REVIEW

Okay, I loved this episode :D. Nobody really fighting, which PHEW, that was a nice break for once xD Like there was a bit of contention but nothing much. But AAHHHHH THOSE LAST 5 MINUTES!! I was just barely behind on my liveblogging and then ALL OF THAT HAPPENED lol xD. Anyway, I don't think I'm gonna get this out tonight because I want to take a nap before getting up in two hours, but I'll put a bit down lol.

Okay, first, Perez! Because I was just talking about him lol, and I don't always have to go in order of importance (plot wise or sometimes just to me xD) or drama, be that most to least or vice versa, but anyway XD.

Yeah, I didn't see him anywhere in the promo. I mean maaaybe he was in the background but probably not, I think it's more likely that Powell was somewhere in the background - he's kinda gonna be going through it xdd.

But yeah, I think he's DEFINITELY gonna be struggling and going through a bunch of stuff, and I hope he doesn't deny that. I really hope we don't just not see him though, that he's taking time off or something and we'll see him struggle with the less-direct aftermath later. I know there will be a lot going on with Lea and probably some normal cases too, but he deserves to have some of that more immediate stuff explored. I think it takes us a step deeper into his character development to actually see this (not that it was required, but it is a way), if only faster through seeing the immediate aftermath. I really hope him and Jordan make it out of this though :(. And I mean, if they don't, I'll live, but I really hope they're happy 😭😭. So anyway, yeah xD 😭😭😬. It's about to be wild, and I hope he gets through this ❤️❤️. It'll be a tough journey <3.

Relating a bit, let's go with Jordan next. I really think she should be careful and all, I stand by that, but right now they've got bigger fish to fry lol. I really do hope they can push through this, honestly 😭. Like it's a complication of everything but that happens, yk? Life throws wrenches your way, and you just have to deal with it and try your best. I hope it doesn't mess with her too bad, finding him, because I'm sure it's different for a loved one (or yk a friend bc idk if they're close enough friends to use loved one yet, but anyway xD) than a patient. And I really just hope she gets the chance to help in every way she can :'(( <333. My babeys deserve to be happyyyy 😭😭😭. I would say especially Jordan since she's been my babey longer but Danny doesn't deserve that xD. And yeah, maaaybe soon I'll start calling him Danny lol.

OKAY it's been like a month, or two? I think? However long, it's the night of the next episode XD. Yes, I've been procrastinating a BUNCH, but in my defense I've been busy. So. I think I may have to rewatch the episode to finish the review? ALRIGHT SO! I skipped through the episode a bit and looked at some of my posts to piece together my memories, and I think I've got most of the main points XD. These sections will be short because I don't remember much about the cases (I skipped through but watched more of the endings than I did the other times), or many details xD.

Park and Morgan! JUST TELL HERRRRR!!! I'm really glad to see that they are capable of working together (like how Morgan was actually being nice about him and not trash talking him to his date lol), but I still want them back together!!! They're still in love, whether they like it or not xd. It's a bit annoying that it's continuing to go on, but it makes sense too. They're both stubborn, and it's only been 8 episodes - I don't think they'll push a getting back together all the way to the season finale, but who knows ┐⁠(⁠ ⁠∵⁠ ⁠)⁠┌! They may. I think it's more likely we go a few more episodes of them truly realizing they want to be back together, though, and then it'll finally happen lol XD. But, whatever happens, I love them 🥰🥰❤️.

Asher! And, I'll throw in Jerome too :D. We didn't see much of either of them this episode, but as always I love them 🥰🥰🥰. Asher was living his best life being in the middle of everyone's business today and I love that for him XD. I'm glad Jerome's back (last week was the week he was missing, right?), and though I don't remember details about his appearances, I'm sure he did great :)) (at like. his job lol). And if I remember correctly this is the episode Asher warned Jordan? Yeeeah, I would want to be careful about you guys leading each other on and you're weird dance and what not, but now there's more pressing matters to deal with xD. Still, if that was this episode lol, I'm glad Asher's watching out for Jordan :). Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was this episode, looking at my section on Jordan lol. Anyway, Asher might be judging a bit harshly but he was being a good bestie :). And again (as I said I mean) he was looking for all the tea this episode XDD.

LIMMM. Let's talk xdd. OKAY, so, obviously for her sake I do hope she's able to walk again, and that everything goes well, and that things keep going well with Clay. I'm a little iffy on "fixing" a disabled character, but I'm not sure how permanent I ever expected it to be, and we do still have Powell. Plus, it's not like I DON'T want Lim to live a life where you don't have to deal with a disability, it's just that it's not required. I think they did pretty well with that, though, since we got to see her struggle and then be genuinely happy with her life. That was good, and I'm glad we saw it :').

