Distracting Josh (Josh Pieters x Reader)
Waking up to a ruffling noise in the middle of the night had you on edge. Granted, you were at a festival in the middle of nowhere, but the noise was really really close. Keeping still, you slowly turned your head to see Josh pacing back and forth in the tent.
"Oh my god, you scared the shit out of me." You said, sitting up in the bunk you were sharing with your friend Grant.
"I'm sorry." He said, sitting on his bunk. "I'm struggling to stay awake." He said, his face dropping into his hands.
Josh was determined to stay up for the whole festival. He did great the first night, but you could see it wearing on him. You had already gotten about 6 hours of sleep, so you carefully got out of the bunk so that you wouldn't wake Grant. Throwing on one of Josh's hoodies, you slipped your converse on, grabbed your bag, and grabbed Josh's hand to pull him out of the tent.
"Let's go for a walk." You said, still holding Josh's hand. The two of you had met a couple of times in the past and every time you ended up flirting.
"I don't want to ruin your night." Josh said, stopping and pulling you back to him.
"Who says you're ruining it?" You asked, pulling him down the path. "Have you been vlogging enough?"
"I have tons of footage. Last night I was totally alone so I vlogged the whole thing." He answered.
Walking off the path to a small open area between loads of trees, your mind started wandering. "You know, we should play a game." You said, sitting down at the bottom of one of the massive trees.
"What game?" Josh asked, sitting down next to you.
"I don't know. I'd say truth or dare, but I don't know how much we could dare each other in the middle of nowhere." You laughed.
"Truth works." He said, smiling over at you. "You first."
"Why did you want to do another no sleep challenge?" You asked.
"I don't know. I think it's funny, more than anything. I know I won't make it, but it's fun to try." He answered.
"Always the entertainer." You laughed. "Your turn."
"Are you and Grant a thing?" He asked.
"Nope. Never have been." You answered, laughing. "Have you ever read fanfiction about yourself?"
"Oh, fuck." He said, laughing. "I have. I have very kinky subscribers, apparently."
"I don't doubt that." You replied.
"Why are you out here instead of sleeping right now?" He asked.
"A few reasons. I'll answer with...I like your company." You said, smiling up at Josh.
"A few reasons?" He pried.
"Nuh-uh. I gave my answer." You laughed. "Have you tried, you know. Taking care of yourself to wake up?" You asked.
It was dark, but you could see Josh's eyes open wide. "I um. You know. Not much privacy. And uh, I didn't actually think about that until right now."
"How?" You laughed. "We've caught Caspar wanking twice already."
Josh threw his head back laughing. "That's Caspar for you." You both sat in silence for a few minutes before Josh cleared his throat.
"Something on your mind, Pieters?" You asked, watching him fidget.
"I would use being tired as an excuse as to why my mind is stuck on this thought, but if I'm being honest I've always wondered about it." Josh said.
"And what would that be?" You asked.
"Well, you. But currently, us." He said looking down at you. "I've always liked you, but we always just stayed buddies. And then you just asked me about jerking off and my mind is spiraling to certain places awfully quickly. You can go back to the tent if you want." he said, continuing to fidget.
Putting your hand on his thigh, you looked up at him until he looked back at you. "Josh. One, I wouldn't have brought it up if I was uncomfortable talking about it." You laughed. "And two, I've always wondered...you know. About that."
Dipping down to your height, Josh kissed you. "We're outside. And I don't have anything." He said between heated kisses, making sure to keep his hands to himself.
Placing your hands on either side of his neck, you deepened the kiss. "Josh, I'm a big girl. I'm allowed to carry condoms. Plus, we're in the soft grass hidden by trees."
Breaking the kiss, Josh pulled off one of his hoodies, spreading it out in the grass. "Here." He said, laying you back on the sweatshirt. "Is this okay?"
Pulling him back into a kiss, you felt him start to explore your body with his hands. "It's perfect."
In the times you had let yourself think about what would happen if the two of you ever hooked up, you always pictured it being "in the heat of the moment" and clumsy and rushed. Josh was proving that not to be true. He was gentle and sweet and took the time to tease you and make sure you had been taken care of before he even pulled the condom out of your bag. He told you how beautiful you were and made sure you were comfortable and warm the whole time.
When you finally redressed and cuddled together under the tree, the sun was starting to come up. The two of you stayed there until right before the breakfast pavilion was opening. When Caspar and Grant found you at one of the picnic tables, Josh definitely still looked tired, but he had a smile on his face and his arm around you.
"Hey, buddy." Caspar said, sitting down across from you. "Did you stay up last night?"
"He did." you answered.
"Your camera was on your bed so we didn't know if you had crashed somewhere." Grant added, sitting down at the table.
"Nope." Josh looked down at you. "This one kept me company."
"Did you vlog any of it?" Caspar asked.
"Caspar, I don't think you can put what they got up to last night on YouTube." Grant laughed. He saw the way you were cuddled into Josh's side and the smiles on both of your faces. Your friend knew you well.

Breakdown battle vitally necessary Springbok captain Siya Kolisi
Springbok captain Siya Kolisi believes that the breakdown in going to play a significant function within the end result of their European end-of-year-tour match in opposition to Eire on the Aviva Stadium on Saturday night (kick-off 7:30pm). The Bok free trio of Kolisi, Pieter-Steph du Toit and Jasper Wiese are set to get a stern take a look at in opposition to Eire’s Peter O’Mahony, Josh van der Flier and Caelan Doris, and whoever comes out on prime may swing the sport of their sides favour. ALSO READ: Rassie stoked to be again within the teaching field for Springboks v Eire match “I feel the breakdown goes to be crucial this weekend. With the free forwards that they’ve and what they’ve performed prior to now. Their lock Tadhg Beirne and prop Andrew Porter are additionally superb on the breakdown,” defined Kolisi. “So that’s going to be necessary in them securing the ball and us attempting to gradual their ball down as a result of we all know they play plenty of phases. They don’t thoughts going by 15 plus phases, however we belief our defence, we’ve got performed it earlier than and I imagine we are going to do it once more. “So it’s all going to be about endurance within the recreation and ensuring that we’re disciplined throughout these phases. Johnny Sexton has an enormous boot, so if we give away penalties he’ll put us again in our 22m. So I feel the breakdown and our self-discipline goes to be crucial.” Modified drastically That is the primary time that each groups are enjoying one another for the reason that Boks 2017 end-of-year-tour, when Eire claimed a thumping 38-3 win over them. Nevertheless each groups and their administration have modified drastically since then, and this recreation can be extra fascinating in that they can even meet within the pool phases of subsequent 12 months’s World Cup, so will probably be fascinating to see who has the higher hand. “I feel for us this recreation is extra about gaining momentum forward of the remainder of the tour and clearly the coaches have plans on what gamers they wish to see,” stated Kolisi. “However this recreation can be necessary as a result of we are going to meet them within the World Cup. We haven’t performed them in a very long time and they’re the primary workforce on the earth. So we wish to see the place we’re and enjoying in opposition to the very best workforce on the earth in the intervening time will give us an excellent indication of that. “The end result may make an affect, with one of many groups having gone one up on the opposite a 12 months out (from the showpiece occasion). The World Cup could be very totally different once you get there, however I feel will probably be good if we will pull by this recreation.” Originally published at Irvine News HQ

Family Comfort - Jack Maynard Short
Word count: 131 Triggers: NONE Requested: NO
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Warm laces of happiness wrinkles down your spine as you watch Jack casually talk with his parents, your eyes wander his side profile. His hair recklessly placed around his ears making brunette waves to the soft blonde that welcomes your hands restlessly. With his face carved like smooth marble his movements are calculated and calm that they almost seem to be synchronized with the rhythm of his heart. His rosy cheeks sparks your heart, and as if he heard your heart he looks to you with joy and future.
You blush as you’re caught staring at the stars, “What?” you chuckle as you bundle up the blanket closer to your legs which hung over the couch.
Jack chuckles a bit, making your heart take another leap into the open blue sky.

Christmas Cuddles - Josh Pieters
Request: No
Smut: No
Requests are OPEN!
A/N: THE FIRST CHRISTMAS IMAGINE IS HERE, BITCHES. IT’S CHRISTMAS AND YOU’RE GONNA LIKE IT.
I hope you like it :)
Masterlist
Hearing the keys from the hallway, you smiled to yourself as you placed the tray on top of the coffee table. It had been snowing for hours and the only thing on your mind was staying inside with a cup of hot chocolate, watching your favourite Christmas film.
“You alright?” You asked, opening the door to see a frustrated Josh struggling with his keys.
“No.” He replied, sighing. Taking one of his bags from his hand, you closed the door behind him and followed him into the living room.
Although you and Josh were friends, there was no denying there was something more between you. Neither one of you cared to listen to the other’s dating adventures and when you did, you never bothered to hide your smile when hearing how things went wrong, more than one or two movies nights ended with you waking up with his body pressed against yours and just the sound of his voice made everything in your life make sense.
“What is all this?” He asked, looking around the room as he placed the rest of his stuff on the floor behind the couch.
“I thought we’d start Christmas a little early this year.” You explained, heading over to the coffee table and pouring Josh a mug of hot chocolate.
“You’re insane, you know that?”
“Yeah.” You said, smiling as you handed the mug to him and sat down on the couch. “Well come on then,” You instructed, grabbing the remote from the table. “the movie’s about to start.”
Three mugs of hot chocolate, four movies and two bowls of popcorn later, your legs had made their way over Josh’s as his fingers slowly drew circles on them. You still had a number of movies lined up but as the sky grew darker, you wondered if you could keep your eyes open for even just the smallest of scenes.
“Hey,” Josh spoke, lightly shaking your legs to keep you from falling asleep. “Come here.” Watching as Josh spread himself out on the couch, you switched positions so your legs were now in between his and you laid flat against his chest. “I had such a bad day today.” He explained, tightening his grip around your waist. “But this definitely made me feel better...even though it’s too early for any of this.” Letting out a laugh, you looked up at him and smiled.
“It’s never too early.” Playing with the collar of his shirt, the room fell silent as the credits rolled. The room was lit by the fairy-lights and candles and just as you reached for the remote, Josh’s hand caught yours, forcing you to look at him. Just as your eyes landed on his, the gap between your lips closed but you relaxed into the kiss immediately.
“I should have done that a long time ago.” He whispered as his lips left yours.
“Better late than never.” You said, smiling as you rested your head on his chest.

Freefall (II-ish)
Request: omg I loved your josh x poc plus size reader!! I was wondering if you could do another one where he keeps hinting that he wants to see her in his clothes but she keeps avoiding it cause she's scared they won't fit?
A/N: So as not to have to set the story up again this can be a standalone or read as a part two to Freefall. This one would be from her perspective though.
You lean your head on Josh's shoulder and feel sleep weighing on you. It had been a long day, Josh and you had celebrated your six months by going down to the beach. Boozy slushees and a scorching sun could tire out anybody and as much as you wanted to watch this movie with Josh, you couldn't stay awake for it.
"I'm actually really tired," Josh voices his thoughts just as you pick your head up to tell him the same thing.
"God me too," you yawn. "I was just about to say the same thing."
Josh turns to look at you and smiles innocently. He was such an angel, you think. He was the first guy you've ever been serious about. At first, you could hardly believe he would be into you but that night in the club he couldn't take his eyes off you. And then he actually texted you and never made you think he wasn't interested, responding moments after you did unlike guys you'd dated before. When he showed up to your dance performance and kissed you after your team had won-you were taken. You were in love with Josh Pieters.
The bad thoughts still crept in your head though. You still compared his physique to your own, his tall strangly body and your short and soft one. Or his pale complexion and orange hair and your deep complexion and H/C hair. It baffled you when you'd catch the reflection of the two of you out and about in Londonc, wonder what other people would think. But you loved him and so did your girls, they'd been there the first time he approached you. He was supportive, and kind, and always up for some fun. You loved that about him.
"Why don't you just sleep here?" Josh asks the inevitable and you panic slightly.
"I'll head home." You say. "I'm not too far anyway."
"It's so late," Josh turns so his body faces yours too. "Tomorrow's only Sunday."
"Yeah but..." You trail off. But what? But you weren't wearing anything comfortable to sleep in. But you couldn't possibly fit into his clothing-he was a slim guy! "I don't want to sleep in this and I didn't bring any clothes. I'll just go home."
"Of course you're not sleeping in that," Josh looks at your denim shorts and tie-up top like you was crazy. "Just borrow something of mine!"
"Josh-" your voice breaks off. It's not that you were embarassed of your body, by now you've learned to embrace it for the most part. But talking about not fitting into your boyfriend's clothes was getting more and more awkward. Especially since this was the third time Josh had expressed his conviction to see you in his clothes.
The first time you'd found an extra shirt in your backseat and had avoided the scenario. The other time, you faked a migraine and had gone home. This time...you felt trapped.
"You never wear my clothes-don't girlfriends love that sort of thing?" Josh says with a bemused look. He had no idea whatsoever with what was going on in your head.
"Josh," you say gently. "I don't-I'm not sure...I'll fit."
Josh's face falls and his brows furrow. "My shirts aren't skin tight Y/N. I have things that will fit you."
"I really don't think-"
"Come on," Josh gets up and holds out his hand. You hold your breath and take it. He kisses you before turning towards his room.
"Look," he holds out a handfull of his shirts once you're in front of his closet. He holds up a few of his tees that look worn in and stretchy. "Wear one of these."
You grab one at random, feeling worse. "What about bottoms?"
"Wear your pants?" Josh says it like it's the simplest solution but for you, it was bad news. You weren't even sure if his t-shirt would fit and here he was convinced you could wear them with your pants.
"I'll try it on," you say. "Because you want me to."
"Babe," Josh stops you, curling your hair behind your ear. "It's going to fit. And forget about what girlfriends want-I really want to see you in my shirt."
"Is that some sort of masculine claim-'she's my girlfriend because she's wearing my shirt?'" You tease.
"Exactly," Josh smiles warmly at you before pulling you into a hug and kissing the top of your head. "Maybe next time you can put your claim on me and I'll wear your dresses."
"That's a video your viewers would like," you laugh into his chest.
