Match Review: Nottingham Forest U18s 2-2 Manchester United U18s

Is it something about the East Midlands our kids dislike?

United's under-18s remain undefeated in the league but 14 wins on the bounce has just added two 2-2 draws into the mix.

The Red Devils took a 5th minute lead through forward Gabriele Biancheri (above, facing camera) with a sliding finish, and doubled their lead through a Jimmy Sinclair own goal in the 27th, but Forest immediately pulled one back thanks to the mazy dribbling of Anijsko. A jink through the defence brought Harrison away from the near post, before the winger passed across the box to Isaac Davies for an easy tap-in.

Triallist Adam Evan Berry, Forest's number 8 for the day, made a great bursting run through United's lines mid 2nd half to start a 2v1 counter. A nice pass wide left allowed Lewis-Brown to push into the box, and his scrambled effort fell into the path of Berry for the equaliser.

A late red card (second yellow) for Forest's Gpopo saw the home side drop to 10 momentarily, but even with his reckless lunge on Biancheri there was little United could do in the final few seconds.

Despite missing out on the win, United will be satisfied with their performance; positive attacking play undone by a couple of unlucky moments colliding with individual errors - things that will happen in youth football. On a different day United could have won this 5-1.

Next up is a home fixture at Carrington, hosting Middlesbrough, so hopefully United can get back to winning ways and continue the good times.

okay fun silly question because these are my favorite types of stories but what are your guys' favorite pieces of media that require the audience to go in blind? usually the synopsis is a diversion of some sort or there's just some killer plot twist that changes things (like the genre) significantly.
