I'm Back!! Kinda...
I know it's been a while since I posted my own content or writing but I wrote this a few years back and never shared it but I know this would be helpful to a lot of you girlies now that the job market has once again taken a downturn. I originally wrote this after landing my first full-time job post-2020.
Like many, I graduated into a pandemic and found myself looking for my first job in the midst of a nationwide hiring freeze. The process was grueling but in failure, there are also many lessons learned and luckily, my search ended in success at one of the biggest tech companies in the world. In the past few years, I’ve worked at some of the biggest and best companies in the world making it past several rounds of interviews, impressing my future colleagues, managers, and even VPs so it’s safe to say I know a thing or two about landing a job. Here goes!
B's Guide to Landing Your DREAM JOB PART 1!
If you’re still in college there are a few things I would suggest a few things.
Start interning as soon as possible. The sooner you start practicing interviewing at companies you’re interested in, the better. Also, a few internships on your resume prior to your graduation will help A LOT. Trust me. You’ll have experiences to speak about in all those behavioral interviews as well.
Become friendly with the professors in your field. They can become a good reference for you later. Even if only one to three times a semester go to your professor’s office and chat. They can also put in a good word for you for programs. This brings me to my next point.
In most industries, there are conferences each year that either offer discounts (or free tickets) to college students and/or are directly aimed at college students. If you’re a POC, find programs aimed at diversifying that industry. These conferences often have recruiting opportunities with large companies and most times the interview process won’t be as rigorous compared to an applicant who may have applied online. I would recommend compiling a list at the beginning of each school year with these program names as well as their application due dates.
Don’t join clubs just to have them on your resume. Aim for leadership roles or redirect your time to other personal projects that interest you. It’ll make for a better conversation with your recruiters and hiring managers to say “I built XYZ because I was interested in ABC” rather than “I was just a member of that club and went to the meetings once a month.”
This varies across industries but for the most part, your GPA isn’t all that important especially after you land your first job after college so breathe.
Perfect your resume and this part couldn’t be more critical. In the age of ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) and fierce competition, it’s become vital that your resume can stand out and communicate very clearly how you’re qualified for the job. Here are my resume tips:
My favorite program to create resumes on is Canva. They have a ton of great templates and are super customizable and not to mention, it’s FREE.
Use quantifiable measurements to show your results if possible.
Use action verbs at the beginning of your bullet points. Personally, I believe each description should have at least 3-4 bullet points but never only 1. Here are some of the words on my resume: Constructed, Spearheaded, Managed, Collaborated, and Lead. All of your descriptions should state what you did, how you did it (programs used, methods, etc.), and the outcome.
I personally think every resume should include your: Experience, Skills, Leadership/ Professional Development (for college students this could mean conferences attended, programs, boot camps, etc.), Projects (shows independence and initiative), Contact, and Education. Make sure your LinkedIn is included in your ‘Contact’ section. You should have a personalized LinkedIn link, that’s free.
Your LinkedIn needs to be at 100% completion. This is a place where you can really show off because there are no space limits. This can showcase every job or internship you’ve ever had, every program or project you’ve had an impact on, etc. The better your LinkedIn, the better chance you have a recruiter finding you and inviting you to interview for a role they think would be a good fit.
Your profile picture ideally is a professional one but if not possibly find time to take one in natural daylight with a quality camera and a plain background. I’ve also seen people using AI to now turn regular pics into professional ones.
Interact with posts, comment, and share. This will help get your name and profile circulating.
Announce that you’re looking for a job to your network. Include your resume and what you’re looking for in that post. You never know who might see it.
Grow your network and the easiest place to start is with people you’ve gone to school with and current or previous coworkers.
Put your resume on your LinkedIn profile (You can do this by attaching a media file)
Know your elevator pitch and know it well because every single person you interview with will probably ask you this. My elevator pitch sounds something like this:
I’m Britt and in  June, I graduated from Icy University with a degree in Math and a minor in Sociology. Throughout college, I completed a number of internships doing _______ and have developed skills in _______. When I was a senior I learned about (or developed an interest in) _____  and did _____ to grow my skills or learn more about it. Now that I’ve graduated I’m looking for a role in ______ where I can continue to ______. (My elevator pitch is now different now that I’ve had two full-time roles but you get the point)
Now we apply.
