Finally had time to start the Sir Pentious plush designs! He is... A lot harder to come up with cute designs than Lucifer was haha.
I honestly have no idea if I should keep the hat or not or how many eyes he should have on his tail. Confusion is all I know now

Thank-you Ko-fi sentences for @beatrice-otter; Billy adopts Conner and it actually goes pretty good!
“Um, can we maybe sit for a bit?” Billy suggests, gesturing towards the bean bag chairs. They look comfier than the couch to him. Which is saying something, because the couch looks really comfy. “I wanna tell you something before you decide if you wanna stay here. Well, there’s a few things we should talk about before you decide that, probably? But this one’s kinda the weirdest one.”
“. . . fine,” Superboy says warily, and they both sit on the bean bags. Superboy looks a little bewildered by them; Billy represses another wince. Maybe Cadmus didn’t teach him about bean bag chairs?
That sucks, if they didn’t.
Well, at least Superboy didn't say “no” this time. Although Billy hopes Superboy saying “fine” doesn't actually mean “no”, now that he's thinking of it, because that'd be–
Yeah, okay, Billy needs to not second-guess literally everything Superboy says, so they're definitely gonna have to have the “no” talk ASAP.
“Okay, cool,” Billy says as he settles in carefully on his own bean bag, which is a little awkward because he’s about twice the size he was the last time he sat on one, but he figures it out eventually. This is a weird conversation to have, definitely, but it’s not really . . . like, it’d be bad to lie to Superboy about this, even if he’s gonna keep lying to the Justice League, so . . . well, lying to his co-workers isn’t like lying to his kid, he thinks. Like–it’s definitely not. “Okay, so the thing is, uh, to be totally honest here I'm actually only like twelve years older than you, so I know this whole situation is a liiiiittle weird, but I think it'll be great! And I've really only been doing the superhero thing for a couple of years myself but I can definitely still help you with your powers and with learning how to get along with normal humans and that kind of stuff!”
Superboy stares at him in bemusement. Billy has to repress a wince again. Bemused staring is . . . not great. Though it could be worse, really.
“. . . wait, are you human?” Superboy asks with a slow frown. “You don't look human. You don't have pores or any variation in skin pigmentation and your face is perfectly symmetrical. And your irises don't have spokes.”
“Uh, well, technically I'm human but, uh, please don't tell anybody cuz I reaaaaally don't wanna explain that to the Justice League,” Billy says, wincing after all, and then adds in a mutter, “At least not any time in the next six years, anyway.”
“Okay,” Superboy says, sounding skeptical. But he doesn’t sound mad or weirded out, so . . . that’s a good sign, right? Billy thinks that’s a good sign. So–good! That’s good, that Superboy isn’t immediately freaked out by him only being twelve or walking straight out the door. Like, that’s a relief. So this is going great so far!
“. . . you’re really only twelve years older than me?” Superboy asks, his frown deepening a little as he looks Billy over. Billy grins sheepishly. He’d show him, obviously, but he’s pretty sure Batman’s surveilling the apartment at least a little bit while they settle in and he doesn’t want him seeing the lightning hit, sooooo . . . yeah, not right now.
Anyway, if he’s being a dad he should be dad-shaped, right? Being dad-shaped is better! And like this he’s big enough to hug Superboy really good and maybe carry him around and stuff like that, and he knows most little kids like being carried, and . . . well, his dad always did that kind of stuff for him, so . . .
He just wants to be a good dad. His was . . . his was really great, and Superboy should get to have a great dad too.
“Um, yeah, but please don't tell anyone that either, the League would be so freaking weird about it,” Billy says, still sheepish.
“. . . sure,” Superboy says, still frowning a little. Billy beams at him. This is going really good, yeah! Well, Superboy’s gotta be used to weird age-related stuff, considering he’s technically a baby himself but also “old” enough to understand a lot more than a regular baby would be able to. So yeah, that’s pretty helpful.
Awesome.

woah I made an oc?!?! And tried lineless art for the first time?!?!
Tumblr media
anways it doesnt have a name yet but I do have a basic idea for lore and story surrounding them ^^
there's also a textless version and a pupiless version as well as extra info below the cut if anyone is interested
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I like it better with pupils but my future design ideas work better without them :|
If anyone has any suggestions for this character that'd be super cool and appreciated! Im trying to get back into writing again and I'm starting to craft a story around this silly guy
I've just been calling them "The Storyteller" because that's kinda what they are
I'm writing (just concepts so far) something sorta similar to TGWDLM where a random guy gets isekai'd back into his own world except it's now a stereotypical book and he's the main character
Pretty much guy has to escape while dealing with main character tropes and the narrator (the guy I drew) forcing him and other characters to stay on script?? Idk it's literally 2am and I came up with this 2 hours ago :')
Ok sorry for the mouthful I'm just happy that I was able to not only design a character but also write LORE ?!?!
