I have a strange hc that bakugo can... Tap dance

His mom signed him up for tap dancing when he was very young (like when he was 6-ish?) and he kept on doing it until he dropped out of it at age 10. Maybe he forgot a couple of tricks, but I feel like he has the basics down and can remember how to tap to certain types of songs he remembers rehearsing to

But you'd have to have a gun to his head to see him tap dance though 😭 but that's why his mom has vhs tapes 😼

This is making me 💀 bc I remember finding tap dance shoes in my closet as a kid and being lectured for making fun of them b/c "tap dance is really hard!!!!!!!!" (which I don't doubt, but as a kid I was just like: 🙄🙄🙄).

I can see this very clearly though, mostly because I truly believe Bakugo's parent's enrolling him in every single extracurricular they possibly can when he's younger. Poor baby Bakugo takes drumming lessons, dance classes, and probably even does some kind of sport every year until UA... and tap is just one of those things he gets thrust into for the "cultural wealth..."

It's kinda funny because you're right, he absolutely won't tap dance for you, but he also probably won't admit to actually hating the class because it did teach him a bunch of useful things about movement and footwork........... same with all the ballet and hiphop he took after too, maybe ages 10-13.

(I'm not sure how or why this would ever happen, but if he ever hears one of the songs he did a recital to, maybe on the radio, he probably starts tapping a foot or shaking his butt along just due to muscle memory. You catch him in the kitchen once when this happens, absentmindedly doing the routine with one foot as he chops vegetables... and while it's adorable, the second he notices you, he's getting embarrassed and pretending he has no idea what just happened.)

Fantasy Guide to Royal Children - Heirs and Spares

The lives of Princesses and Princes are of interest to most fantasy writers, it's where many of our heroes, side characters and antagonists hail from. But what is there life like? Is it always ballgrowns and servants? Or something more?

A Strict Order of Precedence

The first thing to know about royal children and siblings is that there's a very strict precedence of importance. Is it fair? No. But this is a system, it doesn't have to be fair. The heir comes first without argument. They are the most important child, they are always greeted first, they are the one to stand next to the monarch or their parents at occasions, they literally go first - and this doesn't change with age, if the heir is the youngest, they still have precedence over their siblings. After the heir, order of predence goes by age and the order effects the life of the children. For example, the older sister will marry begore any of her sisters. This order of deference will be so engrained in your character's life that they will believe it the norm and rarely question it, it probably won't spark any in-fighting.

Accommodation & Staff

Royal children are usually raised one of two ways. Either they are raised at court, in the same Palace as their parents or they are raised away from court under the care of trusted servants. Being raised away from their parents isn't a sign of remoteness or dislike or terrible parenting, it was a way of break a child into the constraints of royal life while giving them freedom of scrunity or danger. Usually these children are raised in the countryside for their health, as cities are usually cesspits for disease. Their parents would come to visit them or allow them to visit them at court. Children raised at court are raised with a higher level of scrunity and attention. They will be in the public eye.

Royal children will always be surrounded by staff. There will be nurses to wash and dress them, nannies to discipline and direct them, guards to protect them and usually, a guardian known as a governess to run their household and care for their needs. Staff are not allowed to hit royal children and must obey their commands. Some royal children were very close to their staff:

However, some royal children faced neglect from their staff. George VI was abused by his nanny, who would pinch him during important occasions, openly favour his elder brother over him and deny him food, which many have been a cause of his speech impediment. After the Russian Revolution, another of the Tsarevich's nannies proved less loyal than the other. Andrei Yeremeyevich Derevenko abandoned his charge, but not before ordering the boy around and insulting him.

Day to Day Life

Royal children would be educated withing their home by tutors. They would usually take lessons all together (the heir may take other lessons). A royal child would recieve an education in languages, arithmetic, geography, etiquette, dancing, music, sports such as riding and literature. Sometimes they would even share lessons with the children of trusted nobles or their cousins. Only the heir will be taught statecraft and how to reign. There is no rhyme nor reason a spare would learn how to rule.

