Just My Thoughts Pt. 30

As we approach the end of FT 100 YQ (manga), I have a lot of expectations and hopes for a good ending that’s well thought out and developed. Right now we are entering into Ignia’s arc which is probably the most anticipated one of the series so far and I really hope it’s not disappointing. The other arcs were good not great in the sense that they could’ve been developed a bit more since some parts seemed rushed or underwhelming.

Starting off with Lucy, I think there is a lot that could be done with her. While there were some parts where she was displayed well such as the Star dress mix or her battles during Selene’s arc, I think that she should have the spotlight at some point. She is often used for fan service and I don’t really have a care for that but it undermines her intelligence and soft hearted personality. For instance, in the original series we have seen her come up with great ideas such as closing the eclipse gate, sacrificing Aquarius, and using fairy sphere. And not to forget, she was also the one to figure out where Mavis’ grave was located during Tenrou island arc. I don’t really recall any memorable aspects of the 100 YQ that can even hold a candle to these from the original manga.

Therefore, I truly believe she’s in a need to showcase her abilities especially her intellect way more. Perhaps a mini arc for her reunion with Aquarius (via finding her key) or some interaction with Ignia. I have wondered why 100 YQ has been accomplished in over a century and of course Agnologia has some part in creating fear but is that truly all there is too it’s incompletion? I am hoping for something a bit more complex. Maybe Lucy can figure this out. Maybe she can have a battle all on her own. She’s grown so much since the start of the entire franchise and I would love to see her fight against multiple opponents at once. No help from the others. I would also love to see more Star dress mixes or maybe a new development. She’s most definitely the strongest and most powerful celestial mage, even surpassing Anna who probably held that position for a long time.

Or she can find out more about who Ignia is. We know he’s Igneel’s biological son but what was their relationship like? How come Natsu didn’t know much about him? What are Ignia’s true intentions? What does he want with all of the mages with fire related magic abilities? I really hope the ending isn’t downplayed like the original story with END because let’s all be honest, it was so disappointing because where was the drama?! Everything that has been hyped up with showing END as this awful villain was not shown properly. I also think a connection back to Lucy’s fear of Natsu’s flames caused by Ignia would be interesting. I desperately need this to happen!

Anyway I’m getting off track but I just want Lucy to shine through her battle strategy, intelligence, and her amazing personality at least once before the end of the manga.

I know everyone’s disappointed about the development of 100 year quest but honestly I’m just glad zeref and Natsu got there brother moment like 4 times and I hope ignia gets his ass beat and becomes Natsu actual big sibling I want Natsu to end with having a big bro to look up to that’s alive

My totally REAL CANON happy brothers that somewhat mirror there caretakers and have been dormant and now trying to find there TOTALLY ACTUAL brother (it’s ignias and zerefs cats but they had to make them sleep so that they could wake up to take care of Natsu but woke up to late and now they think Natsu cat happy IS there brother so it’s like tatarus arc but cats and there not dangerous) and yes the bob cat is ignias and yes zerefs cat is named despair to be the opposite of happy THAT WAS COMPLETELY BY ACCIDENT

I’ve never drawn real ignia in my life this au is canon to me and the whole show is about siblings anyways there will be more blue excorsist content

Theory(100YQ) : Ignia IS NOT the FIRE dragon god

Getting this outta my head, this has been running on my mind for days and is likely to be true considering all the canon events in the manga so far.

Ignia IS NOT the Fire Dragon God. He’s the Sun Dragon God. The Fire Dragon God is/will be (in future) Natsu.

Dragon gods in 100yq are based off of the origins of the 7 days of week in Japanese. The Seven Luminaries.

6 have been revealed. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that we have yet to see the Sun Dragon God, and Ignia happens to be the right candidate. Why?

The tattoo on his chest grabbed my attention early on and I couldn’t make any sense of it. Now of course, it may just be a fancy tattoo though I don’t I believe it’s some kind of foreshadowing for a big reveal. The tattoo resembles a sun, which only adds to my theory.

His flames are mentioned to be the flames of noble destruction, we don’t know what that means. Not yet. In my opinion, it’s because Ignia’s powers are different from usual fire magic. Hence Natsu lost his senses consuming those flames, something really alike but also unusual to his own element.

When Sherria and Wendy fought Dimaria, a god, it was Sherria’s magic that worked. Only god slaying art worked against a god. So to defeat Ignia, they need a dragon slayer or,

A dragon god.

As in someone of his level.

Natsu is a dragon slayer but nowhere near Ignia. He injured a full powered dragon god without breaking a sweat and he’s portrayed to be at least on the same level as Acnologia. Besides the other dragon slayers, Natsu needed the power of an entire continent as well as Acnologia to be incapacitated in his dragon form to be able to defeat him.

Natsu being revealed as the Fire Dragon God would put him on the same level as Ignia.

Just My Thoughts Pt. 32

For Natsu, there isn’t much I have expectations for since he has been the main focus of the entire series. I want him to have a good fight with Ignia with some tension, trauma, and loss. I want END to have some kind of return either because Natsu goes feral from seeing his friends hurt (particularly Lucy) or he consumes Ignia’s flames and goes berserk again. I really need END to come back to its fullest point with scales, claws, maybe horns and wings. The actual design fell short to me compared to all the fanart and that really disappointed me. There were many fanart with tattoo-like designs and the color schemes were so good! I really thought Dragon Cry was a hint to what Natsu would look like but that obviously wasn’t the case. There also has to be some consequences on Lucy for rewriting a demonic book that was written by the Black Wizard. As much as I like Lucy I felt like she shouldn’t have been okay just because of Gray’s devil slaying magic. There was so much potential to this that I felt like was ignored to stay on the safe side of things. Imagine the pain of saving your best friend and willing to sacrifice yourself in the process?! It could’ve been a wonderful plot!! Natsu should also have some kind of backlash after being rewritten. The book was essentially his lifeline. I want to know more about it.

I desperately need another arc like Tartaros because it was peak. It had everything and considering how Ignia is Natsu’s half brother (with Igneel as their father) I need them to have some kind of interaction that’s not a battle. I need Natsu to realize something that’s either emotionally painful or have to make a choice between two things he’s not willing to sacrifice. Of course it doesn’t need to be these since it’s just my suggestions but I need trauma in the story with major loss.

Speaking of brothers, I need more Zeref content (maybe Mavis as well). I really like how Natsu has started to accept him as family which is really nice. Maybe he can go back into the in between at some point to have another life changing experience or just to converse with Zeref. Maybe more on their life before Natsu’s initial death. What were their parents like or even just their life? On the side note, I would love to know more on Mavis and Zeref’s afterlife with their children and just their relationship in general.

One thing I do need to have no matter what is Natsu and Lucy’s relationship becoming canon. It’s been long enough and we need to see their grow as adults who have mutual romantic interest in each other. Natsu can’t keep playing dumb at this point it’s getting slightly repetitive and annoying. His advancement as a character has gone downhill in the 100 YQ (I’m still upset about the pee joke regarding Lucy’s burn). So I need his redemption at least with Lucy and his feelings for her.
