Hi, I had this question in mind since I joined the jttw fandom --I'm still a novice on it-- but the ship peachbuds and shadowpeach are the same ship? Because they have the same dynamics. Peachbuds is from the monkeyking series 2009, the ship between Wukong and Liu er, and with shadowpeach is the same characters shipped, then I think it's the same ship then?

Yeah, they’re 2 versions of the ship between Sun Wukong & the Six-Eared Macaque. Genuinely baffling the sheer number of people who asked if the Monkey King should smooch his evil twin & went “yeah <3”

Drupe Family AU: Red Boy/Son

-Drupe Fruit: cherry

-nicknames: candle head, firecracker, baby boy, red, hot head,

-has a bit of self esteem issues about having the Samadhi Fire sealed away. Wants to prove to his parents that he is still a powerful demon worth being proud of. His relationship with his parents is much more healthy than in the canon show.

-His parents are disappointed at the lose of his powers but they still love him. DBK and PIF try to find other ways to make their son powerful again. If not in magical terms, then in martial arts, tactical and intellectual terms. It’s frustrating for all of them but they make the most out of the situation.

- Red Boy lives with DBK. PIF regularly visits before JTTW. After the Xiaotian was hatched, DBK asked her to come live with him to help raise Xiaotian. She most of her time at his mountain until it’s time to Dan the flames at her mountain. After JTTW/the sealing she permanently moves in with him and Red Boy.

-DBK tells him stories of his sworn brothers. Until JTTW, the all assumed dead/captured by heaven including Sun Wukong. Red Boy only knows of the old Sun Wukong and admires him. It a bit taken aback by post JTTW Sun Wukong. He can’t believe that the monkey his father told him stories about is the same “tame” monkey he currently knows. Sun Wukong does eventually win him over. MonkeyKing loves to tease him due to his explosive short temper. Monkey King think he has such funny reactions. He help Red Boy with his other forms of magic and martial arts.

- Red boy was jealous of all the attention given to Xiaotian when he was first hatched. He was used to being the center of attention. (Toddler’s first jealousy might be the reason why he lost control of the Samadhi Fire in this AU. Is a mixture of the fear of being replaced in his parents hearts, not used to sharing anything before, used to getting his way, and just big emotions in a little body.) after the sealing and Sun Wukong comes back to raise Xiaotian, does he come to terms with the changes.

- once his fears are quelled, he actually warms up(heh) to Xiaotian. Red Boy becomes a protective older cousin to him. Sun Wukong give him the “duty” look out for and guide his younger cousin. It gives him a sense of agency and responsibility. Something he felt like he lost after the sealing.

- Red Boy alway had a back for inventing but doesn’t really get into it until the modern show era.
