caroline early on realizing that kendall belongs to his father. it’s how enthusiastic logan was once kendall was born, how he looked at him like he was his whole world, how ready he was to be a father (when he already was one) and how available he was for his son, apparently logan did have a lot of time to spend. caroline noticed the way kendall grew attached to his father early on, too. then she had roman and shiv and they felt more like her own children, logan didn’t latch on to them like he did with kendall.

caroline doesn’t get why kendall is upset, she doesn’t think he is upset really but there is a clear question about why their relationship was so sour, so lacking. caroline looks kendall in the eyes, “you were his, kendall, from the day you were born. he made sure that i knew that and you…you didn’t seem to mind it.”

#i have a few things that are quietly ticking away in the background #one of them is Twelvelms but i've ultimately decided i CANNOT run that alone #which means i need to change a lot of the planning and the budget #but it's just got to a point where i feel this immense sense of panic and overwhelm whenever i try to work on it #which SUCKS because i love that world and that story #i'll talk a bit more about that in a few months time when i have a more solid idea of next steps #it's just been really really hard lads #partly bc of having top surgery in the middle of its pre-production process #but also just because it's absolutely huge in scope #i love it so much #but i'm going to have to make some changes to my approach or i'll just completely burn out #i do not want to do that #so yeah #other things coming #IN ADDITION to #not instead of #existing stuff in the works

it's permanent scarring from Amber Lead Syndrome! in the au i want to explore stuff like disability and chronic illness, he's got nerve damage in the discolorated skin, his hair also got white patches but he dyes it to make it less obvious he's got ALS because of the everything with flevance.

im still dealing with the consequences of my accident - where i fell down five meters and was almost paralysed meaning i had to get emergency surgery on my spine but i also broke my foot which has enforced my already existing back and posture issues - leading to pain and sometimes debilitating pain. yet my doctor says there is no chance this is recognised as a disability which would mean i get special worker protection which i feel i need because im being guilt-tripped and not believed and probably soon to be fired at both my jobs because i have to call in sick every now and then due to sitting at a desk on the computer literally causing me pain. this is making me suicidal again, despite being on antidepressants. i already had health issues before the accident especially mental health so now im just super hopeless and anxious for the future

edit: i have a decent support net in my life and soon to start therapy so please dont worry about me, i just need to vent my frustration and feelings sometimes! i appreciate everyone reaching it out a lot though!

hello sewing people! im about to use stretch fabric for the first time and i would love ANY tips you have <3

in specific for my project: the fabric is very thin + very stretchy (im not sure exactly what it is but its almost like knitted tights?) and in trying to calibate my machine im finding either: none of the stitches are stretchy enough OR after stretching the seam ripples (wasnt doing it before stretching)

i do own an overlocker but that wasn't my ideal choice for sewing this all if possible so if anyone has a suggestion for fixing these issues id really appreciate it!

(or just any stretch tips! id be grateful <3)

lowkey i think the clones would not have a strong culture of like. consistent place names and the like. names to them are personal and may or may not carry significant history, but when it comes to naming places--well. they have no place. they don't settle anywhere. their history doesn't bleed into any earth and it isn't carved into any rivers or mountains. any settlement or place they name i think would be more literal since I think they'd have a more literal than conceptual language (and notice how their language is unnamed [for safety reasons]).

so their village could easily be Blue River Village because it happens to be by a blue river. It could be Settlement A until they come up with something else. It could also be 501st village. they might choose a name from their language. but place names convey as much as they do because they have the benefit of sheer time on their side--years, decades, centuries of conflicts and compromises and movements and changes from all sorts of people. but they're one people with a linear and brutally short history.