BUT THE PROPOSAL!!! Like??? Sir???? Haven't y'all just been dating for like a couple months??? Maybe even weeks??? AAHHHH????!!?! XDDD. I mean, I do want them (mostly Lim, no offense Clay, lol) to be happy, and they are adorable 🥰🥰, but. WOW. xdd. It was kinda out of left field, Clay, lol. But, it was a really sweet gesture :')). You know, the whole, "I'm all in" thing :'D. I just checked the scene to make sure I was getting stuff right and I believe that's what he said, anyway lol. But also, STILL LOL! Still wild XDD. So yeah! AAHHHHHH, I'm super excited and interested to see/in seeing where that goes xDD. CRAZY, lol. Still, them ❤️❤️❤️.

As for Powell, I too would check the book XD. I think I'd just want to know lol. But eh, maybe I'd have more self control. Still, I'm glad she and Perez aren't gonna be constantly in that heavy of competition - I just feel like it's better this way, much less stressful xD. Like I said at the beginning, we finally got mostly nobody fighting this episode lol, at least not huge feuds, and I'd like to keep that going for a bit XDD. But, anyway, she did great this episode and I'm proud of her :). Plus, like I said, I'm happy she and Perez are better xD 🥰🥰.

Also, quick note on Glassman: amazing as always, even if he was hovering around Lim bit lol. I liked how he helped Shaun figure out that his scoring system was a distraction! It's nice to see him still be a mentor to Shaun, even as he's much more independent :). I just- their relationship, y'all 🥰🥰🥰. Anyway, I'm nervous but excited for how the surgery went (I imagine he'll be involved in that plot lol) :)). Love him, he was good this episode!

I don't think we really saw Andrews, but I'll say that the thing about assigning work to Lea was funny xD, if not nice lol. I forgive you, Andrews xD. But yeah, I don't remember if we saw him or not, but I'm sure he was great as always ❤️🥰. Hopefully we'll see more of him next episode :)).

I'm glad for all the communication this episode! I mean, they had their struggles, but they acknowledged them and talked openly about their feelings - that's always great to see with these two 🥰. They're honestly really good at it! I mean, just as an example, Lea admitting and knowing that she was being selfish. Also y'all I can't they just love each other so much 😭😭❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰❤️😭. But AAHHHHHH they're going to buy a house :DDD!!! Y'all I can't I'm so excited, and happy for them :'))). They're moving on to the next stage of their lives, and it's amazing <333.

BUT ALSO AAAHHHHHHHHH I'M STILL SCARED xddd.

Overall, I really enjoyed this episode. We had a nice spread of focus for honestly most of our gang, and they were all really good plots. Plus, the last 5 minutes we're crazy xD. But, the cases were great, there were some funny moments mixed in with some really serious moments, and it was honestly just a good time. I think it was a great winter finale with everything that went on, so even though it set up several things that scare me lol, I loved it. I just hope I won't be screaming about hating (not really) it after the next episode lol. Shaun and Lea, plus Perez, and Lim - don't betray me xd.

I have to prepare a return gift for the little rabbit, who is probably mass-producing sweets by now.

Gilbert: "So, what do you like, little rabbit?"

In a kitchen filled with a sweet aroma that almost gives me heartburn, the little rabbit rolls her eyes.

There was already a large quantity of cupcakes on the workbench, and the oven was still running.

(As expected, you even make sweets for me; you're such a good-natured person.)

Recently, the little rabbit seems to have become more open-minded due to her isolation as "a young lady who is close to Obsidian."

And she no longer hesitates to involve the prince of an enemy country in such an event.

Gilbert: "I'll make you whatever you want to eat, little rabbit."

Emma: "Umm..."

It was something I had a personal attachment to.

I divide the raisin sandwiches and cupcakes among several empty plates and place them on the bed.

Emma: "Are you going to eat there?"

Gilbert: "Because tea is here."

Teacups that could not be placed on the table are lined up on the bedside table.

The little rabbit seemed to agree, and we both sat down with our plates between us.

Emma: "Then一一"

I grab the raisin sandwich before the little rabbit reaches for it.

When I brought it to her small mouth as if I were feeding a small animal, she gave me a quizzical look.

Emma: "I'll eat it myself."

Gilbert: "Do you want to be force-fed?"

Emma: "……Bon appétit."

The little rabbit opens her mouth and nibbles on the sweets.

As she munched and swallowed, her little head tilted suspiciously.

Gilbert: "Is it good?"

Emma: "Can I have another one?"

I push the remaining raisin sandwich into the lips of the baby rabbit and wipe the faintest crumbs with my fingertips.

