the chair.

When he opens them again he sees how Eddie holds his beer bottle so tight that his knuckles are white.

“Yeah, it would be strange to bring the woman with whom you break up, because it wasn’t working,” Eddie says only this, with his eyes continuing to watch how Tommy laughs with Bobby near the grill, making them cocktails.

“You said everything was good with her?” Buck asks sheepishly.

He feels stupid and like he is missing something, but Eddie refuses to elaborate. 

Just two days ago Eddie was almost singing how good he felt with Marisol and how he would bring her to the barbecue today. And now they have broken up.

“It was. It was a pretty friendly breakup. As friendly as it can be when a woman you asked to get official told you it would not work between two of you,” Eddie takes a sip of the beer, finally looking at him. Or better say on his neck.

“Looks like your night was way better than mine. What happened with “it is just two men playing basketball, nothing more”?” Eddie almost mocks him, throwing his words he said to the team when they were teasing him about Tommy.

Buck feels like he is scolded for something he did wrong, but he can’t understand what. He is an adult who has the right to date or sleep with anyone he wants.

“It was just a game,” Buck says and Eddie makes a face he always had when Buck dated Taylor and Natalia. 

It makes Buck’s blood boil. So his next words are way more harsh.

“But then the hot man asked me if I wanted to sleep with him and I said yes, because why not?”

“So you date him now? And what about the words for looking for someone special after Natalia said goodbye? About not rushing anything new?”

Eddie’s words almost accusing him in the crime he never knew he did and Buck wants to fight back.

“I’m not rushing. Tommy and I friends who fucked once. Big deal,” Buck rolls his eyes. “I needed sex and I had sex with a hot man who doesn’t want something more from me. And I am still waiting for this special someone, or I was, I’m trying to stop waiting for them, because I doubt there will ever be a chance for me. Yesterday I was sure that I would never have a chance again when I went to play with Tommy. So I decided to have fun.”

Fyi I'm responding to @icecreampotluck 's reply on one of my posts and I didn't want to hide my response in the comments.

I sort of get that, and you can be mad at that all you want, but that's not the reason. Also that's not what I asked. See the main word I used in my post was "SUDDENLY"

"Why are people "SUDDENLY" getting upset"

If this was a problem people actually cared about, we would've seen it way sooner. Just look at how people have reacted to how the show's dealt with certain LGBT+ themes;

Some of the ways Athena was treating/acting towards Michael in season one, having Hen cheat on her wife with her ex, Josh becoming a freaking statistic when he tried a dating app and got assaulted

People were rightfully upset and vocal about it. And if that's not enough for you, what about the whole "forcing people to forgive their toxic parents" thing going on throughout the entire show?

Athena and her mother, Hen and her mother, Buck and his parents, Eddie and his parents, Chimney and his dad

When this stuff happened people were and still are very vocal and upset about redeeming shitty parents because the story said so. Hell, when the show first told us how shitty Buck and Maddie's parents were to Buck, people immediately went; "Fuck Margaret and Philip! Bobby and Athena are Buck's parents now!" And no one had a problem with that

If people really had a problem with Athena being considered Buck's mother because of racial portrayals they would've said so as far back as season 2 when Maddie got kidnapped and Athena had to keep an eye on Buck to make sure he didn't do anything stupid, arguably one of the first times she could be seen in a motherly light for him, and those people could have continued to be upset about it throughout the show whenever they had moments like that. But they didn't.

My question was, why is it now that the show's about to come back in, at the time of the original post it was a little under 2 weeks, were people deciding to get upset?

All that time, all those scenes, all those seasons, and not one person brought it up with it possibly being a problem. It's only now that the show's about to come back that it's suddenly an issue?

