julian found out he was an augment at 15 and I’m sure he had a lot of (extremely justified) huge emotions about that but because of his age I can’t help imagining dealing with them in the most hilariously over the top teen agnsty way possible.
he’s writing bad poetry about it. he’s dying his hair black. he’s listening to this animal I have become by three days grace and monster by skillet on the shuttle to school. it’s amazing.
AU where Zane Ninjago is the previous master of ice. like when he transferred his elemental powers over he also transferred his soul and he low-key reincarnated into this robo-body. cool beans. this means there's the potential of Zane starting to glimpse bits and pieces of past and not knowing why he can see it. the things master Wu talks about--why can he see them as if he were there?--he feels like he has experienced personally. give Zane a whole other crisis on top of after he finds out he's a nindriod not a human. this also means Zane in old clothes and styles from Master Wu's time whenever he has flashbacks which is a neat visual. like heck you could have someone other than Wu have previous villains that show up! you could balance that out a bit! Master of Ice's previous nemesis shows up ready to throw down when they discover he's technically still alive but also not. Zane questioning if this is his life at all. if he's Zane or someone else. If he was Zane before or if he was nothing. If he's Zane now or if he never was to begin with
✨ a film for every year of my life ✨ | A Room With a View (1985) dir. James Ivory
He's the sort who can't know anyone intimately, least of all a woman. He doesn't know what a woman is. He wants you for a possession, something to look at, like a painting or an ivory box. Something to own and to display. He doesn't want you to be real, and to think and to live. He doesn't love you. But I love you. I want you to have your own thoughts and ideas and feelings, even when I hold you in my arms.
some extra info abt the brittany broski situation is that before her most recent podcast ep she posted smth on her close friends ig story saying that ppl asking her to talk about palestine was “dystopian” and like a black mirror episode or smth so that’s what most ppl are talking about w her! she still obviously showed her support now and doesn’t deserve the hate at ALL (esp cause it should be focused at elected officials) but ya there’s some more context!!
I mean that is accurate! this is dystopian! It's very fucking weird to live in a world where literal genocide is happening, but all that REALLY matters is that someone posts a tweet about it quickly enough, otherwise you don't care. That is dystopian. and basically seeing a script for what to say being handed to you, showing the emptiness of the gesture. meanwhile the actual topic of human suffering is miles away. just ticking boxes.
Garak's the type of bitch that would go on a tirade the first time he sees Kukalaka, full-blast asking every question and balking at every answer and going off on a philosophical spiel about the implications of such a ferocious earth beast being a children's toy and what it implies about Julian's psyche that he has kept it all these years - and in such poor physical condition! - all while hugging Kukalaka to his chest. When Julian interrupts him to smugly point this out, Garak just scoffs and walks into another room, still hugging Kukalaka.
The next time Julian even sees the toy is weeks later and it's mysteriously acquired a full fashionable wardrobe, and when Garak is questioned about it, he just scoffs again and says if it's going to plague their quarters with its ghastly appearance it may as well be useful and model some of Garak's new designs. It's very practical, he's saving a lot of fabric by doing it this way, you see. And no, that is not a replica of Julian's favorite shirt. It might appear that way to an untrained eye like the doctor's, but it is entirely different, actually.
Sorry if someone's already made this poll I am just DYING to know if anyone else finds it hard to believe, as the show seems to expect us to do, that he entirely failed to notice both these things.
Speaking for myself, I can accept the possibility that Julian was clever enough to hide his enhancements from even a trained spy, especially given his decades of practice at it. But personally I just cannot believe Garak didn't at least suspect something was off when Julian got replaced.
