“i was thinking you could come for dinner, maybe?” you casually asked, glancing at frank. he offered to come with you to the supermarket, you two were walking side by side. “tonight?” he turned to look at you.

“well, yeah? i mean, if you’re free,” you cleared your throat, looking for maxine’s favourite cereals. “that’s fine with me, but you’re sure?” he smirked, noticing you were getting nervous. “i just… max is good and smart, but sometimes she’s too much curious, i don’t want her to make you feel embarrassed or anything,” you shrugged, finally meeting his eyes.

“dad, can you help me chose?” max rushed into the kitchen, showing you a pair of scrunchies. you turned towards her and you picked the blue one. “that matches your outfit more,” you smiled and then helped her with her hair.

“thank you!” she run out of the kitchen to go back into he room, so you finished setting the table. you wanted everything to be perfect, you even put on a shirt. “just breathe,” you whispered to yourself, closing your eyes for a second.

you heard the doorbell and were about to go and open the door when max rushed to open it before you. “i got it, daddy!” she said and opened the door, a bit taken aback when she found herself in front of frank’s tall figure. you were right behind her, taking a deep breath.

“hi, frank,” you smiled at him and put a hand on max’s shoulder. “maxine, this is frank… frank this is maxine,” you introduced them and nervously waited for max’s reaction.

“nice to meet you, maxine,” frank smiled at her, then glanced at you for a moment. “friends call me max,” she said, crossing her arms. “are you a friend from work?” she asked quickly. “not exactly,” frank chuckled.

you gently pushed max aside, so frank could walk inside. you closed the door and noticed max was quietly analysing frank appearance.

“i got a bottle of wine,” frank said, showing you the bottle in his hands. “oh, right… thank you,” you smiled and took it from him, walking towards the table.

they followed you and max kept glancing at frank, who tried to not make her notice he was aware of her staring at him.

“you guys can sit, i’ll be right back with the food,” you quickly entered the kitchen and filled the three plates with the pasta.

once you were sitting down, you started eating. frank cleared his throat, glancing at max who decided to sit right in front of him.

“how old are you?” your face quickly turned to max, she was waiting for frank to respond before continuing eating her food. “thirty seven,” he said and kept eating peacefully. “i’m seven,” she told him, confidently. “your dad said so,” frank chuckled, noticing max was a bit surprised. “he said things about me??” max turned to you and you nodded.

“yep, told me you’re a curious little girl and that you like to play guitar, is that true?” max nodded, resuming eating. she was probably trying to get an impression of frank.

“dad bought me one last christmas,” she smiled, more relaxed. “i play it too,” frank replied, max’s face lit up and started talking about guitar lessons and all.

you simply watched them, enjoying the interaction. you were glad max was getting along with frank, you were a bit worried about her finding it strange that he was invited out of nowhere and not really trusting him.

“the food was amazing,” frank was helping you clean the dishes. “i was about to order the pizza, because i thought the pasta was bad,” you confessed, feeling your face heat up. “i doubt it,” frank smiled before kissing you, surprising you.

you kissed him back, trying not to wet his t-shirt with your hands. he playfully sucked on your lower lip before gently biting it, making you laugh.

“can we watch a movie now?” max’s voice startled you, you almost dropped a plate. you parted from frank, embarrassed, and met max’s face. she was standing there with one of her dvd in hand.

“baby, i don’t know if frank–” he interrupted you. “sure, i’d be happy to watch something with you,” he smiled at her. “yuppie!” she ran into the living room to get everything ready.

“now, castle… are you enjoying my daughter’s company more than mine?” you asked, faking offence. “maybe?” he laughed before kissing you again. “i’m so happy she accepted you, yeah? asking to watch a movie together is a great sign,” you confessed, before kissing frank’s face.

“i’m happy you wanted me to meet her,” he muttered and seeing him smile so much made your heart swell. you quickly finished the dishes, then reached the living room and sat on the couch to watch the movie together.

maxine was focused on the disney movie, you and frank got easily distracted by each other and he tried to play with your hair multiple times. max was sitting between you two so you couldn’t protest without disturbing her.

you gave in and after a while decided to take his hand into yours, sitting more comfortably to keep holding it for the rest of the movie.

near the movie’s ending, frank noticed max fell asleep against his side, while her legs were resting on your thighs.

“oh, i’m sorry,” you apologised and gently moved and took max into your arms. “about what?” frank chuckled lowly, watching you. “she fell asleep on you,” you whispered and started walking towards her room. “i go get her to bed,” you said.

frank decided to turn off the tv and put away the dvd, while waiting for you to come back.

“daddy,” max called before you could close her door. “yes?” you turned quickly, worried. “i like frank… can we invite him again tomorrow?” she asked with a sleepy face, her eyes half closed. “o-of course, baby. have a goodnight,” you smiled happily, you gave her one last glance and closed the door.

you reached frank and noticed he was waiting by the main door. you hugged him and hid your face against his chest. “god, i’m so glad,” you said, sighing deeply. “i’m frank,” he smirked and caressed your back slowly.

“i mean, i’m glad she likes you,” you met his eyes and smiled widely, noticing he was smiling too.

“she wants you to come again for dinner, so things were smoother than expected,” you explained and he nodded. “well, i already love her so i’ll happily come again,” he said and your heart probably exploded at his confession. “i love you,” you said before kissing him, circling his neck with your arms while frank put his hands on your hips, kissing you back.

hihi omg im so happy i found someone that also watches kumovi bc its like my favorie show ever now i dont need to annoy my friends anymore RAH i js hope this isnt a situation where you like it in a chill way and i like it in a deranged way 😔 basically i was super obsessed with na granici first and also wanted to watch kumovi but i saw that its pretty long and didnt have time for the commitment but then they removed na granici for some reason so i started watching and holy shitt i love it so much ive spent like approximately 2 hours on the wikipedia page and the theme song was in my top 10 on spotify wrapped this year i know it by heart heehee...i actually saw vedran mlikota in real life back in summer but nobody believed me when i said it was him and like a month after i told my grandpa and he said yeah that was him. and i LOST MY SHIT!?!?;$ UM ANYWAYS *almost everyone* in the gotovac fam is my favorite i loove janko and lara theyre so sibling goals and lara is the funniest ever and ofc aljoša THE BETTER BROTHER :3 vesna is kinda annoying to me idk... i dont like her HOWEVER i love her character she was written really well,, my fav side characters are milica and marko their friendship is everything to me im glad theyre not really romantical towards each other :heart_hands: best friends for real..,,.,