Normally, she would have been embarrassed, but today, she seemed to be having none of it.

Gilbert: "Rabbit, what do you think?"

Emma: "It tastes…"

Emma: "It tastes... nothing!"

Gilbert: "Good, I think I got it right."

I pick up the raisin sandwich and toss it into my mouth this time.

The baby rabbit's opinion is not a lie; it tastes amazingly bland.

Gilbert: "I eat it, and it still tastes bad."

Emma: "...I thought my tongue had gone crazy."

Gilbert: "Don't worry, it's just a snack."

Emma: "Oh, is there a trend in Obsidian for sweets that have no taste?"

2. what is your blog or graphic aesthetic or motif? why? It's mostly whatever @ppctts makes me because I CANNOT DO ANYTHING aesthetic XD but honestly she's made me so many pretty things and it's mostly around Kaylee being a sunshine, sunflower, star child and I am so grateful to Gin that she spends any amount of time making me these pretty things. 7. what universe have you never considered writing in? why? uuuuh well I'm sure there are some universes/fandoms that I'm not familiar with/even realize exist so those because of my ignorance LOL but I'm gonna say for the same reason DC stuff?? It's intimidating and like yeah I'm here for comics but I just don't know DC that well and I don't wanna try to manipulate DC story lines to the already complicated Marvel shit XD

16. how have your faceclaim choices changed over time? So Happy once upon a time was Michael Weatherly in an oooooold thing I wrote, back before I really had an idea of his character beyond the little bits we get in comics. But when I decided to bring him on for the sole purpose of simping after @ppctts the queen of fcs @dr-foster suggested Jay Ryan because of IT Chapter 2 and honestly I have not looked back.

For Kay, admittedly I had a very different FC for her adult verses but that person has since been what's the nice way of saying triggering and just not a good person. I don't always change my FCs over cancel culture stuff because I believe people are allowed to make mistakes but this was beyond even my comfort level. But I'm so glad I changed Kay's adult fc to be Joanna Garcia Swisher. She's precious and adorable and it really gave me an avenue to explore this kind of character further than what I had originally thought of, plus Joanna was originally my @cheeseburgersandwarbirds FC for Carol before we stumbled upon the amazing Yvonne and I thought it was a nice call back to our gaia days XD

19. who was the first faceclaim you remember using, who? for what canon? So throw back to gaia days in 2009 I was in fact using RDJ for my Tony. It wasn't too long after the first Iron Man movie came out when my lovely Noon invited me to come write with her. But it was before I knew much about the comics. So I decided to go back and throw myself into the comics reading from the very beginning when I realized Tony was a little different in the comics than the movie. He was younger, blue-eyed, had a sort of classic rat pack charm that didn't exactly translate into the movie because they were going more for his sarcastic vibe which was fine but I realized I really enjoyed comic book Tony more and around the same time there was this show called White Collar and just Neal Caffrey had all the charm, vibe, good nature, snark, intelligence, and suave that comic Tony had and so it wasn't very long that I started using Matt Bomer as my Tony FC also back in 2009 and honestly I've never looked back.

23. What skills have you gained by roleplaying? uuuuh typing rather quickly without looking at the computer???? XDD I don't know. Maybe some patience? I've learned a lot about myself, and I've learned that not everyone is going to like you. It stings sometimes but when I get focused on the people who love and care for me it outweighs a lot of the negative that comes with RPing.

IIRC @legendsofamultishipper also asked me about my favourite dynamics in her ask.

If I were to pick a true number one, it'd be "the team". The group dynamic itself and how it's progressing due to the complications of their stay in the wilderness is absolutely fascinating. The pull and push of the embryos of "factions" building, the tension, the mutations or distance or deepening of past dynamics, the slow build (kind of wish it was even SLOWER, I like that xD) to the cult we've been hinted at... I'm into that shit xDD

Small aside: someone else has probably raised the possibility, but I've wondered whether there will be just one (1) antler queen (Lottie as the favourite, Shauna as the spoiler, IMO XD), OR if it'll be a rotating position so everyone is "equally" to blame, iykwim? Idk, I think if there'd been just one (1) girl in charge the dynamics among them in the future would be different (although I'd have to see more of the others vis a vis Lottie to be sure. Natalie is hostile towards her but that's not as clear-cut, and I think if Lottie had been Completely In Charge it'd make more sense for her to be waaaaaaaaay beyond hostile and snarky lol). I mean, unless my half-joke theory turns to be true and it was Mari until there was an uprising against her xDD

After that... I must go with Jackie and Shauna. I find it really engaging, everything I could've asked for in terms of messy toxic teen girlfriendship LOL. The only caveat it's that Jackie's death and the consequent stagnation of their relationship is a double-edged sword: yes, it adds a fascinating component, especially in the future when you see how NOT OVER IT Shauna remains... but it means there's no advancement, no possible deeper exploration from half of the relationship (barring the show going full supernatural and resurrecting Jackie I guess xD, but it's doubtful). Jackie's doomed by the narrative and that's part of what I like about her, but it also means that Jackie-the-person, instead of Jackie-the-construct, has little to contribute from now on. All of this is to say: right now these two occupy the second position, but other relationships have more possibilities to grow in my esteem going forward.

