“Sounds good,” you said, flipping off the record player, “if not, we can always check on Netflix too.”

You followed Kit over to the living room, it being his house and all, and watched as he flipped the television on. Kit took a seat, as did you, beside him.

The two of you were sitting closer than “just friends” but far enough away to be “something less than lovers.” This was another parallel in your confusing relationship.

Your relationship with Kit, as lovely as it was, could be confusing at times. The two of you knew that you shared mutual feelings of fondness for one another, but neither of you had acted upon them just yet.

After flipping channels for a while, Kit stumbled upon the 90’s hit staring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, “You’ve got Mail.” Your favourite movie.

“You still like this one right?” Kit asked, relaxing back into the sofa letting his arms rest on the top of the grey cushions.

LOL idk why im one of the only guys u trust for manga/anime opinions BUT SURE do you mean like... what do I think of the current plot? or mha in general? (I will answer both. i love to talk) current plot: (SPOILERS) It's clearly the final arc and its clearly taking longer than Horikoshi intended lol. Overall it's decent shounen fare? Nothing mindblowing but it's well drawn and weekly developments r fun so im not complaining. I'm not the type to get rly invested in villains so AFO/shigaraki even Dabi are only interesting to me thematically and as characters I don't rly care but the visuals are cool enough. I love the pure white negative space hair and Horikoshi clearly loves AKIRA LOL. I will say I LOVE the ongoing Boku No Open Heart Surgery saga that's going on with Bakugo though. I love that they have to save him in some ridiculous weird power-based way lol, normal first aid would be booooring!! + I think its smart for the manga to keep him teetering on the edge of death and flashing his lifeless body every 5 pgs (lol) because it means even if the final fight drags a lil I'll keep tuning in.

in general: There's a lot of shounen manga out there but there's only one shounen manga that caters specifically to people who love the school aspect of x-men comics so I think I'm pre-disposed to love mha based on that alone. Beyond that, I love how idiosyncratic and energetic horikoshi's art style is.. I feel like the two things u can tell right off the bat abt his drawings is that he draws rly fast and that he rly loves his characters lol. Evident in the sketches he puts on twitter and the bonus content in all the tankobon volumes (it's also great for ""content""" he's a good content creator), he's always coming up with situations and outfits and concepts on the fly for those kids like they truly live in his brain. Also the more I read the more I realize I actually quite enjoy Horikoshi's writing too? I think he really clearly grew up with and adores paying homage to corny shounen superhero stuff but he's also very genre savvy and (I think) purposefully avoids a lot of common criticisms and pitfalls. Like the power scaling is pretty tame, the adults never truly give up responsibility of the kids & continue to own up to mistakes/endangerment (but never so much as to prevent the kids from doing cool action stuff!! duh), the cast is relatively well balanced despite being so big etc etc... It's not perfect, there's pretty significant failing on gender parity, and some of the pacing is way better in archival format > week-to-week but it's pretty good overall. Also its funny?? I feel like in the midst of 9486135613 action battle series + generic anime comedy we forget to address when something actually has good jokes and i think mha does. The aoyama cheese stuff made me laugh, the kids protesting biased commentary was funny as hell, and honestly i think mirio distracting afo with his ass?? funnier than naruto's final yaoi no jutsu imo. Sorry if you wanted me to dish out criticism I know its kind of popular to hate on mha rn because it's pretty generic low-brow shounen. And also adults who obsess over yaoi-ifying these kids are like the butt of the joke on the internet rn. But I don't rly run in fandom circles, it's just a solid manga to me with fun characters. Actually 90% of the reason I started reading mha again was because I listened to the mangasplaining ep abt it recently and they made me remember how much there was to like! Good to listen to if you want a more fandom-free objective take on the manga. Also Horikoshi credits all of his assistants in a bonus page in every volume! just a cool thing to note! kinda rare for a mangaka and kind of important for a series that requires as much assistant work as a wsj shounen. I feel like the amount of assistants that have gone on to lead mha spin off manga projects is kind of testament to how good his relationship w them is.