HELLO I AM ALSO DERANGED FOR KUMOVI I ALWAYS ANNOY MY FRIENDS WITH IT i actually started watching during the 2nd season so whenever a character from s1 one appears i have to ask my mom who it is because she's watched both season i actually dont know why i started watching it i just sat down with my mom one night and i havent stopped watching it since I ALWAYS ANALYSE THE EPISODE WITH MY MOM AFTER WATCHTING IT janko is a good boyfriend but he is a literal copy of vesna it's actually scary how they managed to create parallels between them AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON ALJOSA. hes legitimately sooo hot and arguably the better brother. i like šima but (spoilers?) she's gen getting on my nerves lately stipan is only trying to help her but she's not used to having a father so she's all like >:( nE mOžEš mI gOvOrIt šTo dA rAdIm!1! and stipan is such a great character but he's a horrible father and great grandfather he would literally make sure his kids don't succeed in life if he doesn't like what they're doing (spoilers?) i agree abt that with milica and marko šank but his mother is literally the worst she's so insane she's literally trying to pull them apart and i'm p sure zvone is going through a mid-life (not sure if that counts as mid) crisis MARTIN IS SUCH A SWEET FATHER (jel novatv bh uopce dosla do toga??? valjda je matija jos trudna idk)

started black sails, mostly through s1. thoughts so far:

i LOVEEE characters who are definitely morally terrible and you know it and they know it and the narrative knows it but theyre fascinating to watch. im talking abt flint. that man sucks so bad but i love watching his scenes and dynamics.

that ^ would apply to miss guthrie (i forgot her first name) too but i hate her too much for that. consistently wish she was off my screen xoxo

oh my god im so glad the fucking beach camp plot with max is overrrrr. i already zoomed on her as a fave and ik from others she has great plots or characterization or themes later and im v excited for that and im very glad this bs is over

BILLYYYYYY NOOO what the fuck is going on he cant be dead yet can he??? also maybe im misreading but both billy and morley (?i think. i dont have everyones names yet lol) both dying technically offscreen in accidents while isolated with flint after its known they have reservations abt his leadership.... flint did you fucking do this....

honestly i dont give a shit abt mrs barlow or whatev i forgot her name but unexpectedly the priest seduction sideplot is kinda fun and hot. idk why.

i did not expect this to be a sorta game of thrones spartacus vikings etc type tv show but i am kinda vibing actually surprisingly.

i like that one dude (??? guy with weird sideburns) and anne bonny's whole Thing but i'd like both of them a helluva lot more if 1) he had had ANY reservations or morals abt the whole max situation and 2) if anne bonny had not immediately spurned max after getting her freedom bc hi what the fuck shes been thru enough what is ur fucking damage??? i thought u cared ???

i thought silver would have way more of role so far tbh i thought he'd be like the ProtagTM but so far hes kinda not passing the sexy lamp test. boyfailure? legend? idk but its funny and surprising

i want vain or vane or whatever the fuck his name is to die in a fire. unfortunately hes also kinda interesting onscreen. but i hope he dies brutally later heart emoji

wanna know where the mr. scott plot is gonna go... i thought his convo w the kidnapped woman in the ship hold was v interesting and ik from other ppl this show somewhat goes into discussion of the transatlantic slave trade (some handled badly and some well afaik?) and im curious if shes gonna be a recurring character now or if hes gonna be a pirate bc i assume he cant go back to nassau so like whats going on now??

veryyyy curious abt how this show is gonna end its seasons and do season finales.... i hope theres drama. may update this post w my thoughts after i finish s1 in fact

tng night SIGH number four. tonight's eps were uhhh [checks] "lonely among us" and "justice." verdict: idk, i kept getting bored and looking at my phone

"lonely among us" was about a little electric thing that kept hopping bodies. this was initially kind of fun, if stupid, because it seemed SO OBVIOUS that crusher should report missing time right away and she just didn't lol

i do like that deanna finally got something to do (hypnotizing them) but it just made me remember that in tos they werent allowed to do that and this hypnotism could have been an email (vulcan mind meld). i'll get there. i just miss him.

the aliens who wanted to eat live animals were like. unfunny. especially when menacing tasha yar. idk, she always looks incredibly tense and it's starting to make me feel bad for her. she seems to hate everything. poor ms whoever is playing her

data's bit with the sherlock pipe was kinda cringe but i love him anyway. i was VERY mad when picard told him to knock it off. you're stopping him from stimming!!! leave him alone!!! also, in the next episode, he got onto him about babbling and watching data shut down in response was SOOO sad jail for picard for ONE THOUSAND YEARS im glad his ass apologized

unfortunately during the middle of the pipe thing is when i found out about the loz movie via destiel meme (ep was boring i was looking at my phone sorry) so i ruined the best part of the episode for myself

i am coming to understand that generally speaking data is the best part of any given tng episode <3

there was a moment in this episode where wesley was once again right and told to buzz off. in the next episode he does something stupid and they spend the entire time defending him. i DONT understand why it always has to be like this. i don't even dislike wesley, i just dislike the way the other characters are written is reponse to him. he's like the theo teenwolf of tng (dont get me started)

big moment in this ep was the potential mutiny. once again it's too early for this shit. i wanted some episodes where they explore planets and fight some guys (like the ferengi ep!) before we did anything deep. i bet if this happened in like seasons 3-5 i'd be beside myself about it the way i was when it almost happened in tos. but i don't like some of these guys yet, let alone care deeply about them (except data, who is my best friend).

next ep: The Sex Planet. once again, it is inappropriate to be having children on a starship, but it is especially inappropriate to send your fifteen year old """honorary""" """""ensign"""""" down to a planet that you don't know anything about except how they LOVE to fuck. the greeting party literally didn't even know what to do with him if they couldn't feel him up. he had to explain in 1987 hays code that he was a fucking virgin. maybe some research besides "they love to fuck here" would have helped with this situation but also "let's not send the 15yo to the brothel planet" would be a good line of thought too???