Also I just realized the contrast on the colors is really bad so I'll probably fix that the next time I draw it :)

Tomorrow Pt. 1
Pairing: Yoongi x Reader x Hoseok
Word Count: 2.0k
Warnings: vague descriptions of injuries
Genre: kinda angst kinda fluff
Summary: You and your German Shephard hybrid have been on the police force for five years now. The job has its exciting moments sure but for the most part you'd consider it pretty straightforward from shift to shift. A noise complaint usually means a rowdy neighbor not a badly beaten hybrid tied to a tree so- you'd say this counts as one of those less than straightforward circumstances.
***
"The police force? You seriously want to join the police force?" Your friend Jackson blinks at you.
"Yeah. I think it would be good for me." You nod.
"It's dangerous though y/n." He sighs.
"I know- but like almost anything I do could be dangerous. I wanna at least do something that I feel makes a difference." You shrug.
"Alright- well most officers have a hybrid partner you know."
"Why did you say that like it's gonna be a problem?"
"No- I'm suggesting you adopt a hybrid. It'll be easier to go through training with one. I wish I'd known you could do it that way when I started." He explains.
"Oh- okay. That's good advice. Thank you." You say.
"Of course- I know I can't change your mind so, I at least want you to kick ass. Maybe we'll work together once you graduate." Jackson smiles at you.
"Yeah- maybe. That'd be cool." You hum.
And now you're here. A hybrid adoption shelter. You don't really know what kind of hybrid you're looking for but you gather you'll know the right match when you find them.
"Hello how can I help you?" The woman behind the desk smiles at you when you enter the building.
"Hi, I'm- looking to adopt." You say.
"Are you looking for any breed of hybrid in particular?" She asks.
"Uh- no not really." You shake your head.
"Well, we can head on back and you can see if anyone seems like the right fit." She says leading you to the kennels.
The first hybrid you make eye contact with is a cat of some sort. She makes a disgruntled noise at you and turns over in the bed where she's laying. That certainly wasn't promising.
The next hybrid you see has rounded ears- maybe a big cat or a bear- you can't be sure. You smile at them.
"Oh they're in the process of being adopted already." The woman you're with says with a wave.
Another hybrid makes a chattery noise that grabs your attention but when you look at the source the hybrid looks- for lack of a better word- sickly. You sigh sadly- he probably wouldn't be a good match for you but you hope he gets proper care.
Most of the kennels are actually empty, which is nice to see, it gives you hope that the hybrids are getting adopted pretty regularly.
Then you pass a hybrid that looks at you inquisitively. You stop in front of his kennel and tilt your head at him. He's a dog hybrid of some sort.
"That's a german shepherd. He's- pretty quiet, one of our newer hybrids here." The woman says.
"What's his name?" You ask.
"Yoongi." She says.
"Hi Yoongi. I'm y/n." You say to the hybrid.
"Hello." He says kind of flatly, he's still trying to analyze you.
"Do you wanna talk to him? We've got rooms for that-"
"If he'd like to sure." You nod.
"Yoongi?" The woman looks at him.
"Sure." Yoongi stands as the woman unlocks his kennel and leads you both around the corner to one of the rooms she was talking about.
"I'll be just outside if you need anything." She says leaving the two of you.
"Have you ever owned a hybrid before?" Yoongi asks you.
"No- I've got friends with hybrids but this is the first time I've considered having one myself." You shrug.
"Why the change?"
"Truthfully I'm planning on joining the police force." You say.
"And you need a hybrid for that?" He frowns confused.
"Well no I don't need a hybrid for that it's just that- well once I graduate they'll probably pair me with a hybrid anyway so I thought if I could find a hybrid that I clicked with it would be easier than risking being paired with a hybrid that- I wasn't compatible with." You shrug.
"So you're adopting a hybrid to have a coworker?" Yoongi scoffs.
"In part sure."
"At least you're upfront about it I guess."
"Why would I lie? It's not like there's something wrong with that."
"Sure but most hybrids don't want to get adopted just to be forced into something like police work."
"Well what about you?" You ask.
"What?" He blinks at you.
"What about you. What do you want to be adopted to do?" You ask.
"I don't think it matters." He frowns.
"I think it does. I'm not just here to adopt any hybrid that'll come home with me I- want a hybrid that I can live and work with. You seemed just as intrigued by me as I am by you." You tell him.
"That's- perceptive." He hums.
"Always have been." You shrug.
"Me too." Yoongi says.
You end up talking with Yoongi for almost a full hour before the employee eventually comes in to check on you. Yoongi seems a bit closed off at first but by the time you're leaving the adoption place you've already started the paperwork to adopt him. Even if he doesn't join the police force with you he's definitely the hybrid you were looking for that you didn't know you were looking for.
