I know mahiru is often seen as not smart (his official stats from the guidebook give him a 2 out of 10 for tactics and I think the mental stat is more about mental stability?) and sure he's not a tactical genius like mikuni or touma (both have 10/10 in tactics) but mahiru is extremely socially/emotionally intelligent, which is an intelligence often overlooked in favour of "classic" intelligence (like being good at math or things like chess).

But unlike other characters mahiru knows when to stand his ground and when to lay low and change a person's view slowly over time.

Misono wasn't on his side in the beginning, even saying mahiru could be his servant when mahiru agreed to work with him, but mahiru quickly picked up on the fact that misono was lonely and offered to be his friend. Now misono trusts him completely and recognizes that mahiru's strength lies in gaining allies.

Shuhei openly hated vampires and treated them as things and mahiru responded by humanizing them, listing examples of vampires acting just like normal people, laying the first stone for shuhei to stop wanting to kill all vampires.

He was the one who proposed the idea that tsubaki would come to rescue lilac because tsubaki sees his subclass as family and he was right.

Neither lawless nor licht were overly impressed by him when they first met him, but by the time he asks them to rescue tsurugi especially lawless is one of his biggest supporters.

In C3 he understood that he wasn't going to be able to move if he opposed them and joined them instead, allowing him and the other eves to meet. He also correctly concluded that getting tsurugi on their side was key because he was central to C3's/touma's plans and in the end it saved his life and allowed him to stop touma.

Mahiru consistently trying to protect tsubaki's subclass might also come in handy soon. They might not like C3, but both lilac and sakuya can vouch for mahiru as a person they can trust not to kill them and to aid them in stopping tsubaki from destroying himself.

And stopping tsubaki by convincing him to stop is perfectly logical. A servamp can't be killed as far as we know. Combat only gets you so far. If C3 want to create a lasting co-existence between vampires and humans getting both sides to stop killing each other and to learn to forgive is the only way.

Trying to solve this conflict through conversation and not violence is neither shortsighted nor childish, it's the only reasonable solution.

Buck is an idiot and Eddie is having a really bad week. Like seriously, it is a really bad week, poor guy.

Buck and Eddie are bad with feelings. There's a fire in Chris' school. They are still bad at feelings but at least they are talking about it.

There's a car crash and Eddie really wishes he could wrap Buck in bubble wrap. He's definitely not letting Buck near water ever again tho.

There's tequila and a phone call. If you ask Eddie he will say it's Sophia's fault. Buck and Eddie get engaged at the end tho, so he can't really complain.

Maybe they should just agree on never leaving the house if there's a storm coming.

I can and will make my hockey obsession everyone's problem.

I don't usually post WIP's since they usually start out as late night ideas that are quickly thrown into anywhere I can save them, which usually results in my tired mind not catching embarrassing typos and mistakes. But I'm kind of loving this one so far!

Card Game 1

Simple card game. With element of random. Here works everything based on random. It is a game of random, I can say. For free time. Or fun. It is not a serious game, in any way.

It has entertainment point. You receive 4 random cards. With numbers from 1 to 9. And make a stake. And you have with the start 200 value. The same thing will make your opponent. And it is going same way until someone reach its balance as zero. Cards are generating with random.

So, what is the idea of the game. You have 4 cards. And opponent – it is computer controlled – he has also 4 cards. Cards with numbers. Every card has its own score. From 1 to 9. So, in a result, you have 4 random cards in your hands. And this way are generated the scores. So, it goes, that minimum you have scores 4 at your hands. So, this means, that every card from four cards have one score. And in total four cards. And maximum you can have 36 scores at your hands. So this means, that every card will have score 9. And in total, there are four cards in your hands. The same things are about computer player.

And with this, you also have a balance. Count it as a scores of you have for gameplay. Numbers. For saying it easy you have 200 dollars. It also uses a dollar sigh. Just because of it is a retro system. And it has built in such a sigh.