anyway he breaks the law has to die and theyre twisting themselves into knots over the prime directive and the setup was ACTUALLY almost interesting except they just beamed away with him in the end without finding a third option, which they could have done like 20 minutes in. also, if theyre trying not to break the prime directive, why are they allowed to tell the aliens they're from space and beam one aboard their ship? like, i actually love ethical questions posed by the prime directive, so this episode is cool on paper, but the execution flopped

oh i nearly forgot worf was bragging about his prowess in bed and how he was too much for weak human partners and riker looked SO intrigued which was like the funniest fucking thing. good for both of them. also it was androidphobia that they didn't let data go to that planet to get laid

anyway, as of now, i have been OFFICIALLY DITCHED. catherine maulthots has decided to let me do s1 and s2 of tng on my OWN and then show her the relevant ones so it's time to watch this shit on 2x speed until i hit the good parts

Hello! I am coming to you with Christmas/reveal update: So first of, Merry Christmas, i hope you had a lovely day. And second: yesterday my day started with my brother waking up probably the whole neighborhood by blasting Christmas music and then he immediately forced me to open presents. His “bad present” to me btw was my own candle that was already half used. So that made me fell a bit better about his present. Let’s get to the thing we all care about, btw i was so fucking nervous, it’s actually ridiculous even though I knew he wouldn’t freak out. Anyway: he opened his present and saw the shirt and he started laughing so much and was like ‘oh fuck i can’t wait to wear this to my check up on Wednesday’ and then he found the note… and he stared at it and then looked at me, looked at the note, looked back at me and went ‘isnt that the site that banned porn?’ Out of all things i thought he’d say, that one wasn’t even near the list. And i was like ‘yeah, im sorry. Originally i just wanted to tell the person how you started watching it and how she kinda had something to do with it and then it just kind of…blew up and other people wanted to hear your thoughts’ and he looked at me surprised and went ‘people…as in plural..*looks at me almost a bit scared* so like…do they hate my thoughts and me oooorrr would we be friends if we met?’ And then i told him that to my knowledge, he was liked and the look on his face was priceless ngl. And then he went ‘show me the blog’ and i had your blog already pulled up all the way down to the first ever message (which holy shit..i almost feel bad for all the spam, bless your heart for putting up with me) and he spent hours going through them. I’m talking every answer/comment/post.. and when he finished he went ‘damn…i was going through it. I’m so glad I matured since then. But im happy they didn’t witness my season 1 reactions’ (he has not matured. He is still the same minus all the meds. During s1 he threw a bag of candy at the tv when Craig showed up..) after that he told on me to our parents and he started that conversation by saying ‘merry Christmas, hey guess what? I’m famous!’ I got in trouble a LITTLE bit BUT he did defend it with ‘no no guys, you dont get it. I’m famous! To like 5 people but that’s still a lot of people!’ He also called our uncle and was like ‘you made bets on me being gay cause of Brian? That’s messed up bro.’ He spent the entire day going through the messages multiple times and told his friends about it.

And then today he wanted me to send you guys a message in his name and i wanted to die inside. His only order was to type everything he says. So my apologies in advance, he proof read this entire message and still wanted to send it as it was. So without further ado, here’s a message from the man himself:

Should I start with hello or sup? Hi everyone, how are you guys? Hope Christmas didn’t suck for you. Yesterday i found out about this blog and my partial participation in it. So hello, first of all I gotta say: Jinx is fucking cool so I already like the person who runs the blog. Make sure you let them know that. And ask what their favorite drag race moment with Jinx was? Okay, second of all: that photo meme someone made with Kevin Hart being Bri Bri was the best fucking thing I’ve seen in a while, it made me laugh so much. I sent it to all my friends to show them, hope that’s okay. Anyway now to the important shit: I am very happy that I was able to entertain you people throughout the last few months even if it was without my knowledge. I am also 100% very fucking confused about it. I actually thought my reactions were pretty fucking normal and that mom and dad were being dramatic but now being able to go back and see them…i would lie and say it was the meds but my sister clearly provided some other stories so I can’t even lie that I’m usually normal. Whatever. But i am happy to learn that I am not the only one when it comes to being in love with Blondie and Brian. Or the real life versions of them. Although there’s not a lot of them in any behind the scenes stuff or even interviews or photos and my sister told me that that hasn’t changed even now, so what the fuck is up with that? I was ready to reactivate my instagram to keep up with them, only to learn that I got better chance seeing Jesus come back to life than to see them post a fucking photo especially Gale. Kinda fucked up and rude but whatever, I’ll live. I think. Probably not.

Anyway, glad to know we had similar feelings about some stuff and that I’m not alone in thinking Mike and Ben are fucking boring. Felt good to be understood. And I’m happy to know that without my knowledge I was accepted into your little club. I read every answer to my sisters messages and even some, is it comments? Well I read those little notes too and some of them made me laugh and you guys all sound pretty fucking dope. I mean someone all the way from fucking Europe kept up with me? I am so sorry to that person but also that’s so cool.

And I want to say thanks for the well wishes! I saw that at the beginning there were some replies wishing me fast recovery and all that shit, so thanks for that! That’s very sweet of them especially since they don’t know me. Let them know i find out on Wednesday if I can go home next week and that i might get my cast removed. Okay, now i leave them with my farewell message: You guys are cool, thanks for making me a member of the club. I appreciate that a lot. I’ve gotten to see her live twice - her and Dela’s holiday show in 2019 (I think - or it was 2018) and her most recent one-person show. I am SO EXCITED TO SEE HER IN DOCTOR WHO.

putting the rest of my skam thoughts under the cut cause i have so many

im now 100% sure i originally stopped watching s4 after episode 5 LOL which was kinda real of me cause this season was umm a mess

i do believe s1 and s3 are masterpieces. s2 and s4 on the other hand have…some issues

still haven’t reached a verdict on s2 and now it’s been a while since i finished it and so all i will say is that my feelings r still complicated

that being said vilde’s kinda an icon for saying “what if william’s a psychopath who killed noora”

why is yousef going to turkey.