"I'll even dance in it." Josh chuckles. "Now go change."
"Alright," you say as he walks away and closes the door behind him.
You sigh and untie your shirt before dropping it on the bed. You strip down to your underpants too-may as well.
With another sigh, you slip on the t-shirt and find the worn material slip over your head, arms, and fit on your body. It was snug-even more on your hips-but it was a comfortable snug.
"Are you serious," you whisper to yourself. You glance in the mirror and a small smile reflects back. The shirt you'd grabbed at random was a white graphic tee and the colours complement your skin tone and actually match your pants.
Simply folding the bottom inwards keeps the fabric from stretching too much and it sits like a cute cropped top. And you fill the shirt in the boob deparment way better than Josh-maybe you would even steal this from him and crop it. You smile at your reflection again, you couldn't believe you could feel like a million dollars by fitting into Josh's old shirt.
"Josh," you whisper-shout into the hall. You didn't want to wake his roomate. You hear his footsteps so you back up further into the room, running your fingers in your hair for a bit of volume.
Josh's orange hair pops into the room soon after and when he looks at you his face breaks into a grin.
"I know you just put that on," he says slowly while locking the door behind him. "But I want to take it off now."
You laugh, any anxiety sliding off of you, and walk forward, meeting him halfway.

Jack Maynard-Having Fun
Requests are still open guys let me know if you have any I really enjoy writing these! Also check out my wattpad. I write things on there!
Thank you for the request I changed it a wee bit but I hope you like it!😜 This is a lot fluffier than I thought it would be😂
Jacks POV
“Okay guys I gotta go, I’m starving and my wonderful girlfriend is in the kitchen, making me dinner. See ya later MERRY VLOGMAS!” I said to my camera. “Say bye y/n.” “Bye guys merry vlogmas.” Y/n my lovely girlfriend yelled from the kitchen.
I turned off the camera and set it on the charger in my room. After that I found my way to the kitchen smelling y/f/f (your favorite food) cooking.
I stopped in the doorway just watching y/n. I love her more than anything, we’ve been dating for almost 2 years now. She was staying with Conor and I at our flat for the holidays, and she’s been cooking all day for a dinner we’re having tonight with all the boys.
Y/n’s POV
I giggle to myself after I say bye to Jacks camera, he is really excited for Christmas, lord I love that boy and I’m glad to be staying with him.
I hear the door open pulling me out of my thoughts as I stir some of the food for tonight, but I don’t here footsteps afterward so I assume Jack stopped in the doorway.
It’s been five minutes and Jack still hasn’t said anything so I speak up. “Just gonna stand there and stare all day?” I ask as I glance back to see Jack smirking.
He shifts his weight to lean on the wall instead of the doorway “Maybe I like view,” he says cockily.
I giggle as the doorbell rings. “The boys must be here early can you get the door Conor is napping.” Jack groans deeply turning me on a little, but he does it none the less. I sigh and get back to work.
Around 10 minutes later Joe comes into the kitchen. “Hey y/n I figured you’ve been in here all day cooking by yourself so I came to help since they’ll burn anything they touch.” Joe says as he points at the door, talking about Jack and Conor.
“Oh thank you Joe that’s really nice, if it’s not to much trouble can you cut the carrots?” I ask him while handing him a knife. He nods his head and starts helping.
Not long after Jack comes in and hugs me from behind. “Hey sweetie,” I giggle. He kissed my lips then proceeds to say, “Oh come on Joe really you’re making me look bad in front of my girlfriend!”
“Hey back off, least I won’t make a mess everywhere like you would,” Joe fights back jokingly and we all laugh. The doorbell rings again. I just look at Jack and he goes to get the door.
Joe chuckles from the other side of the kitchen, “You’ve got that boy whipped y/n, he is wrapped around you’re finger.” I playfully glare over at him. “Don’t give me that look, you know it’s true.”
I laugh it off as Jack and Casper walk in the door carrying food. “Here’s the turkey, you asked for and Oli is right behind us with the potato salad.”
“Thanks Caspar, Oli set that on the table please. And Joe will you check the casserole?” Caspar and Oli put the food that’s done on the table, Joe nods and checks the casserole and I go wake Conor up while Jack goes to call Mikey to see when he’s getting here with the drinks.
Jacks POV
It’s busy here and I feel bad for not even thinking about helping y/n when all the boys brought food and Mikey bringing drinks while Conor sets the table.
I’m trying to help the best I can now but I’ve never really cooked before and I don’t want y/n to get frustrated from my constant questions.
Y/n’s POV
It’s been really busy around here. When I woke Conor up I put him straight to work setting the table, Jack was trying to help with the cooking but kept messing up or asking a lot of questions, and as adorable as I thought it was I sent him out to finish the Christmas decorations I never got to so I wouldn’t be distracted.
Mikey and Josh rode together to get the drinks and as soon as they got here I put them to work. Joe helped me prepare the last bit of food and we started chatting.
“You know what y/n, I’m glad you’re here because if we didn’t have you here it wouldn’t be a big party like this, we would have just gone out clubbing. Since your here, we really have a woman to set things up and make it feel like Christmas.” He quietly chuckles and continues. “And you know you’re just like a mother ordering all of us around. You’ve got Oli and Casper cleaning the the dining room and setting out food. Conor setting the table. Mikey and Josh getting the drinks, Jack putting up Christmas decor and me helping you cook. I never thought I’d see any of these guys doing stuff like this for anyone but you’ve rounded us out.”
Joe smiled at me, when he finished. I smiled back very big and genuinely. “Thank you Joe so much for helping me with everything.” We washed our hands and I hugged him.
We all sat down with dinner finally ready and I decided to make a toast. “Before we begin eating I have a toast to make. I wanna thank all of you. Starting with Joe, thank you for showing up two hours early to help me finish cooking. Caspar thank you for taking the time to make a turkey to go with the Roast I made. Oli even though I know you just went to the store and bought it thanks for bringing the potato salad.” Oli blushed. “Conor thanks for setting the table just the way my picky self asked you to, Mikey thank you for buying the drinks, and Josh thank you for babysitting Mikey to make sure he didn’t spill them everywhere.” We all laughed and I finished my speech. “And thank you Jack, my best friend for trying to help cook and running around doing everything I asked of you, I don’t know what I would do without you. I love you.”
That was the end of my speech and I kissed Jack as they all cheered. We had a good laugh and everyone dug in.
Later on we all sat in the living room singing along to cheesy Christmas toons and Conor showing off with his lovely singing skills. I was sitting with Jack on the couch my legs draped over his with my head on his shoulder. “I’m gonna go clean up the table a little.” I whispered to Jack who nodded and kissed my lips before I got up.
After I’d taken all the leftovers and put them in containers I started washing the dishes. Shortly after that Jack came to hug my waist from behind. I dried my hands and turned around to talk to him.
“Hey, baby, need something?” I asked him still tightly holding on to me.
I looked up into his eyes and he seemed upset. He tried to hide it with a smile but I could tell he wasn’t okay. “Hey Jack what’s wrong? Don’t say nothing because I know you.”
“I don’t know I guess I just feel kinda bad for not helping you as much today. I heard you tell Joe thanks so much for everything and I just started feeling bad that you made all the boys help you and didn’t even ask me to. It made me feel useless so I tried helping you and Joe cook but I don’t really know how and you sending me out of the kitchen made me feel even worse.” He admitted.
“I feel so bad now this is all a big misunderstanding sweetie.” I tried to jump up on the counter behind me but I’m kinda short so I missed. Jack chuckled lightly and grabbed my waist to set me up there.
I pulled him in between my legs and made eye contact. “Jack what you heard me say to Joe earlier today was me thanking him for saying that he was glad I was here and said that I was the reason you guys had a real Christmas, and I asked all the boys to help me because none of them were doing anything I didn’t know it would bother you but I wanted to give you a break from all the stress of trying to make your new songs with Conor perfect.
And when you tried to help cook I loved that you were trying to help even though you didn’t know how it was adorable but I sent you out because I was getting distracted watching you. I’m so sorry I never realized that I was happy and all day and you were suffering, baby next time please say something. I’m so sorry please forgive me.”
“There is nothing to forgive. God how did I end up so lucky. I don’t deserve you. I love you so much. You didn’t do anything wrong it was just a misunderstanding as long as you were happy that’s all I need to make me happy. I love you so much. Please don’t ever leave me.”
*Waring making out beyond this scene but nothing more than that*
“Never.” I whispered and kissed him passionately. It started out slow but got increasingly faster and more intense. Jack had one hand on my cheek and the other holding my waist. I had my legs tightly wrapped around his waist and my hands on his neck, because I was still on the counter.
We continued kissing and he bit my lip and I granted him entrance. At that exact moment Conor walked in the door. “Hey guys need any help.” Jack and I pulled apart just in time for me to see Conor’s eyes widening.
“Having fun I see,” Conor said before turning around and walking out.
Jack started trying to kiss me again then moved to kissing my neck. “Jack come on if we don’t go out now they’re all gonna think we’re having a quickie.” I tried to reason. “So,” he mumbled into my neck. “Jaaaaaaaaack,” I whined. “Okay Okay,” he quite kissing me and helped me down.
When we walked back in everyone started teasing us. I ignored them and sat on Jacks lap on the couch and stayed there until after everyone left. “Now can we go have sex?” Jack asked. I giggle loudly. “Bro I’m still in the room!” Conor yelled.
Jack picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. I squealed loudly and Jack took me to his room.

So I know it’s been a long time since I published part 2, but it’s because I’ve been busy with a lot of things and only know got inspiration to write this part. Hopefully part 4 will be up soon!! :D

“I am so sorry mother, I got caught up in a conversation with a friend in his holiday home, I fell asleep and woke up this morning,” I explain to her.
“Daniel came back to us alone and told us that you had hit him, the mark on his face was very bad. Did you really hit him?” She asks as her frustration and disappointment is now obvious on her face. This is not good.
“Yes, I did hit him mother, only because he was trying to take advantage of me. It was self defense,” I answer calmly. She has to understand. She looks at me and re-adjusts her posture.
“That doesn’t seem like Daniel to me, I would like you to apologise to him tonight at dinner,” she says.
“But mother-“ I start but she interrupts.
“I don’t want to hear it, Melody, you did this to yourself, imagine what people would say about this!” She shouts then storms off. I storm off to my room.
How could she do this to me? My own mother cares more about our image towards other people than her own daughter. That hurt a lot more than heartbreak.
Suddenly, my phone goes off: A text from Jack.
The text reads: “Meet me at Midnight tonight.”
What ever could that mean? I guess I’ll have to find out later. Just thinking about seeing Daniel is making me nauseous. I really don’t want to see him ever again, but I have to because of my mother.
I pick up the book I am in the middle of at the moment for English. The book is called ‘Paper Towns’ and I am quite fascinated by it, as it is not like any other book I’ve read before. The girl in the book, Margo, disappears all of the time and the boy who has a crush on her, Quentin, goes to find her only to be turned down by her? Talk about a plot twist! I sometimes wish I could be like Margo, leave whenever I feel like it, to be confident in my decisions. Just to have a different life really. I’d like to have my own Quentin too, but I wouldn’t turn him down.
If my Quentin could come and save me from my world and take me away to a place where no one knows me, I will be happy. But right now, I’m smiling through my pain. Everyone sees the happy girl that I pretend to be and no one sees me breaking at the seams inside, cracking and falling apart. All I want is for someone to notice that before I’m completely broken and no one can put me back together.
I think one of my favorite quotes from the book is, “it’s so hard to leave until you leave, then it’s the easiest goddamn thing in the world,” it just speaks to me personally on a deep level. I’m so afraid of leaving, so afraid of giving my family a bad name. I’m afraid of everything. Once I do it, there is no going back and that scares me. What if I leave and I fail and end up with nothing?
I hear a knock at the door and look up to see the maid, Tracey, standing in the doorway, “Mrs. Lancaster Summers asked me to inform you that it is time to get ready for dinner,” she says with a small smile, which I return.
“Thank you, Tracey,” I say back and she leaves and closes the door behind her, was I really lost in thought for that long?
I walk over to my closet and look through the many dresses that I have with me. Only one sticks out to me though. It is my red Lillian mesh dress from Herve Leger. It is truly a wonderful and beautiful dress and I decide that tonight is the night to wear it. I kneel down to look at my selection of shoes in the bottom of the closet. I pick out my pair of gold studded Louboutin heels, as they’ll go perfectly with the dress.
I put the dress on and do straight to applying makeup. First the foundation, followed by concealer then blush, the eye makeup next and finishing with lipstick and lip-gloss. I look at myself in mirror, after putting my shoes on, and am pleased with how I look. I walk out of my room and down the stairs. There’s still one thing on my mind though.
Why does Jack want me to meet him?
“Daniel, it is so lovely to see you again. Melody has something that she would like to say to you,” my mother says as she gives me ‘the look’ and nudges me slightly.
“I would like to apologize for my behavior last night, it was really unacceptable and not like me at all, I hope that you can forgive me,” I say while looking at him in shame. Not because of what I did, but because of my mother making me do this. It is really embarrassing.
“It is okay Melody, I accept your apology and forgive you entirely,” he says with a smirk, it makes me want to punch him again.
As we sit down for dinner and the food starts coming out, all I can think about is Jack. The way he listened to me last night, the way he cared to move me to his bed and him sleeping on the couch. I had never been showed that sort of kindness before last night. Why can’t there be more people like Jack in the world?
While dinner is uneventful, I look around the room and spot a little girl, no older than eleven years old. She was being lectured on the importance of sitting up straight. I remember when that was me being lectured about something as simple as that. Now it’s just about finding a husband that is respectful enough that my family approves of him.
What I still don’t understand is why I can’t decide on whom I want to marry in my own time. I want to have fun while I’m young and I want to be free from everything. But I can’t as long as I am in this world having the life that I have.
I look up at everyone sitting at the table and smile, “I’m so sorry everyone but I must excuse myself for tonight, I have a lot of work to catch up on to keep my grades up at school,” I say as my parents nod with a smile and everyone else bids me a goodnight. I stand up and walk away from the table. Noticing that the time is 11:50, I smirk to myself. Just ten more minutes and I’ll know why Jack wanted to meet me.
