#working interview as an assistant prek teacher #i know kids are exhausting but its the only thing i have relevant experience in #and im tired of being rejected from every office job i apply to i need a job even if it pays 12 dollsrs an hour lol #anyway they'll pay for continuing education and the phone interview went really well #i think it seems like a nice place with nice people and she said she wouldn't start me at the bottom of the pay scale #so i might get more than i think #still probably not going to top sixteen an hour but its something #they called me in for prek even tho i didn't apply for that i applied for infant toddler teacher bc i have no relevant education #just lots of volunteer work with kids #but she said that one was taken and would i consider this one i didn't think i was qualified for so thats a good sign #and she seemed really nice #and the location is good its like a 17 minute drive and not too hard of a drive either #just one tricky turn #anyway #all job interviews fill me with impending doom and dread #even tho i interview pretty well i think i just never have the relevant experience to get the job lol #but this time it seems more likely #i have anotherdaycare job that literally pays twelve dollars an hour that wants to schedule an interview as well 😬 #but hopefully i get this one #the other one is closer but doesn't seem like as nice of a place to work tbh #anyway im so stressed!! #i took a sleeping pill which i may regret #i never take one before an interview bc im afraid i'll be super sleepy and tired and not want to get up and be less sharp at the interview #but then i NEVER manage to sleep the night before which i decided is worse lol #so hopefully that doesn't backfire #goodnight ❤️

Maybe I'll make a post on this at some point but like, something deeply fucked up about TNP and Po3 that people have totally forgotten about is how badly they try to whine that "Tigerstar Had Good Traits :("

Firestar does it, Brambleclaw does it, and they keep doing this after it becomes this GRAND irony that Firestar almost gets Tiger'd to death in a fox trap because he was too trusting. Bramble gets his pity award of keeping deputyship and then cries to his son about how No One Saw The Good In Tigerstar :(

And it's wiiiiild that no one else in this fandom has done anything with the fact that Leopardstar broke the Warrior Code to appoint Hawkfrost, who had no apprentice, an extremely aggressive and warmongering Tigerclone who says things like "Tigerstar wasn't the worst cat to look up to." ONLY qualifying trait was being kinda like Tigerstar.

And she practically did that the SECOND Mistyfoot went missing. And then Leopardstar continued to be one of the most violent and xenophobic leaders through Po3, joining with WindClan to attack ThunderClan.

What I'm getting at is that like, a few years ago, with books like "Blackfoot's Reckoning" and "Shadow in RiverClan" it's like they suddenly decided to retcon in a bunch of "redemption arcs" in hindsight. They just pretended like there was this grand high reckoning with TigerClan, when there literally wasn't, and if anything that caused SERIOUS problems for the cast that the authors didn't fully acknowledge as such.

And now ppl haven't actually read the main series and are just working with their recent memory of all these retcon books.

But TNP and PO3 are still there, and you can go and see the ACTUAL timeline where Leopardstar is really not apologetic at all, and Blackstar is a useful stooge for the very next wannabe dictator that strolls in, in spite of the new side content that COMPLETELY mischaracterized them for their plots to work.

#I just wish people could be more critical of this #And im not entirely anti-retcon. Mind you #But I am here because i think these retcons make them WORSE characters. It's BAD for a character to GET a book with a redemption arc and-- #Then they don't change at all and act like totally different people later in the timeline #And Leopardstar is the worse one between her and Blackstar BECAUSE she has sooo many active choices here #Im confident in my choice for BB the more I think about it. Leopardstar's dismantling of the bonehill was good #But it works better as a tragedy imo with the rest of the series in mind #That for a brief moment. A fleeting whim. She could have changed. #But she never did. #And Blackstar who was FAR less repentant at the time DID eventually turn around. #At the end of the day one of them appointed Hawkfrost as codebreaking deputy. #And the other did not. #And I think it's fucking bullshit the way that Leopardstar's retcondemption implies that Hawkfrost was just so tricky he mislead her #The old and experienced leader who had been fooled by a tiger before and was soso sorry for it. Just got tricked. #Like fuck off. She never had a redemption. I have this weird headcanon about Borsalino, that he only really registers people that are looking directly at him (something about photons hitting the eyes etc) and that his walk is usually almost soundless (get it, cuz... light steps) and I've always thought that it would lead to funny scenarios with Issho. Just thought you'd like to read it.