i think yousef not being muslim is a really good plotline i just wish it had been given a proper amount of focus. because i dont want sana to compromise her beliefs obviously. but at the same time im sitting here thinking as a muslim i love islam but i dont agree with lots about it and i dont think that makes you a bad person necessarily. but i do think yousef goes to turkey and regains his faith and converts back for sana ❤️ because they are true love ❤️

having finished all of s4 i think that i am…glad i finally watched it all? there were a lot of good parts about this season but even if the end of episode 8-episode 10 made me satisfied when i reflect on what happened before that i get so irritated.

i really love episode 10, but if it was going to happen this way then all the other episodes should have been far more focused on sana. for me rather than wrapping things up episode 10 instead emphasizes that there’s way more story to tell here and that there should have been 6 seasons…but whatever…

i think this season did a lot of good & what im most glad about is that it avoided the whole western stereotype about muslim parents & sana’s family was great. if we could cut out half the noora stuff, develop sana and yousef further, GIVE YOUSEF SCREENTIME, give jamila more screentime also, pick up the dropped storylines about elias, have the girl squad actually interact (and have sana interact with chris and eva and vilde not just noora…she and noora are obviously close but why tf are there like no scenes of sana talking with the others alone), have the balloon squad and even properly talk, have even explain things, have sana and even interacting, remove half the annoying russ bus stuff, remove that terrible terrible sara plotline, and follow through on the ideas present in the first 4 episodes of the show. then. this could have been a really great season. as it is i have my criticisms but i did cry and i do love them. sana <3

I know, i know 😭 (30% anon here). It's not that i think the idea is absurd at all, like you listed so many good things!! I'm just trying to actively lower my own expectations because i'm the type who gets really invested and then consequently really disappointed (though i guess since this is tumblr most of us are that type lmao). I'm just used to shows not following through with subtext, and i'm not only talking about gay subtext, but all different kinds of plots. I hear you though, trust me!

Since i'm already in your inbox, i have a question: have you been around for a while? What's the history of the byler ship? Was it always popular? Did people always think there might be a serious chance or was it more of a crackship? Were there any popular theories that came true or that were completely false? Since i'm super new to the show myself i'm curious!

yeah i totally get it. my brain is just not wired to be able to have lower expectations for something that his this much evidence for. im either 100% confident in something in a show or i have absolutely no idea whats gonna happen lmao.

i only started being active in this fandom a few months ago but ive shipped byler and followed lots of byler blogs for years. people started shipping byler after s2 came out. i didnt see anything about it during s1 because they literally had two scenes together and there was almost nothing really to work with. but when i watched s2 when it first came out i distinctly remember thinking “….is anybody else seeing this?? am i crazy orrr?” and then i went on here and found a small fandom of people who shipped them too so i was like “ok cool nice”. at this point it was mostly gifsets of their scenes together and maybe some edits and we hadnt established whether we were gonna spell it byeler or byler yet lmao. then i found @kaypeace21 and she was the first person i saw ever actually analyze it and really start to believe that everything might be intentional.

before i followed her, i never even considered that they might actually go through with byler. i think that was the case for most people during s2. i shipped it in the same way i currently ship ronance and steveddie. i thought they were cute and had good chemistry but i never believed it would go anywhere because of mlvn and also just the doubt that an insanely popular 80s scifi show would put their main characters in a gay relationship. i still loved reading kaypeace’s analyses but i wasnt convinced yet. then s3 came out and that changed everything for me and a lot of other people.

i watched s3 the day it came out hoping for some crumbs of byler but again, not at all expecting anything evident of them actually going through with it. it was kinda just in the back of my mind bc i love this show mostly for the supernatural plot. but during their fight scene when mike said “its not my fault you dont like girls” i was shocked. that convinced me that at least will would have a crush on mike but i still wasnt sure about mike until that painfully awkward kiss on the last episode. it wasnt until a few months later i rewatched that season and went back to kaypeace and found SO many things that i missed!! mike not letting el touch him when they kissed, the drastic tone and aesthetic difference between the break up and the byler fight, the frame of mike perfectly in a closet when they kissed!! i was completely sold then and so were a lot of people. i also think it was around this time that finn liked some byler art that had the quote “im not gonna fall in love” on it so that made a lot of people like 👀.

then everything the cast and duffers have said leading up to volume one only increased my confidence. i went into volume one completely expecting more obvious queer coding and i was right to. i was already overly confident but the biggest thing from volume one that made me more confident wasnt even a byler scene, it was mike and el’s fight. im glad they had her explicitly call him out for not saying he loves her. they kinda had to spell it out for the general audience. that was a really good scene and the fact that they played eulogy over it!!!?? insane. i lost my mind when i watched that episode a second time and realized that. that is 10000% intentional and the only explanation could be that that fight was the death of their relationship.

anywho yeah ive shipped them almost since the beginning and its been so fun slowly realizing that theyre actually going to do this and watching it build up and seeing the general audience start to catch on. it added a whole other layer to a show that already would have been my favorite either way just because of the plot alone.

RIP Worth It

First off, I want to give a shout out to all the friends I’ve made along the way, you know who you are. I started this side blog during the peak of Worth It and the fandom, in 2017. And it was a much needed hobby for me to plug in to.