Yoongi, evidently, was interested in police work. He didn't tell you that right away but after he'd settled into your apartment with you he brought it up once he felt closer to you. It was almost six months later that he told. By then he was sure that you'd work well together so he was ready to start the training process with you.
*~*~*
That was five years ago. You and Yoongi have been in the field together since then and while the job has its drawbacks you both still feel like this is what you're meant to be doing. Even when you're on a night patrol and get a call for what sounds like your run of the mill noise complaint. You knock on the door of the address you were dispatched to and a woman in her 30s opens the door.
"Seoul PD. We got a call about a noise complaint?" You explain.
"Ah yes- I heard a uh- a wailing coming from the woods behind the house. It seems to have stopped now but-"
"No- I can still hear it. Well it's not a wail anymore. It's a whimper- like whatever it's coming from is too weak to make a louder sound." Yoongi says.
"Well then let's check it out." You gesture for Yoongi to lead the way and follow cautiously as he walks into the woods. You scan your surroundings with your flashlight as you walk behind Yoongi.
"I think it's an animal." Yoongi whispers, walking deeper into the trees.
"An animal? Can you tell what kind or how big?" You ask just as quietly.
"Whatever it is it's pretty large I think- but it's hard to tell, it's barely breathing so I can't get a proper gauge." Yoongi stops for a moment. You watch his ears twitch for a moment before he changes directions a little bit and keeps moving.
"No worries, we'll find out soon-"
"Shh- it's against that tree." Yoongi whispers pointing into the dark. Moonlight peeks through the spaced out trees and you see a figure slumped against a large tree.
"Yoongs that looks like a person." You whisper.
"I- I think that's a hybrid." Yoongi looks at you. You sigh sadly. You can only hope this hybrid isn't as hurt as it seems.
"Of course it is. Alright, I'm going to approach."
"Be careful." Yoongi warns. He's on alert but knows it wouldn't be good for you both to approach the hybrid at once. They would likely get scared and not react well.
"Hello, my name is y/n y/l/n, I'm with the police department. We got called because someone heard sounds of distress." You say gently, walking slowly towards the hybrid.
"H-he-"
"Can you tell me your name by chance?" You ask squatting once you're close enough. This close you can see the hybrid is some sort of dog. His ears look like Yoongi's but you're almost sure he's not the same type of hybrid.
"H-Hos-Hoseok." He breathes out. His voice is breathy and strained.
"Y/n don't make him talk too much." Yoongi warns.
"You need help. We're gonna try to move you now, okay?" You ask.
"K." Hoseok huffs out the single letter. You shine your flashlight on him to see if anything needs to be taken care of before you can move him. He's mostly covered in bruises, there's a few cuts but nothing that requires a tourniquet or anything. It's only now that you realize his arms are tied about him to the tree.
"Oh god- alright I'm gonna cut your hands free so we can move you." You say pulling out your switchblade. You carefully cut the ropes and his arms drop down with a groan.
"Come here Yoongi we need to get him to the car. He needs a hospital. Be careful." You say. Yoongi moves forward and hoists Hoseok carefully up until he's leaning against his back. The two of you walk back through the woods back the way you came. "I'm gonna tell the woman that called us we've taken care of it, go ahead and put Hoseok in the car." You say once you make it back to the car.
"Yeah sure." Yoongi grunts. You knock on the woman's door and she opens it quickly.
"Sorry to disturb you again ma'am I just wanted to let you know that we found the source of the wailing you were hearing and we've taken care of it." You tell her.
"Oh- what was it? An animal or something? Was anyone hurt?" She asks.
"Uh- it was actually a hybrid. We're taking him to get checked out." You explain.
"Alright. I hope he's okay." She frowns.
"Thank you for calling us. We'll do what we can for him. Have a good night." You say.
"Thank you for coming. You guys have a good night too!" She says with a nod. You get into the car where Yoongi and Hoseok are waiting.
"How'd it go?" Yoongi asks as you pull off.
"I told her it was a hybrid and we were going to help him. She said good night and that was about it." You shrug.
"It's a good thing she called." Yoongi says. You hum your agreement. The drive to the hospital is quiet, Yoongi looking back at Hoseok every once in a while to check on him. Once you get to the hospital, Yoongi drapes Hoseok over his shoulders again and pulls him into the hospital.
"Excuse me we need some help." You call the nearest nurse who doesn't look busy.
"What can we do for you?" He asks.
"This hybrid needs help. We found him tied up in the woods. He's hurt really bad." You explain. The nurse barks some orders at some of the other people in the emergency room and Hoseok is taken from Yoongi quickly. Hoseok is placed on one of the beds and you follow the nurse over to him while he asks you questions.
"Do you know what happened to him?" The nurse asks.
"No- we got a 911 call about some sounds of distress." Yoongi says.
"Alright sir we're gonna get you all the help you need." The nurse says to Hoseok whose eyes are barely open.
