I've been thinking pretty much about the notes in Control game about Alan, where he's listed one of an ideal candidate for the director of Bureau. Therefore i came up with an AU where Alan becomes the director of FBC. Casey is here too because Alex became a significant part of Alan's life as a character in his books, so our writer prescribed him to work in the bureau lol

something i just realized about the sages (ignoring how frustrating to use i find the sages abilities overall) when they get their enigma stone they are like wow look at how much stronger i am now!! when its really just a ... clone of them, without the parts that make them interesting- the personality, and they "give" it to you (it doesnt feel like its really yours tho bc, unlike botw, its not intergrated into your moveset- which could have been solved by just adding them to another ability wheel- so it doesnt even feel like they are really yours) but ok i can see why its stronger even if i find it boring to just duplicate the character isntead of actually making their ability be more-

but then at the very end, they join you in the battle and .. dont even make use of it? what where the engima stones even for then? i guess you could bend over backwards and say well its bc their powers cant reach you all the way down there so they have to physical join you- BUT .. when they are right next to you .. shouldnt the connection to them be back anyway? so their clones should return shouldnt they? or is the entire arena just so surpressive of that power that it wouldnt work either way? then again ... what was its use then to get them to have those stones? like how ultra hand is supposedly the focus of the game but doesnt matter to the narrative at all?

(can you unsummon them when they are there?? i havent tried it but i dont think so ..)

like obviously it would be wayy too chaotic if all sages where there twice, especially together with all the ganondorf clones too- but it kinda .. once again... makes it feel meaningless that you even got them the stones? sure they only get to you when you do it but its really just again another check box with no substance, isnt it?

(... actually .. did anyone actually need the stones? aside from ganondorf getting that huge powerup somehow- like even the original sages and sonia and stuff, are you telling me she couldnt rewind ..................................... a tea cup, on her own? or i guess the only time sonia does anythign with her stone is when she gives its power to raurus laserbeam attack he never does again ... and the other sages arent shown to gain anything from it either?? are they?? what even would minerus ability have been bc she wasnt a -utterly useless- mech back then ... the shield she does doesnt seem unique to her either bc rauru literally does it too after sonia gets falcon-punched to death to block ganondorfs .. goo beam .... i mean i guess it doesnt matter anyway bc all we see them actually do is .. stand around and talk, sometimes "hurt" (dirty) sometimes not ... so whatever i guess?)

I think arin not making any progress could be on lloyd's fault like we haven't seen him actually train his students personally ever since s1 ended and only let them train themselves, from eps 1 to 3 he was mostly busy hiding the vision and getting sleep deprived and even during the training with egalt he only ever sugarcoat arin and not try to correct his mistake (but not the same way egalt does he's a fucking asshole /j)

I hope that's the case and arin realizing it leaving lloyd so this would make wu morro parallel haha

Now that I'm reading ORV again, I'm starting to think that maybe, the one Kim Dokja loves and hates the most isn't really Yoo Joonghyuk, but himself.

When you look again at the parallels between them, you'll see that Yoo Joonghyuk is Kim Dokja's "ideal" self. Yoo Joonghyuk even becomes his comfort character. Thing is, Kim Dokja draws a clear line between him and Yoo Joonghyuk, so even if he acknowledges that he wants to be like Yoo Joonghyuk he still believes he can't be Yoo Joonghyuk. That's why he shifts between wanting to be Yoo Joonghyuk when dealing with reality—I mean, his mantra is literally "I am Yoo Joonghyuk"—and wanting to stand beside Yoo Joonghyuk when reading TWSA.

Moreover, his relationship with Yoo Joonghyuk as the Most Ancient Dream plays a complicated parallel with his relationship with his mother. Just as his mother portrays herself as the "murderer" who killed his father, the Most Ancient Dream portrays himself as the one who "forced" Yoo Joonghyuk into an endless cycle of regression when in fact, it was Kim Dokja himself who murdered his father just as it was Yoo Joonghyuk himself who chose to enter the cycle of regression. And just like his mother who never truly answered Kim Dokja's earnest questions of why she did everything she did, the Most Ancient Dream never actually replied to any of Yoo Joonghyuk’s questions from the 1st through 1863rd regressions. Both the parent and the sponsor only "looked" at their child and their incarnation, respectively. Have u ever seen the froot loop flavored pop tarts? they are probably not the level of monstrosity that is exhibited by the other food crimes on this blog, but we saw them at our campus store and decided to try them. The filling tastes like pure, concentrated froot loop(tm) flavor mixed with lemon-scented floor cleaner. Strangely enough, my school counselor liked them, however he is a statistical outlier and should not be counted.