And according to your scores, that you have in your hands. You are making some stake. Any kind. Let’s say 10. Let’s say 50. Or whatever you want. The same thing computer to do. According to some logic he thinks about his scores and makes a stake too.

And next, everyone shows cards. You can see now cards of computer and his stake. Your cards and your stake. If you have more scores at your cards, than a computer player, then you will receive his stake. And his balance goes down according his stake. And reverse.

And this goes until someone will have a balance zero.

It is a game of chance. Because of all numbers on cards are generated randomly.

Game is called the simple way - Card Game 1. Without any ambition to any super idea.

Game is made in retro style and has a retro text style of decorations and control.

My first name is biblical and since my parents are Christian and my sibling also has a biblical name, I always presumed it was bc of that. My middle name though is actually a last name from my lineage

2.) When was the last time you cried?

Yesterday! It was day 2 of being home alone since my roommate left for the week and I was feeling particularly lonely since another friend wasn't able to hang out with me the last couple of days in addition to feeling isolated from family during the holiday season Plus being on my period --- yeahhh

3.) Do you have kids?

No. Nope. Nuh uh. Ask me again in 10 years

4.) What sports do you play/have played?

I did volleyball and basketball a lot in my youth, did soccer in elementary school

5.) Do you use sarcasm?

Sometimes. Mostly only with friends when we know we are being sarcastic and are playing it up? Otherwise, I'm just such a literal person I hardly use it elsewhere (even when my friends and I are joking/using sarcasm we often say "just kidding" afterwards)

6.) What’s the first thing you notice about people?

Honestly height and hair. I have such bad face blindness, and I've had it forever. But I'll remember if someone was taller/shorter than me and their hair color

Grayish blue. They were described like ice before if that helps

Depends on my mood. I like horror movies and there are just so many different kinds- I haven't found a movie that genuinely scares me in a long time though... The last one I remember was Nope. I walked out of the theater and was just watching all the clouds in the sky fkdlsajf

Nothing is really coming to mind... I guess I'm crafty? And it shows itself in different ways. I enjoy the process of creating. Be it in writing or drawing or baking and decorating or following steps- I enjoy having a vision and creating it

I read books and fanfiction, I write fanfiction, watch anime and shows, cook, bake, play genshin impact. I've been playing wordle every day for almost a year now. I like tactical stuff with instructions- like legos or putting together furniture- I got this DIY book nook last week and spent like 8 hours putting it together. In school as part of the STEM program we learned how to draft both by hand and on the computer through CAD and Solidworks- those were fun. I miss that. Again it uses that same part of the brain as legos. I also like playing with cards. I have solitaire and pinocle on my phone. I was also learning how to play chess (like the strategy part)

12.) Do you have any pets?

My family home has the cat I got my 8th birthday (barn cat, brown tabby with four white socks on his paws). In the apartment though there is my roommate's black lab, half ragdoll half Siamese cat, and who knows how many fish that keep having babies

MATH HELLO! (......... but also the drafting classes damn i miss those)

29. fav leader this is ?? so hard /?? a majority of my biases r leaders help LOL hmm as amazing as bang chan and scoups and taeyong are, i think my personal pick is DKB d1 <3 his leadership is the reason i got into DKB when he was helping lead the unit B round in peak time. it was a rare opportunity to see how he helps rookie idols who didn't know him get to feel comfortable and cared for in a high pressure survival show situation. also i love watching him choreograph their blockings for a dance and clean the group during dance practices hehe.

thinking about Megaman X Dive.

It was basically a Megaman X gacha game, the story being that the player is just playing the game one night but suddenly everything looks 3D and a robot girl starts talking to them because the games are corrupting or something.

Gameplay wise it was a megaman platforming game, jump and shot, the gacha aspect came in the form of characters (each with different skills), weapons (guns and melee weapons) and items for upgrading stuff.

