yes, absolutely! they also have a split jaw, like snakes do!

(fun snake fact, only venomous snakes have fangs! other snakes only have these inward-facing teeth, made to guide prey to the back of the throat. thats why non-venomous bites dont hurt that much, snake teeth arent built for chewing or piercing!)

crona definitely has these inwards-facing teeth too. this means that they arent able to chew their food, and have to swallow it all whole, which is really funny to imagine.

SOO! weird mouth=weird food! it would be pretty difficult for snaketaurs to swallow small food because their tongues just aren't built for pushing food around like ours are. they also obviously can't chew. so most food catered towards snaketaurs is going to be in some kind of wrapping: top choices are dumplings, sausages, and burritos. some restaurants that cater towards snaketaurs have specials that are like, HUGE to take advantage of their weird mouths. their acutal process of eating is a bit weird and messy, imagine someone splitting their jaw in half while shoving an entire burrito down their throat whole. fun stuff!

when it comes to seasoning and taste- the insides of the food doesnt matter at all, because they dont chew it. the taste of the food, actually, doesnt matter a lot to snaketaurs! their main sense is smell, and they already use their tongue for that, so theres not a lot of room for taste. so most snaketaur food is made with a lot of external seasoning to stimulate the sense of smell, and not as much care put into the ingredients of the food. you *could* technically try to feed a snaketaur some rancid shit inside a dumpling, but a snake's sense of smell is pretty good at telling the difference between good and rotten food, so it's likely they'd catch on. i'd considered giving snaketaurs a whole prey diet, like real snakes, but it didn't make much sense in the end! (a whole prey diet means that essential nutrients come from every part of the prey- bones and organs included.)

now, since this ask was about crona's fangs, its only fair i talk about the societal implications of venom!

the thing thats tricky about worldbuilding this au- and a lot of animal/furry societies in general- is that humans are very squishy, and a lot of our politics are built on the fact that we are squishy. we're pretty much only lethally dangerous with training or tools. when dealing with animals tho? a lot of animals have weapons built in. (also this is why animal racism allegories are almost always executed horribly. they usually end up implying that race/racial differences are fundamentally biological. its a very very tricky topic to get right.)

even so, most taur species' are only just as lethal as their physical strength, sometimes enhanced by their claws or whatever. venomous species' are tricky at first, and a lot of shit probably happened in-universe before thing settled, (tldr for taurlore every humanoid on earth suddenly got turned into a random taur bc some witch fucked up. present day soul eater/taur au is set a century or so after that event to give everyone time to get their shit under control) but i think that it's not that big of a deal by now. hospitals are equipped with antidotes of every kind, and venom-drives are common and similar to blood drives. its not uncommon to see posters stating: "got venom? donate now!" or some shit idk. most venom attacks are accidents & are rarely lethal when given proper treatment.

i kinda forgot a lot of stuff about the soul eater universe when typing that last paragraph, especially it's entire thing with kishin eggs and witches that kinda re-contextualize murderers and how this society looks at them. theres no paranoia like "anybody could be a murderer ouuuu" its always "murderers eat souls and then become kishin eggs or whatever (therefore its ok to kill them) im soo glad we dont eat human souls lol. its also really easy to spot a kishin egg so we just dont have any stranger danger/societal paranoia issues." GOOD LORDD these implications r fucking me up. this is ofc not a super deep look @ the soul eater society i need to sit down and think long n hard abt it now bc i literally. just forgot. what the hell. what the hell.

hey gang!

i've been thinking, and i think it's about time i take a tiny, teeny lil hiatus. just wanted to let you know i'll be gone for a lil while (hopefully a week+ depending on how it goes). this is NOT because of any of you - in fact i am going to miss you all dearly. just think i need a bit of a mental health reset luvs.

i will have my queue running - i've upped the time and number of posts as well so it will run throughout my normal hours here - and i have content (incorrect tweets, some video edits, gifsets, etc.) lined up until. like may so don't worry about that snkjfk (i won't be gone for that long prommy i just do a lot of content prep). i'll also be watching smosh every day as per usual, and still working on stuff while im gone!! i think this'll be a really great opportunity to get some work done - i have so many fics and passion projects lined up that im really excited about, so hopefully i'll get to finish those in the meantime and i may be back to post them <3 at the very least i'll be back by valentines day for the smoshblr exchange!!

i wanna start making comics but like. i dont really know how??? are there any tips that you could give me perhaps?

hi!

i've been working on trying to compile a list of resources for people (@aangsfrogs--i didn't forget!) who want to make comics for a long time. It would consist of some of my personal tips and a lot of links to other people's PDFs and youtubes. But that's...a hefty project, so if you had any specific questions for the meantime, my askbox is open!

But, for just beginning, here would be my tips:

Read comics. Read manga and webcomics and cartoons and medical comics. There is so much out there, and reading is such a big way to learn. If you see something you like, take a moment to think about why you like it. Are the expressions or colors appealing? Did it make you feel a certain emotion? Analyze what the artist may have done to get across what they did. (Is it the camera angle? the style they chose to draw in? the paneling? the pacing? the color? etc.) Doing this over time will help you recognize the tools available for telling stories through this medium, and you'll be able to put them in your own work.