I walk along the path back to the houses and get myself lost in thought. Upon reaching where I was staying, I see Jack sitting on the doorstep. He gets up and smiles at me widely, “Good evening, Miss,” he says as he bows and I giggle at him. He laughs along.
“Good evening, Jack. Can I ask how you knew that this is where I am staying?” I ask him in confusion.
“Well, you see, I asked around and said that you were a friend of mine in distress, it took a lot of effort and time, but I finally got the information that you are staying in this house here,” he explains as he points at the house behind him.
“Why did you want to meet me, Jack? I’ve been curious all day and need some details,” I ask again in excitement to know what his plans are.
“Well first of all, you need to change before I tell you,” he says with a smirk and I roll my eyes at him.
I walk past him to unlock and open the door, I gesture for him to follow me, which he does, and I lead him up to my room. He decides to wait outside the door to give me some privacy to change.
“What will I need to dress according to?” I ask as I open my closet and start looking through the dresses.
“Do you have anything that doesn’t look expensive and maybe not acceptable for you to wear around your people?” He asks sheepishly.
I giggle again and go to the very back of the closet where there are dresses that I’ve bought without my parents knowing. I pull out a red velvet bodycon dress and a pair of black suede cage heels. I add a black velvet choker with a pearl on it and silver diamond earrings to the outfit as well as a cropped leather jacket. I let my, now curly, hair down and leave my makeup the same before walking out of my room and looking at Jack.
His eyes widen and his jaw drops, as he looks me up and down, “Wow! I didn’t know you were allowed to own anything like that!” He exclaims in shock as a blush appears on his cheeks.
“I bought this outfit, along with others, without my parents knowing. So, where are we going?” I ask while grinning in excitement.
“Well young lady, you’ve been shielded from real fun your whole life, so I thought I would take it upon myself to show you what a real party is like.”

“What’s going on guys? It’s Conor Maynard here and I’m joined by an old friend of mine.” Conor pointed to Tom.
“Tom Holland.” Tom smiled at the camera.
“You May have heard of him, probably not. He’s not very well known.” Conor joked.
“I know, mate. I’m so lucky you’re putting me on your channel. Could be my big break.” Tom replied.
“My other friend Josh Pieters is in the other room with Toms girlfriend, the incredibly famous and lovely Y/n L/n. If you’ve seen my video where Josh, Casper and I pranked Tom with a fake interview, you already know what’s about to go down. If you don’t, Josh has an AirPod in under his headband. We’re going to be giving him things to say and he has to say them to Y/n. We’re gonna try to really freak her out. Are you ready Tom?”
“Very ready. Y/n, I love you pretty girl but you had this coming.” Tom rubbed his hands together.
“Looks like she’s in the room. Introduce yourself.” Conor instructed. “But make it uncomfortable.”
“Hi, I’m Josh but you can call me Josh.” Josh said with a blank stare. You vaguely recognized the boy interviewing you but you couldn’t pinpoint where he was from.
“Oh uh, hi Josh.” You laughed lightly. “I’m Y/n.”
“Tell her you had a pet called Y/n and something terrible happened to it.” Conor snickered.
“I had a fish called Y/n when I was younger.” Josh informed you.
“Aw, that’s sweet.” You smiled.
“Yeah. It was my best friend until my brother swallowed it alive.” He said with no emotion.
“Oh.” You replied, not knowing what else to say. You began to sense something was off. He was wearing a headband, for one, and he didn’t look like he normally wore them. Someone was up to something.
“Even more uncomfortable.” Tom ordered.
“I’m a big fan so it’s very nice to meet you.” Josh said. “A huge fan actually, if you know what I mean.” Josh gave you a wink and you swallowed thickly. It suddenly dawned on you where you knew him from. He was Josh Pieters, the YouTuber who pranked Tom. You’d seen a number of his prank videos with Casper Lee and Joe Sugg and had a feeling that this one would be no different. If he wanted to prank you, you’d give him a taste of his own medicine.
“Not that uncomfortable!” Tom said.
“Thank you, I appreciate that.” You answered, preparing to have a little fun.
“Be normal. Ask her about the Marvel making Eddie a girl.” Conor said.
“For those who don’t know, the character Eddie Brock, who later gets infected with the symbiote Venom, is a male in the comics. How do you feel about Marvel changing the role to be played by a woman after your audition?” Josh asked. You thought about your answer for a moment.
“I think it was a really dumb move, actually. I originally auditioned for the role of Anne, who’s Eddie Brocks girlfriend. I think they should’ve kept Eddie a boy since women are weak, useless creatures and I hate them all.” You answered matter-of-factly and Josh looked a little taken aback. You nodded as if it confirm your answer and Josh looked lost.
“Oh.” Josh said and leaned to the side as if he were listening to something you couldn’t hear.
“I’m kidding. I love that they made Eddie a girl. I was so excited when they called me and told me who I was playing.” You followed up. You didn’t want them to catch on too soon that you were messing with them. You had to dial it down.
“Ask about the Spider-Man/Venom relationship.” Conor told Josh.
“And me. Ask about me.” Tom added.
“If it fun getting to play Tom Holland’s on screen girlfriend as well as being his in real life girlfriend?” Josh asked you and you smirked. So Tom was behind this as well. Now was your time to really mess with them.
“Not really, if I’m honest.” You answered.
“What?” Conor laughed.
“What?” Tom deadpanned.
“Really?” Josh asked while stifling a laugh.
“It’s just, there are so many attractive men in the Marvel cast, Tom included don’t get me wrong.” You assured him. “I kinda wish they let me date one of them on screen since I already date Tom off screen.”
“Ask her who she’d want to date.” Tom demanded, watching you with hooded eyes.
“Who do you wish you were dating?” Josh asked you.
“Definitely Chris Evans.” You answered too quickly for Toms liking. “Oh, did you mean what character?”
“I’m gonna die. I’m actually going to perish.” Tom backed away from the microphone and covered his mouth with his hands.
“Keep going. Ask more about Tom.” Conor instructed.
“But you like working with Tom, right?” Josh tried to bring the conversation to a positive point.
“Again, not really.” You shrugged.
“Interesting.” Josh stated, silently begging for the boys to tell him what to say. No one was prepared for your answers.
“Ask why.” Conor said as Tom fanned himself in the background.
“Can you elaborate on that?” Josh asked.
“It’s just weird acting along side your boyfriend. I think he should leave the acting me to, honestly.” You smiled innocently, knowing Tom was somewhere freaking out.
“Do you think he’s bad?” Tom grabbed them microphone.
“Do you think he’s bad?” Josh repeated.
“Well, he’s very attractive. I’m sure that was a big factor in getting the part. But his American accent…”, you made a face, “not the best. Being from New York is such a big part of Peter Parker that I feel like Marvel should’ve gone with an American actor. No offense to Tom, of course. He’s great in all his other movies.”
“Wow.” Josh squeaked.
“She told me she loves my American accent.” Tom whispered, bewildered.
“Ask her about her favorite accent.” Conor tried to lighten the mood.
“Do you like British accents better?” Josh asked you.
“I’ll tell you what I like. Chris Hemsworth’s accent.” You gushed. “I think it’s the hottest thing ever.”
“Did you guys hear that?” Tom asked gravely.
“Hear what?” Conor asked him.
“My heart shattering.” Tom answered.
“Tom, it’s just an accent. It’s okay.” Conor assured his friend. Tom couldn’t even hear him anymore. He grabbed the microphone with a heavy hand.
“Ask her if she likes Australians better than the British.” He demanded.
“You think Australian accents are better than British accents?” Josh repeated Toms question.
“Is that even a question? Duh.” You laughed.
“I can’t breath.” Tom wheezed.
“I do like your accent, though.” You said, catching everyone off guard.
“She what?” Tom asked. “What?”
“Oh, thank you.” Josh said, beginning to panic.
“Where are you from?” You asked, leaning forward on your hands.
“South Africa.” Josh told you and you smiled brightly and you continued your plan.
“Wait, really? That’s so exciting. I’ve always wanted to go there.” You beamed.
“Since when?” Conor looked up at Tom.
“She’s never said anything about South Africa.” Tom said in confusion.
“It’s a beautiful place.” Josh agreed.
“I bet. England is so dreary.” You rolled your eyes. “Maybe you can take me to South Africa one day.”
“Maybe.” Josh nodded as he tried to send messages in Morse code by blinking rapidly at the camera. You smirked, knowing your plan was working.
“Change the subject, Josh. Before Tom dies.” Conor ordered.
“Ask her about the wallpaper.” Tom blurted.
“Why the wallpaper?” Conor asked.
“It’s the least romantic topic I could think of!” Tom exclaimed.
“So, this is some really nice wallpaper, wouldn’t you agree?” Josh changed the subject. This threw you off a little but you were determined to win this prank.
“I was just thinking that! You read my mind.” You said excitedly.
“That backfired.” Conor said as he watched Tom fall to the floor in agony.
“Your name is Josh right?” You asked coyly.
“Yes ma’am.” Josh answered.
“I love that name.” You complimented. “I always have.”
“Do you?” Josh’s mouth dried up.
“Totally. It’s so exotic.” You beamed. Toms head snapped up from the floor.
“Exotic? There is a white boy named Josh in every high school movie ever made.” Tom exclaimed. “Exotic compared to what? Toast?”
“Thank you. I like it too.” Josh said awkwardly, wishing the boys would give him something to say.
“It’s so much better than a white bread name like Tom. Who names their kid Tom? What is he, an apostle?” You laughed. “Josh is way cooler in my opinion. It’s like the name of a god or something.”
“A god?” Tom nearly screamed. “What would Josh be the god of?”
“Gingers.” Conor shrugged.
“Thank you.” Josh said and gave the camera a stern glare.
“Tell her about your quail.” Conor suggested.
“That’s perfect. She’ll think he’s a total weirdo! Great thinking Conor.” Tom patted his friend on the back.
“Not exactly my plan, but okay.” Connor nodded.
“Do you have any pets?” Josh began his segway.”
“I do. I have a dog named Tessa.” You answered. “She’s not really my dog, though. She’s Tom’s.”
“I know you’re an animal person. You must love her.” Josh smiled now that the prank was back on track.
“Honestly, I can’t stand her. She’s always sleeping in our bed with us and begging at the table. I’m this close to telling Tom to get rid of her.” You pinched your fingers together and watched Josh go pale.
“That was it. That was the thing that killed me.” Tom mumbled as he slumped in a chair.
“Talk about the quail!” Conor repeated in an effort to save Tom.
“I have a pet too. It’s a quail.” Josh told you proudly.
“A quail? How did you get a quail?” You asked with a smile.
“Well my friends and I bought a carton of quail eggs and put them in an incubator. Only one hatched but I’ve kept her as a pet.” Josh told you the infamous story. You’d seen the video he posted about it but decided to play dumb.
“You saved a quail? That’s amazing.” You gushed as if you’d never heard the story before.
“It was just a fun thing for YouTube but I’ve actually grown quite fond of her.” Josh said, beginning to enjoy the interview.
“That’s the mosh amazing story I’ve ever herad.” You swore. “You’re a hero. A real life hero.”
“Okay. He put a carton of eggs in a hot box. He’s not Mother Theresa.” Tom pouted.
“You and Tom should come over and meet her sometime.” Josh suggested.
“Good. Bring the conversation back to Tom.” Conor nodded.
“Yeah. I’m feeling better now.” Tom agreed.
“Tom doesn’t have time be there. It can just be you and I.” You said as you looked at him through your lashes. Josh looked panicked.
“Never mind.” Tom groaned, clenching his stomach.
“What’s your last name, Josh?” You asked as you twirled some hair around your finger.
“Pieters.” Josh informed you.
“Pieters? That’s so cute. I love the way it sounds. Can you imagine it with my name? Y/n Pieters.” You smiled. “Doesn’t that just sound effervescent?”
“It sounds lovely, Y/n.” Josh said, eyeing you strangely.
“Toms still dead but if he were alive right now, he’d be livid.” Conor sighed as he listened.
“I can hear it. And I am in fact livid.” Tom said from his newly claimed spot on the floor.
“You know who else’s last name sounds good on me? Osterfield.” You were pulling out all the guns now. “I think Y/n Osterfield sounds great. Don’t you agree?”
“Uhhh…” Josh feared for his life if he agreed.
“Don’t you dare agree.” Tom grumbled through the microphone.
“Say you like Y/n Holland best.” Conor suggested.
“That’s good. Say that.” Tom nodded.
“I think Y/n Holland sounds better than both of those.” Josh told you.
“You think?” You made a face. “I actually hate Toms last name. It doesn’t fit with anything. It’s too long.”
“Osterfield is longer.” Josh reminded you.
“I bet Osterfield is longer.” You said and winked at the camera. Tom caught the double meaning and started sweating profusely.
“Ask her if she plans to take my last name when we’re married.” Tom asked, fully panicking now.
“Are you gonna take his last name when you’re married?” Josh repeated.
“Yeah, like we’re getting married.” You laughed.
“She doesn’t want to marry me?” Tom asked, all anger draining from him. It was replaced with devastation and defeat.
“Ask her if she wants to marry Tom.” Conor said as he watched Toms fallen face carefully.
“You guys aren’t planning on getting married?” Josh asked, feeling himself beginning to sweat.
“We are.” You nodded and Tom sighed in relief. “To other people.” You added.
“She killed me and now she’s beating my corpse with a phone book.” Tom said in exasperation.
“Try to change the subject again away from marriage.” Conor pleaded for Toms sake.
“Your hair looks really nice today.” Josh blurted.
“That’s not helping!” Tom shouted.
“Thank you! I really like your hair too. I totally have a thing for gingers.” You nodded.
“Said no one ever!” Tom scoffed.
“Abandon that conversation immediately. New plan! Ask her what her favorite thing about Tom is.” Conor shrugged.
“Speaking of Tom, whats your favorite thing about him?” Josh asked, ignoring the insult from Tom.
“My favorite thing about Tom? That’s easy.” You smiled and Tom did too. “He always puts the toilet seat down after he’s done. I hate when boys leave it up. So, probably that.”
