isn't it wild how you can play through an entire indie game in a single day and be left with a deeper, more profound experience, story, moral or question all wrapped in a more unique and impactful art style than many triple a games nowadays. for like 8 bucks.

#indie games i love you forever #this isn't about anything in particular but #i think about gris every time the conversation centers big expensive time consuming games #i think this year was pretty solid tho! apart from stinkers like diablo 4 or starfield. but maybe the industry isn't lost #looking at bg3 or alan wake 2 getting a lot of recognition. both are still somewhat underdogs compared to the standard #but they're nominated for goty! and bg3 will probably take it. meanwhile the two opposites faded into the sidelines instantly #i need to play viewfinder cocoon and hi fi rush too (which is nominated for goty as well iirc you love to see it) #but i just love that indie approach and comparably still smaller studios are getting out there #and the indie category itself is holding its own between these and the big studio snoozefests and nintendo's circlejerk #there's still a lot to improve about game awards - a horror game category would be neat for example and generally more diversity in titles #what is forspoken why isn't anyone talking about it apart from like 5 tumblr users. also pentiment where??? #but idk. maybe it's just this one year but it looks hopeful for the future. who knows #shut up elis #the game awards 2023 #(i guess)

#Wow. Okay ♡ #I love this episode. The animation is flawless. The drawings quality is out of the world for real. #I love this episode so much I'm so grateful so much care and dedication went to this sskk centered episode. #(Refraining to talk about what 5x03 could have been) #Sorry for repeating myself but seriously the illustrations this episode are so so pretty. #I rarely appreciate how Akutagawa is drawn in the anime but when it comes with this episode I really like how he looks too. #And Atsushi that I already like a lot in the anime on average‚ this episode is just fabulous. Handsome even. #Seriously I don't know who the animators are but I want to kiss them. This art style is one I dare say I like even more than Dead Apple– #that although is obviously more detailed is just... In comparison too rough for my personal taste? #The art style for this episode is very delicate and soft and I love it tons #And the directing is just great. No weird pacing or awkward ost choice. It's neat. #The reiterated placing ss/kk on opposite sides is neat. The lightening is likeable and especially the purple scene is super pretty. #The “don't compare me to him” scene is neat. The ss/kk final scene is AMAZING. It's gorgeous and stunning and awestriking and every other– #epitome in the world. It's like the only scene I believe turned out better in the anime that it is in the manga which is saying SO MUCH. #But it's really that good!!!!! My favourite anime ss/kk scene ever. #Aaaaaahhh please let me talk about it forever it's sooo pretty and especially poignant... #The heaven-like soft yellow light and how it contrasts with the bleak stormy background. stickbug is a notorious nail biter. hes been at it for years, it annoyed haggar a lot and she tried forcing him to stop doing it multiple times(didnt work, hed stop for a while and then be at it again after some time), then later tashi was worried hed get sick or something(very little hygiene products available + putting your hands in your mouth constantly = not good) and told him to stop. it worked sort of bc he DID stop biting his nails for a bit .but instead he just started picking at his skin and biting the insides of his mouth(very little hygiene products + open wounds on you hands = NOT GOOD EITHER. IN FACT WORSE)

remember a year ago when i accidentally found and held a guy's skull and i was so shaken by it that i talked to my therapist about it and she told me trying to find out who he was and think of him as a person wasn't healthy or good

and then a couple months later recommended me a bunch of "gender resources" from the heritage foundation so i stopped going to therapy

anyway hes still Albert to me, a guy who liked science and the sea and writing letters to his sister and im admittedly still kind of fucked up about him
