I always found it strange why some people always said things like "oh yeah I'm an empath! you're aura is bad"
Um, that's not how that works.
An empath scientifically speaking is basically:
Scientists found special group of brain cells that specialize compassion. Basically an empath is just stronger brain bits that pick up other people's moods way easier. The cells allow us to mirror emotions of others we see and such. Which is why if you have a galfriend sobbing over a breakup you might feel a bit sad too. An empath would potentially also cry cause the cells are stronger. The brain is weird and makes us weird and that's what's fun about humanity.
There's different types of empaths too. They're not really "types" but more like, one person stubs their right toe and you feel it vaguely or strongly on your own toe.(this one is fucking weird. Might do more research on it and make another post about it) and another which I think I have but could be totally wrong is something called an intuitive empath. Why it's called "intuitive" I have no god damn clue but it's basically like before (brain bits) and they pick up other people's brain bits. Cause everything is ✨hormones✨ this is why some animals can "smell fear" aka they pick up chemical cues. Research doesn't say intuitive empaths smell shit but they can be like "hey what's wrong?" When the person is neutral cause they "sense" they're upset.
However some places are just "ohhh they're Physic" no. We're not phycic. We're just strong brain bits. Some more so than others. We're not some fantasy superpower.
Edit: I almost forgot. The mirror neurons brain bits is in the bit of the brain called the anterior insular cortex

There's something that always bothers me about people saying "Barbara going back to being disabled" doesn't matter if it's positive, negative, or neutral. It's the "going back" part because it's just not true. She wouldn't be going back, she would just be without assistive medical technology.
In the closest real-life example, not everyone who uses similar technology is considered "cured" as the removal of the device would mean they are no longer enabled. In only a few cases have I ever seen "cured" but that's potentially dependent on injury/cause of disability where it was possible the device just made recovery easier and there are many different causes to SCIs/paralysis/similar conditions. Others have no chance of recovery but have a chance of being enabled. But still not fully becoming an able-bodied person. Even some of the ones who recovered their ability to walk were still limited in what they were capable of (and therefore still disabled)
So honestly now, it's just coming to me how bad representation the chip is of similar realistic treatment and disabled people who use that treatment. Before anyone is like "But Barbara's isn't real" I know that, but now I'm literally seeing people say the same shit about REAL PEOPLE who have had nearly THE SAME TREATMENT because they're letting poor representation in a comic book determine how they view this course of medical treatment.
TLDR: No Barbara Gordon wouldn't "go back" to being disabled without the chip. Writers and fans aren't good at writing disability and it shows

I cannot say this with 100% certainty because I have read a very large quantity of fic, but I believe I have only read one where a (main) character got an STI, and it was syphilis in the modern era, so it was embarrassing, but treatable. And I'm not saying that this is a thing that, like, should be in fics all the time, I just had the realization and now I'm sitting with it.

From the article:
Ronnie Radke, front man of Falling In Reverse, is no stranger to online drama. However, there may be less of it involving him, at least on X/Twitter.
Earlier today we noticed that his account, @ ronnieradke, just 'doesn't exist' anymore. However, this doesn't mean that X/Twitter or Elon Musk has deleted the account due to violations, Radke himself may have and could very well deleted the account on his own.
Visiting the Falling In Reverse website also revealed that it is down but redirects you to a password url. Also of note, the band's Instagram account is gone. If that happened prior, then our bad, we never check their account out. But all that in tandem with Radke deleting his X/Twitter account may very well lead to some 'big' announcement regarding both Radke and the band.
Radke has always been very vocal online and continuously battles 'trolls' on social media, so maybe he is taking a break from it all. Who knows, but more importantly, who cares?

already seeing ppl say the rq callout is suspicious bc rq’s mistakes are probably due to incompetence and not malice... the article Literally Says it was the result of incompetence and not malice, but that rq’s growing pains should not excuse the real harm to their workers and their refusal to take accountability/acknowledge their own struggles at all?? hello... we can maintain our perspective and still criticize rq 😭 nuance please