"His name is Hoseok." You say.
"Thank you. We'll take care of him from here." The nurse says with a curt nod.
"We should stay. Right?" Yoongi asks you quietly.
"Our shift is almost over we can't stay for long. We have to clock out." You say.
"We can't just abandon him here though." Yoongi frowns.
"No one said anything about that, we'll come back in the morning Yoongi but we can't stay all night. They might not even let us, we're not connected to him at all." You say. Just before Hoseok gets taken away by nurses Yoongi walks back over to him.
"Hoseok- we'll be back in tomorrow." He says. One nurse looks at you.
"We're on the clock right now but we'll be back after we're off." You confirm. The nurse just nods and continues off with Hoseok.
"Do you think he'll be okay?" Yoongi asks.
"The doctors are capable. They'll do whatever they can for him." You assure Yoongi. With that, you leave the hospital to finish your shift at the end of which you both head home for some sleep.
Tonight wasn't even one of your harder nights but you're thoroughly exhausted by the time you roll into bed with Yoongi curled up beside you.

Neo: The World Ends With You
I'm invested in the original game and its characters, I'm invested in this game and its characters. I've had a lot of time for the original game to marinate and I can say that I enjoy pretty much every character and their arc and while I don't exactly feel the same with this one, that's not disappointing to me and this was my most anticipated game of 2021 so I mean that. This is a sequel, I expected as much and it didn't let me down, it's even better than I thought.
This is a NONSPOILER review because I think it's best experienced by actually experiencing it so I'll keep a lot of character, story, and even gameplay details out other than how the very VERY beginning of the game starts out with Rindo and Fret.
Tumblr media
Let me give credit where credit is due, Rindo is voiced by Paul Castro Jr. who is a new voice actor and I was honestly impressed by his voice more than anyone else in the game, I love his voice and while Rindo has some pretty big shoes to fill as the main, I think he does it. Rindo seems to act pretty accordingly to the situation he's put in. He's not as edgy as Neku but he has enough push to him to where he would be considered the "negative" of the group but I would rather call it "rational" because he brings up some valid points, stuff that I myself was asking. Putting yourself in his shoes, that seems pretty accurate.
Fret on the other hand is a bit of the opposite, an optimist if you will. He's not really a "bad" character, just in comparison to the others, he's not my favorite. I think that there needs to be someone in his position who tries to uplift the team, but he's just a little annoying about it sometimes. Also get ready to hear "Galaxy Brain, ACTIVATE!!" literally hundreds of times, as much as he talks, you'd think he'd add more variety.
IMPROVEMENTS:
I'm not going to complain about certain gameplay elements or limitations that carried over from the last game except one. The camera. It's fixed to where you have no control over it in the city areas and therefore can't get a proper look at everything, whether that works in its favor, I'm not sure because you get used to it but it's just a small peeve you start out with.
Tumblr media
The combat is pretty loyal to the first game which is surprising. I personally didn't like the original gameplay because it was so limited on the DS, a lot of room for error, but having it on console expands the system and lets you use buttons rather than mashing a touch screen, improving on almost, if not all, gameplay fronts. However, because it's based on a game from 2007, the system may seem a little outdated to some, it's really up to you, it made a fan out of me, making it more fun.
I played the original in bites, not because of lack of enjoyment but because I felt like it was a game I could only get into for so long at a time but with this game it's the complete opposite. Maybe it was the DS hardware that hampered the original but I say it's a decent success on this game's part. I also felt that Persona 5 seemed a bit formulaic in its story context and gameplay layout with each castle but this game, while having patterns, it changes before you get the chance to really catch on. I could predict P5 but I couldn't predict this, each day was a mystery, I knew you'd fight people but I didn't always know who or when which is crazy considering that P5 had all the choices!
A small improvement that I'll suggest for combat is having short rhythm based moves or even QTEs, like how in the original Shiki had the directional pad moves which were annoying but still varied from the rest of the gameplay. There are definitely new things that you can do, but there are a few aspects worth complaining about. You can unlock certain abilities and once you enable them, you can't disable them. The only one that it personally applies with is the ability to enable individual health bars for enemies, rather than an overall one. Which sounds good but-
Tumblr media
I personally don't like that it's always floating above their heads, if it was on the side screen, that'd be one thing but constantly above their heads? No deal. I actually had to go back and load up an old save to get rid of it. But with unlocking certain abilities comes with quality of life aspects so if you're not in love with the gameplay at first, give it a little bit because you might be able to unlock whatever piece you're missing.
There's also "soundsurfing" that adds to your groove meter that you can use when running around and it said that you press (in my case "X" on PS4) to the beat of the song which is a cool concept but it really isn't clear how to use it because I try matching the beat and I get nothing and have more success just button mashing. The groove meter can drop when it's not supposed to, like when you literally can't attack during the buffering of a special or switching between battles in a chain (The "Get Ready" screen) And if you're in a proper boss battle, you HAVE to fight, it's like a trainer battle in Pokémon which is especially annoying when you accidentally press "retry". It has no reason to be there when I already know that I'm not prepared for the boss and can't back out.