like it's fine to say 'cor sonny was shit today' because he was, and it's fine to say if he's on a bad run of form too such as times like last season (not his fault) but this person was also questioning his commitment to club and the team... im sorry but you just cannot ask for more from a player. he's one of the committed players to the club i've ever seen, and even if kane had stayed there was no other candidate for the captaincy in my opinion. it HAD to be sonny. i have never once looked at him and thought he was lacking any effort, not even last season when there was a few players who i wasn't sure were quite putting their all in (understandable, they were playing under conte after all)

and yeah so what if sonny isn't a shouty person? players are allowed to have a 'softer' personalty. we know sonny has such a good relationship with his teams mates on and off the pitch that they'll all run through a brick wall for him. he's the bridge between all the players and language etc... people were also a bit like this with hugo as if he wasnt vocal on the pitch and would be angry when needed in interviews like sonny - people seemed under the impression he never fucking spoke lmao. there's also been some talk around this in how people talk about odegaard and his captaincy too... just because a player doesn't go around CONSTANTLY shouting a la henderson or roy fucking keane like its still the 90s doesn't mean they're not a good leader for being 'soft' it just means they have a different leadership style and personality and there's nothing wrong with that. there's definitely some racism when it comes to people thinking sonny's soft, imo. (it's also funny when you consider that rival fans think that sonny is some horrible dirty player who goes around trying to purposefully injure players because of a spell where he was petulant and got 2 reds and then his foul that lead to aurier breaking gomes' ankle... 2 completely differently views of him lmao)

look, i'll always love kane for all the goals but yeah, he really could do no wrong in a lot of spurs fans eyes. even when he went on strike. like COME ON, no other player would have been forgiven so quickly after that, and no other player wouldnt have it held against them. going back to the commitment thing, sonny would NEVER EVER pull a stunt like that. it's really annoying that people don't see that sonny is just as - if not more- committed to us than harry was. he could have pushed for a move every summer for the past 5 years and hasn't. sonny ALWAYS stepped up in kane's absence (as seen in the champions league that year). can't even say kane was afforded extra grace because he's an academy lad when you look at how our fans have treated other academy players over the years so what does that leave... i don't think people quite realise they're doing it, tbh (same with the 'soft' comments)

i’m a syskid but i feel like i don’t really relate to most things for littles, as i’m very independent and generally a bit older than most stuff is aimed at (i’m between 11-13). i have all of the body’s memories, even if i can’t think about certain things, so i can come off even older to outsiders combined with our autism and general not remembering being that age

our system struggled a lot with being taken seriously when we were my age, so i dont really front much or interact with little-focused spaces mainly because they feel demeaning to all of us. luckily irl i mainly just look like we’re being Extra Autistic. mainly i struggle with both wanting to be treated like the age i actually am while still being independent. i want to be able to do colouring pages and make potions and speak like i want to and still have people respect my ability to think for myself. looking at content aimed at a general little audience feels like all the worst parts of being a kid, and i know that most of it is made for younger kids by systems with littles, but it still annoys me that there isn’t really a “mainstream” tag or term for people like me that isn’t 90% sanrio aesthetic binkies and advice posts covered in clip-art which always have “get an adult to help” with basic tasks. I just want a well-known term that doesn’t make people immediately think im a toddler that needs hand-holding through everything, or that i’m faking because i sound “too old” to be a sys-kid.

unironically i started playing honkai seventeen days ago just for aventurine and I think I'm physically ill for this man. like gahhhh hes so silly. i have nearly 80 pulls thjat ive spent literally all my time grinding for, and I'm at 60 pity and I will literally kill someone if I lose the 50/50 .90% of gamblers quit before they hit jackpot and similarly 90% of Honkai Star Rail players quit before they win their 50/50. 90% of Honkai Star Rail players quit before they get E6 Aventurine. I don't even know what that one kid's name is but he has blonde hair and swords and he's from the Xianzhou Luofu (not that far in the plotline, havent met him yet) but if I lose my 50/50 to that kid I might just die.

i hope i dont sound like i am immediately picking apart what you said because i basically agree with 99% of it i just wanted to add a couple of thoughts i had (this got so much longer than i intended i am so sorry)

I don’t like how he said to be mindful about the intentions of people who raised the question, because a lot of them had genuine concern about it being a possibility and this could have been a very serious and dangerous thing if it had been true.

i fully agree with what you said here - however i feel like the death threats/harassment he was getting kinda justifies what he was saying to an extent. in his position, i doubt he is looking at each and every account to figure out whether the individual was coming from a place of concern or was adding onto the harassment. i don't think outright dismissing things like this is a good idea so to speak, but to me it does make sense, from his pov, to tell people to be mindful. many of those people were coming from a place of concern, but i can see how some of it could have came off as less than such in addition to the threats he was getting even though they were mostly separate situations. if this hadn't been the case it would have rubbed me more in the wrong way, but i can understand why he would say it in this scenario even if its like :/.

