Re:Creators was a show that had a spunky magical girl top the grimdark fantasy lady knight, explode in the middle of a dumpster, and the main antagonist got defeated by mc recoalescing her hostie for wild tantric sex in a bubble universe.
It also had Yellow Tumblr with Catgirls and was mostly about issues of depiction of anime industry in Shirobako.

You should look up Kirameki Mamika from Re;Creators.
It's... fun.
I already know enough about that particular Shitty "Deconstruction" (a.k.a. a male writer doesn't know anything about a genre he treats as stupid and shallow because it's for girls)~

a SPR AU based off the basic concept of the anime Re:Creators, where it's multiple Aus thrown together in a new universe (with maybe their au creators, idrk), would be really dope honestly. Especially if it was a collab au.
If you don't know the basic concept of Re:Creators (Which is the most I know of it, I've been meaning to watch it but idk what streaming service has it yet) is to my knowledge (which isn't much) basically: multiple fictional characters from different medias, like games, manga, novels, and shows, get brought to the real world and split into two groups. the Anti-Creator group/the bad guys (who are characters from mostly darker media that wants to punish their creators for making their stories dark and make people [the characters in the story] go through trauma) and the Pro-Creator Group (which mostly consists of characters from lighter media). and I think, if I remember this from where I heard of this show, each character is supported to be an homage of the archetypes they start off as (like: Mamika Kirameki who is an homage to magical girls)

Kirameki Mamika from Re:Creators
Re:Creators is a curious show where characters from anime, manga and games come into real world Japan. While some adjust to their new lives a faction of them feel the need to take revenge on the authors of the source material they came from. From their point of view, their creators are immoral for having made a world that's full of suffering, all for the sake of consumer entertainment.
Kirameki Mamika is from a children's magical girl anime, very different from the real world. Her simplistic views such as "people who punish bad guys are good", leads her to join the antagonists. And the shock that her attacks can cause pain, injury and destruction, leads her to become very conflicted about her place in this world.
Some very big names are involved with this production. The original creator is Hiroe Rei, the creator of Black Lagoon and the director is Aoki Ei, who directed Fate/Zero. The soundtrack is provided by Sawano Hiroyuki who's done incredible work on Kill la Kill and Attack on Titan.
The show itself gets pretty meta and is almost a parody of a variety of genres. It's one that rewards those who are familiar with all the tropes of anime and games. But it also manages to keep interesting as each of the characters clash and their motivations are revealed.
