You had some free time to grind or rather play genshin again, you havent been playing it as much due to the fact that you were busy with school and life itself– it was anything but pleasing. You stopped playing genshin once the Eula and Albedo rerun banners came out and somehow this shocked you, but you werent complaining. You really wanted Albedo once you started playing genshin, and having him unwillingly sit in your character screen for months on end is already enough for you to enjoy your life. BUT somethings gotta come to an end right? School was about to start and you opened Zoom right away, the class became boring so you boot up genshin to find that you were in dragonspine, weird... You lasted logged off in Inazuma? But maybe its a glitch...? Maybe.. once you touched your curser in the window of genshin, it crashed immediately. Out of shocked your tried to reload in genshin once more but it was not responding, out if your luck you waited for your classes to be done so you can fixed your device.. on the other side of your screen that you didnt knew, was albedo. When he first saw what you REALLY look like, he was shock to see such a good looking person controlling the Traveller, ever since then; he always has the goal to see you infront of him, but then he realizes that hes the only know who knew about this. When albedo tried to gather information about the real you, all the npcs were saying their coded voicelines, which made albedo realized hes the only one who is actually sentimental about this. He realized that you havent been online for much in a veryyy long time, he started to wonder if you forgot about him. Once he felt the world change he knew you were back. Albedo opened a map that was the same as yours and marked your location, he teleported by a way point you unlocked, he saw you walking around doing random things like; bunny hopping, randomly attacking, sitting around and doing nothing. He finds it strange but it was you, and he hypothesize you were bored.

So when you logged out he took this opportunity to take your character and bring them to dragonspine! It took some time but it was completly tiring, but for you? He is willing to do anything for you. Once he left like you wer logging in back again, he accidentally made your game crash for too much exploading and stuff since he was doing an experiment to go and see you.

You just started playing genshin again, and downloaded it ! Excited to play it again after MONTHS of not doing so. You had to delete genshin due to storage problems and you were sad about it but you had to do it. You noticed that you were in the kamisato estate, and since when did you have inazuma unlocked anyways? Maybe your siblings played in your account without knowing.. but that didnt matter! You already watch the inazuma archin quest on youtube, so you already know whats going on. You went to your map and saw that you already have the whole inazuma nation unlocked when you were dead, kinda surprising but you werent questioning it as much. You deicded to roam around the kamisato estate until, You found Ayaka and Ayato talking, well it was more like they were just standing there. You just took out your camera and took a picture then left, i dont think you were supposed to go there right now. So you ran out of there.

In the corner of Ayato's eye; he saw you, well mostly the Traveller not literally you though. When you were gone, he decided to do your commissions and other necessities that you do! He even bought you this thing called "Welking" he didnt knew what it was but he faintly heard you talking to someone about having welling every once and a while so he granted those wishes. He will grant you anything for you to see you smile or be happy, seeing you sad made his whole life crumble into pieces of glass, but of course he wishes that didnt happen. For the past months that you've been gone, he decided to make a plan about meeting you; but he doesnt have a clue. Every once and a while he sees you literally going out of existence, he always wonder how but maybe once he meets you he'll know!

I have to start off by saying that i don't really know of many unfortunatly. I got professionally diagnosed as a kid and have been in pretty intensive treatment since then. To be perfectly clear, I didn't really like. talk abt and accept my diagnois until a little later. The period that I got my inital diagnosis (as a severe major depressive with psychotic symptoms) is almost completly blacked out in my memory aside from a few specific weeks so to say the least, i was hazy on the whole thing, didn't have access to my medical records and to be totally honest, my current diagnosises aren't a perfect fit according to my therapist so like. i didnt really have a period of 'learning' about it, more just. living with it for my whole life and eventually having language for what i was experiencing, and accepting that language with time.

