Bright red lips that make a man think the most sinful of things.

Kohled eyes that you could spend hours getting lost in.

Yea, Bobby clocks you the minute you walk into that party with along with all the other talent.

He’s been expecting you; it’s been two weeks since his last check in, he knew they’d send someone in sooner or later. He hasn’t been able to reach out because they’ve got his phone bugged, his laptop hacked and a guy that follows him everywhere he goes because the man he’s hunting is paranoid as fuck.

This crowd, they’re high end, Manhattan’s elite, men with an appetite for the finer things. Booze, coke and women. He doesn’t shift from his place on the ten-thousand-dollar sofa, that would give him away instead he waits for you to come to him. A man with money and means, doesn’t make the first move.

You work the room with the other girls, make a show of flirting with different men, act like you’re weighing up your other options, but he knows you’ve only got eyes for him, on the job and off it.

Your gaze is sultry as you approach him, your mouth framing into a pretty little pout that makes him want to run his thumb over those lips, smearing the lipstick. Your hands come to rest on his thighs, thumbs chasing up the inner seam of his navy-blue suit trousers as you lean in close. The scent of your perfume floods his senses, it’s something dark and sensual, fitting for a woman that costs more than most men’s salaries.

“Hi.” You whisper and he sees you behind all the make up and the falsehoods.

He sees the woman he’s spent nights tangled up in, the one with the easy laugh and the kind eyes. The one that buys coffee and a sandwich for Joey, the guy that sits on the stoop keeping watch on the neighbourhood. The one that spends hours in the bookstore around the corner, fingertips chasing over the titles. He misses that version of you, he misses that version of him.

“Hi.” He murmurs, the left side of his mouth twitching up into a smile as his thumb chases over the apple of your cheek. You savour his touch and there’s a relief in his chest because he knows that you see him too.

Bobby Reyes, not the man he’s pretending to be.

His lips brush over yours. There’s a tenderness in his kiss, it’s soft and heated, conveying everything he’s been longing to say over the past few weeks.

I love you.

I miss you.

I want you.

His grip on your jaw tightens as he exhales because this isn’t about love, not right now it’s about duty. The role he’s slipped into, the man he’s become has paid to fuck you and that’s the energy he needs to bring to the table.

His hand threads through your hair, gripping it tightly in his fist as he pulls you into his lap. Your thighs part as you straddle his hips, the hem of your dress creeping higher as your entire body presses against the length of his.

“Let’s give them something to talk about, shall we?”

Israel’s legal manipulations draw on a series of ambiguities and exceptions that constitute international law, revealing that the laws of war favour states over non-state actors and the strong over the weak and consequently might not be the best tool to shield civilians in Gaza. Let us take some concrete examples. The standing orders given to the soldiers entering the Gaza Strip in 2014 were clear: Palestinians who did not heed Israel’s warnings to evacuate their homes and flee south became legitimate military targets. One soldier explained to the Israeli organisation Breaking the Silence that: “There weren’t really any rules of engagement … They told us: ‘There aren’t supposed to be any civilians there. If you spot someone, shoot’. Whether the person posed a threat or not wasn’t even a question; and that makes sense to me. If you shoot someone in Gaza it’s cool, no big deal. First of all because it’s Gaza, and second because that’s warfare. That, too, was made clear to us – they told us, ‘Don’t be afraid to shoot’, and they made it clear that there are no uninvolved civilians.” One might think that a military order permitting indiscriminate firing at civilians would be deemed illegal under international law, particularly given the principle of distinction (the bedrock of the laws of war calling on warring parties to distinguish at all times between civilians and combatants, and prohibiting the intentional attacking of civilians) – and given the fact that over half of the 2.3 million Palestinians currently living in the Gaza Strip are children. The irony is that Israel actually uses the laws of war to portray itself as the moral actor. As it has done earlier this week, in 2014, the Israeli army instructed hundreds of thousands of Palestinians to leave their homes and travel to the south knowing full well that among those living in the area are thousands of elderly and sick people and that the time it gave them to vacate the area was not sufficient. But Israel also knows that warning the Palestinian civilians and instructing them to leave will allow it to deny the very existence of civilians within northern Gaza. That is precisely the meaning of the phrase “there are no uninvolved civilians”, since it brands all those who have remained in the area – even if civilians are still the majority and are unable to leave, as the United Nations has averred about the current situation – as “participants in hostilities” or as “voluntary human shields”. Such terms render these civilians “killable”, according to some interpretations of the laws of war. And since the claim to morality is based on compliance with the laws of war, the lethal violence that Israeli soldiers use against civilians who remain in their homes is then constructed as morally justifiable and even ethical.

The National (UAE) reports:

Gaza's Health Ministry has said it will stop co-ordinating with the World Health Organisation in evacuating patients and medical staff from hospitals, following the arrest of the director of Al Shifa Hospital, the largest in the besieged enclave. “We condemn the arrest of Muhammad Abu Salmiya and a number of medical personnel held by the occupation forces. He left the complex with the UN and WHO following evacuation orders from the occupation with dozens of patients and health workers,” Gaza's Health Ministry spokesman Ashraf Al Qudra told The National. “We are calling all sides to take responsibility to release the doctor and those with him. This is a crime against humanity."

Hamas called the IDF "Nazi" for the arrest.

This arrest comes after weeks of Salmiya's strenuous denials that Hamas operated from the hospital.

Now, as journalists report on the large tunnel complex underneath Shifa, there is no question that Salmiya knew about the tunnels, since they used electricity siphoned from the hospital itself. Even Haaretz's headline says, "Did Hamas Operate Under Gaza's Al-Shifa Hospital? A Tour of the Tunnels Leaves No Room for Doubt: Israeli journalists were shown a conduit under the facility stretching over 170 meters. There's no way the hospital's managers didn't know what was going on"

Which means that not only was Salmiya aware of Hamas' use of the hospital, but he was actively supportive of it, and tried to cover it up. For the entire month Salmiya was whining to the media about Shifa being hours away from running out of electricity, he knew that Hamas was using the hospital's electricity for military purposes.

That is direct support for terrorists - terrorists who murdered Noa Marciano on the hospital grounds.

Moreover, Dr. Salmiya clearly supported Hamas using his staff as human shields.

Beyond that, Salmiya and the other senior staff at the hospital who were aware of Hamas' presence were all voluntary human shields for Hamas, which makes them - according to many interpretations of international law - effectively participants in hostilities themselves.

Salmiya crossed the line from allowing Hamas to use his staff and patients as human shields into actively supporting this use by Hamas. "Utilizing the presence of a civilian or other protected person to render certain points, areas or military forces immune from military operations" is a war crime.

Any real supporter of international law should be celebrating Salmiya's arrest as a step towards justice for victims of Hamas brutality.

But the "human rights" groups have no interest in human rights when it comes to Gazans endangered by Hamas and their supporters. Not when Jews are in the vicinity,

Hamas' cutting ties with WHO and the UN is also a message to all NGOs in Gaza: they only exist to support Hamas terrorism, and if they don't actively defend Hamas they are endangering their own work in Gaza.

That little detail will not be mentioned by the mainstream news media.