I call bullshit

Bonus:

Athena is never shown to be "eager and excited" to take care of Buck like a "mammy". She's always been shown as at least mildly annoyed but caring towards him

The closest I could possibly think of her acting like that is when she and Bobby have Buck over for dinner while he's off duty and trying to find a way back to work right before the lawsuit. Bobby comes clean about him being the reason Buck's not working and Athena is happily offering more food. But that's not being eager and excited, that's her knowing a storm is brewing and trying to deescalate the situation

That was at the beginning of season 3. We're about to start season 7.

So I'll ask again:

"Why are people SUDDENLY getting upset about Athena being considered Buck's mother?"

And I'll say this again:

"People just find reasons to be upset these days"

"Goodnight, baby, I'll see you Saturday, okay?" Eddie kisses the top of Christopher's head and combs his fingers through his son's soft curls. "I love you." Eddie says softly, realizing Christopher was already out cold. He stands and makes his way out of the bedroom, praying Shannon was already asleep when -

“You do know you can’t just walk back into his life and act like you’ve been here the whole time, right?” Shannon snaps at him the second he closes the door to Christopher’s room. “Do you even - do you even know what it was like these past 5 years?” “I-” Eddie opens his mouth to speak but is immediately cut off.  “Of course you don’t. Because you weren’t here.” She looks angry, disappointed, frustrated, and about 10 other emotions as she turns her back to go into the living room, away from Christopher’s door.  Eddie thinks about turning the other way and heading right out the door and having this conversation later but he can’t. He loves Christopher too much to even consider jeopardizing this.  “I know.” He says calmly, standing in front of her and crossing his arms as she sits on the corner of the couch. “I panicked, Shannon. We were kids and I - I panicked and I- I don’t even know how to apologize. To you. To him.. I just - I-” “You can start by taking him to his doctor's appointment tomorrow at 3.” She says sternly. “And then he has physical therapy. Right next door, at 3:45. And then he has homework, and speech therapy, and he has to eat.” Shannon stands up, shaking her head angrily.  “You want to be a parent, Eddie? This is it. It’s not a trip to the aquarium or the zoo once a week. It’s - It’s hard and it’s frustrating and you don’t get to walk in here and be the favorite because you’ve never had to tell him no.” She brushes past him, her shoulder bumping into his as she turns around. “I’ll tell him you’re picking him up from school. Enjoy being the fun parent tomorrow, Eddie.” She spits out, shutting the door to her bedroom angrily and leaving Eddie alone in the living room.

i haven’t reeeeally started writing anything other than planning this out broadly because it’s very plot heavy but got a little lost thinkin about the intimacy of shaving the other day so this is from x files au in some shitty shared motel room while they’re cryptid hunting or chasing aliens idk we’ll figure it out

When he emerges, hair towelled dry and in clean clothes, Eddie frowns at him. “What?” he asks. “Promise I didn’t finish all the hot water.” “No, you just look—” Eddie gestures at Buck’s face, “—scruffier than usual.” “Oh,” Buck says, running a hand over his day-four stubble. “I forgot my razor.” “Oh,” Eddie’s face clears, “just use mine.” Buck swallows. “Um. Okay. Thanks.” Eddie nods at him and goes back to squinting at his phone, so Buck about-faces and re-enters the bathroom. It’s not a big deal, he tells himself as he foams up his face. It’s like—like sharing a hairbrush. Intimate, sure, not something you’d tend to do with people you don’t know well, but it’s not a big deal.  He wets the razor and brings it to his throat, heart hammering there so violently it feels like his Adam’s apple is trying to get out. If his hand doesn’t stop trembling he’s going to nick himself, and God, he is being absolutely fucking ridiculous. Deep breath. The razor glides over the thin skin of his throat, muscle memory even as he stares at himself in the mirror. Doesn’t think about Eddie doing this every morning, using this very razor. Blade edge kissing his jaw the same way it kisses Eddie’s. Doesn’t think about Eddie doing this for him, hand holding his chin as he shaves Buck carefully, grip firm when he turns Buck’s face this way and that. Doesn’t think about Eddie kissing where the blade kissed him first.  Doesn’t think about any of that when he rinses the razor clean and slots it back into the travel mug, where Buck’s toothbrush rests against Eddie’s with such easy familiarity it’s about to spark a whole new crisis.