For number three, I'm choosing Misty and Natalie. It's hilarious and weirdly heartwarming in the creepiest of ways xD, and I simply enjoy every second of them on my screen. Misty's fixation and admiration of Natalie could be enough to write an essay, and I also love wondering about how much their moments in 1x09-1x10 were Natalie genuinely warming up a little to Misty and how much it was Natalie needing her help LOL.

Positions four and five could vary going forward (there are so many dynamics that have gone underexplored for now but that I'm IMMENSELY curious about). But as of now, I'm going to pick Taissa and Van. This interview was an eye-opener. I already like them from what we've seen, but I'm really banking on their potential as exes in the present timeline because you guys all know I loooooove a good exes plot. Add that whatever is going on with mirror!Tai wanting to see Van again... I'm Looking 👀

I'd say either Lottie and Laura Lee or Lottie and Natalie. The first has that prophet/disciple flavour going on that I find superb, but we run into a similar problem as Jackie-Shauna (even more, given how comparatively little we have of Laura Lee vs. Jackie). Lottie and Nat still have a lot to say, IMO. I feel like we've barely scratched the surface in comparison, and I want to see more, but I'm not quite there. Shauna and Tai are a good pair too, but they've given me less in the last few episodes.

Since I already tagged her: @legendsofamultishipper also asked me about my favourite and least favourite characters.

My favourites could also be encompassed by "the team", although I obviously have preferences lol. Misty and Lottie are likely at the very top (Misty is unhinged and I can't look away from the crash, Lottie has the heretic messiah thing going for her), with Taissa and Natalie not far behind, Shauna as the !!!!! option, Jackie as a great Dead Girl TM, Vanessa has a lot of potential, and Mari and Crystal are simply hilarious...

As for "least favourite"... I don't hate anybody, but I reiterate that I don't care for the normies AT ALL. Like, nothing. "Oh this character is having a Rough Time" were they in the crash? Did they have to survive in the wilderness? No? Then I'm not paying any attention to them. My empathy is fully turned off, trust me xDD. My hierarchy is girls in the crash >>> boys in the crash >>>>>>> normies. But I'm mainly neutral about (and sometimes amused by) them. The ones I'd say I dislike the most are the cop characters, especially that moustache one, or Randy, or Adam... but it's a ~mute dislike, iykwim. They're unlikeable people, I just don't care about them as characters.

Did I just drop a comic announcement? You bet!

So so sooooooooo this little thing I'm working on. Well I say little, but it seems to be knocking on 20-ish pages on average per part so far, but bLAGH I'll get to mega blast through it with the changes I'm making to my comic formula

DotS: Magolor's Mechanical Mayhem! — Or DotS: MMM for short! (Say it out loud like words, trust me— I've been laughing over this title for like a week and a half and it will not cease to be entertaining XDD Join me in the giggles LOL)

This takes place a year before the events of DotS, and focuses on (to nobody's surprise at this point) Magolor. This entails the events of Planet Robobot from his perspective, and how he aided behind the scenes in DotS' version of that story!

For timeline reference, pretty much every mainline/canon Kirby game aside from Allies and Forgotten Land up to this point have already occurred; I make minor references and hints to this throughout all the knicknacks Kirby has in his house! Star Allies occurs just a month before DotS!

In this 6-part prequel mini-series, we follow along Magolor as he uses his wit, technological skills, and magical talents to help Kirby and Bandana Dee take down Haltmann's invasion with tactile precision.

Fresh and familiar faces will appear in this comic, including characters of my own design as well as my sister's, @starlightfyre ! (Be sure to follow her for fresh content soon!! She had to remake her Tumblr account like I did)

Since this story precedes the events of DotS by an entire year, we won't see Twyla. She's still off adventuring among the stars during this whole debacle, and totally clueless. LOL

This whole thing is will set up a lot of what I've got going in the renewed story of DotS, and will be a super fun (and occasionally deep) adventure for you all to enjoy as I finish setting up DotS' main story!