Some royal children are taught the value of their position. Many royal children will be raised strictly to adhere to their social standing and their place in it. Some children may be raised in isolation, kept from mingling and raised to think of themselves as higher than those around them. Some royal families preferred to raise their children as "normal" as possible. The last Romanov children slept in camp beds, with no pillows and we're expected to tidy their own rooms and help the servants. They didn't even use their proper titles, they were called by their names and given a tight monthly allowance to spend. Alexandra of Denmark and her sisters used to make their own clothes. Some royal children could even be encouraged to play with the children of servants and staff as well as nobility (Kolya Derevenko and Tsarevich Alexei Nikolaevich, Winifred Thomas and Prince John). Companionship was a great honour for noble and common child alike as sometimes, they would be invited to live or be educated alongside by the royal children.

Royal children will not undertake royal duties until they are of age. Younger children be be present for large scale events such as jubilees but would not be expected to partake in any duties themselves. When they are of age, they will usually be granted an annual allowance, be invited to social events, invited to be patrons of charities and participate in royal duties.

Heir Vs Spare

Heirs have more responsibility, all the prestige, more power but they have less freedom, less room to explore their own lives and be expected to always be the epitome of perfect. Heirs will be given responsibilities in government, sitting in on state meetings or undertaking state duties.

Spares have little in the way of real power but have the ability to live less regimental lives and gave more agency in their personal lives. Spares may act as ambassadors to other nations or undertake state visits on behalf of the monarchy or even take positions in the army. Spares are encouraged to find positions to support themselves outside the family, either in a marriage or undertaking some service to the country. Spares who stay in the country, tend to act as unofficial advisers to their sibling when they become monarch.

All Grown Up

When royal children grow up, there are usually certain expectations and limitations.

Heirs will be married quickly, the lineage must be secure. Heirs will usually marry either as part of a political alliance or marry somebody suitable - from a good family, the right background, and able to fit into a certain mould (i.e malleable, amiable and loyal). They will be expected to focus on the country, it's needs and support the monarch at all times. Their social circles will be scruntised, their every move will be noted and remarked upon. Heirs will never gave to worry about funding their lifestyle, the Crown is their job and it supports them.

Spares can marry or remain single if they choose, (but if the monarch instructs them go marry they must). Spares can travel, they can be idle, they can even persue amusements not permitted for the heir. Spares can win glory on the battlefield and mix with all sorts of people. That isn't to say spares are useless, spares often occupy very important spaces in society and government. Spares will usually take these positions not for just status but also for the pay. This is why spares are granted royal titles such as dukedoms (they can make money off the lands, be able to build a dynasty for themselves and their heirs and gain status).

Kat of the band Scowl posted this after they’ve been accused of basically being industry plants and I thought it was interesting.

I am sick of hearing the phrase "Industry plant" every single time Scowl experiences success.

Our friends bands- bands commonly full of men, will sign brand deals, have a song in a commercial, get a co-sign from massively successful musicians, etc... yet I never read whisperings of whether or not they deserve those successes, whether or not they are valid enough, GOOD enough, or worked hard enough to be deserving of that success. Is our success never valid enough for you? Why is this competition created between us and our community, specifically femme-bodied individuals?

A competition I never participated in, a patriarchal competition I challenge by questioning my thoughts, actions, and insecurities every single day.

The message I receive is that I am not granted independent success as a woman. Am I never grateful enough? Hard working enough? Confident enough?

I'm grateful to be a part of a community we have ALWAYS contributed to lifting. By the way it isn't that hard to do... If you believe in yourself and your friends you've done half the work! If you believe in your scene, walk through that door, buy that t-shirt, and maybe even gather up the confidence to make a new friend or dance along to your favorite song you are CONTRIBUTING to something bigger than yourself.

Starting a band was the best decision I ever made, it saved my life in many ways and it helped me find confidence in myself that I never believed I formerly had.

I am happily part of a scene filled with beautiful, intelligent, unique and inspiring people. A scene that could have never blossomed without every single individual.

Is it so hard to believe that a woman-led band can be a hardworking and organic success?

Is it so challenging to grasp a womans success that you have to create a fantasy that the music industry had a hand it?

An extremely male dominated music industry by the way...