“Her favorite thing about me is how I put the toilet seat down?” Tom asked with a blank stare.
“Ask her something else about him. He’s dying, Josh. He’s on his last leg.” Conor begged.
“Finish this sentence: my boyfriend gives the best…” Josh began.
“Kisses.” You gushed. Josh looked at the camera for approval and he heard Tom sigh happily into the microphone. “Just kidding, he gives the best directions. He’s really good at giving people directions. His kisses are lack luster, but I’m sure that doesn’t surprise anyone.”
“Ask her what in the the absolutely, positively, burning, bloody hell that meant?” Tom quipped.
“Why not?” Josh asked you.
“Do I have to say it?” You asked.
“Make her say it.” Tom ordered.
“Yes.” Josh nodded.
“No lips.” You shrugged.
“Can’t argue with her on that one, mate.” Conor told Tom.
“Can you get her to say one nice thing about me before my ghost ascends into heaven?” Tom sighed in defeat.
“What do you love about him? There must be something, right? Why else would you be together?” Josh asked you. You decided it was time to let up.
“There is something I love about Tom.” You smiled dreamily.
“Thank God.” Tom said, leaning forward to hear you clearly.
“Finally.” Conor after.
“Really? What is it?” Josh asked.
“What I really, truly love about Tom,” you smiled at the camera, “is how he thinks he can prank me better than I can prank him.”
“What?” Josh laughed as he realized you’d be toying with him.
“Wait, what?” Tom stuttered.
“What?” Conor asked at the 50th turn the video had taken.
“Come on, Josh. I smelt BS as soon as I walked in here.” You declared. “You think I haven’t seen Conners video where you pranked Tom exactly like this? You boys must think I’m dumb.”
“Wait a minute, she what? What?” Tom tried to wrap his head around what he was hearing.
“Would you look at that.” Conor said, dumbfounded.
“You knew it was a prank and you let us believe we were pranking you this entire time?” Josh asked, not bothering to hide how impressed he was.
“Yup.” You popped the p.
“Come on.” Tom pulled Connor out of the room and ran to where you and Josh were. You burst out laughing when you saw Toms red face.
“Ha! I knew I’d get you.” You clapped as you pulled Tom into a hug. “You should’ve known better than to challenge me. You know they call me Prank Sinatra.”
“No one calls you that.” He mumbled as his cheeks flamed up in embarrassment that you’d gotten him so good.
“Modern day Prank Ocean.” You shrugged smugly.
“How did you know it was a prank?” Conor asked you.
“I watch you and Josh all the time. I know a prank when I see one. I got you guy so good, thinking I liked the name Josh and all that.” You said triumphantly.
“Hey.” Josh warned.
“Sorry.” You apologized.
“So all your answers were…” Tom began.
“Complete and utter lies?” You finished. “Why yes, yes they were. Every last one.”
“You made all that up? All that stuff about my accent and not liking to work with me?” He asked hopefully, needing to hear you confirm it.
“Obviously! When do I ever say “effervescent”? You should’ve known I was only joking, lover.” You assured him as you pressed a kiss to his lips. “I’d never say that stuff. I love your accent and I love working with you.
“And the marriage stuff?” He said softly. You knew you took it a little too far with that one.
“If you want that to happen, you know what to do.” You shrugged casually and he blushed.
“I cannot believe you pranked us this badly. I feel so defeated.” Conor sighed.
“You shouldn’t have challenged the queen of pranks.” You told him as Tom presses kissed of relief to your cheek.
“Wait, what about what you said about wanting to date Chris Evans?” He remembered.
“Thanks for watching everybody! Bye!” You said to the camera before running out of the room.
“Wait! You didn’t answer my question!” Tom said as he ran after you.
“Don’t forget to subscribe!” You shouted from the hallway.
“What she said.” Conor smiled again the camera before turning it off.

Covers With Conor (Josh x Reader)
Having had your music channel open on you-tube for 4 or 5 years now, you had made quite a few friends that you would occasionally do covers with or even write originals with.
One of your long distance besties was Conor Maynard. Just last week, Conor had convinced you to come stay with him in London for a month. You two had never met in person and he wanted you two to bank as many cover videos as you could. Thankful for in-flight wifi, you text Conor that you would be landing within the hour.
*text*
Conor - *YES!! We'll meet you at baggage claim!*
You - *Meet you there! We?*
Conor - *Anna wouldn't let me pick you up without her. Prepare to be Koala'd like you've never been Koala'd before.* Conor -*By Anna, not me...Maybe both...........okay me too.*
You - *Hahaha, ANNA! I cannot wait to finally meet her in person. I adore your sister.*
The overhead announcement to put your seat-belts back on was made and you started to get butterflies in your stomach.
You knew that Conor shared a place with his brother Jack and their friend Josh, so you would be meeting and spending time with quite a few new people. While your channel was more like Conor's, you still watched pretty much all of the buttercream videos. Joe and Josh were your favorites, but you were actually a little nervous to be around Josh for an entire month as you had developed a little crush on him.
You - *Just landed. Just waiting to get off the plane!*
As you made your way to the baggage claim area, you heard a squeal and then felt all of the air leave your body. Looking down, you saw Anna.
"ANNA!" You squealed squeezing her tight.
Conor walked up holding his phone up "I cannot believe I have to beeeee seen with these embarrassing nerds."
"Are you ever going to stop using the bee filter on snapchat??" Anna teased him.
"Yeah! Talk about embarrassing." You added, laughing.
Conor had been catching your conversation in snaps and turned the camera to him and faked some tears "do you see how they treat me?? So beeeelittleing"
You and Anna shared a look and then tackled him to the ground.
"I leave you alone for 5 minutes to find a parking spot and I find you rolling around on the ground in a public place. Shame on you, Conor." Josh walked up laughing.
Turning bright red, you quickly stood up. You helped Anna up and fixed your clothes. "Definitely all Conor's fault. I'm Y/n, nice to meet you." You reached to shake his hand.
"Oh, come on." Josh said, pulling you into a hug. "I know who you are. Are you kidding? Conor hasn't shut up about you since you agreed to come visit. I'm Josh, by the way."
"Lies, y/n. All lies." Conor said in his funny high pitched voice.
Laughing, you returned the hug. "I know who you are, too. You really thought you'd make it 60 hours?" You teased, walking to your luggage with Anna.
The car ride to their flat was awkward, but really funny. You and Anna sat in the back texting and giggling.
Anna - *Did you ever tell Conor you like Josh??*
You - *NO! Are you kidding me?? Neither of your brothers can keep a secret to save their lives.*
Anna laughed at my response making the guys up front ask what we were doing.
"Mind your business, Conor." She responded.
Anna - *He's going to figure it out. He's annoying, but he's smart, lol. Your face turned bright red when Josh walked in.*
You - *Fml, I know. SPEAKING OF JOSH, why didn't you warn me he was coming!? You brat!*
Anna - *Hahaha, I actually didn't know until we left, and then I thought I'd let him surprise you. Don't kill me.*
"Oh, I'm gonna get you back." You said out loud, laughing, causing Anna to laugh too.
"What the hell are you two on about?" Conor asked.
"Girl stuff." - Anna "Periods." - You "How often we wash our hair." - Anna "Boys." - You "Secrets." - Anna "That's why her hair is so big.." - You "It's full of secrets." You said in unison.
Josh and Conor went quiet and you and Anna started busting up laughing.
Josh joined in laughing a bit, but Conor just had a very confused look on his face. "You two are so fucking weird. How did I ever let you become friends?"
You - *Not a word about Josh. Promise??*
Anna - *Convince Conor to let me stay this week with you guys and your secret is safe with me ;)*
You - *Deal.* ----------------------------- Once you guys picked up food, you headed back to the flat. You were supposed to be crashing on their couch, but that changed once you convinced Conor and their parents to let Anna stay with him for a few days. Conor decided that him and Josh would share Conor's bed and you and Anna would share Josh's bed. Neither of the guys wanted to share with Jack, teasing him about cuddling them in the middle of the night whenever they bunked together.
"Let me help you bring your bags to the room." Josh offered, grabbing your suitcase and Anna's bag. She shot you a knowing look before going to talk to Jack.
"Thank you. You didn't have to do that." You smiled, following him into his room.
"What kind of gentleman would I be if I made you carry them?" He smiled, putting the bags in front of the wardrobe. "The linens are newly washed and you guys can use anything you need in the bathroom. Towels are here." He said, pointing to a cabinet by the bathroom.
"Perfect. Thanks, again." You tried not to blush, but Josh was just being so damn cute. You realized you had been staring a few seconds too long and you knew your cheeks had to be red at this point.
"Let me know if you guys need anything else." He smiled and grabbed a few things to take to Conor's room.
Reprimanding yourself for being so awkward, you laughed, sighed, and fell back on the bed....and all of a sudden heard giggles.
"That bad, huh?" The very recognizable voice of Jack Maynard filled your ears.
"ANNNAAAA." You moaned, knowing she had just filled Jack in about your crush.
"I told you I wouldn't tell Conor, not Jack." She laughed. "Plus...he already knew."
Sitting straight up, you yelped "What?!"
"Come on, love. All it takes is a look through your Twitter likes. You've liked maybe 10 of my tweets, but at least every other tweet you like is Josh's. Even his stupid tweets that make no sense." He replied, laying down on one side of you while Anna laid on the other.
Laying back, you sighed. "Fuck my life."
Jack and Anna both laughed until Conor and Josh walked into the bedroom. "There you guys are. What's so funny?" Josh asked. You threw your hands over your face while the other two just laughed harder.
"Oh, God. Now Jack is in on it??" Conor whined.
------------------------ When you and Anna finally decided to turn in for the night, you talked for a few hours before actually getting in your pajamas and crawling into bed.
"I'm so glad Conor convinced you to fly all the way over here." Anna said.
"Me too. I'm beyond excited to work with your brother face to face and I'm so happy I finally got to meet you guys." You replied. "I really need to work on my poker face, though. I literally just stared at Josh when he was in here earlier. Awkward, much?"
She laughed in response. "You'll do fine. He really is a sweet guy."
"Thanks...and he is. I just hope I don't make a fool of myself in front of him." you laughed.
It wasn't long before you both fell asleep.
Late the next morning you were woken up by quiet mumbles and giggles. You and Anna had apparently cuddled close in the night and the boys were standing at the bottom of the bed laughing. Once you woke up, Jack threw himself on the bed, being obnoxious. "Wake up, lazy bones!"
"Fuck off, Jack." Anna mumbled.
"ANNA!" Conor and Jack scolded.
"Look who's talking!" you laughed.
After you guys all had lunch, you and Conor went to his studio area and started planning out your songs.
"So we have our list of covers, do you have any unfinished originals you want to work on?" Conor asked.
"Yes! Let me grab my song book. I have a lot of pieces started that I just can't do anything with." you replied, hopping up to grab your notebook.
When you returned, he was flipping through a notebook of his own. "Feel free to look through this. All of the finished pieces have a title at the top and the others are just one to a page." you said, handing him your book.
"Same." he switched notebooks with you. "I have to warn you, though. The last 10 or so unfinished songs in there are all depressing. Apparently my life goal is to bring back 2006 emo music." he laughed.
"Mine's not much better." you chuckled. "Most of the unfinished pieces in there are love songs."
After reading through each other's lyrics for about a half hour, Conor looked up with the weirdest look on his face. "Are you dating someone?" he asked.
"Nope! Single and actively avoiding mingling." you smirked at him.
He looked back down at the book only to look back up within a minute. "These are recent?"
"Yup. What's going on? Did I accidentally hand you my notebook filled with fan-fiction?" you joked. "I warned you they were all mush."
"They're just all about one person." Conor gave you a knowing look.
"How can you tell?" you stuttered. "I mean, what do you mean?"
"I knew it! They ARE all about one person. *Somebody's got a crush*" he sang the last part. "What dashing stranger has won the heart of the famous Y/n?" he said in one of his weird accents, continuing to read lyrics from your book.
When you didn't respond, he looked back up to find your cheek had gone bright red. "I'm just teasing you, love. Don't worry. I can keep a secret." he comforted you, looking back down at your notebook. All of a sudden his head flew back up. "Oh, god. It's not Jack, is it?"
The terrified look on his face sent you into a fit of laughter
"What would be so wrong with that?" Jack teased as he walked into the room with Josh and Anna. Jack sat on your lap, cheesin' it up. "Writing songs about me, love?"
"Oh, god." Conor let his head dramatically drop into his hands.
You were too busy laughing at the brothers to notice Josh's face drop, but Anna saw it. "Hey, we are going to the park to kick the ball around. You two in or are you still working in here?" she asked.
"I want to stay and work on some of these" you replied, smiling at her and Josh.
"Make sure you put a line in there about my muscles." Jack kissed your cheek, hopping off of your lap. "Come on, boys. I mean, boy and Anna." he said, marching out of the room.
"See you guys later." you called after them. Looking back up at Conor, he was still staring at you with wide eyes. "it's not Jack!" you finally put him out of his misery.
"Oh, thank god." he started laughing. "I was kidding, anyways. I know it's me." he struck a cheesy pose.
"Dream on, Maynard." you chuckled.
On the way to the park, Anna kept thinking about Josh looking bummed out when Jack sat on your lap. "Boys, we've got a long walk. We should play a game."
"What were you thinking?" Jack asked.
"Truth or dare?" Josh chimed in.
"No, I'm not doing anything stupid you guys dare me to do." Anna whined. "Never have I ever?"
"Yes!" Jack yelled. "I'll go first. Never have I ever crushed on one of my siblings friends." He looked straight at Anna.
"Ewwww, no!" She laughed. Josh laughed and shook his head no. "Never have I ever been caught by your parents with a person of the opposite sex." She added.
"I have" Josh and Jack said in unison. "I was really young, though. We didn't know we were doing anything wrong." Josh added.
"I wasn't." Jack laughed. "It was right before I moved out and a girl followed me from the bathroom to my bedroom and mom caught us and told us we had to come downstairs to play 'family games' just to embarrass me."
