Hello!! Just a heads up that I’ll be opening up comissions tomorrow at around noon EST! So, keep an eye out if you’re interested 😊

They’ll be a little different this round as I won’t be offering my usual fully rendered pieces. They’ll be more like this image as well as my inktober posts from this year. I’ve redrawn a couple of my favorite inktober drawings from 2022 (like this one!) as examples as well, so there will be no confusion. I think this is one of my favorite exchanges with Morrigan and Alistair. She's really challenging him and asking like hey. Who are you really: Alistair the Grey Warden, or Alistair the Templar? Like, she sees straight through to the core of the issue. For all that she doesn't like him, she does understand him in many ways. Because it really is an instance of Alistair giving a knee jerk reaction by spouting his templar training.

But if you (the Warden specifically, because Morrigan just make him defensive) push him on it, you can get him to see past it. Like all it takes for Alistair to agree to let Jowan go (like fully leave Redcliffe even) with no disaproval with a persuasion check of "I can't leave him here to die, can you?" And... he can't. Even though he's a blood mage who literally poisoned his uncle.

I just think this moment with Jowan has the potential to be a real crux point for Alistair and his identity. Its a moment where he has to make a choice- who are you really: a templar, or a Grey Warden? Because the wardens don't forbid blood magic. Templars do. So if Alistair lets Jowan go, its one more step away from the templars and into the Wardens. He has to choose which order he would rather emulate. Which values will he will hold himself to. And if you push him on it, actually make him think about it, he's more of a Warden than a Templar any day.