I really wish I had some readings to share with you or something, but i still feel new to this myself. Not new to having psychosis, ive had it since i was a kid. But new to really exploring it as part of myself and allowing myself to speak about it openly. What's been the biggest help to me has been speaking to other psychotic people. I was in a situation, theraputic school, where i was able to easily meet other people experiencing psychosis, but its pretty hard to find people open about it irl unless you happen to be in mental health treatment that works with groups of people. People online work too of course, and are a bit easier to find but its often a different experience. Living with a highly stigmatized disability is really frustrating, but talking to other people living with it has been a really good way to explore my feelings about it.

so, where do we start?

assimilation, what is it?

assimilation is a deliberate effort made by a minority/ marginalized group to (instead of become free) join the majority/privledged, which is wildly more accesible ta abled nuerotypical cis white lgb folks.

now, how does that apply ta th queer community? before that, we hafta look at th stark distinction between th LGBT community and th QUEER community.

because sadly its now different

imma make this as short as possible but basically,

despite its intentions when it was formed decades ago, th LGBT communiy an th way it functions is percieved is different. case in point, th term LGBT has been heavily gentrified and commodified especially by corporations tryina sell it to non-lgbt audiences. youll notice a majority of LGBT voices an advocates are usually white cis lgb ppls or are assimilationists. th term LGBT aswell has been heavily diluted and decontexualized from its roots, such as fightin for rights wit riots an demonstrations, bein heavily tied wit black an indigenous liberation, socialist ideals and memorializing th struggle for our freedom. its also (as apart of its gentrification) is bein forced ta be more 'family friendly' in an effort of control an ta make cash off of us an further assimilate us.

the QUEER community is a somewhat niche nowadays as it sticks fairly close ta th original goals as th LGBT community once had. such as wantin an willin ta fight for liberation rather than succumb ta assimilation. its also seen as a threat as it directly challenges th authority (capitlism, cops/military, goverment, white supremacy, fascism) for its mistreatment an oppresion against queer ppl and other marginalized groups. if th LGBT community is th privledged assimilations that can be proffited off of, then th queer community is more alike 'outcasts' or 'rejects' that arent as palatable ta a cishet majority ie; trans women/ trans/queer ppls of colour, more radicalized queer folks, or those impoverished.

so, with that said, how has/does assimilation harm queer ppl?

as i said, assimilation is disspraportionatly accesible ta able-bodied, neurotypical, cis, non-poor white LGB ppls (shocker) meaning th majority of queer poc, trans people, impoverished, and diasbaled/neurodivergent folks get left behind and continuosly stomped on in an attempt ta eradicate us. and it should be noted theres 2 types of assimilation

1. forced assimilation; forced assimilation is where marginalized ppls thru cultural eradication/genocide r forced ta strip themselves of their identity an join th majority which results in oppresion, discrimination, an further erasure of th ppls themselves. this is heavily seen within th queer community wit th AIDS crisis where those who survived were later branded as 'brave' by th very system that sought their demise in th first place, leavin our community in shambles.

2. chosen assimilation; chosen assimilation is where usually a small group/ or a singular person will disregard their people in an a attempt ta be spared from oppresion or discrimination. in terms of queer ppl (especially trans folks) th main contendors r blair white, kalvin garrah, an buck angel. blair is a stellar example of attempted assimilation. she not only rejetcs, but constantly puts her own people on blast publicly ta her audince of white cishet conservatives an (more often than not) fascists. not only that but she deliberatly associates wit th very ppl who seek her erasure an oppresion in an assbackwards attempt at salvation. more concrete examples include 1. showin herself as 'one of th good ones' or 'normal' 2. acting as if shes cishet 3. constantly self-hating ta appease those mentioned above 4. spewing dangerous an misinormed rhetoric aimed at trans ppls which directly affects trans poc an non-passing trans women. next, kalvin garrah. i was gonna write a whole thing on him but instead ill (below) link copshatemoe's videos about him.

transmedicalism is a belif system of sorts that follows ideals such as

beliving trans ppls must be suffering from dysphoria to be trans

a trans person must want to transition to be trans

being trans is a mental illness/ neurological condition/ birth defect cause by unbalanced horomone levels or th existence of "male and female brains"

belivies HRT or surgerys are a 'cure' for dysphoria/ 'transness'

that neopronouns or non-lesbian, gay, bisexual, or binary trans folks are invalid or 'wannabes' who see th "lgbt community as a club of sorts to join jus because"

borderline or blatant rascist, transmysoginistic, ableist rhetoric.

intentional or not, that assimilation is key an becomin 'as close ta bein cis as possible' is th goal of transition.

now, i could spend ages rantin about how these belifs are blatently wrong but however rather than disecting them lets jus go over th direct harm these belifs have caused th trans community.