however this is something i would encourage of everyone - he is not wrong to basically be saying check the source of where you are getting your information from. i would say 90% of the people talking about it were acting in good faith, but that is not always the case, and people acting in bad faith can still have good points that should be taken seriously. it is just something that i think everyone should take note of - in any situation everyone is going to have bias and if you're going to take someones words as fact you should recognize that. that goes for quackity's words too. he is obviously biased in one way in this situation which doesnt mean he is lying in every word he says, but take that into account when looking at what he says. same goes for the admins who speak out you know?

And great that he’s saying that there has been some restructuring made within the team, and hopefully these changes will only leave the studios with competent people who are good intentioned towards everyone involved. I won’t like though, I fail to see how asking for everyone’s feedback and taking it into account to make these changes wasn’t an option. this is a double edged sword imo - im gonna take it in two parts. he says that the restructuring is good and full of people who are good intentioned, but there really is no way to know that? i am under the assumption that he thought the first set of people were good and they weren't, and im not saying we can't trust these people/his judgement, but there truly is no way to know until things progress. id like to trust that the new management is good, but im wary just because of everything and it is hard to put trust into the new managment without seeing anything come out of it. i know these things take time, but its hard to blindly trust that these guys are good when there is nothing to prove it.

on the twitter admins/other admins, as much as i do not agree with it, it does make sense. it sucks and i hate that it happened, but it was pretty clear that financially keeping the same amount of admins on the team wasn't going to work. removing the twitter admins seems like a logical choice (i loved what they did. i wish they weren't removed. but in the grand scheme of things it does make sense to let them go first because even if it sucks the life and some of the fun out of it, their jobs were not essential to keeping the server running) but the way it was gone about was so... not it. the way they were all informed of how they were fired was just not good. point blank not good. i dont know if there was a way to keep them on while being able to pay them, im inclined to believe at the moment he probably wasn't lying and there wasn't, but it doesnt change the fact that that situation was not handled well. they could have let them go with more communication to the situation. thats what bothers me the most.

Meanwhile people will discuss these topics that are so far removed from the main issue and focus less on what the admins went through.

THIS!!! i do understand why people have brought talks about lore and stuff into this conversation - it highlights what the admins went through using tangible examples lol, but part of me wishes they hadn't because exactly as you said. people focus on these issues and not the other ones! it happened at the start of this too, where people focus on the lore/story related problems (which isn't a wrong thing to point out) but in doing so kinda push away the other issues even if that isnt the intent. sharing these stories was not to complain about pushing x creators lore to the front and holding y creator's back but to highlight some of the conditions and i wish that didn't get misconstrued as much as i feel like it has.

hiii so sorry !! i actually started answering ur ask when i was on vacation a couple weeks back and then i didnt have enough ideas and put it in my drafts....and to no one's surprise i forgot about it lmao so thank u for reminding me !!

also i can't NOT have himeno brainrot atp don't worry heheh

however im afraid I won't deliver too much on this bc instead of like individual headcanons ive mostly just filled in the blanks that canon left with my own things (often self-indulgent) and made up a life for himeno which i now basically treat as canon lmao (yes this is delusion central)

i will attempt this though but fair warning that a lot of the behaviors and things i associate with her aren't very wholesome or a jolly good time (i suffer daily with this brain)

(cw for mentions of addiction and a lil bit of drugs, i promise it gets more lighthearted after the first few ones lmao)

so, starting off strong, I don't think himeno spends a lot of her time sober. namely, i headcanon her almost always running on some kind of buzz. i think it's established that she handles her liquor well so i dont think it would be noticeable at work, but considering she trained under kishibe for a long time, i can see her having a flask of her own and sipping at it throughout the day.

in the same spirit, i think she would also take any opportunity to properly get wasted. friday nights with aki at her apartment, outings with the people from work etc, especially if she doesn't have work in the morning. i think maybe she believes she's more fun to be around when drunk.

i don't think these behaviors are about entertainment, but rather a way she's found to be more "functional" and able to keep doing what she does and uphold the carefree persona she's established, hence incorporating them into her life to the point of very rarely being stone cold sober.