LinkedIn is your friend here and my favorite job posting platform. Set up Job Alerts for companies you’re interested in so that you have a better chance of being an early applicant.
As annoying as this is, you will have to edit your resume for almost every position you apply to. Use the words they use to describe your roles in your work history and remember to always save your resume as a PDF. This definitely will help you get past the ATS system. Remember to adjust the words used in your ‘Skills’ section too but don’t lie. These days, many companies with decent salaries are giving applicants take-home assignments. This applies to your cover letters as well. (I no longer write cover letters though, no one reads them).  I saved every version of my cover letter and could eventually just mix and match paragraphs according to the type of job I was applying to. Of course, you will still have to change some words to best match the position’s job posting.
The LinkedIn stalking begins. Find someone at the company you’ve applied for and invite them to connect but ALWAYS include a note.  In this note, you will give a very brief introduction and your reason for messaging. Mine usually looked something like this: Hi ___, I’m Britt and I recently applied for the ____ position. I’d love to learn more about the department, the team, and the company. Would you have 15 minutes to chat sometime this week or next? Thanks in advance, Britt.
My tip is that you find a manager on the team rather than a recruiter for the company. I find that they never accept invitations but managers usually will.
On this call, you’ll discuss exactly what you mentioned in your opening note, and remember to have prepared questions for them. If you make a good impression, most managers will be willing to forward your resume to the recruiting team.
Let me know if you all want a part 2 on how I prepare for my interviews. I’d say I have an interview success rate of about 90% in the past 2 years!

Day 20 -- Pickman
The (nsfw) details for Kinktober 2023, Day 20 are just below the cut!
Minors, please don’t interact.
Body Modification with Pickman x g/n!Sole
Ohhhhh, Pickman. What a strange, intriguing character. His dialogue makes for very fun writing, though. Definitely a killer aesthetic to go with the homicidal tendencies, lol.
Anyways, I hope you all enjoy!
Here is the link to my  Kinktober 2023 Event List so you can stay up-to-date, or re-visit these works as you please.
Included: Body Modification, knifeplay, non-explicit gore, blood, cutting, marking, masochism, painplay, scarring, all very consensual, just kinky, restraints, dirty talk? kind of? (mostly very flowery), oral sex, cum eating.
Words: 1.9k
--
“This one, I’m liking, darling. How much bigger were you thinking?”
He spoke to them softly, in that painfully honeyed tone of his– the one where you could practically hear the smile on his face, whether or not he actually wore one.
Pickman wasn’t now.
He rarely smiled in the midst of his work; no, he was concentrating. Especially when it came to the canvas of his beloved. The myriad of scars upon them was faultless, due to the level of focus he always maintained throughout their carving. Despite his unwavering attention, those certainly furrowed brows he looked upon them with, Sole knew the way that this undertaking of his, it… excited him. The unmistakable bulge forming in the front of his worn, beige dress slacks told that tale of yearning. Loudly and with urgency.
Their gaze remained at his waist, as Pickman’s knife moved in small, careful increments over their collarbone and down to the left side of their chest. Sole was restrained. Their wrists, chest and forehead all held down against the firm table beneath them– it made it less likely for them to flinch away and perhaps ruin the intricate scrawl of their partner's blade over their once-smooth flesh.
And it was more thrilling this way.
Sole’s heart pounded in their chest, they felt sweat lingering on the surface, felt a heat of their own pooling low in their belly, with each spike of pain, it made their eyes roll back and their breath come out in increasingly fevered pants.
They didn’t even need to hear Pickman’s smile, to know the way he wore one now, as he pulled the knife away to admire his work.
He delighted in their delight. Relished their love of the pain he gifts them, and the art he makes of them.
“We were made for each other, you know.” He put their thoughts to words, almost as if he could hear into their mind.
“And this… This is a reflection of that.”
Their names, penned together with the keen blade and combined in an ornate, calligraphic inscription barely legible, but to the artist himself… It was a masterpiece.
“In all my art pieces, we have never seen the like of this. None compare.”
He etched another line, and Sole’s breath came out a whimper.
“Shh, shh, my love. Nearly there. Don’t worry.”