lets start wit nonbinary folks. nowadays as ive seen transmedicalism has become more open ta acceptin nonbinary folks but regardless they were one of th first punchin bags. since bein nonbinary in any facet isnt exactly 'medically sustained' its already seen as bullshit, but past that it opens th gates for neoprounouns an non-convetional identitys. enby ppls would be attacked constantly or called "trenders" in an attempt ta discourage them from even existing. this 'highschool bully' type of mentality along wit th superiority complex behind transmedicalism created a stark divide between "normal" trans ppls an th "weirdo, faker" trans ppls. not only did these attacks further stigmatize an already oppresed minority but also forced ppl ta hide themselves from they own community ta avoid ridicule an bullying. this type of harrasment has left these ppls wit trauma an fear of they identity bein challenged not only online but also in IRL queer spaces while they already hafta stay hypervigilant around cis ppl, now it seems th same around binary trans folks. not only have nonbinary ppls have been impacted however, binary trans ppls were left wit insecurities, wonderin if they dysphoria is 'rlly that bad compared ta others' and worrying about things they usually didnt care about. probably th biggest of those is 'passing'. passing is th action of looking as cis as possible ta blend in an avoid general treatments sustained by cishet ppls. i as a transwomen was directly affected by this rhetoric which caused me years of my transition spent not becomin myself, but becomin as close ta a cis girl as possible. this lead me ta become embarresed by my own community also factored in by havin virtually no trans friends IRL. this was th shared experince of many binary trans folks an nonbinary trans folks i know an am friends with. in conclusion, transmedicalsim has not only ostrasized an traumatized queer folks, but has also left insecurities an damage ta binaty trans folks aswell.

so, with that in mind, how do we combat, well, all of this an much more?

liberation

liberation is th action of freeing a marginalized group from its oppresive chains. an how would this look/work for th queer community?

majority of cishet ppls think that queer liberation ended wit marriage equality but thats very much not true. multiple basic human freedoms have been stripped from not only cis lgb queers but also trans people aswell. rights such as affordable housing witout discrimination, medical options for trans people being completly accesible or downright free, safe spaces or areas where were able ta exist free of fear of persecution or discrimination, better healthcare treatment towards queer ppl, things sometimes neccisary ta ones transition bein more accesible such as name/document changes, and many more things. but remember, none of this is possible witout ingigenous liberation/land back, black liberation, or under capitlism

The Bear’s Famous Invasion of Sicily

Movie, 2019, Italian/French

9/10, a delightful little movie with amazing visuals. It feels like an animated picture book.

One of those “plot is in the title” media! I had never heard of this before but was heavily recommended it by my family members, who all loved it! It’s a sweet story, nothing groundbreaking but the unique colorful visual style alone makes it worth it.

The Castle of Cagliostro

Movie, 1979, Japanese

10/10. Reminded me of all the books i loved reading as a child

I assume its because it’s so old and the art style and themes are so different that it gets little to no love compared to other Ghibli movies, which is a shame! It’s fun with an endearing cast and as always, great animation and music

Mushishi

Series, 2006, Japanese

10/10 three episodes in I knew it was going to be my favorite series ever

One of the few things I’ve seen I’ll describe as life-changing. It’s absolutely lovely but never toots its own horn about it. Humble, calming, emotional and surprisingly mature. It’s pretty impossible to binge due to how intense the experience is. I just want to walk in the forest now...

6/10 Dissapointing adaptation of a classic story

I read the manga for this when I was in middle school and remembered loving it. The animated version does an ok job of presenting the characters and worldbuilding and has some nice action scenes but overall looks really damn cheap and just. Not very good. Seeing I already knew most of the plot I did not have the element of discovery that made me marvel so much reading the original. It’s still a nice series but I really recommend reading it instead.

Code Lyoko (s1+2)

3/10. 1.5 being for the opening song alone

This show sucks ass if I hadn’t been watching this with my bestie I would have dropped it two episodes in. The art style is ugly the stories are always the same and the first season has a (later removed thank fucking god) LITERAL “erase any consequences” button as a plot device in every episode. If you watch it for one thing let it be the nostalgia factor of early 00s Vidya Game Plot

The Legend of Hei

Movie, 2019, Chinese

7/10. Impressive visuals and a poor story

I finally watched this, peer pressured by the load of gifsets on my dashboard! It’s a sweet movie with really impressive animation, sometimes a bit too flashy for my taste (the action sequences go so ham they become not very readable...) but the story was just ok? The setting is barely explained and you are instead bombarded with vague epicspeech about powers and stuff that made me fondly remember Kingdom Hearts lol but that asides it’s a really good time! I need to watch more Chinese movies the few I know are just delightfully off the shits in how they approach action and I love that

Hunter x Hunter

Series, 1999, Japanese

9/10. Superior to the recent one!