i think she also doesn't like the idea of her family knowing about how she copes. maybe she doesn't answer her father's phonecalls sometimes, scared of sounding too noticeably drunk at noon on a tuesday. or she's often stressed about her sister's occasional surprise visits in case she comes over and finds himeno's place in disarray and her in a similar state.

apart from alcohol, which is basically canon, i once had a thought about himeno occasionally abusing pills. pain meds prescribed for recovering from a work injury hitting just right paired with some beer on the side one evening and boom yk. i bet it wouldn't be too hard for her, considering her line of work, to get her hands on opioids regularly enough, especially since the story is set in the 90s and doctors used to prescribe them left and right before the amount of patients getting dependent skyrocketed.

to complete the holy trinity of vices, again based on things mentioned in canon, i think himeno is also the type of person to sleep around a lot with distraction being the objective. she has a reputation for getting flirty and handsy with ppl from public safety when drunk and i think that speaks for itself. this is not inherently a vice ofc, but in her case I don't think she engages in this behavior being sound of mind. it almost never happens when she's sober and i headcanon her often regretting it at least briefly the next day.

oof that was a lot lmao. um chill anyways, on a lighter note i have a couple thoughts about her relationship with aki !!

i think it's a habit for them to take care of each other's injuries after missions. im actually writing a fic about aki showing up at himeno's doorstep, bleeding and expecting to be taken care of in his own begrudging, stuck up way lmao. i think himeno is less likely to straight up go to his house for that, but i see them leaving public safety and going home together to shower and bandage their wounds in companionable silence.

additionally to that whole thing, i personally do believe that their relationship could've had a non-platonic side to it, albeit still casual in its nature. leaving that aside, i think they share quite a bit of affection and physical touch regardless, considering how casually we see them invading each other's personal space in canon. so i think they sleep in the same bed a lot, after tending to each other's wounds, or getting too drunk in himeno's living room. i think it took a while for aki to stop being tense and relax into it, but they settled into a comfortable zone and it was sth they both needed more than they would ever admit.

fujimoto once talked about himeno and said that she is the type to leave a lot of her stuff behind at aki's place and u better believe i ran with it. clothes, hair brushes, a spare toothbrush in the bathroom, you can't change my mind. i also think that to some extent it goes both ways. himeno has a shitload of aki's tupperware at her place, from all the food he brings her weekly, and she never washes them unless aki comes over to do it himself and by the time he decides to take some back, there's always more. black hair ties are often littered in her bathroom cabinets and on one of her night stands. a book on her windowsill that aki brought to read before bed once and then never took home.

not to get dark again, but talking about them is bound to make me sad sooner or later :) based on the way she thinks about aki's death in canon, i think she would often panic when thinking about aki's shrivelling lifespan, especially at the beginning when aki had a lot of years to spare and surely used the sword more freely. i imagine her being restless in her bed with aki sleeping next to her, feeling compelled to check on his breathing or his pulse. reach over and touch his hand to feel him alive and warm, hoping it would soothe her to sleep.

i also think she's there a lot of the times aki cries. i bet the first time she saw him was accidental, or at least not a conscious decision on aki's part. i also bet himeno didn't really know what to think of it initially, but soon looked at aki under a different light bc of it. i think aki finds comfort in himeno being in the same room as the tears spill from his eyes after a day of watching people die. and i think himeno loves giving him that, even though it tugs at her chest in uncomfortable ways she can't quite point out.

i feel compelled to but i won't go into the whole being in love with aki situation, because first of all its not even a headcanon but very much there and secondly i will ramble indefinitely about how i think her pining for him would manifest and this is already a huge post god bless

on a slightly different note before i bring this to a close, i like thinking about her bond with kishibe a lot as well. it's not shown enough in the anime or manga, but i imagine them being friends. i think they would go out for drinks but more to talk than get wasted. i think they'd have the capacity to talk about very real things but also nothing at all. kishibe might be the only person himeno talks to properly about aki, aside from her letters to her sister, because he shares the same life as her and inevitably has more space tl understand. maybe kishibe gets to talk a bit about quanxi too.

Here's what happened: Warning: Major spoilers ahead.