"That was why that girl played Uno with us? That was the most awkward thing I've ever experienced in my life." Anna laughed.
"Tell me about it." He replied.
They were almost to the park, so Anna decided to try for some info. "Never have I ever had a crush on one of my roommates friends." Anna asked, making eye contact with Jack.
"Not a crush, really, but Conor and Josh do have some beautiful friends." Jack answered. "You?" he asked Josh.
"Yeah." he very quietly answered trying to go into the next Never Have I Ever question.
"What was that?" Anna asked.
"Fuck. Fine. Yes. Yes, I have." Josh answered in a huff.
"Ooooh, touchy. Who?" Jack teased.
"That wasn't part of the question!" he replied. "Plus, I doubt she likes me."
"So this is a current crush?" Anna asked.
"Why are you guys so interested?" Josh's cheeks flushed.
"Well, if it's one of my friends I'd probably know if they like you." Jack said. "Plus, you're my mate. I'm a great wing-man."
"Nah, It's nothing serious." Josh responded, kicking the ball and chasing it into the park you finally arrived at.
"Do you think?" Anna asked Jack once Josh was out of earshot.
"I mean, it makes sense. He doesn't usually get this weird when I ask him about girls." said Jack.
"He looked proper sad when you sat on Y/n's lap. It's gotta be her." Anna ran after Josh.
"I guess we'll find out." Jack joined them in the park.
That night, when everyone had gone their separate ways, Josh and Conor were up in Conor's room just talking and hanging out. Conor had asked you to leave your book with him and he had a stack of post-it's to write more lyric Ideas down for a few of the songs he really liked. He was almost finished reading through your song ideas when he found a scrap page that had scribbles and doodles on it. Things like "Learn to play guitar better" and "fuck my life, what rhymes with 'strength'?" Conor laughed, being able to relate to the stresses of song writing.
At the bottom of the page were the letters "J.P." written out a few times in different swirly fonts. *Must be the guy she's writing about* he thought to himself. Turning the page, he saw the name Josh written out similarly and his head snapped up to stare at his roommate, sitting on his bed.
"How was the park?" he asked Josh.
"Good. We got rained out, but we played for a few hours." Josh replied. "By the way, I don't know how you deal with your siblings when they're together. They gang up on you."
"Don't I know it. What did they do to you?" Conor asked.
"We played Never Have I Ever on the way to the park and they were just relentless. Though I did find out that Anna has a boyfriend. Jack went mental." Josh laughed.
"I told her he'd freak out when he found out. She told me a few weeks ago. It's one of my mate's little brothers, so I'm not too worried." Conor tried to figure out how to ask Josh about anyone he liked. "What were they badgering you about?"
"Anna asked if either of us had crushed on a roommate's friend. Jack denied it, but I said yes." Josh reluctantly answered.
"Awwwwww." Conor teased. "Who do you like?!"
"Not you too." Josh huffed. "Come on, I don't want to say. I'm obviously not their type, so I'd rather just get over it."
"Don't say that. Loads of girls would go for you." Conor replied, feeling bad that he obviously struck a nerve. "I won't tease you. I promise. I was just genuinely curious."
"Thanks. I'm making Mikey and Jack go to the club with me tomorrow, if you want to join. I need a night out to clear my head." Josh invited Conor.
"After reading through a few of these songs, I think we're going to work really late tomorrow. I've felt pretty inspired the last few days to write and I don't want to lose it. I'll come pick you guys up after the club, though. That way you don't have to wait for an Uber." Conor answered.
"Sweet. Thanks. I'm going to call it a night." Josh started getting ready for sleep.
"Me too, actually. I think I'm too sidetracked to work on this tonight."
The next day was amazing. You and Conor had been shut up in his studio working on melodies and lyrics with Anna. She had started to show an interest in singing and music, so Conor let her sit in on the writing process. She actually helped a few times when you were too caught up on something to see the best answer. She would bring you snacks and drinks and finally around 8pm she made you guys take a break.
She put on Jurassic world and you all sat down on the couch under a blanket. About 40 minutes into the movie, Conor passed out and his head fell on your shoulder. Jack and Josh walked through the living room to catch an Uber with Mikey and Caspar and Josh saw you looking mighty comfortable with Conor.
"Have fun, boys!" you called out. "Remember to text us when you want to be picked up. We're getting ready to go back up to the studio soon, so we'll definitely still be up."
"Will do." Jack replied.
"Who knows? After tonight I may have to do the walk of shame tomorrow morning." Josh replied grabbing his jacket.
"Just let me know you're safe." You forced a smile as they left, making awkward eye contact with Josh.
Conor woke up when the door closed, popping up and yelling "I'm awake." leaving Anna and you in a fit of laughter.
You had left Anna to watch the rest of the movie and to wait for the food that was being delivered and you and Conor want back up to the studio.
"Love, you need to do something to clear your head. I would say take a shot, but we have to pick up the boys later." He laughed. "Ever since we came back up here your ideas have gotten more and more angsty."
"I'm sorry." you said, hanging your head.
"Don't apologize. I just want to help. What's going on up there?" he tapped you on the forehead.
"It's nothing. I think I'm just in a mood." you tried to laugh it off.
"What about?" He asked.
"Boys. Dumb, dumb boys." You were genuinely laughing at yourself, now. "We should take advantage of my angst and work on one of your emo songs." you joked.
Conor caught on that you didn't want to talk about it and decided to try to make you laugh. He stood up and starting singing lyrics to an old Hawthorne Heights song.
"Too emo! TOO EMO!" You were rolling laughing at this point.
Soon after that, Anna brought the food up and the rest of your night ended up back on track. You finished a song and had started another.
"Lets do another round!" Josh called to the boys.
"You're really in it to win it tonight, aren't you." Caspar replied, suggesting shots. "What's gotten into you?"
"He's caught up on a girl." Jack replied before Josh could answer. "He won't admit who it is, though."
"Is that why you wanted to go out tonight, mate?" Mikey asked. "Find yourself a distraction."
"Why don't I know about this?" Caspar asked, faking that he was hurt.
Josh just glared at Jack. "Because it doesn't matter."
"Go grab the next round, Josh." Jack handed him cash, watching him walk off to the bar.
"Who is it?" Caspar immediately asked. Mikey's face looking just as interested.
"I think it's Y/n, but he wouldn't say. He just said that they wouldn't like him back so he wants to get over it." Jack quickly said, trying to fill them in before Josh got back with shots.
"Awww, they would be cute together!" Caspar squee'd like a proud parent.
"I know! I just don't know how to get him to tell us that it is for sure her. I don't want to play match-maker and fuck things up if it's not." Jack saw Josh approaching their booth so he told the other guys to act normal.
"Yeah!" Mikey cheered when Josh put the drinks down. "To a good night out with the boys." he added, picking up his glass and tapping it to the other glasses.
"Amen, buddy." Josh replied, downing his 7th or 8th shot of the night.
2:30 A.M. and Conor finally got a text from the boys. "Either of you want to come with me to get those losers?"
"I'm in." You grabbed your sweatshirt, looking to Anna.
"May as well. I hate being here by myself." She joined you at the door.
Anna sat up front so she wouldn't have to share a seat with a drunk boy. "Hop in fellas!" she yelled to the boys once we arrived at the club.
Josh slid in next to you, with Jack following. Caspar and Mikey sat in the very back row. "Who is going where?" Conor called to the back of the car.
"If you don't mind, can you drop me off at my place?" Caspar asked.
"Not at all. We'll drop you off first." Conor replied.
"Did you guys have fun?" you asked.
"Yeah. Mostly just caught up with one another and drank. We drank a lot. I'm glad you guys picked us up because I don't think I could have worked my Uber app." Jack looked like he was half asleep already.
"How did your song writing go?" Josh suddenly asked, a drunk smile on his face.
"Good, actually. Thanks for asking." You smiled back at him. "Did you have a good night?"
"Yeah. Nothing special. Just hanging with the boys. Do we get to hear what you wrote?" Josh asked as we pulled up to Caspar's place.
Knowing that your first song was kind of inspired by the drunk boy sitting next to you, you were kind of nervous to have him listen to it. With blushing cheeks you responded, "Of course. Once it's finished."
"Bye guys. Thanks for the ride, Conor." Caspar called into the car. Jack joined Mikey in the back so that it was 2 to a row, and Josh laid down taking up the whole seat with his head in your lap.
"Too much to drink?" you asked him, chuckling.
"I can handle it." he mumbled.
You saw Anna look back and smile at the sight of you two. "Sure you can, buddy." She teased him.
Jack was giving Josh a hard time from the back seat. "Mate, you're gonna crush her. Or be sick. Whichever one comes first."
Josh attempted to sit up, but you put your arm over his side. "You're fine, hun. I'll wake you up when we get back to the flat."
Mikey jabbed Jack in the side, telling him to shut up.
You were totally fine with how the night ended up. Josh didn't go out with some random girl, you finished your song, and you were now running your fingers through his hair.
Your phone went off and you saw a picture Anna had just snapped of you two. You had to admit, it was quite cute.
When you pulled up to the flat, you rubbed your hand up and down Josh's side trying to wake him up. "Josh. Come on, love. You gotta wake up."
He sat up looking really confused. "Are we back?" he sleepily asked.
"Yes." you tried to keep a straight face. His hair was all over the place since you had been playing with it. "Lets get inside."
You tried to help him out, but he insisted on doing it himself. "I'm fine. I'm not that drunk." But when he practically fell out of the car, he admitted defeat.
"Come on." you laughed, putting your arm around his waist and pulling his over your shoulders. "I got you."
You and Anna decided to sleep on the couches, letting Josh sleep off his drunk in his own bed. You got him to the bed and started taking his shoes off. "Josh, do you need anything before you pass out?"
"I'm going to go get water in a minute" he replied with his eyes already shut.
"How about I grab you some water and some crackers and you stay here and change into some pajamas." You offered.
When you returned with some water, pain pills, and crackers he hadn't moved. "Josh, can you drink some of this before you fall asleep?" getting him to sit up for a second. "You don't want to sleep in your jeans, either."
He drank all of the water, but then he just laid back down. "Your phone is by your bed, okay? Can I get you anything else?"
He didn't respond, so you assumed he'd fallen asleep. Walking to the door, you heard him mumble something that truly sounded like "stay."
Turning around, you asked him. "What was that?", but the only response you got was a light snore. Feeling bad that he was going to be uncomfortable all night, you pulled his jeans off and left him to sleep in his T-shirt and Boxers. You tucked him in and made your way to the living room.
Anna had already fallen asleep on a couch, so you were free to write for a little bit. "Conor, can I grab my song book from you?"
"Of course. I'm actually going to write a bit tonight if you want to come up." He replied. He had actually been waiting for you two to be alone so he could question you about "J.P. and Josh".
"Perfect." you followed him up the stairs.
"Feeling inspired?" he asked, trying to keep a smirk off of his face as he handed you your book.
You blushed, feeling like he was trying to get information out of you. "Just don't think I'll be able to sleep, is all." You sat cross-legged on the floor and opened your notebook and it fell open on your trash page. When you realized that Conor had been through the whole thing and would have seen this page, your head shot up.
He had a full blown grin at this point. "Josh, huh?"
"Oh, fuck my life." you laughed, burying your face in your hands. "I cannot win with you guys."
"Awwwww, its true! Is that why you and Anna have been being so secretive??" he came to sit across from you on the floor.
"She told Jack, too!" you whined. "I just don't want to make things awkward. I'm in your flat for a month."
"It won't be awkward, love. Also, you two are fucking adorable. I saw the picture Anna took. You should tell him." he replied, opening his own songbook to find something to work on.
"NO! No way! Please don't tell him." you begged Conor.
"Hey, hey! Calm down, y/n. I would never break your trust like that. I just think it's really cute. He's a great guy." assuring you that your secret was safe.
"Thanks." you smiled back at him.
You guys wrote for another hour or so before finally crashing for the night.
The next morning, you and Anna were the first up. With it being almost noon, you decided to cook a full breakfast for the guys. Anna made toast and fried eggs while you made bacon, sausage, and hash browns. While the last pieces of toast were browning, you guys went to wake the boys.
You heard laughter coming from Jack's room and walked in to see Anna snap chatting Mikey and Jack spooning. You then went to wake Josh while Anna went to wake Conor.
"Josh?" You called, gently shaking his shoulder. "You have breakfast waiting for you in the kitchen."
Josh sat up, taking notice of what room he was in. "Why am I in my room? Where did you sleep?"
"You boys came home pretty drunk last night, so we figured you'd like to sleep in your own bed." You replied.
"But where did you and Anna sleep?" He groggily asked, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
At this point you realized he didn't remember anything from last night. "What do you mean? I slept in here, don't you remember?"
Josh's eyes shot open. "What?! I mean, uh. Oh...Did we, uh...what exactly um..."
"Nothing happened, Josh. What kind of girl do you think I am?" You went on. "You do talk in your sleep, though. Apparently it was confession hour for you." You teased.
"Oh, God. Y/n please tell me I didn't say anything embarrassing..." He went quiet for a second. "Oh, shit! Did I say anything about you?"
"Josh, I'm kidding! Anna and I slept on the couches. Don't freak out, hun. Your secrets are still safe." You laughed. "I am intrigued what you thought you said about me, though. Put your pants on and come eat." You smiled and left the room.
"You were in there a long time, y/n." Conor teased when you made your way back to the kitchen.
"Shut it." You scolded. "He can hear you!"
"Morning, ladies." Mikey said, joining you at the counter.
"Morning, Lp." You replied, handing him a plate.
"I feel like I'm dying" Josh said, finally walking out of his room. "I don't remember anything after falling asleep on Y/n's lap in the car. Sorry about that, by the way."
"Don't apologize for being adorable." You replied, making Josh smile.
"It WAS really cute." Anna added. "I even took a picture. I'll send it to you."
"You guys went pretty hard, last night." Conor said. "Make sure to drink lots of water."
"I have an empty glass by my bed, so I assume someone made me drink some last night. Thank you, whoever that was." Josh replied.
"That would be your pillow over here." Anna said, pointing her thumb at you.
"The food is delicious, girls." Jack said, stuffing bacon in his mouth. "Josh, please tell me you've changed your mind about going out again tonight."