A sweet kiss planted on their forehead, and Sole leaned into it.
“M’not.” They managed, despite the delectably overwhelming pain.
“Hmm?”
“Not worried. Take as long as you need.”
They wished they could reach out and touch him, then. Reassure him that this was undoubtedly what they wanted, but that would be counterintuitive. They didn’t want to ruin his work by moving.
Pickman pulled the knife away, grabbed the soft, thin rag off the table beside him, and wiped clean the blade, before dabbing the cloth on their skin, absorbing the excess scarlet so he could see what lay beneath.
“My, it’s… breathtaking, my dear.”
“I’m sure it is.” They said with a small grin, “You are a fine artist, my love.”
He hmm-ed happily at that, before they felt the cold metal against their hot skin again.
He made a few more carvings, the sting of which shot up their whole arm, protesting within the survival portion of their brain, urging them to shy away, to stop the wounding in its tracks, but Sole closed their eyes and ignored it. Their mind went foggy, the pain all that they could focus on, and the last thing they could focus on, all at once.
A particularly deep cut made them shudder unwittingly, releasing a moan at the same such time. Between their legs, they felt a distinct reaction, and Pickman let loose another knowing hum.
“Shall we take a break, then? Don’t want to… overwhelm you, dearest.”
“Do we have to?” They croaked, and Pickman chuckled in response, letting the flat of his blade tap down their bare body in increments, before it clattered onto the steel table just out of their peripheral vision.
“No, we don’t have to. But oh… it should be fun. I guarantee you’ll enjoy it.”
Another kiss had Sole opening their eyes, straining to look down at his shining hair as Pickman set his lips over their neck, down their collarbone, and achingly close to the open wounds on their chest.
“Would you like to stay tied?” He whispered between presses of his mouth over them.
“Let me touch you.” Sole pleaded, adrenaline still coursing through them from the stinging in their chest, from that building heat within.
“As you wish.” He kissed them square in the middle of his newest art piece, and Sole’s shoulder tensed.
He licked his reddened lips as he pulled away.
Pickman then moved out of their sights, and soon the rope over one wrist was being cut. It snapped, and the pressure released. Pickman moved to the other as Sole twisted their wrist, flexed their fingers, feeling the blood return to their hand.
He always secured them just a tinge too tight, knowing how that pain acted as an appetizer for what was to come.
Another snap of rope released the pressure over their collarbones, which had been effectively holding their chest in place, and Sole looked down to see marks there too. Just the reddened rashes and imprints of the rope, but now with their forehead being set free of its bounds against the hard table, they let their head raise up to admire those, as well as the new scar-work over their heart.
“Beautiful.” They agreed, and saw the way their partner grinned, the appreciation for them shining honestly in their stark, grey depths.
“Ah, like you.” He pulled a hand to his lips then, pressing another kiss there as he released the last of their bounds. “A masterpiece to match a masterpiece.”
A blush heated their skin, and Sole looked away shyly, like Pickman didn’t spoil them with his poetic dictation on a daily basis.
“Now, you wanted to–”
“Touch you.” Sole said easily, quick enough to interrupt as they shifted upwards and slid off the end of the table.
Dark air surrounded them both outside the ring that illuminated Pickman’s work area. Crimson brick walls looked in from every side, and without preference, Sole chose one to push their partner into.
Pickman yielded to their touch instantly, until his back rested against the bricks, and Sole had both arms wrapped firmly about his shoulders. His kisses were magnetic, as they pressed forward into him; they felt they could never pull away, not without another catalyst to force their lips away. His skin was soft, his lips no exception, and Sole– as they often did– asked themself how, in a world such as this, Pickman managed to keep himself so tidy.
His hair was slicked just a certain way, that when they combed their fingers over it, it remained in place. He smelled of aftershave and starch powder, and tasted like spearmint toothpaste.
It brought Sole back.
How they’ve changed since then, they thought, as their hands explored him, as their fingers brushed over their own marked, scarred forearms– forever changed, by the man pressed against them.
“My love,” Pickman mumbled into their mouth, before gently pushing them away. “I’m meant to console you. Remember?”
Sole looked away again, like a dog being reprimanded for going after a food scrap they know they’re not meant to have.
He tutted at them, drawing their gaze back to his.