He first proposed to her at his birthday banquet, a week before Penelope's when they were dancing talking at a balcony after dancing together -- it was so romantic! Penelope doesn't know how to dance, so he got her to stand on his feet while he did all the moves -- but he told her it was only a political marriage since the emperor used to tell the late empress (Callisto's mother) that he loved her and Callisto didn't want to use that word, but Penelope turned him down, even though at that moment, when he proposed to her, she realized that she, too, had a crush on him. She turned him down because his affection score still hadn't reached 100% and she believed he would love Ivonne when she appeared later on and was still trying to get an ending with Eckles, who had reached 90-something, iirc, and after turning Callisto down, went back to the estate early and talked to Eckles to check up on his affection score.

Later, Callisto comes to her estate after Ivonne has returned (she returns earlier than she was supposed to) and visits Penelope when she's at the greenhouse and when she asks why he's here, he tells her "I'm here to see my one and only fiancé" and asks her to come with him to the palace at once and live with him instead of at the duchy after seeing that she lost a lot of weight since she didn't have the heart to eat a thing for days after Ivonne came back to the duchy and Callisto thought she was being mistreated. Penelope refuses this time as well after asking Callisto if he was requesting this because he loves her and he couldn't answer that question.

He finally tells her that he loves her when she ends up at another island after running away from her and he teleports to her once again and tells her to stay with him, and their convo's tear jerking to say the least, but then they have this entire make out session that lasts for a very. long. time. and omigosh I fangirled like never before and they finally end up together, although they have to go through a whole load of crap first, dealing with the clan of Laila and the second queen, a gigantic fire-breathing dragon, and Eckles yandere mode and all, but at the end Callisto reaches 100% and Penelope decides to stay with him -- her conversation with him before she decided to stay has me crying an ocean of tears at just the memory, too it was sooooo friggin' sadddddddddddddd.

Callisto becomes the emperor after this and him and Penelope get engaged while Penelope studies to become an archeological professor, which is her dream, and Callisto does his best achieving his dream of being the perfect emperor and lover at the same time, and five years after the main story, while they're still engaged, Penelope gives Callisto news of her being pregnant with his child, who is born after their marriage and is named Judith Regulus. She is born with wings, btw, and calls Callisto her servant, which is cuteeeeeeeee.

When Penelope tells Callisto she's pregnant, by the way, our babygirl starts blushing and crying 😭 I love him so much 😭

I always forget to add this but I'm a bit of a writer too. Sorta, I do fanfic so I never studied it formally but I'm very happy with my works! Ok so like, obviously a million is a lot, but it's both more and less than you think for media/film projects. And actually since it's an indie project, it's way more

There's different tiers of film budgets, starting at micro to big, I had a whole class on it (fun fact, pirates of the Carribean 3 was the most expensive movie ever produced it I remember correctly)

But a million dollars for an indie project is insane. And what's more insane is how poorly that million was used. He could've had access to so much good lighting, actually good costumes (full offense to ranboo those costumes were so incohesive), a good camera for those shots in the second stream

The Blair Witch Project, one of the most successful indie films ever, cost a mere 200k to produce (a lot for us but the film world gets very expensive very fast, renting a decent camera can easily set you back a few hundred a day, so multiply that by however many days you shoot and the camera alone can be thousands of dollars). And that was back in the 90's with a fraction of the tech we have now.

Wait sorry, I'm just reading the wiki article for the Blair Witch Project since I had to google the production cost and it gets better. Most of it was actually done by improv and one of the actors was chosen on the basis that he could use a camera. That's actually so cool. Sorry I got sidetracked there

Anyways ya, so that's a lot of money that ranboo had access too, and a lot more when you consider the average cost of most indie projects, and even with all that, he blew it

I love that story about the people on the Carpathia (because it's kinda heartwarming and bittersweet in the middle of a tragedy) but that's literally all I know about any kind of big boats tbh (also as well I would love to know what got you interested if that's okay to ask??)

its probably a bit cliche but my favourite ocean liner ever is the ms stockholm.

unfortunately, there arent too many good quality photos of it back when it was first launched in 1948 since you know, it was 1948. but its this beautiful, sleek ocean liner. she was the smallest passenger liner on the north atlantic run in the 50s, and idk, i just love how she looks. theres a lot of ocean liners that looked gorgeous like the ss france or ss united states, but they were both still a bit too bulky for me. compared to the stockholm which was just perfectly balanced for her small size.

you might also notice the very angular bow (front bit) and she had that bit because she sailed near the arctic sea so she needed a strong bow that could break ice.

unfortunately, it also broke a ship. im not gonna get into all the details of the collision between stockholm and the ss andrea doria, but off the coast of nantucket in july 1956, the stockholm collided at an almost 90° with the andrea doria.

this happened due to three reasons: fog making it harder to see, the stockholm sailing in the wrong lane (ships have ocean lanes like cars have roads) and the andrea doria attempting a starboard-to-starboard passing to avoid the collision despite the accepted passing being port-to-port.