I had just finished grad school, I had moved for an internship and I was alone and far from friends and family. I was getting over a major heartbreak too. I came back to my small apartment to my laptop to work on gifs for the fandom, chat with friends, or read fanfic (still some of the most quality fics I’ve read). I started my mornings before work watching Worth It in chronological order. I am so so grateful for this show and how it got me through my loneliness. So thank you Worth It fandom and thank you Andrew, Steven, and Adam and the rest of the Worth It team.

violetta season two: final thoughts

hiiiiiii. so. season two is over huh. damn. what the hell!!!! this feels like the end of an era. i started s2 in march and finished just the other day which...i think doesn't reflect well enough just how much i think this is technically the best season of the show. the plotlines are powerful, the characters go through real growth and are interesting, and it's actually unpredictable! there are plot twists, people! so. lets go through it like we did the first time: storylines, characters, ships, songs. you ready? i sure am(n't)

storylines

alright, so, let's get this out of the way: this season's villains are easily among the most multifaceted characters of the series. there is no "big baddie", in my opinion everything feels very real. the conflicts are human and the choices the characters make (not all the characters but we'll get there) feel grounded and sensical to their development. so much so that when you take these season's new villains (diego, esmeralda) and compare them to the regular s1 ones (ludmila, jade) you definitely feel that...you're watching a show that is growing up with its audience, you know? like you KNOW how much i love my girls but there's a tone shift there that is hard not to notice. despite all the new cast introductions and just how much we are working with, the season never feels particularly stuffy, and for one reason or another i found myself enjoying most of the plotlines. my glaring, impossible to ignore issue was with the jeremias storyline. it completely ruined that middle of the season and i didn't feel the desire to continue watching as much because of it. fortunately i stuck through it once and i can do it again, still...mid-season 2 is not exactly my favourite. despite this, first and last 15-20 episodes? i love them sm. the first ones bc the campiness of s1 gradually shifts into something else (and im not here saying s2 isn't campy but, you get me) and it has some absolutely stellar episodes in my opinion (the sleepover? fran's birthday???? though i think that's further than first 20 but we'll let it slide). and the last ones just bc i love the conclusions this season has for the characters: gregorio and diego, violetta and struggling to find her love for music again, ludmila and the weight of her actions starting to weigh down on her...it's (you guessed it!) a lot for my little heart!!!

(just bc i want to mention it, the racism plotlines were really not it though. the Chinese restaurant was in no way, shape or form influential to the plot so completely unnecessary stereotypes. and well, we all know why the esmeralda/german wedding was edited so. awful awful awful, but still, we should acknowledge it exists as much as it sucks. yikes.)

characters

last time i didnt properly introduce this, but i think with such a big ensemble we should divide the characters into three categories: hall of fame (my besties, my best friends, the yassiests), hall of shame (disappear off the face of the earth immediately or face my wrath rn), and in memoriam (one time thing, but we love you anyway). characters i don't mention are just the ones i have nothing to say about.

onto the hall of fame!

vilu stays a likeable and real main character once more. like im sorry i do not get the s1-2 vilu hate she is literally the main character???? like do you want the plot to just stay stale forever??? of course she's gonna make questionable choices! what are we even talking about. but my baby goes through SO MUCH this season, from angie to german to diego one right after the other like it was getting capital b Bad for my capital b Bestie there and im so so glad she found herself again in the end. her growth is so admirable, so much so that then s3 happens and everyone's like ???? but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

i have previously mentioned how i thought fran didn't get to shine properly in s1 due to a certain annoying whiny pissbaby nobody misses, but HELLO????? s2 opens the door for a much funnier, smarter and, let's face it, better character. i LOVE fran, she's one of my favourite characters! she gets her boytoy this season and it's what she deserves!!! and i love the fact that she canonically gets recognition from people around her for her voice because. HELLO. HER VOICE. ma'am i am completely head over heels for you. my Italian sister i ALWAYS said that

cami stays in this section. no need to explain why. i am so mad she gets so screwed over in the love department, but she is so so funny and the traffic light book was so 😭😭😭 when i stop and think about it realistically, i am probably personality-wise the most like cami, so i love to see that unhinged chaos...makes me feel represented yknow. well. i mean.

if we're talking chaos. let's open up this discussion. is ludmila ok? do we as a society need to create a trust fund to get this girl to therapy? probably. does she remain the most entertaining, off-the-rails, pathetic little bitch of the series? like why are you even asking me that. i said it in my s1 post, ill say it here: you can't like violetta as a show and not like ludmila. unfortunately she gets shot directly into your DNA and you cannot possibly escape from her. no matter how much you try. NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU TRY. i need this girl's confidence. i need her mentality in life cause this girl is always so sure she is the smartest in the room and it cannot be further from the truth and im sorry it is SO SO funny help. s3 is a rollercoaster for her so i am glad she's getting some rest rn. she'll need it.

speaking of characters you can't not like, naty remains my skrunkly ever. my babygirl. my little baby. i love her in ways the human mind will never understand. i want her to destroy me. she's in her emancipation era and i am cheering from the sidelines. she is MY hero. she is MY queen. she gave me the finest jealousy plotline she could. she gave me that damn drums scene and...lord have mercy on my soul. the best. THE best

leon, you, my man, are a powerful bitch. you are THAT bitch and you know it. iconic, spectacular, not ever been done before. he is the bi representation we always deserved. he is currently raising all of your standards and doing it flawlessly. nothing else to say. stay totally mental for us

and diego complements that perfectly. he is the insufferable bitch to leon’s irritability and he is unstoppable and he is a menace to society and i hate him and he is a lot but like. he is OUR trash raccoon yknow. like he is the worst but we collectively decided to leave food out the door so he doesn’t have to keep ravaging our bins. you get what i mean.

marco is here everyone clap!!!! pathetic meow meow!! this boy is wonderful he is corny as all hell but he is so sweet. and i love him dearly. i love this for us as a society we needed a marco i think.

angie…now i’m going to say something controversial yet brave cause you KNOW i love angie so so much…but i think she should’ve stayed in france THERE I SAID IT. i’ll come back to this when i get to it in s3 but i really don’t like how after a while her plot is only exclusively jeremias/german related. with the decision to leave her life behind (and with that the toxic mindset that was keeping her trapped) the fact that she comes back in s3 and goes down THAT route again...is just very sad to me. i think she should've maybe come back for a few episodes in s3, slay the house down and put german in his place as she always does, and then keep living her best life in France.

jade has done NOTHING WRONG EVER. NOTHING WRONG EVER!!!!!! SAY IT WITH ME NOTHING. WRONG. EVER. good, let's move on.

gregorio gets the most memorable arc in the shape of a mid-life crisis that culminates in somehow becoming the best dad in the series. and we love to see it! my absolute beloved and once again, rodrigo pereira gives his most and i can only watch in awe. i don't trust people who don't like gregorio it has to be said.