That being said:

My life and my bandmate's lives would be SO MUCH EASIER if we had industry backing! I garnered the little confidence I had, not without the emotional support of my friends and my scene, in May 2019 to play Scowl's first show. My life has changed so much since that day, but it would've never been possible without my friends in the bay area/santa cruz hardcore scene.

The women/femme/trans individuals who I've embraced all around the world that have always had my back and saw me for my genuine self.

Those individuals will always come first to me.

Scowl has worked tirelessly to be in the position we are in. We have practiced late into the night, day after day. We have relentlessly toured. Last year I had bronchitis for months on tour, l've blown my voice out a handful of times, we have experienced exhaustive physical injury, blah blah and only dropped ONE SHOW due to those circumstances the past two years. Not even counting the depression, anxiety, grief and other general human sufferings experienced thousands of miles away from home. Slept on countless floors, gone hungry for a little too long, been in the negatives on my bank statements, etc. Is that punk enough for you? We do this because we LOVE IT. Because it makes us happier than anything else. I have the privilege to play music for a living! Of course l'm gonna chase my dreams!

The most valuable lesson I learned from hardcore is that if you have something to say, scream it into a microphone.

I would be nowhere without the countless BIPOC/trans/femmel gender nonconforming individuals that l've shared the stage with and have had meaningful conversations & relationships with.

I'm so grateful to music for giving me the opportunity to form those connections.

You have all collectively inspired me to never ever give up!

Whether we talk all the time or have had a short swift encounter, you know who you are and I LOVE YOU!

You remind me that l'm never alone.

Abbacchio won't judge your music taste, especially if you have some prog rock or some psychedelic rock stuff in your list. He'd make a list of recommendations for songs he enjoys for you as well that he hopes you actually listen to.

Bruno enjoys listening to rock music with you and is sure to mention some indie bands you'd enjoy if you like certain bands. He would take you to bars or small places with live music so you can hear some of his favorites.

Fugo has a good spread of interests with various rock genres. So listening to rock music with you is something he doesn't mind doing, it makes good background noise while he preps lesson plans for Narancia too.

Giorno's music taste is a bit all over the place. But if there are good instruments then he's happy to listen to the song. Especially if the lyrics are more than "sex, drugs, rock and roll". Pays more attention to your reactions to the music since he likes how happy you like.

Mista prefers more punk type music, but rock music is also a favorite. So he'll sit with you while you have your music going. If he has control over the radio then he absolutely skips over songs you love in favor of something he likes more (most of the time he does it to mess with you).

Narancia is more of a hip hop/R&B/rap guy, but his stand is also called Aerosmith so he has some love of rock music. Doesn't mind sitting with you and jamming out to some rock music either. Dancing is always a fun date idea.

Pop is Trish's thing, but she doesn't mind some rock music. Joan Jett, Heart, groups like that are favorites of hers. But she's up to listening to your music with you.

Katsuki walked with Kirishima on their normal patrol, his usual scowl seemed angrier than usual. Kirishima being the one to blame for that “Come on Kats you need to put yourself out there! Go on a date for once would ya?” Kirishima elbowed Katsuki making Katsuki huff. He had never been one for romance and hadn’t really thought about it until Kirishima had brought it up earlier in the week, how Katsuki needed to find someone to keep him out of the office so much. To which Katsuki brushed off saying he wasn't interested. But in all reality, it started to set in for Katsuki, especially when he came home to a dead quiet house only to lay lonely in his bed wishing he had someone there to hold, talk about his day with and eat dinner with.

These thoughts stewed in Katsukis brain as Kirishima continued on listing potential dates for Katsuki when in the distance Kirishima and Katsuki hear music and cheering. Looking at each other quizzically Kirishima asks “was there an event we were unaware of?” “not that i know of” Katsuki gruffs out “lets go check it out to be safe” Kirishima b-lined towards the noise Katsuki not far behind him.

