because after working on my back and shoulder muscles for the past few months, I’ve suddenly noticed a distinct lack of pain and soreness and tightness that I’ve never felt before and it’s so fucking weird and I am ANNOYED

#like #used to be when I even just scratched the skin of my upper back I could feel how tight everything was #but now it just... feels... like... skin???? #I was on my feet for 12 hours straight for three days this past weekend #and I kept wiggling around the way I do when my back is sore #just out of habit you know? #and I kept getting confused as to why I wasn't feeling anything in my muscles until I realized it was because there wasn't anything TO feel? #like what the actual fuck #I'm currently sitting here wiggling around trying to find a single spot of soreness or tightness #and just coming up empty #it's so fucking weird how bodies work man #I've been doing strength shit twice a week since january #I've slowly worked up to using 20lb weights in each hand #which I've been using for idk two months #and it was literally just overnight one day a week ago that I noticed this #it was the same with the stretches I've been doing #just suddenly one day after working at it for ages I could put my palms flat on the floor from standing #suddenly one day I could squat down with my feet flat #it's like one day my body was like all right let's install this upgrade while this bitch sleeps #I JUST DID IT AGAIN. I WAS SLOUCHING AND STRAIGHTENED MY NECK AND ANTICIPATED STIFFNESS AND THERE WAS NONE #GOD. #I hate how right the pro-exercise people are!!!!! #(I also wish to make clear that my work schedule is fucking insane and in exchange for 12+ hour days I get four days off every week) #(which is the only way I've been able to keep to an exercise routine) #(capitalism is terrible for our health in so many ways and preventing most people from having time or energy to exercise is just one!)

one piece filler ep where they run into another peto-peto villain of the week guy but this time instead the devil fruit power rearranges people's brain chemistry so they have the thoughts behaviours emotional intelligence etc of a dog. zoro gets hit but he's just exactly the same

Guess who found more vampire lore that would've been helpful earlier! (This is what happens when you skim the mechanics pages too fast...) Turns out there are concrete rules about how much blood vampires need.

Vampires require 12 hit points worth of blood every 24 hours (the amount of blood you'll get from draining 2-3 people or 12 rats dry, mechanically. The designers maybe didn't think this through...) The source is immaterial, and may come from people, corpses or animals. They're all just as good, though fluff wise they won't feel good subsisting on animal and dead blood (there are no mechanical penalties). The blood doesn't have to be fresh or taken directly from the vein, you can keep it stored in a fridge or whatever equivalent.

Vampires lose the power boosts they gain with age if they don't get enough blood, but cannot regress below the level of a newborn vampire. Age categories aren't present in later editions, so basically: vampires and spawn can't get any weaker than the base stat block given for them in the monster manual. They do lose a hit dice per day without sufficient blood (blood is required to maintain the physical body, their bodies will slowly revert into corpses without it.) They will, however, eventually lose control of themselves if they wear down to a single HD and revert to a state of mindless animal hunger and go on a bloodthirsty rampage draining the blood out of any source they can get their hands on. (Failure to get any blood at this stage causes the hibernation state as they become trapped in their own withered corpse unable to move until somebody feeds them blood.)

HD recover rapidly with sufficient nutrition; regaining 1 per every day of full feeding.

so my general paranoia has always been pretty bad (hi ocd) but I thought it was more manageable the past few years as I've matured and gotten better at catching myself before I spiral, but recently (as in the past three weeks or so) it's been so bad that I do things impulsively as I'm spiralling without even realising it and it's been negatively affecting the way I perceive how friends think of me which I do NOT want to start happening again because that sucked. Idk why it's happening but I'd be grateful for any advice idrk what else to say about it.