I first got introduced to the series via the 2011 one. Comparatively, the 99 series focuses way less on action and way more on the characters, which I love because that fits my personal preferences! Despite mediocre filler episodes and some weird slight pointless plot changes, what it changes from the original manga doesn’t have much of an impact on the characters. The animation quality isn’t always consistent including a huge art style change for an arc (???) but it’s overall pretty nice. The series really shines in the last arc it adapts.

Oban Star-racers

Series, 2006, Japanese/french

9/10 a lovely surprise

This series is completly obscure despite having been created by people famous for their other series (Cowboy Bebop, Code Lyoko that i can name) and it’s a crime! It’s a kids show but without being stupid about it who tells the story of an inter-planetary race. If you liked that one scene in the star wars prequels you know what I mean. It’s got surprisingly nice animation for a TV series, and some truly great character design. The art style is a bit unique in a not for everyone sense, but I didn’t mind it much. It’s also THE most offensively 2000s series i’ve seen in terms of visuals. y2k kids assemble

8/10. Classic fairytale format with incredible visuals

Watched this for the art style because I know it inspired Samurai Jack, and it delievered! I dont’ have much to say about this one, it’s a very simply film but it’s sweet. For my pirates out there if you want to find it in good quality with english subtitles it’s VERY hard to find. If you just want to see the looks of it, it’s on Youtube with portugese subs.

10/10. Underrated as hell

Watched this fully blind for the first time in an animated festival and rewatched it with friends. It’s a crime I never see anyone talking about it given the amount of whining I see about the lack of both adult animation and 2D movies? This film is a unique love letter to art in the form of a weird mix of charming crime story and psychological horror with amazing visuals. I recommend watching it blind and also buying it to show appreciation for how nice it is!!! WATCH THIS MOVIE...

10/10 Visual/storytelling masterpiece in the weird shit departement

If you can stomach intense stuff watch this. The visuals are incredibly unique and beautiful and under the jewel tones and art direction high takes it’s a really cool horror series. My only obstacle to enjoying it the first time I saw it was how dense it is - simply put, it’s so...culturally Japanese it’s not very accessible to me who doesn’t know anything about the culture? Watching it for the second time helped understanding the stories more!

9/10 but really close to ten. A great adaptation!

I’m a huge fan of the original comic so I entered this a biiiittttt suspicious it would suck but it was a really pleasant surprise! It has all the wonder and charm of the original and the animation was surprisingly good for the little budget. If you’re not familiar with the series, it’s a sort of geopolitical action/adventure movie but with it’s own really poetic vibe to it. It’s almost impossible to find online but happens to be fully on YouTube so go ham I guess?

Every review of this movie i’ve seen gives it five stars and starts by talking about how immensly stupid it is. I’m no different. It’s a masterpiece of escalating energy with the depth of a puddle and it fucking rules. It’s free on YouTube too so there really is no excuse to not watch it. Watched it for the first time on a huge cinema screen and despite this my second rewatch on my small laptop was as/even more enjoyable. Sinbad is in a weird place because I love adventure stories and the visuals of the movie absolutely deliver but it’s very predictable and TANKED by the addition of the female character, pushed in your face as “look we have woman!!!” despite her writing being misogynistic as hell lol. The evil goddess rules tho. This movie would have been a solid 9 if instead of the girl the two dudes had kissed

“Go, Lycanroc! Let your crimson glare shine in the darkest night!” I said as I let my Midnight Lycanroc to go to the battlefield, smirking when I heard his fierce howl “I hope you’re ready for this, uncle. Do the first move!”

“Flame Wheel!” my uncle orderer and his Centiskorch was now covered in flames and now he was coming for my Lycanroc

Lycanroc growled and when Centiskorch hitted him, Lycanroc threw him away with the double of damage. That took my uncle by surprise, and when he saw after another Flame Wheel that I would ordered my Lycanroc use Counter with every physic attack he recieved, my uncle decided to change his strategy.

“Stone Edge!!”

My Midnight Lycanroc stopped the Fire Lash with Stone Edge, and then, he was ready for the next attack. “Dual Chop!!”

“Centiskorch, dodge!”