What they come to is a crowd of people in the middle of the park with a pretty decent opening in the middle “What the hell is this? A mosh pit?” katsuki whispered to Kirishima, who only shrugged in response. They stood there in the crowd until the music starts playing again and someone speaks out “This one is a request since we have pro heroes dynamite and RedRiot In the crowd today” The song Dynamite by BTS playing over the speakers no movement is made until you make your way to the middle and start to dance the choreographed routine, people slowly made their way to join you but katsuki was only watching you move to the beat. Wearing one of his brand Dynamite workout tank tops and some workout shorts, the tank top shows off your colorful yet dull from fading tattooed arms and your hair is braided back showing off your pierced-up ears and gauges and a little gauntlet tattoo behind your ear. You donned snakebites, a bride piercing and an eyebrow piercing all orange spike from your skin. Katsuki was stunned by you as you took charge of the dance and mouthed along to the words. Kirishima placed his hand on Katuskis's shoulder “seems i dont have to set up a blind date for you Huh?” Kirishima snickered into his ear making Katsuki turn towards him with a glare as the music died down and cheers ensued.

You make your way through the crowd to your bag and water bottle as you sit down to take a few gulps and play on your phone, the sunlight that was beaming on you soon turns to shadows as Katsuki approaches. You smile up at him “hey Dynamite and RedRiot! You two enjoy the show?” you say wiping away sweat from your forehead. “Yeah we did! Whats your name? We might want some entertainment at the agency for an office party!” Kirishima smiles his signature toothy grin. “Y/n L/n but please just call me Y/n” you stand up taking your bag and bottle “i don’t usually do show for money but if you need some lessons id be no charge for our Pro’s” you nod to the Crowd cheering on a new dance “this is all for fun, I run a dance studio over on the main drag through town” Katsuki steps in “you got a card or something so we can contact you some time, im sure the sidekicks would enjoy some dancing lessons” his voice different from what you had heard on TV and through articles, he was calmer but the shifting of weight from one leg to another let on he was nervous about something. “Oh well i dont have any business card but-” you pulled out a pen and grabbed Katsukis arm, scribbling down on his Bicep he watched as a pink flush spread across your cheeks “here is my personal number, feel free to text me at any time, im usually up at most hours” you smiled letting go of his arm. Katsuki looked down at the number before pulling out his phone to place it in his contacts. “Well im sure you two need to be back on patrol. Ill be looking for your messaged” You waved and turned to make your way towards the main drag. Kirishima waves you off as Katsuki is typing away on his phone “i think you may have scored man” Kirishima turns towards Katsuki as they continue on their patrol.

Later in the evening, you're shutting off the lights to your studio at 9:30 pm as the last of your dance groups leave when a ‘ping’ goes off from your phone giving it a glace

You responded with a simple hey, as the texts went on you two texted throughout the days, meet ups for coffee and walks in the park included. The Warp Effect Ep 12 (Finale) Stray Thoughts

The week of finales continues! I was forever changed by My School President. Will this show change me as well?

Last time, things finally came to a head at Jedi and Rose's wedding, which used prom as its theme. Jedi and Rose continued to make me believe in long term romance. See-ew committed the cardinal sin of proposing at someone's wedding. Mollie and Nim managed to reconcile a bit. Joe and Army danced in public, and are building their romance. Alex learned that the sex ed teacher was his bio dad and refused to forgive him for abandoning his mom. Alex tried to reconcile with Jean, but Jean refused. Kat is hanging out with Tony now. Alex learned that the camera came from his bio dad.

As always, so much happens on this show.

I do enjoy the sci-fi conceits of someone experiencing this huge period of time, and then returning to an earlier moment. Everyone else being so confused amuses me.

I also like Alex immediately going to reassure his little brother.

Clize and Sing are so funny together. I hope we see them paired again.

Alex getting ahead of the Mollie issue by kissing her himself is unexpected, but makes sense to keep it from becoming a rift between Nim and Mollie.

Oh, Alex, please don't out Army and Joe.

Yep, they're still closeted jocks, so yeah that's definitely the same outcome.

Jojo definitely likes Kill Bill, Vol. 2.

I love Jedi and Rose so much. Mark and Best look so comfortable together.

Have we not learned our lessons about drinking too much??

Fah is also so funny. She actually works really well with New. Cutting off the music when she passes out was fantastic comedic timing.

