We're fucked as a nation. Forcing people to have children and then not passing laws to help protect those children. What the fuck kind of sense does this make?? Who in their right mind thinks this all makes sense?? They said they overruled it because nowhere in the constitution did it mention abortions. Do you know how many "modern" things were probably NOT mentioned in fucking 1788 (constitution ratification date). That was over 200 freaking years ago!!!!!! Women didn't even have basic rights 200 years ago. POC weren't considered under the "all men are created equal" statement. Over 200 years ago segregation & slavery were still legal (the former having been outlawed not even 100 years ago, 58 to be specific). 200 years ago people like me didn't fucking matter, and it's bullshit that 200 years later, it's still the same situation. People can now be denied an abortion. We're going back in time. And that's fucking insane.

The world is both literally and metaphorically on fire and we, through too many generations of ignorance and exploitation, have forgotten what it sounds like when it screams.

Stop.

It is the end of June but it feels like the heart of August. It feels like hellfire and bad decisions and the sore, stagnant lack of safety. It feels like Us v. Them; it feels like the beginning of the end, and we are not winning this again.

Stop. Rewind.

It is January 22, 1973. It is the day of an echoing, monumentous victory that our mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers never thought they would have to fight for again.

Stop. Fast forward.

It is June 24th, 2022. We have reveled in this well earned, rightfully deserved victory for nearly 50 years, but now we are rewinding, again.

Stop. (Just stop-)

Why must we, as a country, regress and suffer from the uneducated decisions of bad men who will never feel the repercussions of their actions? Why should we continue to allow people who don't even seem to have an inkling of an idea of the damage they're doing make and change the rules? The answer is, we shouldn't.

Play.

If overturning Roe v. Wade means women no longer have control over their bodies and what happens to them, then I say let us show these fuckheads what that really looks like, what happens then.

Let us lose the self control that allows us to smile politely and let it go when men catcall or keep trying to make advances after we've already said no. Let us lose the submissive, apologetic passiveness we sugarcoat ourselves in every day and start baring teeth in a whole new way when asked to smile by these godforsaken ignorant fucking men - let us show them the consequences of their actions.

Having self control is an all-or-nothing sort of thing. So if they think that they can pick and choose what to take away, then so can we. Let us match their withdrawal with our own, like an eye for an eye, and strip away everything they think makes us weak - let us show up at their front doors, feral and angry and ready to bathe ourselves in the blood of our enemies. Let us remind them that it was their own choice to take away ours that has led to their inevitable demise; what else is to be expected when the hand that feeds turns into the hand that starves?

Regularly cuts education spending

Regularly tries to cut programs that help families in financial distress

Regularly lets sexual assault go unpunished/underpunished

Regularly blames victims of sexual assault for their assault

Regularly has mass shootings yet resists any form of gun control

Regularly allows people to go bankrupt over medical debt because Healthcare is so outrageously expensive

Has so many orphans in need of families yet allows adoption agencies to exercise prejudices against homosexual families trying to adopt

Regularly allows many of those orphans to be exposed to abusive families because the child protective agencies are so overworked, understaffed, and underfunded

Enables megatech companies to run website monopolies that funnel children into social media sites that generate the most ad revenue at expense to the children who are now indoctrinated into trends that are not age appropriate and therefore enables child predators a platform to abuse minors

Allows an increasingly militant police force to be violent in apprehending people of color, mentally handicapped, and/or lower financial classes which has created several examples of racist and prejudiced cops murdering unarmed children because they were poc/poor/disabled and seen as a threat because of it

Allows schools to continue abusing queer students for being queer in order to appease the ideals of religious, increasingly extremist parents/staff/students

Enables and actually actively endorses an overall over-consumerist, wasteful society to abuse its most vulnerable members for the profits of a small group of elites who own financial control over 90% of our resources amongst themselves alone

Allowed Trump to run for office period