“Here, let us switch, dearest.”
They did as he asked, moving like dancers as he grasped their hands and twirled them about until their back was resting against the cold brick. A shiver ran through them, but soon enough, Pickman became a distraction from that as well.
He ran his hands, ripe with scars of their own, up and down their form, like he was trying to smooth out wrinkles. His touch was firm, but light enough not to ruffle.
One hand smoothed right down to their center on its journey, palming over their heat, feeling their pleasure, so evident against his touch.
“Darling, you are perfection.” He kissed their lips again, savoring the sighs they released at his undulating contact over them. “To have my work displayed on you… it’s the greatest honor I can fathom.”
All his words were heady whispers against them, as his hand increased its movement, as the other drew lines with his fingers over the path of raised scars he was responsible for.
“The most perfect gallery.”
Any words they wished to speak in return paled in comparison. Pickman’s natural pomp, his archaic charm had them swooning and leaning into his every touch, his every word. The feel of his hand over them, over the most sensitive of spots, just firm enough to thread the needle between intense and overwhelming.
“I hope you can forgive my absence, here.” He said, a despondent look in his eyes, and Sole blinked as a question in their mind made their brows furrow together. “I’m needed elsewhere.”
With that and a distinct clench of Pickman's hand between their legs, his lips were descending their body. He paused only once, to press a handful of kisses over their newest linework, and then he was on his knees before them, lifting one thigh up to rest on his suit’s shoulder pad.
Sole’s hands dove down to his hair, to the back of his neck, writhing their fingers over the skin there, until they could all but feel the goosebumps their touch, their gasps of pleasure, inspired upon him. The contact only seemed to encourage the artist, as he mouthed fervently over their heat, as though this were the only sustenance that could sate him.
His noises became more carnal the further he buried himself between their legs, the more slick skin rubbing together, moans catching in his throat, breaths rattling in his chest as he opted to breathe them rather than the air.
Sole’s fingers clung to him, nails digging into his skin as the back of their head dug into the brick wall behind them. Their muscles tensed, sweat stung their open wounds, and a moan escaped their straining throat as their partner relished in their pleasure, tasting all they had to offer him, and pleading for more with every lave of his tongue, every hollow of his pronounced cheeks.
“Seems you needed this break just as I did.” Sole chuckled, and Pickman hummed out his agreement.
“More so, even.” He pulled away to answer in a flash, before his lips were firmly back upon them.
He tilted his head this way and that, dove forward and then released the pressure in rapid movements that gave Sole no time at all to recover. Their pleasure could only build as his teeth entered the equation, nipping over those sensitive places between their legs, scraping over the skin there until jolts of pain-infused bliss ran up through their veins.
Pickman gave an answering moan as their hands clenched him all the tighter, as their leg tensed from its place on his shoulder and their hips thrust their heat against his mouth with each passing second.
He carried on though, always one to see his work through to the end, Pickman ran a hand over them as his lips refused to relent, as he nearly bit into his tongue in the euphoric turmoil of their combined actions.
Then, Sole was crying out their release, bursting onto his asking tongue as he pressed further into them, crazed and wanting for all they could give.
It’s what he craved most about them. The way they gave themself over to him, his work, his craft. Let him mark them in every way possible, both physically and mentally, and let him love them in every way Pickman wished to display it.
He was right, they both decided in tandem.
They really were made for each other.

Unstuck in Time was not my first full game (that was a weird little experiment called Survival Marketing). But, I think it's the first game I wrote where I felt like a Game Designer.
I got laid off in November 2020, and began probably my calmest job search to date shortly thereafter. I had severance from my last gig, and some unemployment money due, so I was in a fortunate position. And I decided to use that time to focus on something I'd been getting more and more interested in: designing tabletop RPGs.
I invested in a copy of Affinity Publisher, started tinkering with Canva, and got stuck into the visual design of a '90s medical pamphlet. I'm really pleased with how the visuals turned out for this one, as a first effort.
My partner and I watched The Haunting of Bly Manor around this time, and the episode focusing on Mrs Groce in particular intrigued me. It's a heavy inspiration, but so are other stories of the unstuck time traveler--someone who experiences time out of order.