Centiskorch managed to dodge the first one, but not the second Dual Chop. “I’m impressed. I didn’t know that Lycanroc could learn Dragon type moves” my uncle said

“And I can show you more!” I said, smirking. I was really enjoyed the battle, ignoring that there were people streaming the battle online “Snarl!!”

“Dodge!”

This time, Centiskorch dodge it, and then, my uncle knew that it was time to show me all his power. He returned his Pokemon to the Pokeball and then, he made it giant, showing me Gigantamax Centiskorch. He told me the first days I was in Galar that Gigantamax is different of Dynamax, and now I saw it.

“You use Gigantamax...But I’ll show everyone how to beat it using this!!” I said showing my Z-Power Ring with the Lycanium Z. It started to glow as I activated its power while I performed the move. “When the full moon shows its bright face in the darkest night, your crimson glare glows as red as your bravery and courage shines as well” I said, with my Midnight Lycanroc copying the same moves as me “Splintered Stormshards!!!!”

In front of all the people, my Lycanroc performed the Z move againts Centiskorch, creating a really big dust cloud that made a lot of people cough. When the dust was gone, I saw that Centiskorch was still on his Gigantamax form. My uncle smirked before loosing his smirk when Centiskorch returned to his normal form.

“Maybe that Z move couldn’t defeat your Centiskorch, but it was strong enough to get him so exhausted that he couldn’t keep more time on his Gigantamax” I said “Now is our turn...STONE EDGE!!”

Lycanroc howled loudly as he made the attack, making Centiskorch to fly away. Then, my uncle’s Pokemon fell on the ground, out of action.

“Centiskorch is out of action. Lycanroc is the winner and the victory is for Raikichi!” Elle announced

Lycanroc ran to tacklehug me, happy, and I couldn’t help but laughed. Glaceon celebrated the victory as well. Once I got on my feet, I hugged my uncle. “That was a really good battle, kiddo” my uncle said “I really enjoyed it”

“Me too”

“Such a great battle”

We turned to see Chairman Rose approaching us with a big smile on his face. “Chairman Rose, is a pleasure to meet you at least, Raikichi” he said shaking my hand. Something in this man made me distrust him a but, but I decided to hide it to avoid problems.

“The pleasure is mine, Chairman” I replied the most gently as I could. Glaceon, at my side, glared at the Chairman, completly distrusting him “Sorry for not being able to meet you the other day”

“Your uncle informed me and I’m glad you didn’t get too much hurted” he said “I was thinking on asking you something; of course, if you want to hear my offer”

“Alright, what’s in your mind?”

“What about having a match with Leon? I’m sure...”

“Wait,wwait, before you continue, let me put things clear. If I have matches with Leon or with the Gym Leaders, it will be only an exhibition match, not something official. I came to Galar to enjoy a paceful vacation, not to be stressed with official matches are things like those.”

“I don’t like him very much, specially of how he put preassure on Leon when he became Champion” my uncle said “But better having an eye on him, right?”

I nodded and then, Glaceon twitched her ears when she heard something. She turned and then, she jumped on Piers, making him fall with his back on the ground. “Ooof!” he said and laughed when Glaceon licked his face “Okay, okay, I’m happy of seeing you too” he said and when Glaceon jumped to the ground, he stood up and blushed when he spotted me “H-Hi...”

“Hi, Piers” I said smiling and blushing “I’m glad you are here”

“I told you I would come to see your match” he said smiling “Oh, I wanted to ask if...”

But before he could continue, I found myself in the air when Raihan took me on his arms and lifted me “I can’t believe this little Champion has defeated Kabu” he laughed before putting me down when Glaceon touched his bare leg with her paw, cold air around it when she touched him “Okay, okay, don’t freeze me”

“You deserve it” I said before groaning when he put his arm around my shoulders “What do you want now, Dragon Boy?”

“Take a selfie with the winner of the match” he said “And with the Pokemon you used, of course” he got an angry growl from my Midnight Lycanroc

“I see...” I said with a sigh as I leant my back on the wall “I used to be that too...Then I travelled a bit with friends and then, I turned again to be lonely person I used to be...Being a World Champion is harder than being the Champion of a region...Sometimes, the dangers I have to handle are more than then ones a normal Champion has to handle on their region...Sometimes I think on giving up the title, but I can’t...Who will do the things I do? I don’t know anyone that would take my place and do the things I’ll do”