Tumblr media
Do the trailers spoil it?
Originally, I only saw the first and or second trailer and knew I wanted it so there was no reason to see any more but it was kind of overwhelming with all the characters they were showing off in just a single trailer. I don't think they needed to go that far but I understand why they did. I understand why they showed a lot of things that they did but I think it's a bit easier to SWALLOW when it's introduced in-game. I even found myself doing all the side-quests and being engaged in the side-stuff in-game. But I knew about people pointing out spoilers so after I finished it, I went back and looked at the other trailers and OH BOY. The final trailer shows some stuff and I'm SO glad I didn't watch it. They straight up show some out of context death scenes as well as different alliances and betrayals, not to mention parts of the freaking ending. The launch trailer is no better, it's just like that trailer but cut down. You may not have context but you can draw some hefty conclusions and that alone makes me question, why? I'm not sure if there are many reveals that they DIDN'T tease, it's like they went out of their way to hit every single one. Whether it's Square or Nintendo, they need to figure out how to cut a trailer, heck, hire me, I at least have the editing skills and know what's interesting enough to show and what's too spoilery not to show, come on!
Is it newcomer friendly?
I heard a lot of things like "it drops you in without mercy so pay very close attention" (in terms of story, that is) so only people who played the original game will be able to get it. But I beg to differ, I think it does a pretty good job of filling you in while putting you in the shoes of a new player (both in the game and out) AND keeping the mystery of whatever happened since the last game coming in small pieces. Most of the dialogue text boxes are voice acted so it's not really a slog to read. To prove my point further, the premise starts out very similar so it should be easy to clue in what exactly happened in the last game. Of course you're going to get more enjoyment out of it if you played the original but I don't think you'd be totally lost if you started with this one and played to right before the ending because then it kinda has to do stuff without preface, so you're going to be confused by much of the emotional weight that it carries. But it still gives you plenty of time to catch up on the original, whether through the game, videos, or lore, this game has you ask the questions, so fill in the blank. It has a nice length to it so you'll have until the ending to figure it out. Also, Final Remix teased stuff that this game makes clarity on but I wouldn't call FR mandatory. (Except maybe no numbers on the hand? Maybe even I missed something there.)

Spidey Senses (pt. 6)
Peter Parker x reader
Summary: Having to keep up a lie is hard for Peter when you're trying to help him.
Word Count: 3366
Chapter 1 • Chapter 5
Tumblr media
"What do you mean finally?! This is bad. Really, really bad Ned. I shouldn't be thinking about her like that!"
"Dude, it's your feelings. You're gonna feel whatever way you do. You can't control that stuff."
"But this could ruin our friendship. I don't want that." Peter whined over the phone as he put his hand over his eyes, laying on his bed.
"Or~ maybe this could all work and you could score a girlfriend." Ned suggested, amusement laced in his voice. "I mean, I didn't want to be the first one to say this, but..."
"What?"
"Let's just put it this way. She's always had a cute heart. Over time, her heart got cuter and went straight to making her face kinda hot."
"Ned." Peter frustratedly said.
Ned gave him a goofy laugh. "You sound like your getting jealous or something."
Peter quickly sat up. "Do you think that'll happen?"
"Probably." He said nonchalantly. "All seriousness Peter, you should go for it. I always thought you two would be good together. There's just something there, trust me. And hey, you two could be the amazing spider couple. That'd be awesome."
"Spider couple." He smiled and laid back down. "You think people would make that, like, a ship name for us?"
"Dude, you could have a super girlfriend. How awesome does that sound?!"
Peter let out a chuckle. "That does sound pretty cool. Okay, thanks for the therapy session. Night Ned."
"No problem. Night." And with that Peter stayed up to think about you some more.
The next week at school went horribly. All Peter wanted to do was spend more time with you, but you kept pushing him towards Liz at gym class and in Mathletes. He felt so jealous whenever he saw you goofing off with Ned. You were a very touchy person, and every warm hug to Ned felt like Peter's arms were getting colder.
When Liz was finally busy, he went over to you and sat a little closer to you than usual. "Hey Peter." You greeted brightly. "Any progress?"
"On what?" He asked dumbly.
"Liz." You said quietly.
"Oh!" He voice cracked and cleared his throat. "Oh. Um, not really. I think I'm done for the day."
"Aw, Peter!" You rubbed his arm. "You shouldn't give up on stuff that's important to you."
He sighed, glancing at Ned's confused face. "Can't I just spend the rest of the day with you?"
You smiled and nodded, patting his cheek gently. Peter's phone buzzed and it was a text message from Ned.