First off, I am a white woman writing him. I headcanon that sexuality and racial issues don't really exist in Twisted Wonderland (other than with humans and fairies, I suppose...) so this isn't something I will touch on. However, I completely understand if any of you would rather not write with my Sam because of this. I have no idea if this will be a problem, but I just wanted to make it transparent and let you guys know this ahead of time~

oh boy i need to do a lot of research on voodoo stuff XDD IVE ALWAYS THOUGHT VOODOO IS SUPER NEAT, plus I've been to New Orleans and LOVED the older side of it~ all that added together with my love for Princess and the Frog and you got why i care he XDD this turned into a bit of a ramble instead of a bullet point but eh what the hell~

Anways, I need to do more research on voodoo to come up with an actual signature spell for him, but I know it has something to do with his shadow. It will be an inherited signature spell too~ Dr. Facilier (who is directly related to Sam) had to as well, and that's how he could make his deals with his "friends".

My Sam has all of the tattoos that he has in the Japanese version~ They aren't on his alt fc, but that's just because I'm lazy LOL!! I wonder if those markings mean something, because it isn't the first time I've seen tattoos like those on a character who is connected to voodoo, so I'll research that as well~

I AM NOT GOING TO SHIP SAM WITH ANY STUDENTS!! Not even Leona. He's 25 plus a staff member, so I'm not interested in that~ He may be shipped with oc adults or Crewel, but otherwise, no romantic ships~

Adding onto that, if I have a thread where he's interacting with someone he CANT be shipped with (like a student), he's actually married to my sister's OC Evan!! for your WIP ask game, I am most intrigued by "arthur's got no sense what a prat" because that is a most excellent document title and also sums up arthur in a nutshell 🤣

I honestly cackle every time I see the wip title lmaooooo. Its tentative title is "What The Shadows Hide", but I'm still very unsure about that one.

This fic is my very first venture into writing for Merlin! Despite the fact that I've been in love with this show for more than 10 years lol! And I've always read hurt!Merlin fics for this fandom, but apparently my brain wanted hurt!Arthur for my first fic OH WELL XDD So it's over 30k of angsty hurty Arthur, and some slight hurt!Merlin because WHY NOT.

An assassin is loose in Camelot, and Arthur has been suddenly cursed into losing one of his senses every day. Naturally, he's super angsty about this because he hates being vulnerable and it gets worse with every sense he loses, with his father growing increasingly distant, with Gaius not able to find a solution or a way to help even though time is fast running out, but of course Merlin is on the case to find a way to stop the curse no matter how hopeless it seems.

Merlin is a bit of an awesome servant in this fic to be honest, he keeps trying to lift Arthur's spirits and not let him drown in his own head, and there are some nice friendship moments between them. Honestly it's been really fun exploring ways to write their friendship, even if it might be a little awkward because I'm not used to writing for them AT ALL lol. The weird thing is, I'm awkward writing everyone…except Uther and Gaius??? Their voices just come out so naturally?? Should I be writing about them instead lol???

The fic is in the final stages so it should be posted soon enough, even if I have been hesitant about sharing it lol. But I'm kinda proud of myself for finally writing a Merlin fic after all this time, posting it up on my AO3 page will be like sticking a picture I'm proud of up onto the fridge XDDD

The feast picked up in pace and noise again, music and chatter filling the room and echoing off of the stone walls. Servants bustled back and forth with their trays of food and drink, soldiers and knights laughed and slapped each other on the back, noble men and women preened and gossiped with each other. It was a banquet like any other, happy and free and celebratory, with laughter and cheer.

It felt in terribly bad taste.

Arthur wasn’t one to shoot down a successful mission. The encampment of sorcerers had been taken out, after all. Cleanly and swiftly and with no casualties on their side. It was everything Camelot could hope for.

But to celebrate killing other people seemed distasteful, whether they were practitioners of magic or not. He wasn't new to bloodshed by any means, sometimes killing was unavoidable; but to have music and laughter and entertainment afterwards sent something uncomfortable shivering down his spine.

Arthur picked up his goblet and held it out to the side, wiggling it pointedly.

Merlin, hovering close behind and to his right, responded immediately, a pitcher of wine in his hands and a raised eyebrow on his face. He looked an awful lot like Gaius when he did that. “Perhaps you should take it easy on the wine, my lord,” he murmured as he poured, voice barely audible under the music.

Arthur sent him a sardonic look. “And perhaps you should shut up.”

Merlin rolled his eyes and moved away, and Arthur drank from his goblet again, revelling in the way the wine warmed its way through his body and in his veins and up into his head until things became a little more fuzzy.

They had been sorcerers. So he shouldn’t feel so strange about it. Sorcerers were the enemy, they were dangerous, and they had to be stopped. A single magic user alone could cause untold damage; five of them banded together on the borders of Camelot had been far too great of a risk to simply let go.