(imagine youre about to walk into someone. if you both take a step to your respective lefts, that would be port-to-port. its starboard-to-starboard if you went right. but say you went right and they went left, youd collide)

the collision caused the andrea doria to begin to list to port and eventually shed capsize. the list made half the lifeboats unusable, but the crew of the stockholm were already rowing over in their lifeboats.

and the cherry on top was the arrival of the ss île de france, who took on the bulk of remaining passengers and was labelled the hero ship.

out of the 1705 people aboard, 1655 people survived. a much higher survival rate to titanic.

like the titanic wreck, the wreck of the andrea doria is the gravesite for the 51 who didnt make it. their bodies were never recovered.

unfortunately, the wreck is a popular diving spot and looters have taken everthing worth anything from the wreck over time. and even more unfortunately, at least 22 divers have died on the wreck.

once again, these wrecks should be protected by law like the fitz is or like the uss johnston is.

also, the collision completely crushed stockholms bow:

but away from the tragedy of the collision, the stockholm went on to have a very successful career. shes had 12 different owners and 12 different names:

when she was known as athena, she was attacked by pirates in 2003. the crew prevented the pirates from boarding by firing high pressure wate Mr canons at them, but at one point twenty-nine pirate boats surrounded her. and then she was just fine and carried on with her voyage to australia m

in 2009, she got detained in france because the company had unpaid bills, and it just makes me cry laugh when they detain a whole ass ship. i just imagine some officer trying to handcuff a ship.

after the quick dip into the criminal world, she continued to sail until 2021 when she was bought by a company planning to convert her into a hotelship.

afaik, the plans were scrapped and shes back on the market, so if you somehow have the money to buy a boat, the stockholm/astoria is up for sale.

and it is fucking wild to remember that the ship that sank the andrea doria in 1956 is currently on the market and might be fixed up and ready to continue sailing.

the carpathia is a story that almost always makes me cry because its such a good example of the good that humans do. the carpathia sailed through an icefield at night at top speed, despite being much less safe than the titanic, to get there. its both heart-breaking and heart-warming.

i had a phase as a kid where i really liked big boats as well as whales and sharks, but im an afab trans guy and many family members did not think it appropriate for me.

i got back into during lockdown actually. im pretty sure i was lonely because me and my flatmate were trapped at least two hours away from our families and i hadnt seen my mom in so long. back in my first year of uni, i called her everyday.

and so there i am, feeling lonely and also being insomniac at like 3-4am maybe, and i dont know what made me think of it but suddenly i was thinking about the titanic and how lonely it must be down there all alone. im the poster kid for object empathy. and then i was just as lonely like i was reflecting that loneliness onto myself and i was near tears and just couldnt sleep.

so i gave up on sleep and realised i needed to distract myself to feel better so i just started looking up shipwrecks and ghost ships and all manner of these things. and then suddenly im watching every documentary i can find, every video on youtube and im reading someones very long essay explaining why the titanic olympic switch theory is wrong.

and here i am. it started as a hyperfixation and developed into a SpIn, and then when i could finally visit my mom and brother, i made them watch disasters at sea on the tv.

if you ever wanna learn about this sort of thing, disasters at sea is a good show to watch (its all on youtube) and oceanliner designs and big old boats on youtube are very good channels for beginners.

I don't use him at all really. I prefer Venti for CC bc he has tighter CC and longer stunlock. I think the most I use Kazuha is...my Lyney team. Tbh. I don't even think I use him much there either. I have a C6 Layla and she buffs normal and charged attacks + applies cryo and shields. I only use Kazuha if Layla is taken for another team (which is a lot...Layla is the only shielder I use really since I don't have Zhongli yet. He's the only archon I have yet to get bc I got Raiden while pulling for Cheveruse.

Tbh, I'm glad the upcoming banners are worthless to me bc I have a guarantee for Arleccino (thank you Itto for breaking my win streak. I'll 100% get you next time.)