"You're going out again?" Conor asked.
"No. It was a dumb idea." Josh said. "Learned my lesson."
"No more distractions?" Jack asked, sitting next to Josh.
Josh immediately punched him in the arm. "Shut up."
You and Anna shared a confused look. "Anyone have any plans for the day?" Anna asked.
"Well, I think Josh and I are filming at Caspar's later." Mikey replied.
"I'm supposed to be at Oli's in a few hours." Jack added.
"Looks like we're writing again today", you smiled at Anna and Conor. "Also, Anna, we should bake a cake."
"YES! Conor, can you drive us to the store?" She looked really excited.
"As long as you share." He bargained.
"Deal." She answered.
Josh eventually made his way to Caspar's with Mikey. Anna had text him the picture of you and him in the car and he kept unlocking his phone to look at it.
"You alright, buddy?" Caspar asked his best mate.
"Yeah. Of course." Josh locked his phone, setting it on the table. "What are we filming today?"
"I wanted to film a new game I ordered but it didn't come in time." Caspar complained. "We can do a QnA or a Would You Rather video?" He suggested, trying to come up with ideas.
"Let's do Would You Rather, but like Jack has been playing it. You have to actually do the one you pick." Josh replied.
"Oh, man. I already did this with Jack!" Mikey whined.
"Okay, why don't you read off the questions then." Caspar suggested. "Let's write down a few each. Then we'll make sure we have everything for the game."
Doing his intro, he mentioned Josh and Mikey and explained why they were doing this instead of the video he had planned. "Okay, I'll go first. Mikey?"
"Caspar, would you rather eat a spoonful of coffee grinds or retweet every tweet Joe has written in the last month. Including replies."
"Oh, fuck my life. I'm going to look like the biggest weirdo." He said, spending the next 5 minutes retweeting a months worth of tweets.
"I'm glad you got that one." Josh teased. "Lay it on me Mikey."
"Josh, would you rather let Caspar text anyone from your phone or tweet your YouTube crush asking them out on a date?" Mikey read the paper.
Josh felt really stuck. "I guess I'll have Caspar text off my phone." He said, reluctantly handing over his phone.
"Ooooooo, who should I text??" Caspar squealed. Opening Josh's phone, he saw it open on his text with Anna. The picture of Josh laying on your lap was the last text he had received. "Well I guess that makes it easy to pick." He held the phone up to Josh, showing him he had seen the picture.
"Please don't text her." Josh begged, getting flustered. "Caspar, don't." He grabbed his phone back, walking away from where they were filming.
"Hey, Josh. We'll start that round over." Trying to calm Josh down. They teased him a lot, but Caspar loved Josh. He knew when things had gone too far. "I do want you to talk about it, though. Jack thinks you like her."
Josh sat down on the couch, looking at  the picture. "That's funny because it seems like she likes Jack."
"If she does, I don't think he knows it. He wanted to try to hook you two up." Caspar said, sitting next to Josh. "You should just talk to her."
"Nah, she's going to be here for a month staying in our flat. I don't want to fuck it up." He said. "Can we film later? I'm not really in the mood anymore."
"Of course. I'll do a QnA with Mikey and we'll film something else later." Caspar said, grabbing his phone. "Oh, fuck me, I need to delete all of these retweets."
That actually got Josh to laugh a bit. "I'll see you later." He said, leaving Mikey and Casper to do a QnA.
Conor, Anna, and you were in the grocery store shopping for baking supplies.
"What kind of cake should we make?" You asked Anna, looking at all of the options.
"Well...Josh's favorite is chocolate." Conor said, grabbing a tin of chocolate frosting.
"You told Conor?!" Anna shrieked.
"Calm down, he figured it out." You laughed.
"Yeah, she's written his name in her notebook about a dozen times." He teased.
"Stooooooop. It's hopeless, guys." You said, reaching for the vanilla cake mix.
"Fuck off." Conor said, swatting your hand away from the box and grabbing the chocolate mix instead. "You know you're not about to give up. One, you're actually way out of Josh's league. So you have that going for you." He laughed. "And two, you've literally been writing lyrics about that boy. I'm not letting you give up on your muse."
"Just put the cake mix in the cart and shut up." You said, laughing. "Also, where's the wine in this place?"
"That's my girl." Conor cheered.
When you got back to the flat, you noticed Josh's keys on the table by the door.
"Lets bake the cake now so it can cool." Anna suggested.
Grabbing all of the ingredients, you started looking through the drawers for the wine bottle opener. "Found it!" you called, pouring yourself a hardy glass of red. "Okay, where are the mixing bowls?"
You and Anna were halfway through adding your ingredients and you were about halfway through your glass. "Oooo, you grabbed chocolate chips too!" Anna sounded excited, throwing them in the batter.
"Did someone say chocolate?" Josh walked into the kitchen, sitting at the counter.
"We're baking a cake!" Anna cheered, sneaking sips of your wine.
"And underage drinking apparently?" Josh laughed.
"I have done no such thing." She replied, sneaking another sip.
"Girl, your brother is going to kill me." you poked her in the side, making her giggle. "Would you like some wine?" you asked Josh.
"Yes, actually. That sounds great." he smiled at you.
Grabbing a second glass, you filled his and re-filled yours. "Okay, we need to add the eggs." you said, reading the back of the box.
"I want to crack the eggs!" Anna ran to to grab the carton.
"I thought you were filming at Caspar's, today?" you asked, sipping some more of your wine, feeling it start to relax you.
Josh took a hardy drink from his glass and replied. "Filming got a little stressful, so he's just going to do a QnA instead."
"That's a bummer. On the other hand, we'll have cake in about an hour." you held up your glass to cheers him.
"Cake makes everything better." he laughed, clinking his glass to yours. "This wine is really good."
"Red is best. Jack is always drinking white wine." you replied.
"I'll have to remember that." he said, topping off his glass.
Anna cracked the eggs and finished the mix. Once the cake was in the oven, she said she had to ask Conor something and left the room.
"How do you set the timer on this?" you asked.
Josh walked up to stand behind you and pointed over your shoulder to the timer. "How long?" he asked.
Feeling him stand so close to you with this much wine in you had your head spinning a bit. "Um...thirty minutes should be fine."
"three zero zero zero." he read the numbers out as he punched them in. "It's good to go."
"Thank you." you said, turning to face him.
"No problem." he replied, stepping back to lean on the counter. "What are you guys doing for the rest of the day?"
"Conor and I will eventually hole up somewhere to write, but I think we're just going to hang out for a bit. I know Anna wants to watch Conjuring 2."
"Mind if I join you for that?" he asked. "I didn't get to catch it in the cinema."
"Of course! We should try to pull the blinds and drapes so that it gets dark in here. We can put the movie on after we pull the cake out to cool." you replied, finishing your second glass of wine.
"I'll fix the windows if you go grab blankets." he smiled, finishing his wine, as well.
"Perfect." you left the room, glad to have a moment to yourself. grabbing the extra blanket off of Josh's bed, you climbed the stairs to Conor's room.
"What are you two doing in here?" you asked, startling both of them.
"You scared the shit out of me." Conor said, covering his chest with his hand.
"Well, if a tipsy person walking up stairs scares you, I don't know how you're going to survive the movie." you said, laughing. "I need to steal your second blanket. We're getting the living room ready for Conjuring 2."
"YES! I'm going to go make popcorn." Anna said, running down the stairs.
"Tipsy, eh?" Conor asked, patting the chair next to him that Anna had just left.
"Wine does wonders for the nerves." you laughed.
"I really do need to take you out one night. It's totally different than in America." he added.
"I'm in. I haven't been out dancing in forever." you replied, looking at his computer screen. "Have you been working on our songs??" you asked excitedly.
"Yeah. I was just letting Anna listen through a couple of the backing tracks." he said. "We'll go over them later, though. Let's go watch the movie."
"I'm really excited to work on those. I feel like I was stuck in writing some of them, but they're turning into great songs." you said, smiling at Conor.
"That would have nothing to do with the giant ginger downstairs, though, right?" he teased.
"Oh, shut it. I think it's just being here. Finally getting to spend time with you and Anna. Leaving my routine. Visiting a new city. I just needed to not feel stuck. Thank you for making me come out here." you hugged him.
"I'm glad you came." he replied, hugging you back. You two talked a bit before going downstairs. "Come on, you lush. I'll grab the other blanket."
Walking downstairs, you heard the timer start to go off. "Anna, can you grab the cake?" you called.
"I got it." Josh said from the kitchen, shutting the timer off and grabbing pot-holders.
"Thank you." You smiled at him.
"This smells delicious." he replied, putting the cake tin on a cooling rack and turning off the oven "The movie is ready to go, too."
When you got to the couch, Anna and Conor had taken each end, leaving the two spaces in the middle open. You sat next to Anna, throwing the blanket over your laps. "Come on, Josh. We're starting it."
"Coming!" he called, grabbing something before he left the kitchen. He joined you on the couch and you saw that he had filled his wine glass again. "Have any of you seen this?" he asked.
"I did. It was terrifying." you answered, watching the opening scenes. As you all relaxed into the couch and got comfortable, you and Josh ended up a little closer, your thighs and shoulders touching.
About half an hour into the movie, it starts to get pretty scary. The lot of you jumping at certain scenes and ducking your head to avoid watching others. During one particular scene, you had practically yelped and the other three got quite a laugh out of it. "Don't tease me!" you laughed, too. "I forgot about that part!"
"We're just giving you a hard time." Josh said, throwing his arm around you to shake you a bit. "We've all jumped."
"Just wait. It gets scarier." you said, looking up at him, grabbing his glass from him and taking a sip.
"We'll see." he left his arm around you, letting it drape over your shoulder.
For as nervous as you had felt around Josh, you felt really safe tucked into his side. Anna, being the sneaky photographer again, snapped a picture of the two of you.
"That was way better than I thought it was going to be. Sequels normally suck." Conor said, stretching and getting off the couch to turn on the lights.
"I agree. I still wish I would have seen it while it was in the cinema. They're always scarier." Josh replied, his arm still securely around you.
"It smells like cake." you guys heard Jack say from the door.
"Oh yeah! We need to frost it." Anna said, getting up and going to the kitchen.
"You can frost it. I'm comfortable." you said, pulling the rest of the blanket over to now cover you and Josh.
"Awwww, finally." Jack said, seeing you next to Josh.
Your eyes flew open and Josh had a confused look on his face. "What do you mean?" Josh asked Jack.
"Nothing." you quickly replied. "He's just being an idiot." you stared at Jack, standing up and joining Anna in the kitchen.
"What was that about?" Josh asked Jack once you had left the room.
"I just mean that I was glad you two finally...you know...talked or whatever. You looked cute all cuddled together on the couch." Jack said.
"That would be the wine. They didn't actually talk." Conor laughed.
"Aahhhh, well lets open another bottle." Jack joked.
"I'm not going to break Y/n's trust, but I can guarantee you Jack will, so I'm going to leave the room and let you two get on the same page." Conor said, joining you and Anna in the kitchen.
"What is going on?" Josh asked.
"Well, a few things. Caspar already text me, so I know you like y/n." Jack said, holding his hands up telling Josh to stay sat down and listen. "Also, the reason I've been trying to find out who you like is because Y/n likes you. Like, she's told me and Anna and apparently Conor."
"What?" Josh said, relaxing back into the couch.
"Yeah, so stop being a moody child and do something about it." Jack replied.
"I wasn't that bad." Josh defended himself.
"You said you might go home with a girl from the club right in front of her." Jack scolded him.
"Ah, fuck. I'm an idiot." Josh replied, standing up. "I'll make it up to her." he said, walking to the kitchen with Jack.
Anna had finished icing the cake and Conor and you had gone up to his room to start working on the songs.
"So, we were right." Jack said, walking up to Anna and stealing the frosting spoon.
Looking at Josh, she asked, "What are you going to do about it?"
"I don't know yet. I just found out she likes me." Josh replied.
"Well...Why don't you post this?" Anna held up her phone, showing Josh the picture of you two cuddled together watching the movie.
"That's a big move." he replied, getting a bit nervous.
"Josh, you already know she likes you. I think it's perfect." Jack added.
Downing the last bit of wine, Josh agreed. "Fuck it. Send it to me."
"I need to start charging for all of these photo shoots." Anna teased, texting Josh the photo.
Josh posted the photo on his Instagram with the caption "I'm not above using a scary movie as an excuse to cuddle with a beautiful girl."
"Damn, son." Jack said, patting Josh on the back. "That's slick."
"Even better, Y/n's phone is right here. She won't see it right away." Anna said.
"Perfect. Now lets go get something to eat before Conor sees it. I've had too much wine and not enough food." Josh said, grabbing his wallet and ordering an Uber from his phone.
"Lets get Chinese." Anna said, writing a note and leaving it next to the cake. "Be back soon. Josh, Jack, and I went to get food. We'll bring you something back. - Anna"
You and Conor had been going through the backing tracks he had made, tweaking and refining them. Conor got the notification that Josh had posted a picture and clicked on it. "I'll be right back." Conor said, running down the stairs. Seeing the note and your phone, he ran back upstairs.
"Are you okay?" you laughed, seeing Conor out of breath and looking a bit crazy.
"Two things." He said, handing you the note.
"Okay, they'll be back in a bit. And?" you replied, really curious where this was going.
"You should check your phone." He said, now handing you your phone.
"Oh, god. What did he post? Did they get in trouble?" you asked, opening the notification.
Conor watched your face light up and your cheeks turn red when you read what Josh wrote. "I'm not above using a scary movie as an excuse to cuddle with a beautiful girl." You started typing a comment on his photo and Conor looked over your shoulder to read it. "I'm not above playing up how scary the movie is to cuddle with a handsome boy."
"You two are disgusting." Conor teased, walking back to the computer.
Waiting at the "to-go" counter of the restaurant, Josh unlocked his phone and saw your comment. "Oh, shit."
Grabbing Josh's phone, Jack saw what you wrote. "See! I told you, buddy."
"God, I'm so awkward. I feel like a teenager that's scared to ask a girl to the dance." Josh replied, rubbing his hand over his face.