Alex is still a people pleaser, but I like him being confident about helping people.

I actually like the chemistry between New and Fah a lot.

I'm never getting over the BTS clip where Clize slaps Sing so hard that he walked away stunned.

This elevator make out competition is peak Jojo. Best, Clize, Mark, and Sing are so amazing.

It's a bit contrived, but I really like how far a little earnest validation is carrying all of these couples.

Even Sarran gets a nod.

Oh, I do love creating the intro at the end.

Absolutely comedic poses for Jean and Alex's consensual first time. Still, that was much nicer than what happened originally.

This friend group is honestly impressive if they all not only stayed in their pairs, they also remained friends for a decade.

Kinda hope Alex gets the memories of the better ten years and doesn't have to piece those together too.

Final Verdict: 10, Highly Recommended. This show was an absolute delight from start to finish. I cannot overstate how impressive it is that this show remained legible despite the sheer volume of threads it was managing. This show managed to be funny and sexy, while still continuing the mission to make people more comfortable with their bodies and aware of their own sexual health. It also managed to accomplish those educational goals without feeling like an after school special. It's also the queerest show we've gotten to enjoy in quite some time. I'd say in some ways it cared more about queer issues than some of the BLs we've watched. Please watch and enjoy this.

Hard same, 'nonny! There are so many gorgeous belly dancers with all sorts of body types and I fall in love with every dancer I see a little bit. (Good gods the troupe we take lessons from. Ugh. Stupidly talented and gorgeous people (hi kat!))

This volume was EVERYTHING AND MORE!!! Was definitely worth all the drama we’ve been dealing with for the last few weeks.

1.) Finn is just dirty! Yes Suresh cheated, but Suresh has always admitted that he was wrong and made it known he wanted us back. Finn is a flip flopper who wants what he can’t have. He is in a couple with Kat, knows how she feels about him and he still is trying to get some from MC? I definitely hosed him down with cold water for that! Kat still wants you after the embarrassment you continuously put her through, shame. Also I caught that comment when he said he MAY be open to the idea of marriage BUT I’m still me at the end of the day. So you want to have your cake and eat it to, got it. 😒👌🏾

2.) Not only did Suresh confess that we are is one and only love we found out he was gonna PROPOSE TO US?!?!??🥹🥹🥹 I wanted MC to just hop in his arms after that like they were both ready to commit to one another! Granted, they probably need couple therapy to help with that communication first but they wanted each other!😭😭😭 What if they were gonna propose to each other on the same day?! MY HEART 😭💖 Now we gotta thank Gabi for this cause without her foolishness and calling herself trying to one up MC we would not have gotten that, so for that thank you Gabi. I felt a tad bit bad for her only a tad, but i had to remember the snarky comments she gave us. The one thing I wished FB would have gave us when she was leaving is that we could tell her off like with Arlo and Meerat, but her not only embarrassing herself but then leaving was very satisfying. 😌

3.) Alfie 🙄🙄🙄 I DO NOT WANT YOU! WE ARE NOT GETTING BACK TOGETHER! What is not clicking?!? You messed that up babe. When he call himself saying that Suresh messed things up with MC I wanted to scream NO YOU DID! And he thought going on a dusty musty and crusty tour would bring feelings back, sir that is dead and gone! Suresh learned his lesson on losing me, you are too little too late. You had the nerve to kiss Kat, recouple with meerat, and then think you can come back to me, kick rocks sir!

4.) Suresh babe, I know you are truly and genuinely sorry but I need that cockiness to comeback. I chose you, I choose you, it was always gonna be you. The fact that he was packing his bags cause he figured my MC didn’t want him broke my heart. I wished since we were alone we could have gotten a cute moment or at least a snog or something! 😫😫

Lastly, that cliffhanger was so unnecessary FB like why?! Why couldn’t we have chosen our couple and then we get a cliffhanger for the others. 😤 Overall this volume was fun and so satisfying! 😄 Def giving me ideas and has me pumped for the boat scene (that will hopefully have bits *🤞🏾*). Also, I actually think Kat could be a really good dancer if she went into that.