Arthur eyed the crowded hall, the smiling faces and the easy going attitudes. His father beside him, laughing with Morgana.

He drank again.

Secure, but not weird - say, if you were alone and had to ask some random person in public to help you XDDD

I would need help especially if it was near a super busy road or going up or down really steep steps

However you were 100% right about the run away model strut. If he saw you were a bit nervous he’d tell you to imagine you were practicing on a runaway while whispering how great you’re doing!

Also he’d never admit it but he loves when you latch on to him, it makes him feel so close to you and he wishes you would do it more often! (The latch on arm thing not crossing a busy street together pft)

Yoosung:

I died with laughter because it’s SO RIGHT

Like the first time you’re on a date he cannot for the life of him calm down

Not only because you automatically wrapped your arm around his which made him almost have a HEART ATTACK but because your boy cannot think properly in these situations

You’d be like “Yoosung it’s fine, I’ve done this countless of times.”

And he’d still be panicking

He’d be so nervous he’d even point out things that aren’t even in your way..?

She also loves having your arm around hers and always squeezes reassuringly if you get nervous!

When you’re in Mint Eye it makes him so nervous but he becomes used to it and he learns to become less nervous. Since they’re constructing in there he will literally make sure every path is clear and you aren’t in danger of tripping over anything

Overall boy is nervous but is a great guide, 10/10

All the ghosts were living for the chaos this episode and I was living for it xD. I mean, they usually are lol, but they had the especially sneaky drams-loving ones mainly involved lol. That certainly did not help Sam and Jay xD.

Also their poor friends xD. Thinking the entire (okay well like half) the time that they were gonna be murdered 💀. That's what you get for making slightly weird comments guys xD. Jokes in the moment, threats/promises later lol.

Now here's what I'm wondering: if Flower's still a ghost (I was gonna say alive dead again because alive was my go to but I've said that a lot lol), what was the pillar of light? They said one of the basement ghosts didn't disappear, and Crash was there, so: who was it?

So, yeah!! It was an absolutely amazing episode, I really liked it :). Halloween in March could've felt a little weird, but it was really fun lol!! Probably helped it not feel to out of town by the fact that Halloween wasn't a big focus (stuff happened and worked because of Halloween, but the focus was the stuff, ig, if that makes sense) lol. Anyway!! Everybody slayed this episode :DD. And just once again OH MY GOSH FLOWER AND CAROL ARE GHOSTS!! Flower still, because SHE'S ALIVE (DEAD)!! Still shocked over that lol. The well makes total sense though, poor girl xd. Love her <3 🥰. Also she sounded so scared down there 😭🥺. Poor girlie <33. But, yeah, I loooved this episode :D. It was so good!!

Last part of the writer ask game - thanks for sending me questions~ 🌈is there a fic that you worked *really fucking hard on* that no one would ever know? maybe a scene/theme you struggled with?

Oohh, that's a hard one. I'm not confident in writing long fics for now (cuz I suddenly get frustrated with my plots and think they aren't interesting enough so I keep them in wips for years). I still have many webtoons outlines almost fully written out that no one would ever see. but to see if I have something posted and not from my kpop group... I do want to joke about that one time I had to write SeanWhite xDD Okay, but for real it'd probably be that one PatPran story no one really read? But for me PatPran are really-really relatable because my parents are divorced and I spent my young years being torn apart between competing, hate, inconsiderate words from one parent to another and being confused cuz I loved both of them. It made me be good at hiding and pretending, and lying and navigating through this, and then I wrote my only(?) short patpran fic. With no plot, nothing, really, probably no one bat an eye if they were reading it. But it contains some of my life-long frustration there. "Are you really going to celebrate such an important day of your life without your parents? I know I can't let my parents miss it. But we can't have both families in the same room. How are you going to choose?"

Ouch, that was a lot.

Definitely "Not Me, Not You, But This Is Where We Are Needed" (I still regret this long name, my wip is called different and I can't remember the proper name now xD)!

I just randomly wrote it as "lmao, Not Me x Eclipse crossover can be so much fun! Imagine Yok and Ayan doing shenanigans in Suppalo! Imagine Akk getting into the gang!" and then everyone got so excited and anticipating and thinking about it that I got scared cuz I did not plan such a huge and profound outline and now I feel like I have to provide a cool big long fic for everyone that I'm rewriting my idea now but I'm still not satisfied with it xD Yeah. Definitely did not expect this response.

🍭why did you start writing?