Not Guy in the Chair: Why didn't you tell her how you feel?
He glanced at you working on your notes.
SM: I don't want things to be weird.
Not Guy in the Chair: The truth will set you free 🕊️🕊️
SM: Shhhh
You then took out left over brownies for Peter. He gladly took one as Flash came over, taking one out of the container as well. "Hey babe."
"Don't touch my stuff and never call me that." You closed your container and put it in your backpack. "What do you want Flash?"
"Just making sure you got a hot outfit for the party. Finally gonna show some skin?"
"I do have a costume. Peter was with me when I got it too. We had a lot of fun." Peter looked at you and smiled.
Flash then rolled his eyes. "Really? How could anyone ever have fun with Penis Parker?"
"Well we do." You tugged each boy at your side into a side hug. "Do you have a special trio that would do anything for you?"
He nervously scoffed. "I have more than two friends. Does every friend seem special to you when you're not popular?"
"If you called one of your friends in the middle of the night and told them to come over cause you're sad, would any of them do it?" He was silent as he looked down. "That's a special friend. Now goodbye."
"Y'know—"
"Good. Bye." You pressed, frowning.
"I—"
"Dude," MJ interrupted. "Know when you've been beat. Walk away."
He then did so, stomping away. You smiled and looked over to MJ. "Why do we not talk to each other?"
"Cause you're a loser." She said, matter-of-factly.
Though Ned and Peter have her a confused frown, your smile only widened. "What are you?"
"Friendless."
"Not anymore!" You exclaimed. The teacher then announced that the club session just ended. "We'll see you at lunch tomorrow then."
She stared at you for a moment. "...Okay, I guess. Bye." You could tell that she held back a smile as you excitedly waved at her before packing up.
You and Peter were walking home, when he asked about MJ. "I don't know." You said, shrugging. "I just feel like she's cool. My spidey senses can feel it."
"You say that about everything." He laughed.
"Because I'm always right about everything. It's a given." He chuckled again. "C'mon, don't you ever have intensified feelings about some things or people?"
He awkwardly smiled and nodded, looking away from you. "More than I should." He mumbled.
"Hm?"
"I said I should hope so."
"Well then, see? I'm right again." You grinned.
"Did your spidey senses feel that too?"
"Yup." You both chuckled.
Over the next few days MJ began to directly hang out with you and the boys, and she said that she would be going to the party as well. "I don't believe in stereotyping geeks out of parties, which is why I'm supporting you guys tomorrow." She explained with an almost unnoticeable smile.
"So generous." You teased back, Ned and Peter smiling as well. "What'll you be going as?"
"Oh, I'll be going as part of the impartial generation of today." She gave a sly smile.
"Nice, nice." You nodded contently before Flash came up to your table again. "Holy crap man, are you sure you even have friends? Why do you keep bugging me?"
"Just wanted to see what the new member of the Penis Parker group was like." He then nodded to Mj, to which she didn't respond. He then rudely waved his hand over her face. "Hello?"
She backed her face up as you smacked his hand away. "Leave her alone."
"What? This is probably the most exciting thing to happen to her. It's not like you guys have interesting lives." You and Peter looked at each other. "I'm guessing that's a no?"
"Well Peter and y/n know Spiderman and Spidergirl!" Ned blurted out.
Flash then did a breathy, wheezing laugh. "Are you kidding me? How would they know them?"
"The Stark Internship!"
"Ned, stop talking." You mumbled. Ned nodded and put his head down. "We met them a few times, so we don't really know them or anything, and even if we did were aren't supposed to talk about it."
"Well Peter," he ignored you. "If you're actually cool then why don't you invite them the the party?"
"Cause we wouldn't want to waste their time by having them go to some fanboy's party." You argued, knowing Peter would choke up if he answered.
Flash shrugged it off. "That's what I thought." He said as he left.
The next day you were talking to Linda while in your costume with your mini backpack slung over your shoulder. She was telling you about the job interview she's getting and how she's saving up the money from Tony's watch to rent an apartment in the building you live it. "I'm so happy right now Linda! You could totally be one of those super nosey neighbors, and I would pretend to be okay with it!"
"That would be a dream come true." She said as you both turned your heads to see Peter coming, also dressed up. "Just a few years older, and I would totally go for that."
You sighed. "You're such a creeper Linda."
"And you should loosen up and be more of a creeper." You gave her a look, and she only shrugged. "Just saying. Press on and go for it."
"Hey guys." Peter greeted with a smile. "Everything okay?"
"Yup!" You hopped off the steps you were sitting on. "Let's go."
"Okay. Bye Linda." Peter politely waved.
"Don't acknowledge her Peter, it makes her weirder."
"Don't be jealous that I'm more fun." She called out, smiling.
