Little vent about ED recovery <3

One of the hardest things of recovering from an ED is becoming a complete stranger to your own body. I know I'm not fat anymore, and part of me mourns the confidence and indifference I had when I was fat (before my ED, that is). I am reluctant to call myself skinny, partially because I'm still recovering from the mindset of never being skinny enough and partially because I have no concept of what skinny is anymore after nearly two years of idealizing unhealthily skinny bodies.

If I ask my mom what my body is, she'd say "perfect"

If I ask my girlfriend, she'd say "beautiful"

I would ask my best friend, but I don't have a best friend anymore.

It's hard looking in the mirror and seeing someone you don't know, with no accurate words to describe them.

I know it's strike days now so there's a huge focus on boosting Palestinian voices, but I just wanted to share that we finally got my mum in to be checked for cancer today and the doctors said there's nothing to worry about! She's in the clear! Mum's gonna be okay! The relief is HUGE you've no idea!!!