I've been in fandom creative communities for a long time. I don't even know when I started, really. From a very young age - back when we sketched anime girls on school notebook pages, or shaman king drawings in paint or played pretend as naruto characters and read akatsuki au cracks and wanted to roleplay on forums. We'd imagine a character in the universe, make a profile and roleplay with each other in text forms. Those forums still exist and they are very high quality now! And then we had Fandom Combats where it's basically all-fandoms competition-festivals and we needed to write and draw and create a lot of things and when you didn't have enough people, you had to do the best you could yourself. It's an under-known, under-appreciated piece of beautiful music. Some of my generation will also remember it as the Beatrix Potter theme song lol, so there's some nostalgia to be had there. Yo I just want to say thank you for all the inspiration, I love deep sciencey world building and you've got me writing again. I'm actually working on a fic set on Junkion and I was wondering if I could solicit your expert opinion.

What would the geology be like on a pile of garbage in space that grew so massive it became a planet from its own gravity. I'm imagining crushed garbage into paper thin sheets, with endless variations in composition. Do you think the denser material would gravitate more towards the core? Or would that not matter?

I understand that it's a lot to ask so don't worry about it. I just wanted to bounce an idea around and say thank you for being your intergalactic planetary cool ass self.

A quick note - most of this is not super hard science, because I'm just a geology student and my research had to be limited to stuff I could actually understand lmao. Mostly I've come up with some major worldbuilding questions to think about - you've got a lot of options, I think! Lots of potentially fun ideas to explore. :D

So. I think the development of Junkion is going to be more or less the same as the development of a regular rocky planet, except for a couple rather important factors:

Accretion process? How quickly did it happen, how's it being managed (or not managed), how big did it get? This could mean it has less primordial heat than Earth - or maybe more? 👀 I could see the accretion happening slowly, more or less accidentally, via rubbish dumped in the same general area ending up in some gravitational point for bullshit astrophysics reasons, like some cosmic Pacific Garbage Patch... or I could also see it happening relatively quickly, with entire planets' worth of garbage being taken to the same point and dumped all together, like a landfill.

What sort of junk is being dumped? Some forms of waste are probably not going to end up on Junkion, because it can probably be dealt with wherever it was produced for a much lower cost. (Organic waste, for example). Others are likely to be recycled as much as possible because they're uncommon or just a pain in the ass to acquire (thinking of rare-earth elements here lol). Junkion might end up being built primarily of like, radioactive waste, or extraterrestrial mine tailings - things there's no shortage of, that are either worth the cost of being jetted into space to get rid of, or that are volumetrically massive and need to be put somewhere that they won't be taking up valuable space.

Planetary differentiation depends on heat. There's a few possible sources of heat, but the big ones are primordial heat, which is produced during accretion, and radioactive decay. Once your planet reaches a high enough internal temperature, shit melts, and then the denser stuff (metals, mostly) sinks into a core, and the less dense stuff (silicates, mostly) starts to float to the surface. Whether Junkion does this or not would depend on how hot it got.

If it's small enough, or accreted very slowly, it may not differentiate at all. (This is probably where your layers-of-junk idea goes.) If it's bigger, it might experience fairly basic differentiation, forming a protoplanet. (This also depends on relative proportion of metals to silicates - is there enough iron to make a core out of?) You might end up with something quite like Earth, ultimately, or you might end up with something more like the Moon. (It could be even more iron-rich than Earth - maybe iron isn't a particularly sought-after resource anymore...)

And then there's the eternal question of does this planet have water/an atmosphere? An atmosphere probably depends on a magnetic core, which depends on Earth-like differentiation. Liquid water depends on warmth - what's its heat source? Does it have a star to orbit? Presence of either, but especially both, is going to do some funky shit with whatever your outer crust ends up being made of. Oxides, sulfides, sulfates, maybe carbonates, etc. A lot of minerals come out of aqueous solutions, and hydrous alteration. On Earth, oxygen is the single most common element bound up in the crust. There's also a shit ton of water in there, literally individual molecules incorporated into mineral structures - this is probably why we have plate tectonics, which further drives mineral differentiation of the crust into mafic and felsic types. If Junkion ends up with liquid water, it may develop some form of plate tectonics.

And finally... a planet-sized junkyard may have some real funky bacteria going on. XD That might also have an effect on Junkion's mineral diversity.

......... this has made me realise that outside of Yellowjackets, I've barely met *new* characters worth listing here this year, woe is me xDD. in part it's because I've been busy with stackediaries and newsletters of classics and RL serious shit so I haven't tried a lot of new stuff, but I've also had bad luck with the few new shows I've tried lately lol (do NOT recommend: the diplomat, the company you keep).

Frankly this list could easily just be "YELLOWJACKETS YELLOWJACKETS YELLOWJACKETS YELLOWJACKETS". but let's try to diversify!

Misty Quigley. I OBVIOUSLY had to name one of them, and I'm going with Misty because I simply can't get enough of her.