Also, the starters are in the Chronicled Wish banner and its a higher chance of getting them bc its a smaller 4 star pool. But the thing is, I want Amber. My favorite no resin things to do with friends:

Bootleg windtrace: hide and seek but we have to chase each other and its fucking terrifying half the time

Randomizer: i spin a boss wheel i spin a character wheel. Assign characters and try to beat the boss with said characters. Reroll if the boss is immune only if the character is catalyst. Cue confused and terrified screaming for bosses that you don't know the mechanics of. It's more fun when using someone's world who has all bosses open. (Thats the only reason I soloed lvl 90 Raiden with a lvl 40 Dori and a lvl 60 Candace.)

to be totally clear im not a "holds comics/specific runs sacred" kind of person either 😭 i have fun with the young justice show (honestly . was the first thing i saw kon in, and how i immediately fell in love with his character) even if i question the way it handled him and megs characters + relationship (i will not spoiler<3)

i absolutely also gravitate towards characters with anger so when i first saw kon in yja i was enamoured with him and i 100% get loving him as a standalone because i did and still do 😭 yja kon is Why i like kon so much now

glad to hear his hot-headedness is a constant too, it’s odd bc i don’t rly resonate with angry characters personally, but i get SO defensive abt them when ppl act like anger isn’t a legitimate and sympathetic trauma response. i have a feeling that that’s gonna apply here too

Okay, so I'm not sure what exactly you mean by loud, only because there are different types of loud. There's rock and metal, music with heavy bass that makes it loud, upbeat pop songs that are loud just because of what they are. So I'm stabbing in the dark a little. But you also said train tomorrow (today?), sooooo I'm just gonna send random stuff.

Inside Out: truthfully I was too distracted by the singer's hunch in the music video IM SORRY. Also his voice is kinda, nasal? makes me think of, what's it called, the plosives in phonetics that don't get released, like it's just stuck. this probably makes no sense but eh

Losing My Religion: yea. I like this song a lot. that's it.

Tonight Tonight: ahahaha nooo the opening reminded me of gran's revolution era tunes by people's liberation orchestra or whatever. what's the fascination with strange nasal voices and why does it tickle something so specific in us. okay okay but okay I like the sound of this.

Save Your Story: FUCK YES. I'll confess I did pick up Citizen Soldier from you haha. I've listened to them almost as much as David Bowie & Queen this month. they're perfect. it's so self-indulgent. but I really love it.

I’ve personally been really interested in stories that revolve more around mechanics and dynamics in the omegaverse, and wondered if you would want to write about that.

The idea is of O/O Darwin/Alexis. I love O/O, it’s such an interesting dynamic to explore!

The prompt:

With all the games they have been playing the last weeks, in all the different leagues, the players all feel the fatigue and stress it causes their body. This particular match Alexis is on the field and Darwin is a sub, so he’s on the bench for now.

The game drags on (you can pick any game you feel like, or make one up), lots of running up and down for the players. Eventually Alexis feels it all hit him, and he fully stops. A teammate or opponent sees this, and asks the omega if he’s good. Alexis doesn’t respond, just collapses after having played 90+ minutes every game for the last weeks.

Switch to Darwin, who sees his boyfriend collapse, and it’s like something takes over. I like the idea of more “animalistic” parts of people coming out in situations like these. Kind of like Darwin’s instincts take over, and before anyone can blink he has run across the field and dipped down by Alexis.

By the time anyone else reaches them, Darwin is too focused on protecting Alexis, and is refusing to let anyone, even the medics, close. He all but hisses, growls and even attempts to hit people if they get too close for his comfort. It would be great to see the inside of Darwin’s mind if possible, showing how his omega instincts to comfort and seek help is battling with his protective instincts. Maybe it’s all a bit overwhelming for him, and all he can think about is “do not let anyone close, must protect”.

Unable to really do anything, one of their teammates (like Virgil or Mo) ends up having to physically grab and remove Darwin. They are obviously worried about Alexis, but seeing Darwin act like this is frankly scary. The alpha that grabs Darwin somehow manages to ground him enough so that he’s no longer acting on pure instinct.

The medics get Alexis off the field and into a secluded room, and Darwin marches off after them, not sopping for a lone no matter what they say. Alexis wakes up (or woke up on the field, you can decide) and has to comfort a Darwin that is worried, freaking out and stressing about what just happened. He’s scared that his teammates will look at him different, so Alexis has to assure him that it’s going to be fine. Happy ending!

I doubt smut will fit here, but if you want to add some comfort sex at the end I’m not gonna stop you