Now, all of these was super standard for a gacha game, but the fact that it was a platforming game instead of something like a turn based rpg (or the closest thing to it) sort of helped it in the end, because the game got closed at some point, but they had the bright idea of releasing the game AGAIN as a single player game.

Every collectible aspect of the game was kept but gameplay was adapted, the single player stages were kept and the energy requirement to play was gone, but so were the multiplayer features. Instead of paying or doing chores for hours to get premium points for gacha rolling the game gives you items by completing stages, so need to roll is gone.

So in a way they made it into a single player and it worked because the gameplay was still rooted in classic megaman (even though stages were kind of short) and you could play as a lot of characters from the series, so there wasn't much lost from adapting a gacha game into a single player one, just new content added to it and some people really liked the game so its kind of cool that the game didn't got completely lost and people can still experience it.

i finished making this entire insane and pointless overanalysis of loki’s magic tarot cards from bayonetta 2 last night

and today i was finally able to preorder bayo 3 trinity masquerade edition

obviously these events are directly connected

#bayonetta #its horribly formatted and my analyses for the first like half sucked #and all my info on each tarot card was just snatched from wikipedia #but by god i did it #i'm pretty sure most of these don't even appear ingame #the cards loki uses to erase the eyes are: judgement the empress the emperor the world and wheel of fortune #sadly i had to use low res images because high quality versions either don't exist or hhaven't been ripped from the game and posted online #i spent like 12 hours on this for some reason #fun fact each card is actually properly numbered using a special numeral system consisting mostly of triangles #the numerals are on all the tag climax cards too #they're weird to figure out at first but once i got a grip on it it was surprisingly simple #after figuring the system out i then numbered all of the tag climax cards by memory #the only card i couldn't number was rodin #the symbols on his card don't fit the pattern of the rest #since there's 53 cards and his can't be numbered i guess he's the joker of the deck #sadly the rest of the cards aren't evenly divided into four suits of 13 so you can't just use them as playing cards without extra work

also the most absolute milquetoast complaint I saw about engage’s story having “no impact” because there’s only 919 fics for a game that came out like 3 months ago tops compared to awakening + fates having like 9k and 3H having 43k like?? yeah duh???? awakening + fates are like. a decade old and 3H has not only been out for several years now and was not only super successful but had multiple routes that really just begged for a plethora of takes and scenarios like

#It's late and I'm feeling impulsive it's fine #My subconsious offered a story-driven randomized roleplay game in a dream last night #The dream version was obviously fancier but for a rough draft it is cute as fuck #Made with two pieces of paper (I just realized I can make more cards from the scrap of one of them heeheehoohoo) #I've made the board and 12 cards as the starter pack and they're all adorable #The board is just a simple L-shaped grid with seven spaces - the dream version had something close to double that #I think making it modular/with expansions similar to card packs (lol) would make it infinitely replayable and expandable #Not that a longer game with more players would necessarily be more fun but it's still something you could do! Lol #Recommended number of players on the current model is 3+ with one of the players acting as the GM #The full version is also 3+ but with a little more wiggle room for early game - I think it could comfortably host 5+ including the GM? #Anyway the plot is a whodunit where the third player (including the GM) plays as the murderer - their goal is to get away with the murder #While the other players' goal is to find out who did it and why and then apprehend the criminal #It's not as set in stone as Clue - like there's no murder weapons or necessary locations - all that part is improv #The cards are all either Character or Location cards - Characters are easy to understand archetypes that the player has to embody #But depending on the order players draw cards determines what role they play in the story - so say they pull the Mad Scientist card #If they pull first then the Mad Scientist is the host of the party that the murder occurs at - if they pull second then the Scientist dies #And so on #So anyway I finished all the art for the Characters (9) and Locations (3) and they're all adorable I love them #I tried to make most of them gender neutral or at least open to interpretation but a couple of them lean a bit more one way #It'd be silly but the idea of special edition cards with alternate art to lessen the disappointment of getting a double sounds fun haha #Anyway - I'm gonna see if I can playtest it tomorrow :)