I'm nominating both Colm AND Pádraic in The Banshees of Inisherin, because Colm was more interesting to me at the beginning, and Pádraic more at the ending. Enjoy this and this for "lau takes the wrong lesson out of things" shenanigans.

Éowyn from LOTR and I want everyone to appreciate how depressing this is lmao. I think she's a fascinating character but I think that largely in part because of how little there actually is of her (and this is, again, the most prominent woman in all of LOTR), that makes you want to dig deeper and expand on it (in part because her ending is... mixed, for me). Hell, the very few female characters in LOTR so far were more engaging in a few lines than any of the ones from new shows (Galadriel, Lobelia, Shelob the terrifying spider monster)... just let that sink in smh.

Yeah I'm just going to add Yellowjackets characters because that's it. That's all! Give it up for Lottie and Taissa and Shauna and Jackie and Van and Natalie and MARI, MY GIRL MARI.

Like at first I was, Merteuil!!! nope, met her last year. Jules Millin in Grey's Anatomy!!!! nope, she became a fave this year (and I so fear a possible Defrosting the Ice Queen arc might happen to her...) but I did meet her last year. I need to find better new (for me) stuff as soon as I'm done with stackediaries lol.

And ngl I still get flustered all the time, including screaming into my pillow at times xDD but they're still nice and fun to listen to :D fooor example anigomi has a bunch of great VA's and the do stuff from all kinds of amines :3 bnha, death note, attack on titan, demon slayer, spy x family etc. Yuzuya is also amazing tho he's more focused on bnha with a bit of jjk. For people who are not necessarily anime based but go into the fantasy and also sometimes sci-fi stuff are hollow_va, jupiterVA and whispurraudio. And one of my favorites (less fantasy etc and more boyfriend experience kinda stuff) is Navillus asmr. He just has a real calming voice in my opinion and his videos are usually very sweet :3

'Cause you see, in Jojo's Bizarre Adventures:

(Part 3 onwards) there are these things called 'Stands', that basically are the soul/fighting spirit of whomever posses it and let me tell ya, a Stand can have any form, have any ability, have varying degrees of sentiability and anyone with strong enough willpower can have one...

For instance

This is Strength, and as far as we know... this is just a regular ship. It looks like a ship, it floats like a ship, it goes places through the sea like a ship... it's just a ship. BUT this is actually a Stand, and it user, Forever the orangutan (not relevant), can go through its walls and basically manipulate its interior; everything that is in the ship

And that is what the tugboats (and any other sentient vehicle in the show) are, the Stands of the humans in this AU~

Ok, the thing is that I really like them boats, and I really like the humanized versions I made for them and... and I kinda wanted them to exist at the same time......... and this is how I can make it happen

There are Stands that are sentient and can converse with their users, so the thing i wanted the most is covered. Stand users attract each other, so it's perfectly reasonable for anyone with a boat-type stand to meet at harbours by the sea or river + the magic of stands or something. I also like the names they all have and I don't want to change them, and in Jojo, a lot of characters have very wacky names so I can get away with keeping them :3. Though I realize that it might be a bit inconvient but that way of putting "human!/tug!" before the name is a perfectly fine to differentiate them so whatever

The tl;dr being that if I like the characters, why not have two of them~? Couldn't that be great? :D

...........................maybe not in this case xd, but everyone else it'd be great! :D

I've remembered that I also wanted to the tugs to be mind-controlled, since if I ever make an animatic recreating a scene where the tugboats are used, I feel like it'd be kinda weird if the characters had to go back to the wheelhouse to operate the ship as it should, especially if they are still speaking to each other, like it couldn't be realistic.

So I threw realism out the window altogheter.

AND for the tugs to have a mind of their own to go on their separate tug-related adventures separate from the humans, but still having those limitations... i have many ideas as you can see

Abilities beyond their Stands?

I've been thinking about it. After all, stands are not just punching ghost; some of them aren't even good for combat or beneficial at all; some of them just exist and that's it lol.

So i've been thinking... thinking of giving the humans an extra supernatural ability or handicap.... and maybe even name those abilities with the musical reference like in Jojo~ huehuehue this is getting interesting (but that'll take time, k?)

How about Thomas?

In T&F the deal is inverted. The engines are the users to a human form that is a Stand.

I don't have much more since I mostly work with TUGS, but it's the same sentiment. I want both sentient vehicles and humans to co-exist and interact

That'd be the Argentina!AU since its focus is to teach culture shock the gringos, and thus is more human-oriented

It'd probably be just lil comedy skits, 4-komas even, and the only difference is that it takes place in Puerto Madero and everyone speaks spanish (and a lot of swearing, also subs will be provided~)^^