Peter chuckled and tried to put his hands in his pockets, only for his hands to slip from there being none. He didn't know what to do with his free hand that wasn't carrying the shield. He probably looked so awkward in front of you right now. This was so nerve wracking.
"Peter calm down." You suddenly said, causing him to jump a little. "It's my first party too, but we got each other. And we know Ned's gonna be there to be a dork, and Mj will be there to remind us how stupid we look. It'll be great."
He nervously laughed, scratching his head. "Yeah, I guess." He then became nervous just thinking about what would happen if you discovered this crush, especially at the party with Flash. "Y/n, what do you see in men?"
The question was unexpected, and your face felt like it was in flames. "What would you ask that?"
"Just wondering. I don't think I've ever seen you flirt with someone." He mentally sighed at the save.
"Mm, I guess he has to be nice, for starters. I'd want him to make me laugh, and care about me. I don't know, that's really it."
"Really? Only that?"
"Yeah?"
"Nothing with looks, or..."
"Peter!" You lightly smacked his arm and giggled. "You know I don't care about that stuff."
"You care about your own looks." He said quietly.
"That's different though." You grinned and tugged on his wrist. "We're here. C'mon."
Ned was waiting on the steps, looking up at you two in major relief. "Guys, tell me you brought the suits."
You both nodded. "Our suits aren't party tricks." You said. "This feels way too wrong."
"Yeah, I'm with y/n. Those suits are worth way too much to use for something like this." Peter added.
"Only for a few minutes. This is our chance for Flash to stop messing with us." Ned whined.
You huffed. "Okay, but only if Flash is being extra annoying."
The three of you walked inside and saw Flash trying to be a DJ, playing some basic techno music. He saw the three of you, and brought out his mic. "Hey Penis Parker, where's your superhero friends? That's not Spiderman, that's Ned in a onesie."
People began laughing, and you pursed your lips. "I'll be right back."
You left and went behind a building, opening your backpack and quickly changing into your hero outfit. You took a deep breath, and was about to swing in when you got a call from Peter.
"Dude, tell me she's doing it." You could hear Ned say.
"I don't know, I'm gonna ask her. Y/n?"
"Yeah?" You laughed out.
"Did you really put it on?"
"Yeah. Are you gonna join me or do you just want me to do it?"
"This doesn't feel right."
"Peter doesn't know what he's saying." Ned called out in a child-like tone.
"Ned's being mean to me." Peter responded in the same tone.
You giggled. "Look guys, I don't feel great about it, but Flash needs to be knocked down a peg. It hurts to see him treat you guys like crap. This is just gonna be a one time thing, right?"
"Right." Peter confirmed.
Ned remained silent, but Peter nudged him. He huffed. "Right."
"Okay, I'll be down in a bit." You then ended the call.
"So, I've been meaning to ask," Ned said. "But why does y/n still think you like Liz? I thought you were gonna tell her yesterday."
"I didn't know how to tell her the truth! I panicked!"
"You're hopeless." Mj said as she walked up to the two boys. "What happened to y/n?"
"She went to go get Spidergirl." Ned nodded for way to long as he said this.
"Wait," She looked genuinely surprised. "So you guys, like, actually know the Spider heros?"
"What was that?" Flash asked over his mic. "Is Penis Parker actually going to bring Spiderman and Spidergirl here?"
"Actually, um, Spiderman couldn't make it." Peter said before clearing his throat awkwardly. "But Spidergirl said she'd make an appearance."
Flash obnoxiously laughes into the mic. "Can anybody believe this guy?"
You then swung in. "I do." You raised your hand playfully as everyone began cheering. "You guys were expecting me, right?"
Everyone cheered again. "Oh my God." Flash said in a high pitched manner.
You grabbed Ned by the shoulders. "It's Ned, right?" You asked over the music, loud enough for everyone to hear. "I've heard good things about you."
"All true." He showed his goofy smile.
You patted his cheek. "I bet!" You turned and walked over to Peter, giving him a big hug. He returned it, finding the hug oddly comforting considering everyone was staring. "Peter! It's been a bit, huh?"
He awkwardly chuckled. "Yeah. Thanks for coming."
"Of course! When I heard from SM that the Peter Parker finally had time for a party, I knew I had to come and see it for myself! Maybe my partner could join in next time, yeah?"
"We... Um..." He kept doing his little pant–laugh thing that he does when he doesn't know what to say. "Yeah."
You moved over to look at Mj. "You go by Mj, right?" She nodded. "Y/n tells me you're super opinionated and awesome."
She smiled and shrugged, tucking back some hair. "I just kinda say whatever comes to mind. I don't really think before I talk sometimes."
You tapped her chin. "I love it. Never change." You then clapped your hands. "Now! Where's Flash Thompson?"
Everyone pointed to Flash, who quickly turned down the music. You swung to him quickly and caused him to back up into a small table, awkwardly steadying it. "H... Hi."