parodi i am so sorry. i am so so sorry. you have no idea how sorry i am. i guess it happens to the best of us.

antonio is as always the only sane man in a world of crazy people. iirc at a certain point someone tells him (maybe dufre but im not sure) that he should open a whole new studio with new teachers and he's like. ABSOLUTELY NOT THIS IS MY CIRCUS!!! antonio my absolute beloved i am treasuring all the time I've got left with you because i love you so so much

and to no one's surprise, my favourite stays and will stay my queen, my legend, my moment, miss lena vidal. everyone clap for lena. she gets her 3-4 fun little episodes, brings the house down with her vocals, reads EVERYONE to filth and just leaves again. the MVP. THE MVP!!!!!

lara, you were just a cool little mechanic. got swept up in probably the messiest couple drama of buenos aires and we respect you so much for leaving we really do, you deserve the world. esmeralda, MY GOD WHAT A SMART AND LAYERED CHARACTER. i am unapologetically in love with you. you were not campy enough to survive the season i fear. still waiting for your epic revenge plan against the lafontaines, i would love to see it. i so so wish we had an update on you- i wish you and your messy iPad kid the best. and jackie...you did not deserve s2 pablo i am so sorry. in the end, you probably only wanted the best for your uncle. were you still unnecessarily mean at times? yeah but i mean, you looked hot during it so. ok but for real i don't like how they just get rid of her character because they clearly had no idea what to do with her anymore, and she gets to be the "crazy girlfriend" when she had every right to be doubtful of pablo's relationship with angie!!!! jackie i see you i understand you and i love you. we'll meet again some sunny day but PLEASE stop doing that weird jump dance move it haunts my nightmares i swear. ana, every day i remember you're not a fever dream i have to stop and think about it. you, YOU are the undisputed chaos god.

ships

let's as always start with canon (as in happened during the season), and then non-canon (it was real TO ME).

leonetta remain as always THE canon ship for me. as much as i can not enjoy or care for side ships and endgames, leonetta always always set the standard and my god......the lengths these two will go to for each other is impressive yall. impressive. they're everything. and once again, im enjoying them before s3 comes and destroys them again.

also dieletta is there! it's a ship i enjoy exactly with what it is: it has its sweet moments but...diego was the antagonist of the season. that was the whole point. they have an interesting run and they ARE cute but the way they break it off it's pretty much impossible for me to imagine them ever working together in a romantic environment again. am i explaining myself correctly? probably not. whatever, you get it.

on the note of enjoying a ship for what it is, leonara had a good run too. i felt even more with my rewatch that lara knows that leon's heart is never truly in it, though, and that makes me feel so sad for her. she truly deserves better - not in the sense that leon wasn't a good boyfriend for her, simply because she doesn't deserve to be plunged in the middle of the messiest exes to lovers plotline ever.

marcesca i enjoy even only because fran gets someone GOOD who loves her and her only. but they're cute too so i actually enjoy them a lot. HE LEARNED ITALIAN FOR HER. HE FLEW TO MADRID FOR HER. omg their HUGSSSSS. you two will always have a special place in my heart.

fuck it, i'll say it: late brodmila s2 rights!!! those last few episodes with their over-the-top antics, from the "let's pretend we don't know each other" act to the trials (?????) to them just finally accepting how they're so different but similar at the same time??? AND THAT HUG AT THE END???? im not ready to talk about it actually its a lot. i found myself liking cami/seba in this rewatch, too, but the way they conclude that storyline absolutely sucks and though i do not enjoy s3 brodmila in my head i pretend everything is alright at the moment. once again, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

naxi are once again really cute! good for them happy for them! i won't go too much into it just cause i don't wanna start anything, but i don't really like their back and forth at the end of the season and how maxi goes from trusting to not trusting her one ep to the other. still. good for them happy for them.

fedemila are also really cute! i think i realised my problem with them is just that i don't like nor care for fede as a character very much 😭 he does a lot and is SO nice and supportive and we thank him for his service but idk. i tried really hard this time around but i still am completely neutral about him. sorry to this man. thank you for giving us the binary star metaphors though, that was absolutely epic of you. ludmila was READY right there in the fish tank i still find that so funny

and hey. let me mourn caxi for a second. i am the self proclaimed number one caxi enjoyer and i like to live in my little bubble of whatifs. they were something don't you think so. roaring twenties tossing pennies in the pool. and if my wishes came true.........it would've been caxi endgame OR AT LEAST A BETTER STORYLINE. DO IT PROPERLY OR DONT DO IT AT ALL!!!!!

german and matias ships deserve absolutely no rights and thus i won't speak about them. on the same note, pablo/jackie too. im sorry, she deserved better.

onto the non-canon and hey, i know what you're here for.

s2 is referred as THE franletta season and damn it you are all so right for that. the babygirls. the besties. they love each other so, so much. the Italy storyline was A LOT. fran couldn't bear thinking of her life without vilu AND VILU DID EVERYTHING TO KEEP FRAN WITH HER AND FRAN CAME TO HER FIRST WHEN SHE KNEW SHE WAS STAYING!!!!! they're wonderful. they're magical. they're perfect and they're holding hands rn

oh, have to mention: fran/ana? i am intrigued. i would like to see it. the vision has opened itself to me and i am visioning it. we shall see.

cadmila gave me a lot this season and i have to thank them anyway cause they're always on my mind for one reason or another but shh. let's all pretend they hate each other and didn't make out on stage during 2x80 si es por amor (which we very conveniently didn't get to see. hmm.)

shoutout to the biest couple ever dieleon. OHO, BISEXUALITY WON INDEED. it's about the touches, the nods, the tension, the stares, and no one told you to get that close to each other yknow. but that's your thing you do you kings.

jadangie have little to no interaction this season but hey, if us jadangie truthers had to go off of canon interactions only we would be nowhere right now. however, shoutout to the greats of this season! jadesmeralda (who i love love love and think of constantly) and angie/jackie (hard to keep in mind that they're not canonically exes). and also, because i thoroughly enjoy jade stealing the toxic men in her life's women, jarodi. it was good for me as a jade enjoyer this season.