Try to think about what you want to make comics about. What moves you? What topics interest you? What ideas or tropes do you love in media or think about often? What do you hate and wish was done better? What characters are you drawn to, or what characters do you want to create? (What about them compels you?) I find it's hard to create an idea out of thin air, but if you start writing down random ideas you have, you'll start thinking about them, and over time, you'll have a bank of things to pull from when you want to create.

Lastly, anatomical skill or knowledge of color does not a comic make! You don't have to know much to begin, and there aren't rules. Just start drawing what is meaningful to you!

This is just cursory and doesn't get into super specifics like paneling or scripts or plotting or colors or thumbnailing or....etc, but I'll try to expand my list of resources and get that out! And, hmu if you have any specific questions on topics!

Scott McCloud's Understanding Comics and his Making Comics. These books are taught in like, every comic class ever. While not my complete favorite, they do a good job of showing some history and fundamentals, and how easy it is to make comics even if you don't have a lot of drawing experience.

99 Ways to Tell a Story: Exercises in Style by Matt Madden: Really good if you don't know how to start analyzing comics. (Also it's just a fun visual exercise.) It shows the same short story done in 99 different styles with different emphasis on different moods and points of view.

The PreHistory of The Far Side: A 10th Anniversary Exhibit by Gary Larson and The Calvin and Hobbes: Tenth Anniversary Book by Bill Watterson: Two great books with work from my two favorite cartoonists. They both have writings from the author about getting ideas, developing stories, and being a comic artist.

Uncanny Bodies: Superhero Comics and Disability, edited by Scott T. Smith and José Alaniz and Black Comics: Politics of Race and Representation, edited by Sheena C. Howard and Ronald L. Jackson II: These two aren't really about making comics, but they are great collections of analysis about old and new comics alike.

By no means a complete list, but some good ones that I can think of off the top of my head.

There's also the book Webtoon School: Everything you need to know about webtoon creation and story writing. To be honest, I didn't read this completely through because it was a bit more fundamental than I was expecting, but it gives a good cursory look of how to write comics if you're just starting out! It covers some history, how to write stories and arcs, etc.

Also, look to your favorite writers! A lot of webtoon/webcomic artists do tutorials or youtube videos. for instance, velnxi has this great tutorial up I really suggest looking at here.

New intro post! How exciting! This is my celebration for reaching 25 followers so fast! Thank you all for your overwhelming support in this journey, it really has been a lot.

If you're new here, my boyfriend and I are both introjected from extremely problematic medias revolving around a very bad person that lived in real life. We are both from fictional medias, bit the person of which we introjected is very much real, and We've gotten a LOT of shit for it.

Spaces that claim to be safe spaces for systems-- or God forbid, safe spaces for *problematic* introjects and alters, tend to be rude or spiteful towards individuals who are factives from problematic sources.

I firmly believe this hateful stance comes from a place of not understanding, so I've created this blog to give people who don't understand a chance to talk and speak to us without losing their cool as we also stay anonymous on this blog. They're always nice until they find out who you are /hj . Since it's creation, the blog has since turned into a big place for problematic factives to just feel safe and seen. I'm beyond happy about this, and glad my blog can serve both purposes. More under the cut!

We post a lot of everything!

We answer asks from people who have questions about us or about being problematic factives, we make positivity posts for problematic factives, problematic factive culture is... posts, and lots of other things you could think of. Feel free to vent in our askbox or message us for a chat! We'd love to have a friend.

Some things off the top of my head that I can't do on this blog (but if you end up making a blog for these things and need a mod, totally hmu!)

Stimboards/Moodboards etc. - I would literally love to do these but the problem is I know like nothing about anyone. Of you were to ask me for a Donald Trump moodboard I honestly do not know what I would do my mind would just blank. That being said, in decently good at making them so if there were a person I knew well enough to do a stimboard on, I definitely could

Icon edits - This is somthing I'm capable of doing, but it isn't something where I would want this entire blog to just turn into requests. If you're making a blog specifically for these creative requests things totally hmu

Art - I cannot draw but my hope is that that changes in the future.

My last intro post didn't really have any information on us as people let's try and fix that.

I can't tell you my name, but you can call me Anxiety. I'm the main mod and significantly less source connected/more source ashamed. I go by he/Anxiety with Anxiety being able to work in place of either a name or a pronoun. Unless the host is helping out with something, anything that isn't labeled comes from me. I'm the only one out of the two of us with the physical ability to type so when he posts something, it's a little special occasion and deserves a label.

My boyfriend doesn't have a name option other than a source one. On the blog he has only been referred to as my boyfriend, but if you need a name for him, call him NPC. He uses he/him pronouns and will sign off any post that he thinks up all on his own with -NPC and tagged with # npc posts

Announcement!

It's ya girl @yurious-george! It's been several years since I made this blog, and since I dropped it. Now after a conversation with @goldkrone-struggle-tweets, I realized how much of a gap there is between the new tumblr tutu fans and the older ones, and considering how much general knowledge surrounding princess tutu I have, reviving this blog seemed apt!

So, my first inspiration ever was @pomni-xddcc and I always pride myself in saying this cause she's actually a great person, all shoutouts possible to her, I think she was the one who inspired all the askblogs in tadc tumblr rn? Yea she's amazing go check out her blog, honestly she fucking rocks!!

As to "motivations to keep going" it's pretty simple: I HAVE AN INCREDIBLE BRAINROT RIGHT NOW AND IT'S NOT GOING AWAY EASILY