See I always headcannoned that Lino’s devil fruit is actually a NIGHTMARE to have. Like imagine being made of light. Something about the idea of almost being a hologram; things go through you; there’s no weight to your being (it’s like borderline existential); you have to constantly keep yourself in control because you process everything at light speed and also the slightest wrong movement could destroy everything around you. Maybe that’s why he talks and moves so slow; cause he has to or else!

But then you can have more wholesome thoughts like, he’s probably the only human that can go to space and survive and just like watch the stars. That’s a nice thought ✨

I just went through my tiktok settings (I do this occasionally with every app) to make sure they haven’t added a new setting I don’t like that’s automatically turned on in a new update or something and I found this under their ad settings:

I’m getting fucking gendered by tiktok? Just so I can be advertised to “correctly.” This makes me feel gross. Not just from the potential misgendering of someone (I mean you can tell tiktok your gender but that’s a different conversation), but because what does my gender have to do with my likes and dislikes? And just like why is an algorithm deciding my gender for me? I don’t like it. I hate it. I think it’s dumb and no one should have to disclose their gender in order to participate on a social media platform without fear or potentially being misgendered by some weird fucking ad because the algorithm decided your gender for you.

Other fun things I discovered in the ad settings:

Tiktok is a billion dollar company and yet it’s asking it’s users to become volunteers and spend their free time working for tiktok in order to weed out bad ads. Hire people. Pay people to do labor. You can afford it.

okay so, from what we’ve seen from vol2 trailer so far, it kinda looks like the fruity four plus the kids are driving somewhere in the Munsons' trailer could also be Eddie’s van though, doesn’t look large enough to be a trailer so i can be wrong but the point still stands and it got me wondering whether it’d affect the gate to the Upside Down in any way and, if yes, how. theoretically it’d be neat if there was an option to drive to any destination (which in this case appears to be the Creels’ house, with Steve, Robin, and Nancy going there in the Upside Down while Max, Lucas, and Erica reach it in, well, the Upside Up, as Eddie and Dustin guard the gate??) and be able to enter the Upside Down exactly where needed except now that the entire realm is stuck in 1983, the trailer would most likely just remain where it is over there. well, unless two people would drive it in the same place (or not necessarily the same) in the both realms. doesn’t seem to be the case here but an intriguing possibility on its own, at least looks like it for me

Cute apple house. I think I’m going to try building food and animal themed buildings with their inspirations inside. This one has an oak tree inside it. Starting simple. A little intimidated to make a sheep pen inside a sheep figure, but at least the sheep design is fairly simple. No idea how the cow house is going to turn out, haha.

It's of Pyra and my self-insert Sapphire in combat together, always sticking close to one another even though they aren't bonded as a Blade-Driver pair to each other! Pyra is wielding her own Aegis Sword, while Sapphire is holding the Variable Sabre, which mirrors its design. Is this the first time I've shown her with a weapon, actually? This is one of the three that she's able to use, thanks to Poppi!

I think the story itself is overall well made. they have an acting & production style that is so #cool to see in podcasts #and of course thank u for the queer characters #however. Constant egregious reminder that when most queer artists are making a 'queerphobia free setting' they are not thinking about aspecs #like at all #last time I listened it was like ok cool you have 2 aroace characters over the entire run so far #no background characters who r casually aspec #and both of them are Extremely stereotyped #but beyond that it's just. you realize you need to do the fucking work for the structural aspects of aphobia like you did for other #queer discrimination? #and I realize that for aro stuff in particular this can be tricky because it's so inherently tied to capitalism #but you can at least Acknowledge that this is the case. instead of completely ignoring it #(the silt verses did a good job of that approach btw) #and that's not even getting into other issues like how they portray trans women or schizophrenic ppl #or the thing where they use autistic traits for quirky 1 dimensional character jokes. which tbf is fairly common in certain media. but they #did this While talking about how they were flipping the trope of doing The Same Thing with depression on its head and stressing that as one #of their main things #like idk man I don't tend to declare shows as Problematique or turn my issue with one aspect into 'this whole show is riddled with bad stuff #but each of these are Genuinely issues in my opinion and they dropped the ball each time w/o seeming to notice #like some of these require.