"That's kind of perfect, though. You're both awkward. It works." Anna laughed, grabbing the bags of food from the counter.
When they made it back to the flat, they brought the food into the kitchen. "I'll go let them know we're back." Jack said, going upstairs. "Hey, you two." He said, walking to stand between you and Conor's chairs.
"What did you guys bring?" Conor asked, saving his project.
"Chinese. Anna wants to eat and play games downstairs, so join us whenever you're ready." Jack replied. He started back down the stairs singing "Josh and Y/n, sitting in a tree..."
You both laughed, but Conor knew you were nervous. "Come on, love. You'll do fine."
When you joined the rest downstairs, you grabbed your plates and made your way to the living room. "Tonight is my last night here and I want to play games." Anna said.
"Sounds fun to me." You said, sitting next to her. "what do you have in mind?"
"We have board games, but I also want to play charades." She said, digging into  her food.
"I'll text Mikey so the teams are even." Jack replied.
The evening went by without a hitch. You had eaten your dinners, had some cake, opened a few more bottles of wine, played some games, and filmed the charades for Jack's channel. You were grateful that you and Josh never got brought up. When the evening was winding down, you decided to get some air and went to sit on the balcony. You sat cross-legged on the floor, flipping through your songbook and reading over some notes Conor had left you. "How are you doing out here?" Josh asked, walking out onto the balcony.
"Hey! I'm good. Just enjoying the night air." You smiled up at him, closing your book.
Seeing you flip your notebook closed, Josh apologized for interrupting you. "Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. I'll leave you to it." He smiled and started walking back inside.
"Oh, no!" You replied. "I was just reading through what Conor had written. You're totally free to stay if you'd like."
"You don't mind?" He asked, hesitating at the door.
"Of course not, silly." You said, patting the spot next to you.
"Hold on." He said, ducking inside and coming back out with a blanket. "It gets quite chilly out here this late." Josh sat next to you and threw the blanket over your laps.
"Thank you." You said, leaning back against the wall.
After a few moments of comfortable silence, Josh blurted out "I'm sorry if I've been an ass."
Turning to look at him, you couldn't help but laugh. "What do you mean?"
"Let me explain." he said, leaning back against the wall. "I've had an innocent little YouTuber crush on your for a while. I never thought much of it until I actually met you in person." He paused, turning to face you for a moment before continuing. "When I realized I had actual feelings for you, I got a bit jealous of your relationships with Jack and Conor."
"Josh, they're friendships. And Jack flirts with everybody." you laughed.
Chuckling himself, Josh continued. "I know, but I was still jealous." He turned to face you again. "I really like you and I know you're probably way out of my league, but I'd really love to take you on a date."
"Josh, I'm not out of your league. And I've liked you for quite a while." you replied, opening your notebook to your trash page. "look."
Josh laughed, seeing his name and initials scribbled in your notebook. He started teasing you. "You really like me, you want to kiss me, you want to hug me...." he continued on, both of you laughing.
"Alright, alright. Give me a break." you replied, leaning on his shoulder. Josh put his arm around you and pulled you to snuggle into his side. "I vote we call this our first date. We've had wine, food, fun, and now we're cuddled up outside enjoying each others company in this beautiful weather."
"I think we can make that happen." he replied, pacing a kiss on top of your head.
You looked up at him and pulled him into a sweet and gentle kiss before snuggling back into his side. You both sat there in comfortable silence for about a half hour, just enjoying being together. When Jack walked out onto the porch, he hopped up on the wall and "awww"d the two of you, seeing you asleep tucked under Josh's arm. "Good job, buddy. Did you finally talk?"
"Yeah." He replied looking down at you. "I'm an idiot. I should have talked to her straight away."
"I tried to get you to talk!" Jack laughed. "I knew she really cared for you and I didn't want to try and hook you two up if  you didn't feel the same."
"I definitely do. She's only here for a month and I feel like I've already wasted so much time." Josh replied, tucking your hair behind your ear.
"It's not like we don't travel all the time. You'll make it work, buddy." Jack encouraged Josh.
"I know." Josh smiled.
"Well Conor's gone to bed and Anna is asleep on the couch. You may want to wake sleeping beauty." Jack said, hopping down off of the wall.
Josh waited for Jack to go inside and then he tried to wake you up. "Y/n." He said, running his hand up and down your arm.
"Sorry." You said, sitting up and taking in your surroundings. "I'm exhausted."
"Anna and Conor are asleep and Jack's headed there. We should probably go inside." He said.
"I agree." You said, standing up. "Where did Anna crash?"
"Couch. You can have my bed. I'll go join Conor." He said, grabbing the blanket and following you inside.
"I can take the other couch. You don't need to give up your own bed." You replied, going up on your tip-toes to kiss Josh's cheek.
"No way. I'm not taking a bed if you have a couch." Josh argued.
"Well then, fancy a cuddle buddy?" You asked, tucking Anna in with the blanket.
You turned around to see a sleepy smiling Josh. "Sounds good to me." He replied, following you into his room. "I'll go change in the bathroom. You can get ready for bed in here."
When Josh returned, you went to wash your face and brush your teeth in the bathroom. Walking back into his room, you saw him laid down in the bed with his eyes closed. Worrying you would wake him, you gently crawled in on the other side and turned the lamp off.
"You're too far away" you heard Josh say before feeling his arms snake around your middle and pull you to him.
Giggling, you replied. "I thought you had fallen asleep."
"Just waiting for you, love." Josh kissed your hair and snuggled into the pillow behind you. "Sleep well."
"I definitely will." you replied, letting the rhythm of Josh's chest rising and falling lull you to sleep.
The next morning you woke up with Josh's head laying on your chest and his leg thrown over one of yours. You looked down and stared at the sleeping ginger and couldn't help but smile. Checking the time on your phone, you saw that it was almost noon. Clicking on a text notification, you saw it was from Anna. "I came in to say bye, but I didn't want to wake you. I'll make sure to come down from Brighton again before you leave. :) Or I'll make Conor and Jack bring you up. I'll leave you with this." Her text was followed by a picture of you and Josh cuddled together in his bed.
Running your fingers through his hair, you tried to wake Josh. "Josh, wake up." Josh just snuggled his face into your chest a bit and continued to sleep. Your laugh is what ended up waking him up. "Comfortable?" you asked.
Sleepily he looked up at you, realizing that he was laying on you. "Sorry." he said, starting to roll away.
"No you don't." you said, pulling him back to you. "You can stay." you started running your fingers through his hair again. "It's just almost noon and I'm starving."
"Mmmm, I am too, but you're so comfortable." Josh replied, practically purring as your drug your fingers through his hair.
"We can cuddle again after food." You said, your stomach growling.
"I'd love to be selfish, but your tummy is yelling at me." Josh laughed, rolling out of bed. "Let me go see if anyone else is awake."
Watching him walk out of the room, you couldn't help but have a moment of "this is real". You stayed laying in the bed with your eyes closed for a moment before standing up and changing into fresh clothes.
Josh walked back in without making any noise and caught you mid change. "Shit, I'm so sorry!" he said, turning back to the door.
Startled, you jumped and turned and then started laughing. "You scared the ever livin' out of me." you called after him. "Josh, you can come back in."
Shyly he crept back through the door. "I didn't mean to intrude." he said, watching you pull jeans and a sweater on.
"It's your room, nerd. You're good." you said, going up on your toes to kiss him. "Anyone else awake?"
Circling you in his arms, he responded. "They're both just waking up. I kind of want to leave the flat for food."
"Coffee shop down the street?" you suggested, leaning your head against his chest and slipping your arms around him.
"Perfect." He replied. "Let me get changed and we'll tell the boys to meet us there."
"I'll let them know." you said, kissing him and leaving the room.
After letting the guys know, you walked back towards Josh's room and heard him talking to someone.
"That's perfect, thank you. I'm going to wait to book a ticket back. I'm hoping the person I'm visiting will want me to stay a while." Josh said into the phone.
You peeked around the corner of his door frame and saw him blush when he realized you had heard him booking a ticket to visit you. He ended the call telling the customer service rep to have a nice day.
"Plan on visiting someone?" You asked with a smirk on your face.
"I mean. There's this beautiful girl in America I'm hoping won't mind sharing a bed with me for a while." He grinned, pulling you to sit in his lap on the bed.
"Well I hope she says yes." You pecked his lips with a chaste kiss.
"Me too." Josh said with an adoring look in his eyes. "Because I just can't accept that this ends when you fly home. I don't want to let this go."
"Don't worry, Josh." You smiled, putting your hand on his cheek. "You can share my bed anytime you want...even if you do snore."
"Hey!" Josh said, faking hurt. "I don't snore."
You got up laughing and walked out to where the guys were waiting. "Oh, you definitely snore."
"Looks like you two got on well last night." Conor said.
"We did." You replied, grabbing Josh's hand when he caught up. "Even tho this one snores like a mad man."
"I do not!" Josh retorted, leading you both out of the flat.
"I thought it was bad watching them pine over each other." Jack said sarcastically. "Now we have to live with the married couple for 3 more weeks."
Conor cracked up laughing. "Oh, you better prepare yourself. That's going to last a hell of a lot longer than 3 weeks."
"Yeah yeah." Jack laughed, following them out of the flat.

A/N: This is literally just a huge ball of fluff because I’m feeling very broody rn and miss my lil baby sm<3
You and Josh had a thousand things in common, one of the many things that spurred you to fall for him, but there was one specific thing that you defiantly did not share. And that, was your motherly instinct.
You really couldn’t help it, it just came naturally to you. It may have been due to the fact that you grew up taking care of your younger siblings seeing as both of your parents worked and only really came home to sleep.
They were older now, and you knew deep down that they could look after themselves and didn’t need you as much anymore, but that didn’t make moving out of your family home any harder.
These days, you really didn’t have anyone much younger than you to look after, only Josh, who, admittedly, didn’t need you as much as you liked to think he did. He was a grown ass man who was living his best life and was ever thankful that you were by his side throughout his journey, but that didn’t stop you from feeling a little unneeded.
You’d always had such a purpose, a drive that got you out of bed at five am every morning and only let you sleep when everybody else in your life was one hundred percent satisfied. Not having that made you feel inadequate.
That wasn’t to say your life living with Josh and Caspar wasn’t challenging, but you just felt like they withdrew themselves from you, obviously under the impression that you didn’t want to have to deal with their problems. They couldn’t have been more wrong.
There was a turning point, as there is with every resounding situation; and it was a cloudy Monday morning. You were sat on the couch in your sweats, your hair up in a messy bun and a small amount of makeup on your face. It was a personally proclaimed lazy day; and besides, you’d always been convinced that Monday’s were originally created as a day to recover from the weekend.
Josh had left early that morning, kissing you softly on the cheek as you mumble incoherently, still half asleep as you push your face into the pillow and hear him chuckle slightly as he left the room and flicked the light off.
You were sure that he’d gone to a meeting, seeing as you’d had a conversation with it the previous evening; but you couldn’t pinpoint exactly what the meeting was about. You silently shake your head and curse yourself for having such a bad memory.
You were swaying your hips and scrambling some eggs in a pan when your phone chimed from its place on the countertop. You reached over and kept one eye on the pan as you unlocked the device and read the message from one of your best friends. The further you read, the more the pit of your stomach began to bubble with excitement.
She’d asked you if it was okay for her to drop her little boy at your place for a few hours seeing as you lived hardly ten minutes from her place and her babysitter had dropped out last minute.
You agreed readily and you could just tell she was laughing at you for getting so excited. You had time to eat your eggs and make sure nothing too sharp was exposed at floor level before you heard a knock on the door.
Swinging the door open, you smile at her widely and she just chuckles and rolls her eyes at you, pushing into the apartment and placing the baby bags onto the counter before passing you the car seat. “He’s asleep at the minute, won’t be long until he wakes up. He shouldn’t be any trouble really, he loves his Auntie (Y/N).” She smiles at you and kisses your cheek, glancing down at her watch and cursing quietly. “Sorry I couldn’t stick around for longer, but I’m so late. I’ll see you in a few hours, and thanks again babe!” She calls as she walks out of the apartment, closing the door softly behind her and leaving you to grin down at the sleeping baby.
You truly were in your element, and even when he woke up and cried softly for a while, you couldn’t help but continue to smile as you bounce him up and down in your arms and hush him softly as you walk around the apartment; knowing for a fact that movement never failed to calm him down.
When he was happy and you had him giggling, you decided to prop him up on the couch and keep him stable with pillows and sit directly in front of him with your legs crossed, playing peek-a-boo and laughing whenever he threw his head back and gargled gibberish which you could only assume was him letting you know how much he appreciated your dry sense of humour.
You barely even noticed when Josh walked back into the apartment, along with Caspar and a very frazzled Joe following suit. They all froze and their conversation halted when they spotted you sat on the couch, your face pressed against the babies as you blew raspberries with your mouth and giggled when he stared into your eyes and blew spit bubbles.
You looked up over the back of the couch when you heard Josh drop his keys onto the counter, and smile at them all. “Heya guys, how was the meeting?”
“Alright.” Josh shrugs, before furrowing his brows and sharing a look with a few of the boys as you go back to quietly playing peek-a-boo with the baby. “Um, babe, where’d you get the baby?”
You scrunch up your nose and look at him in disbelief. “I went and got him in Tesco, where’d you think I got him?” She says sarcastically, rolling her eyes as she steadied the tiny swaying body. “(Y/F/N) dropped him off, her babysitter bailed on her and she had a meeting in Central London.”
“He’s so adorable!” Caspar squeals, running over and sitting on his knees in front of the couch, staring at the baby as if he was the most precious thing in the world. “Oh my goodness, I just wanna eat him up!”
You chuckle and wipe away some dribble with the bib you’d grabbed out of the bag from the babies chin. You look up at Joe and Josh and nod toward the baby. “Come say hello.”
Caspar awes softly as you brush some of the hair away from the little man’s face and he leans into your touch with a gargle, causing you to grin and rub your thumb across his cheek. Joe and Josh huddle around the sofa, Joe kneeling down beside Caspar and Josh sitting behind you, wrapping his arms around your waist and kissing your neck once before he began staring at the baby over your shoulder.
