So you know that post about me being scared about sharing my work if it isn't the popular opinion or anything generally commonly appealing? Yeah so as I was typing out the tags my brain threw a core memory at my face and went "you absolutely know why"

Anywau basically like, i was an undertale fan during the undertale renissance (is that how you spell it?) And i was fucking OBSESSED over glitchtale (until early season 2 + before camila was outed to be a shitbag) and thought glithtale was very very cool

Ankther thing is that i was a chronic deviantart scroller at the tjme (also on google images) and i love lovr loooooved looking at people's art

So i was like "hey i could do that too!" And started making fanart for glitchtale, specifically that final battle part where they're in The Orb™ in s1

I was doing it in school because at this point everyone was basically just hanging out (my elementary's system was 1st grade to 6th grade (i was... 5th grade iirc) And also had this weird systen where the younger half of elementary would go home 2 hours earlier than the older half (1pm), idk why) and like, because there was literally just 4 people here because small school, i showed my wip to the other 3 people present in the area

#man. they were - and to a certain extent they are - one of the greatest bands that emerged recently #their debut album is WTF SO GOOD like. you could hear the influences of the artists they looked up to; you could see what elements they #took and all; but they were super original and recognizable. each of the songs had an atmosphere to it that was theirs alone #not a rip off; not a copying of their fav bands... it was THEM. and they had that narrativity to their songwriting that was just so good #you can just hear the raw potential they have!! I remember when the first single of their second album came out and i was SHOCKED because #they improved a hell lot in terms of technicalities; especially Emerson. then Remington; then Sebastian. Emerson was shocking #for a while I thought they changed drummer. incredible for real. but then the third and fourth album kinda disappointed me tbh #I loved them a lot and found many songs to obsess with; but they weren't as good as the first two. they were less original; as if they #divided one of their first songs into different other songs. they became easy to categorize; like. now their album have That One Song for #those who like heavier stuff; That One Other Song for those who prefer lighter ballads; The One that serves as a hit; and so it goes. the #first albums weren't like this; they were messier but in a way that made sense. they were artistic; they were fresh and new. like. they had #so much POTENTIAL. I truly believed they could become some of The Greats - great as Talking Heads; or Bowie or something like that yknow!! #oh. and the last albums were a lot less narrative in terms of songwriting than all of the others; they were less imaginative in general #whatever. I still love them with my full heart my babies <3 because they were SO KIND in person! #i just feel like tbh every b6 character (that wasnt a certain overhyped one) got screwed over #like even the book1 charas. one doesnt really change but just gets a vaguely aged up design and a forced ship with one more of the player ch #aracters. and the other just gets hypocritically killed by his supposed 'friends' and gets a retconned ex who tries to murder his sister #then from the new ones ash just literally gets written off the story. not to mention gaslighted and manipulated by her boss #elm dies from lack of clear translation and basically does nothing in the series bc they wanted to hype up another character #and that character is just the most predictable villain and basically has no role whatsoever #his boss is the tired old trope of 'f- character who is obsessed with a person/lover who mistreats them but they like it' #and only really gets any sort of 'redemption' from the main character projecting on her #the only character that gets content is this nasty manipulative guy who cant even stay dead #and just like every other morally grey person hes just treated by the plot as a funny buff man who does no wrong #despite clearly being a fucked up individual who is mistreating and leading on most all the people around him #but haha funny shipping funny body man lol. gosh im so done w these fans sometimes #that being said i suppose i like b7 cast better. they at least are balanced imo #its just the whole 'time' plot twist i feel is gonna end up being rushed and kinda meh in the end #but i am always a sucker for time travel so. youve got me there #negative
