Ancient people often put up boundary markers on their land that contained curses against anyone who violated their property. This “donation stela” from 804 BCE memorializes the gift of some land to a temple. It threatens a curse against anyone who would keep the land from its religious purpose:
This Hittite stele depicts a man named Laramas who ruled a small kingdom around 1000 BCE. It curses anyone who erases his name: “let him surrender his power and…his head, house, wife, child…”
I absolutely love your larama (Larry/Rama) fics especially since there’s barley any content of them out there!!
If you’re still writing ideas could you possibly write Rama being affectionate with Larry and buying him new plants/flowers? Peepaw deserves some attention after being lonely for like 60 years.
Oh definitely!
"Good morning Rita." Larry greeted as he entered the kitchen.
"Larry! You slept in for once. I've been told not to let you outside." Rita sipped her tea.
"Why?" Larry tilted his head slightly.
"mmm...it's a surprise."
"Ok...." Larry joined Rita at the island and, before long, the two had gotten on to the topic of strange hats. Rama soon entered the room.
"Larry you're up!" Rama quickly came over and gave him a hug.
"Hi Rama. Why are you wearing my gardening gloves?" Larry looked up, expecting an answer, but was instead pulled out of his chair.
"Come on! I have a surprise for you outside!" Larry looked over at Rita who simply smiled and sipped her tea. Rama, as expected, led Larry outside.
"Oh..." Larry smiled as walked along the new stone path that led to his greenhouse. Along the sides of it were newly planted rose bushes and sunflowers.
"Did you do this by yourself?" Larry turned back towards the house.
"Yeah...I...I got up at 3 to start..."
"Rama, it's ten. Get over here." Rama practically bounced over to him. Larry placed a kiss on the shorter man's forehead, or the best he could with his bandages.

The gig I went to last night, THE ELVIS TRIBUTE ARTIST WORLD TOUR, was probably the strangest of my life:
The auditorium was sold out so the place was packed. These gentlemen are supposed to be the top three Elvis impersonators in the world as presented by Elvis Presley Enterprises themselves. And I believe it. All three looked, and more importantly sounded, amazing. They have clearly earned their titles.
The first Elvis up was Ben Thompson, 2018 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Champion
He was Elvis circa 1950s, gold laramae jacket, black painted on trousers, dislocatable hips. I mean the wiggling... oh my lord the wiggling...
Elvis no. 2 was Dean Z, 2013 EPE Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest winner
He was Elvis ala 1968 comeback special. Full on black leather catsuit, and assured sexiness. Now I've never been attracted to Elvis. But I have to admit, the leather, the attitude... it... worked.
But this is where things started to get trippy. Now I like Elvis, I enjoy his music, but I'm no superfan, so maybe that's why I just didn't get it. The audience went mental. People were screaming "I love you!" Women went down to the stage for a kiss, like LOTS of women. A one point he came off the stage and walked, well sang, amongst the crowd. The man was kissed and groped by half the damn audience. I really don't know how he didn't even miss a beat. As I watched in bemusement, I could hear my Mom muttering "It's not real, they do know it's not really him... right?"
I've been to see genuine celebrities at that hall. I've never seen a reaction like this... to anyone... ever.
Following intermission was Shawn Kush, first ever Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Champion crowned in Memphis, Tennessee. Voted World's Greatest Elvis on BBC One
1970s concert era Elvis. Light blue jumpsuit, jewellery, scarves.
They swarmed the stage. He would toss the scarf he was wearing into the grasping hands of the audience, grab another from a stage hand, wear it for a beat, let it fly. Wash, rinse, and repeat. I lost count. People were running down the stairs, through the entire hall, to get to the stage, for their very own sweaty scarf.
I was in the floor laughing whilst mother shook her head in sheer disbelief.
Had I not been suffering from near exhaustion following another long few days at work, I may have been able to get more into the spirit of things and not have found it all quite so bizarre. As it was, I was too pooped to whoop.
Bottom line? It was a hell of a show. The performers gave it their all and I genuinely appreciated their hard work and obvious talent. And if nothing else, it was certainly definitely... an experience.

Por este amor insulso, que a veces cuando no quiero tu me haces tomar impulso, y se me acelera el pulso con solo escuchar tu voz, y aunque vos no es para mi, puedo sentirme orgullosa de ser tal como una rosa entre este lío de jazmín.