"Hi Flash. I wanted to let you know that me and Spiderman keep tabs on our friends, to make sure they're okay. We're pretty protective, y'know?"
"Yeah, yeah. I totally get that." He kept awkwardly nodding.
You nodded and patted his cheek. "I knew you would, so I need you to keep an eye on Peter and Ned while me and SM can't. Can you do that for me?"
"Yes, yes I can. I could do anything for you."
"Thank you Flash." You patted his arm, to which he looked at his arm in amazement. "Amazing. Okay, I gotta go. But remember, I keep tabs on your school, so I'll be watching!"
You then walked around for a bit taking pictures and talked to some people. You suddenly felt goosebumps all over and excused yourself, flying out and looking around. You saw a small blue explosion in the distance and quickly texted Peter.
He came as soon as he could and you explained the situation. Unbeknownst to the two of you, Mj noticed Peter leave quickly after you did. She also noticed that you weren't in sight while Spidergirl was here.
"Okay, okay. I, I need to change!" He then quickly took off his shirt and started unbuckling his pants, looking up to you dumbly staring at him. "Uh..."
"Sorry!" You quickly turned around and look off your mini backpack, plopping it down next to yourself. It had Peter's suit folded inside. "That was partially not my fault. You gotta warn somebody before you start stripping next time."
"Next time?" He asked teasingly. "You say it like you want it to happen again."
Truth be told, neither of you knew where this new found confidence of Peter came from to tease you like that. It was almost like he was flirting. You liked it though; it was as if he was becoming more confident and mature with himself.
Your face was hot as you grinned at the ground. "Well, you gotta pay for whatever expensive college you're gonna get into somehow. And I'll come visit at the strip club to support my best friend."
He hugged you with one arm from behind. "So supportive. Maybe the reason I'm a stripper is to support the both of us."
You chuckled and rubbed his arm. "My hero."
He turned you around and handed you your backpack. "This is a cool backpack, by the way. I like the mini things of Thor."
"Thank you." You said, awkwardly taking the backpack. "Now let's go."
Neither of you could get some webbing to hold onto any tree in the area, so instead you both ran across a whole field, looking kind of comical. By the time you two got there this one man was showing another some high tech weapons. You were getting closer to listen in, and it sounded like the guy wasn't interested in what the others were trying to sell.
"Why you trying to upsell me man?"
The other two guys didn't like this, and were slowly getting angrier. You tried to get closer, but Peter's phone went off from Ned calling him. You both hid as Peter fumbled to end the call, and the two merchants assumed the buyer was setting them up because of the noice. In an instant there were two guns pointed at the buyer.
"Woah, woah!" You yelled as you and Peter came out, hands up. "C'mon guys, I promise he wasn't turning his back on you two. And I'm a good guy; good guys don't lie."
"Really, if you guys are gonna shoot at anybody, shoot at me." Peter said with seriousness. "I'm the real threat."
The two guys looked at each other and pointed their guns at the both of you. "Okay."
You both dodged their shots and flung their guns away with your webs. You tried to shoot at the wheels of the car but the man with an electric glove shot at you, causing you to fling back. You noticed that the buyer hesitated to go and help you, but decided not to and instead hopped in his car and drove away.
When you got up they were getting in the car so you and Peter shot a web to the door. The door broke off, but Peter shot another web to the car to have you two ride the door.
"Hey, I got a really stupid idea!" You yelled out as the guy in the back of the van was reaching for a gun.
"Go for it!" The van hit a sharp turn, and you took this as chance to let go of the door and leap to a tree, using your strength to push and dive head first into the van.
"Woah, I did it!" The shocker guy tried to punch you with his electric glove, but you dodged it. "Someone's bitter!"
You began to go on a defensive position and dodge his contact hits and fires in the narrow van, until Peter shot a web at him that pinned one of his hands to the side of the van. He used the other hand to shoot at Peter, blasting him into a backyard.
"I'm okay!" You heard him yell out from a distance.
You slammed the shocker guy to the ground and pinned his hands and feet to the ground. You stood and shot web to cover his mouth as well. "That was a pretty rude thing to do, but I guess two v one isn't fair. Then again, you're are a bad guy."
You remembered that you had your backpack on this whole time, and took it off to hug it.
"Mh. Once again, Thor backpack comes in clutch. Odinson, you can me do no wrong." You opened your backpack and put some small weapons in it, zipping it up and putting it back on. You looked outside before turning around to talk to the man pinned on the ground. "I wonder where Spiderman went. It's all good though, I'll stop the car—"
You were cut off by something grabbing you and yanking you back. You yelped as you were whipped into this huge lake. The water hit you painfully and you began to see spots, seeing a flash of a man with mechanical wings. You almost didn't feel something bring you up.
"Thanks ma..." You looked up and winced. What was carrying you was the Iron Man suit. "Uh oh."
"I have some words for you two."