songs

i must've said it a million times by now but it begs repeating: season 2 is, UNDOUBTEDLY, the best season music-wise. i LOVE these songs to bits. not even close. but let me illustrate this in a tier list because my feelings are many and my braincells are few. (please not that even the ones i put at the bottom i still love lol yes the season is that good)

in conclusion: season two is one hell of a season. i knew i was gonna have my fun with it and aside from a couple of issues i definitely did. and i hope you had your fun too following along! just to put things in perspective, i have around 580 posts tagged for s1 and nearly 1k for s2 💀 and oh my friends, my friends...imagine how s3 will be for me. im looking forward to it in the way that im going to be completely insane over it, and i mean it. COMPLETELY.

nhie season 3 thoughts

aneesa has screamed bi vibes since her appearance but im so glad they actually made it canon! I wasn't expecting that. I'm glad they decided to scrap her and fabiola though, it was turning out to be kind of a meh ship and it felt like anessa just latched onto the nearest person for emotional support after her terrible rs with ben. also fab didn't seem to be into anessa as much as she was into her :( PLEASE GIVE ANESSA A LOVING GF IN SEASON 4!!!! my girl deserves sm better :( though i will say that it's kind of annoying they had all that "omg who's going to make the first move" tension that eventually led to nothing... it felt so half-hearted

eleanor and trent actually work together stupidly well. I love them your honour <333

fabiola's romantic storyline with eve has never interested me much i felt like it was the blandest thing i have ever watched.... glad they broke up and never mentioned eve again 💀💀💀 i really hope they don't redo that whole storyline with addison i think fab deserves more layers and nuance to her romantic relationships. also the fact that we got to see devi and eleanor lose their virginity on screen (at least the start of the scene) but fab's was just an offhand remark like "oh yeah we just did it offscreen"??? cmon.

rhyah is a terrible but unfortunately realistic character. perfect representation of people who will smile to your face and secretly thank god that they're not suffering your misfortunes. shoutout to the actress for doing such a great job I actually wanted to punch her in the face

paxton continues to steal my heart. I just wish they gave him a more concrete goal or desire other than him being a "kind and nice" person. (and tbh based on all the ghosting of the girls he had sex with wasn't even like. an EXCEPTIONALLY nice and kind person. so.)

I think the daxton breakup was handled the way it should be - the problem with the relationship was there from the start, it's that devi only sees paxton as this unattainable dream that signifies her ascending into popularity or whatever and doesn't like him as an actual person other than for his looks.

also i think it's hilarious how haley appears for like one episode to become best friends with paxton again to make devi jealous then completely disappears for the rest of the show

I don't understand why rhyah introduced des as someone who was bullied a lot and sad and lonely when it's clearly established later on that he's in the popular clique and does have friends??? There doesn't seem to be any logical reason other than for the writers to pull that "he's actually hot" twist on us... and man did not mention sea slugs ONCE

i seriously love nalini so so much.... I have a special spot in my heart for characters who act all tough but are actually soft inside. speaking of ben i go back and forth on him a lot because he's honestly really douchey at times and the way he treated anessa while they were together was just.... not it. but honestly the last scene where devi gave ben the one free boink card is going to live in my head forever. the way they didn't need to say a single word??? the way it should have been cringe but wasn't??? the way they smile at each other and slipped in???? WOW.

also the irony/character development of ben calling devi an "unfuckable nerd" in s1 to him quite possibly being her first in s3 is not lost on me

you are singlehandedly convincing me to watch house too like i remember watching bits of it with people and thinking huh there's something with house and wilson but i wasn't that bothered to watch it myself and now because of you im like hmmm should i. so. should i?

HILSON IS SO REAL AND ALSO INCREDIBLE. but housemd has . many. many flaws. i enjoyed it very much but i picked it up from s4 (i watched s1-3 a little over a year ago) and i think at s4 there is a notable improvement with the cast.

fuck cameron my least favorite. never a good moment with her and she is THERE the entire time in the first few seasons!!!

i really really enjoyed being able to Understand hilson for one of the great queerbaits it is. even tho theyre canon. to me. LIKE!! i see posts about destiel and spn a lot and i sort of get it. but ive only watched scattered eps of spn so i dont really get it. i didnt experience it like a lot of people have.

i DID. just get to experience hilson. and i get it. and i really enjoy getting it. it felt great to partake in even without really being into the fandom IT WAS SUPER FUN TO GO INSANE OVER!! i enjoy many of the characters and i had a tonnn of fun watching :3 my fave was s6 bc i love all the main cast then . i also really enjoy when the cases get more insane it’s a lot of fun

theres a lot of good in house md! im glad i watched it! but theres a lot that sucks also and saying it starts to get good s4 makes me feel like a one piece fan . but it gets good s4.

it has MANY. homophobic and transphobic and just. terrible moments. many people despise house as a person and i understand that hes an acquired taste. if you do not personally enjoy his character it will be very hard to enjoy the show. but when it hits. it hits!

maybe watch a few eps 2 see if it hits for u :-)

i'm still in shock. i was coming into this ep with loss of hope and someone they put the best parts of this show into it. god.. even i had a sense of fulfillment by the end. im here for youngwoo and her journey and we got to see her about to start a new chapter. full time! i hope att jung stays but just balances his work/life better cus he doesn't have much to prove anymore as he did before. i wonder if youngwoo's the only one with a renewed contract tho but i like this team so i hope not. the talk with junho was so 😭😭😭 im so happy idk i'll take it. it came out with less plotholes than i thought?? maybe ceo han changed her mind bc her goal was to not have her as minister (also minister for what i still dont know) but she stepped down on her own and maybe she sees she doesnt have to risk youngwoo for that (but also i dont like that she was willing to use youngwoo like that) but youngwoo's little brother 🥺 what a good kid. so cute when he calls her noona 🥺 idk.. im just very happy they didnt ruin s1. that could've been the end of the show and id be satisfied. but now im even more excited for s2. i really adore these characters.