Tease tidbit Tuesday

More from I want to dance with you tonight (and for the rest of my life) (it's 10k but we are finally near the wedding!!!)

Going out of the bathroom, Buck hears the start of the ‘Playing with the boys’ and runs to the kitchen to not miss any part of Tommy singing and moving his hips dancing around the kitchen. No song can make Tommy dance and sing so actively as this one.

Quietly, making sure not to make any sounds, Buck enters the kitchen and leans on the doorway, admiring his boyfriend in simple black shorts and gray tank hoodie, who sways his hips in the rhythm of the song, with spatula working as a microphone. The sun from the big windows around the kitchen creates perfect lighting around him, making Tommy look brighter, almost shiny like the sun himself, and his hair looks almost like caramel.

Buck enjoys the show, smiling so hard his cheeks can start aching, but he doesn’t care. Tommy looks so good, happy and free, trying hard not to scream the song in all his voice, as he thinks Buck is still sleeping, and Buck can't be happier too. He was looking for this simple happiness of waking up to someone singing and cooking in the kitchen, waiting for him to wake up, for so long, he started to believe he would never have it. But he has it now. With Tommy not caring if Buck would see him like that or not, he just simply enjoys to sing and dance and take care of them both with tasty breakfast, because somehow even though Buck is definitely better cook overal, omelet with bacon is something Tommy beats him in.

When the song nears the end, Buck decides to finally show he’s not asleep anymore. He hugs his boyfriend from behind leaving the kiss firstly on his naked from the tank top shoulder and then stands on tiptoes to kiss Tommy's cheek and forehead, smiling when the man turns his head to peck his lips.

“Morning sunshine,” Tommy kisses his nose and gets his attention to the food.

“Morning handsome,” Buck gets comfortable behind Tommy’s back, putting his head on Tommy’s shoulder. “I enjoyed the show.”

Definitely not seven sentence Sunday(But I don't care)

I want to end this fic as fast as I can as I really wanna post it before next episode, but bucktommy make it so long. it's already 9k and we still not near the wedding which was firstly the point of the fic. TO DANCE ON MADNEY WEDDING. Anyway here is bucktommy after they made love to each other in really long 2,5k words tender sex scene. They are showering and Buck makes Tommy wish his birthday would be tomorrow

“I knew you chose me because of my ass,” Tommy says when Buck ends cleaning him, but not putting his hands from Tommy’s ass, just gripping him harder. Tommy just hugs his waist, not moving away from the touch, Buck kind of actually sure he even a little arches into it. 

“Mmmm, no,” Buck kisses the cute nose scrunch Tommy does when he smiles so pretty, “I chose you because you changed my whole worldview with best kiss skills I’ve ever seen,” Buck winks at his boyfriend with the ego he had only during his Buck 1.0 times, but then loses all his breath from how beautiful his boyfriend when he laughs so open with his head tilt back. 

Damn, he’s falling so hard for his man. And no one better even try to stop him. 

“Well, I’m happy my ass is not the main reason you’re with me.”

“Trust me, baby, it’s definitely no more of the big reasons I chose you, than you choosing me because of my tits and long legs.”

Tommy groans, “I knew it was a bad idea to say it to you.”

“Mmm, I don’t think it was such a bad idea to tell me that,” Buck leans to Tommy’s ear. “How else I would know that my idea about surprising you on your birthday with lace lingerie and stockings is actually a good idea?”

Tommy swallows, with his hands tightening their hold on Buck.

“You're joking, right?” Tommy says it with the red and dumbstruck face which tells him his boyfriend definitely doesn’t want him to joke.

“I might joke, I might not,” Buck sings in the most bratty manner he can. “You just have to wait till your birthday next month and see,” with a wicked smirk and wink Buck stops the water and gets out, taking two towels from the dryer.