Caspar picks up one of the many toys that had somehow already been littered all across the apartment and cautiously holds it in-front of the baby, the smile on his face widening hugely when the boy reaches his chubby little arms out and makes grabby hands for the plush giraffe.
Joe was making funny faces at the baby, making him stare at him with his wide eyes and laugh, but hardly anything compared to the way he laughed with you. It was more than likely to do with the fact that he knew who you were, and was only just now meeting Joe for the first time.
There was peace for a few minutes, and you conversed with the boys about their meeting and how everything had gone, but before you could get into telling them about the boring morning you’d had, the babies mood suddenly turned and he went from gurgling happily to screaming at the top of his lungs.
The boys all move away, their eyes widening in shock, but you simply laugh and roll your eyes at them, reaching forward and lifting the baby into your arms, standing up and patting his back softly as you walk around to the back of the couch and pace circles slowly. “Hey, hey no, it’s okay. Shh.”
You continue to mindlessly mumble reassuring things to the baby as you reheat his bottle of milk, expertly resting it on your wrist all whilst balancing the now deeply breathing baby on your hip. When you were sure that it wasn’t too hot, you popped the nipple into his mouth and rocked him gently as he stared up at you and guzzled the milk down before falling asleep in your arms with an empty bottle hanging between his gums.
You clean up his face and put the bottle on the counter before walking over to the car seat and placing him down inside, making sure to cover him with his little blanket and putting a pacifier between his clenched fingers just in case he was to wake up.
When you were fully satisfied that he was as safe and as comfortable as he could be, you hop over the back of the sofa and cuddle into Josh’s side. He wraps his arm around your waist and hugs you into him as Caspar continued to play Counter Strike on his computer on the other side of the room and Joe began to vlog a little, updating his viewers on his day. You hadn’t even noticed that he’d been filming before.
That night, when your friend had come to pick up the baby and had thanked you multiple times for being, in her words, a life saver, and Joe left to go home, you and Josh cuddled together in bed. He ran his fingers up and down your back as he began to speak softly. “Did you have a good day today?”
You nod and smile at him. “One of the best in a while.”
“Seeing you with kids, it makes me really happy,” Josh admits, his voice croaky and his accent so much more prominent now than it was during the day due to his sleepiness. “You think we’ll start a family one day?”
You purse your lips together and shrug. “I like to hope so.”
He grins and pushes his face into the crook of your neck, yawning softly and closing his eyes. “Well, in that case, there’s something I need to tell you.”
You narrow your eyes and push him away gently, looking at him with your eyebrows raised. “What did you do?”
“I may or may not have lost a bet to Casp when we were seventeen and now have to give my first child Caspar as a middle name.”
You were about to groan and laugh at his, and coincidentally, your, expense, but after thinking about it for a second, you hum and nod, causing the red head to eye you in confusion. “Something Caspar Pieters, I like it.” You kiss him quickly before getting comfortable and switching off your lamp. “Night babe.”
You hear Josh laugh and you can’t help but smile into your pillow, especially when he curls himself around you from behind you and begins to trace shapes into the exposed skin on your stomach. “I love you.”
“I love you more.” You mumble sleepily, your eyes slowly closing as the events of the day caught up to you and you fell into dreams of yourself and Josh’s future.

Masterlist
Walking down the street, hand in hand, your mind traveled back to the year you had spent with him. He had quickly become one of the most important people in your life and everything always seemed to work out because of him. Meeting him through social media was something you never thought would happen and you sure as hell didn’t think it would last this long.
“Are you cold?” He asked, stopping in his tracks and beginning to remove his suit jacket. You stood there, looking at the ground and couldn’t help but smile as he placed the jacket over your shoulders.
It was your one year anniversary and the more you thought about it, the longer you knew you’d last. Your relationship had progressed quite quickly, however for some reason, neither of you had worked up the courage to say those three little words everyone longed to hear. You felt it - you felt it from the moment you saw him but saying it was a whole new territory you weren’t familiar with.
“Thank you.” You said, walking through the door he was holding. Placing the suit jacket on the back of the chair, you looked around the hotel room. He had been planning an anniversary trip for a while now and finally settled on Barcelona - a place you only dreamed of going. Removing your heels from your feet, you sat down on the bed and laid back, allowing your body to sink into the softest bed you had ever slept in. He laid down next to you and connected his left hand with your right. “You know what I really want to do?” You asked, pushing yourself up and moving so you were now straddling him.
“What could you possibly be thinking about?” He asked, smirking as you brought your face closer to his.
“Not what you’re thinking.” You whispered, your lips brushing against his with every word. Reaching over to your side of the bed, you grabbed the pillow and lightly smacked it against Josh’s face.
Letting out a huff, he placed his hands on your waist, throwing you off him before grabbing the pillow that once rested his head. “You’re going to regret that.”
Standing up on the bed, you smiled as you prepared yourself for the war you had unintentionally yet intentionally got yourself into. Swinging at full force, your pillow collided with his and swing after swing, the fun you two were having was growing and the war was being more and more intense. Jumping around the bed to avoid getting hit, you continued swinging, laughing at his face any time the pillow would come too close. The laughs grew louder as the swings became more frequent, however you stood still as the phone began to ring. Not really sure as to who could be calling at a time like this, Josh jumped to your side of the bed and picked up the phone.
“Oh...we’re terribly sorry.” He apologized, hanging up the phone a couple of seconds later. Looking over at you with wide eyes and an awkward smile, he said “We just got a noise complaint.” Your laughter filled the room once again as you fell onto the bed, giving up the war. “Shh!” Josh demanded, laying down next to you as he covered your mouth. “They only give out one warning.”
“They said that?” You questioned, wondering why the hotel had such strict rules.
“No,” Josh laughed. “I just don’t want to listen to that guy again.” Laughing, you picked up the pillow once again and lightly hit it across his body before letting it fall to the ground. The room fell silent as you looked into his eyes and began mentally thanking God for bringing such a man into your life. “I love you.” He said, breaking the silence between you.
Smiling as you lightly bit the inside of your bottom lip, you moved closer to him, your lips just inches from his. “I love you too.” You replied, cracking a smile before closing the gap between your lips.

Josh Pieters Jealous
Warnings: smut getting tipsy
Requests open
Being best friends with the guys in the buttercream squad can really wear a person out especially all the parties.
Right now I’m at a night club with the them. Everyone is getting a little drunk. After years with these guys I have a high tolerance for alcohol so I order a another shot of tequila. Some random guys comes and sits beside me.
He is really attractive and I’m a little tipsy so I thought I could have some fun with him. “Hey you here alone?” I ask in a flirty voice. “Ya my girlfriend just broke up with me so I’m kinda on the rebound what about a pretty lady such as yourself?” He replies.
I’m starting to feel bad about flirting with him because I actually have a really big crush on Josh that only Casper knows about. He tries to tell me I have a chance but right now I’m just going to forget about him and have some fun. So I reply back with “I’m here with some friends. What kinda girl is dumb enough to dump a handsome man such as yourself?”
“A bitch that’s who. You wanna dance?” He queried “Sure” I giggled back. He grabs my hand and leads me to the dance floor. I we started dancing really close to each other and getting very touchy. I swear I can feel eyes burning into my soul but I can’t find who it is.
JOSH POV
I was watching y/n with that stupid jackass with his hands all over her. I HATED it. I know she’s not mine but I want her to be and all the boys tease me about it. All I can think about right now is him touching and and I’m shaking with rage.
Casper suddenly pops up out of nowhere. “Man you got to calm down just go over there and get her she’s drank a lot more tonight then usual she’s just looking for someone cause you won’t make a move. I promise she really likes you man she’s just trying to forget cause she thinks she can’t have you. Now go get her.”
Still pissed and a little buzzed I thank Casper for the pep talk and walk over to her and Jackass.
Y/n POV
The alcohol was really starting to get in my system when someone came up behind me a said in an angry voice “Hey dude get lost she’s drunk and you shouldn’t take advantage of her like that.” I immediately recognized that voice as Josh. The guy looked ready to tell him off until he looked up to see how tall and mad Josh was so he said bye and ran off.
I turn around to see Josh with a very angry look on his face as he scolds me and pulls me really close until the guy was on the other side of the bar. I may have been kinda drunk but I swear he looked jealous. When he finally let me go I spoke up “was Joshua jealous?” “I was not I just didn’t like him with his hands touching you and trying to pull you closer” “josh that’s jealous” i deadpanned.
“Come on I’m taking you back to my place I don’t want you driving home this drunk.” He said. I didn’t say anything back I just followed him, he told Conor we were going back to the flat and picked me up. I didn’t say anything about it Josh does this a lot especially when he’s buzzed or drunk because he gets REALLY touchy.
When we got back to the flat I had a headache forming josh gave me a t shirt and a pair of drawstring sweatpants for me to wear and went to make some tea for us to help with my headache. I got changed and took off my bra cause I didn’t want to sleep in it and figured Josh wouldn’t care. I threw my clothes in the wash and sat down on a stool at the island in their flat.
Josh handed me some tea to sober us up, and sat next to me. I leaned into his side and he put his arm around me. I got an idea and decided to go with it before I lost all my drunkenness and got to scared I leaned up and whispered in his ear “I’m so glad you got jealous and possessive and scared that guy away.” I leaned back so I could see his face and bit my lip suggestingly and added “it was really hot”
Josh turned away and blushed before he answered with “God you really must be drunk.” “ Josh I want you to look at me I’m not drunk I really have liked you for a long time and seeing you get possessive really turned me on.” His eyes widened and I thought he didn’t feel the same way. I was about to turn around and walk away when he pushed me up against the wall.
“Y/n I have loved you for so long and have waited for this day but I couldn’t stand his hands all over you because your mine.” Josh said in a really deep voice with his eyes almost black. He kissed me very suddenly and roughly but it was also passionate like I always dreamed it would be.
He whispered “jump” so I obeyed and wrapped my legs around his waist with him hands on my bum. He took me away from the wall and started to walk towards his bedroom while I kissed his neck and nibbled on the sweet spot behind his ear lobe as he moaned. I tried my best to move my hips to create some friction as he tried to open his door he moaned again and I felt him getting harder by the minute.
He finally opened the door and ran to the bed and dropped me while he crawled on very quickly after and attached my neck sucking and nibbling on my sweet spots as he growled in my ear “mine.”
I have never seen him so possessive I don’t know what’s gotten into him but I like it he is usually sweet and kind but he is acting very possessive and rough. I buck my hips and moan some more.  Moaning his name he starts kissing down my body until he reaches the hem of my (his) shirt and rips it off of me.
He realizes I don’t have a bra on pretty quick and I blush but soon he just attacks them with kisses and swirls his tongue around one nipple and nibbles it as he massages the other one then switches. The whole time I moan his name in pain and pleasure from his roughness.
I tug his shirt over his head and he undoes his belt and takes off his pants. Leaving me in his sweatpants and him in his boxers. Without skipping a beat he pulls my (again his) pants down and slides them off my legs. He kissed in between my thighs and spreads my legs apart. He very slowly pulls off my underwear with his teeth and then his tongue finds my clit. I moan and he says “who makes you feel like this y/n who”
Barely able to think straight be cause of the pleasure he was giving me I managed to say “only you josh” “That’s right baby your mine and only mine” he growls as he eats me out.
He comes up and leans down and takes off his boxers. His large member flies up and I lowly gasp as he smirks and within seconds he plunges into me and I feel so much pain I bite shoulder and scratch his back. But it quickly turns to pleasure as he thrusts hard and deep into me each time. I starts to scream his name and he starts giving me hickeys all over my body and I scratch his back, sure to leave marks in the morning.
I can feel my orgasm coming and I say “J-josh I-I-I’m gonna” and he says “Cum with me baby and that’s sends me over the edge and he spills with me. He lays there in me and resting on me with his forearms on either side of my head to not put all his weight on me for a few moments until he pulls out and rolls over wiping the sweat off of both our faces.
I whimper at the loss of contact and he pulls me on top of him and I quit. "Y/n I love you and have loved you for a very long time so when that guy started talking to you it made me mad and I got jealous I know you probably feel like this is just a one night stand but I was wondering if you’d be my girlfriend.”
I was astonished he’d asked me “Yes of course Josh I would never just want a one night stand with you I love you and would love to be together.” That night i fell asleep on top of Josh. When i woke up I was super SUPER sore. I rolled off of Josh and groaned really loudly.
This woke up Josh and within a matter of seconds he hovered over me “are you okay” he asked worriedly. “Ya I’m just kinda sore from last night.” “I’m so sorry you should have told me to stop or go easier” he said as he looked at all the bruises and hickeys he left all over you.
He got up and grabbed a pair of boxers and slipped them on. I told him “It’s alrighty baby I had so much fun last night and I don’t regret a thing you shouldn’t either.” He smiled and replied “I don’t deserve you.” And handed me his shirt as I reassured him he does deserve me and I’m the lucky one.
I tried to get up but very quickly fell back down in pain. Josh caught me and apologized again I wish he wouldn’t do that if I was having a bad time I would have told him it was my decision too.
Josh picked me up and carried me to the kitchen and made me breakfast, when Conor and Jack came in.
“Really getting at it last night weren’t you guys.” Conor said and I blushed and hid my face with my hands. Then Jack added “OH JOSH OH JOSH OM MY GAAAAAAAAA JOSH” I’m a really high voice. Josh walked over to me and handed me toast and I thanked him and kissed him.
All the sudden Jack looked at Josh’s back and called Conor over and they gasped and touched his back and he flinched and hissed. I immediately turned him around to see what was wrong and there were deep scratches and dark red marks. “Wow y/n has hickeys and bruises all over her and can’t walk and Josh has got scratches and bite marks on him I didn’t know you guys were so rough.” Conor said
I hid my face in Josh’s neck and apologized profusely. “Baby it’s alright it’s not that bad you can’t even walk!” Josh told me. “Wait really she can’t walk!!?” Jack said surprised and Josh nodded them they highfived to which I just hid my face in Josh’s chest. He carried me to the couch and we lazier around and watched movies all day.