hello anon! I just wrote a long post about all the things that felt off for me in the finale because so much was still left unsolved or unsaid or simply was given a shortcut so that there could be a happy ending but I won't rewrite everything here because honestly I think it was a good ending based on all the things they'd messed up to get there not really as an ending itself (does that make sense) and because you're right they somehow found back the tone that we loved from earlier episodes (which is hugely in part because we were fully on youngwoo's side rather than watching her suffer from afar with her scenes cut) so it did give me faith again for season 2. I'm glad she's happy with her new position she deserves all the things that makes her happy (and as for myeongseok she also clearly wants him back at hanbada too they make such a great team! but I do hope he finds a better balance)

I think the weird thing about ceo han just sort of giving up (for now) is that we still don't know why she was so against tae sumi?? (and since she's a lawyer tae sumi was a candidate to be minister of justice!)

and I would love to know if youngwoo's still in touch with her half brother. one of the things I wanted for season 2 was to see youngwoo be a mentor to another lawyer but I'd love to see her navigate being a sibling as well especially since they so easily understood each other very well and she immediately was protective of him (and he clearly needs better acquaintances than the ones he was hanging out with lol)

I just hope they can actually make season 2 happen now, I know it's going to be hard to get everyone together but a lot still needs to be resolved and it'd be a shame for this show to not actually get to wrap everything and for youngwoo's journey to be cut short when there's still so much more to see!

Yes, I had a specific episode when I fell in love with SPN. I'll give you a brief back story:

About 7 years ago, my friend talked me into watching it on Netflix. The show was actually in s11 and I thought it was a huge commitment to watch a series THAT long. I wasn't very impressed with season 1. I liked Sam and Dean, but the monsters and stories were kinda silly. There were maybe 4 or 5 episodes of S1 I enjoyed. I told her it wasn't really my thing, and she told me to give it to the end of season 2 and if I still wanted to stop, we could.

I agreed and about midway through S2 I started getting more interested. The acting was better, the stories were better but it wasn't till All Hell Breaks Loose that I fell head over heels in love!

Sam dying was a complete shock, I really didn't think the show would go there since it obviously still had Sam! Dean's reaction to Sam's death just tore me apart! I couldn't believe someone could love someone enough to sell their soul for a mere extra year with them! I became 100% hooked on Sam and Dean's relationship and couldn't (still can't) get enough of it!

From that point on, I have been ride-or-die Supernatural!

i just watched ep 41 and got literal chills again ugh, probably one of the best eps of the season because it offers so much even beyond the crazy good bey battle we get between free and sisco and lui and drum

the ep starts of with sisco scaring the asahi brothers into stop wasting their time fighting lol my first thought was that damn thats so in sisco's character he says the right shit without holding back lol, but looks like im proven wrong later on in the ep lol

then its drum and lui discussing their tactics for the battle! these two get along well and i think we all enjoy it coz its kinda unexpected? lui like this angry short stack lmao while drum's this wholesome cinnamon roll but i realise what brings them together is the intense way they deal things related to blading HAHA like please lui for real sent a heli after drum and brought him back to the his island JUST to ask him to team up LOL that was too much for me. my personal favourite was when lui squatted down to talk to drum lol like please would the?? shirasagijo?? lui?? squat down to talk to anyone? nah man i dont see it. but its really these little details throughout the show that shows us glimpses of how the legends that we use to follow so fervently in the previous season have changed and grown, just found it rlly sweet.

and then comes sisco and free talking while they ride the lift to go to the stadium. sisco opens first with saying "that was kinda out of character for me" which had me thinking wait isn't it actually like you?? but then i realised that i think evo sisco wouldn't even have bothered to talk to the asahi brothers, and he was actually helping them out in his own way, which was really cute haha. then he goes on to say that he didn't expect them to grow so much and that he was looking forward to battling them. when he asks free whether he felt the same free just went "hmm maybe, maybe not" (ISTG THIS CLOWN🤡🤡) and sisco laughed and went "acting all cool as per usual eh" UGH so nostalgic i can't take it

AND THEN the actual epic battle comes and the animation was great, they really know when to do it right. the way lui and free use the same lines against each other gave me chills man i'm really happy they explored their rivalry from evo more in sparking, from pairing them up together in the legend festival and stating that they were a legendary pair up, to making them face off against each other now, all their moments really delivered.

i actually didn't remember who had won this one and to me i realised it doesn't really sit well with me if either free or lui won, because their rivalry is so neck to neck i couldn't even imagine any of them winning. and i was right thankfully, because they knock each other out of the stadium at the same time, (they showed the audience watching with anticipation in slo-mo right before the beys touch the floor simultaneously, i was literally at the edge of my seat ahhh) with satan still standing after they do so, slowly coming to a stop. so glad to see sisco win after his entire arc earlier in the season.

and finally we have the lead up to the asahi brothers vs rantaro and valt (ok side note but i finally figured out why it felt so weird typing out rantaro i realised no one uses his name in the show HAHA its always kumicho, also this season is just an excuse to give us the most epic battles of all time lol i remember in the previous set of match ups when it was valt and rantaro vs lui and drum at the end it was just lui and valt facing each other which gave me deja vu of the nationals back in s1 :') but surprisingly they didn't put much emphasis on this one as compared to other legendary face offs, hmm i wonder whyy, do yall got any idea?)

OK that was way off tangent but tbh they didn't really start that battle this ep and i didn't watch 42 yet so i don't have much to say, except for how pumped rantaro was for the match, he even said that he was the most pumped amongst all of them and the bombers was like shookt about how hyped he was, sisco even called him an idiot for grinning so much LMAO (but sisco was also smilling ur ass of when u were saying that hMMmMm) can't wait to see how that battle goes because i have short term memory and forgot who won👌

anyways thats my review of sparking ep41! when i was looking through my posts around the end of last year and realised i said i would analyse this i thought nahh i probably won't be watching that ep anytime soon, so i'm really glad i did! and since this is probably my longest post(or maybe the one on rantaro that i posted recently now that i look at it, but these two are def my longest) i wanna thank yall for reading through my stuff! i'm not sure if yall like this kinda content and honestly i started this blog so i could read through my own favourite moments in bbb, because it's something that's really close to my heart, but i decided to tag it anyways since i realised we don't have content anyways, so i wanted to contribute some myself too? either way, thanks so much for sticking around!