I'm honestly not sure that the experiment for the Print-and-Play version panned out. The goal was to create a physical artifact that someone could shuffle and have a different experience every time. I wanted randomness, so we have dice, we have paper, we have about 100 prompts. And we jump through them.
The digital version was a list of 100 prompts with instructions for rolling dice, and I honestly think that did a better job of being playable.
The design challenge was making prompts that felt timeless. I wanted someone to be able to play this in a futuristic Sci-Fi setting as easily as they could play this in a modern or even period setting. I think I did a pretty good job of grabbing everyday prompts, setting them in different periods of a human life (as indicated by the colored border on the page).
The result is a solo journaling game that sets the player on a random adventure. I think what it really highlights is how important context is for a life. Some of the prompts have you being angry about a fight that you don't remember, others were written so that you could see a family member for the first time and last time in the same session. It's a bittersweet roller-coaster, in the way life is.
Some of the reviews I've gotten suggest I at least got close to what I was aiming for.

In a new skin chapter 8
When Chloe woke to the sounds of her alarm and got out of bed she worried she'd be sore and exhausted beyond measure. Yet when she looked in the mirror for any bruising and examined her broken arm, she saw that she was totally healed. Her original scars were still there and rather than sore, she felt…refreshed.
Chloe went over to check the time, not surprised when it said 8 AM. But the date caught her off guard, she had been asleep for two days!
"Naje, Haje!" Chloe called as the snake slithered out of the ring, one head barely awake and the other yawning, which would now go on the list of things that will haunt her dreams.
"Yes, Chloe?" Naje said, looking at her through the snake-version of bleary eyes.
"Yeah, somethings wrong," Chloe responded by grabbing the clock and showing it to him, he looked at it and then back at her.
"I see it is quite early," he replied dryly.
"No, not that! The date!” Chloe responded in surprise and confusion. “I slept for two days Naje, two days!"
But soon Haje yawned and looked at her, waking up himself with a shake of his head.
"That is to be expected,” Haje calmly replied.
“You pushed yourself and you're still new to this, not to mention the wraith broke your bones. Healing was necessary and since we didn't eat before sleeping and your acclimation to the powers is still ongoing, it makes sense we would go dormant to recover,” Haje further elaborated, lecturing her with the air of a professor before a class.
“In fact, I think two days is quick for a new user,” Haje said with a modicum of respect, looking to Naje to confirm before both nodded in agreement. Meanwhile Chloe was beginning to pace around her room, worried about getting in trouble.
"What if my father hears about this and gets angry? What if Jean is worried?" Chloe asked as her pacing got faster and faster.
"There is no need to worry, when going dormant your body temperature rises,” Haje replied matter-of-factly. “Obviously, this Jean checked on you and thought you had a fever.”
"How do you know?!" Chloe replied, trying and failing to suppress her panic.
"Because we watched him check up on you. He even had a doctor brought in and it was decided you were sick due to a fever of one hundred and one,” Haje replied, flexing his hood a bit in a cocky manner. Chloe relaxed a bit, if they thought she was just sick then she didn’t have to worry about explaining anything.

Chloe let out a sigh of relief as she decided it would be best to get ready for the day. She grabbed a quick shower and was on her way to find something to wear when she noticed a peculiar sight on the table in the middle of the room.
"Uhmmmmm Naje, Haje, what are those?" Chloe asked, tightening the towel she wore before walking over to get a better look, a bit confused. It was a canvas, a brush, some paint boxes, and a big wooden box topped with two scrolls like that dog man had.
"Those are your rewards for completing the task you were assigned,” Haje said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
“As I’ve said, sometimes the gods reward those who perform their assigned tasks exemplary. By the looks of it, Anubis was greatly pleased with your work," Naje said with a bit of pride as if he were the one who had performed the task.
Haje slid past his cocky brother and began to speak as he examined the items.
"He even went so far as to send a message with it. But it appears Set did as well, so I'd be prepared to see how Set felt about being tricked," Haje said.
Chloe reached down and picked up the scroll, her breathing a bit quick from nervousness as she began to read it.
"‘Dear Serpent of Truth, well done with completing your task. I had worried that it may have been too much for you at first, but it seems that worry was for nought. You accomplished the task with creativity and mindfulness’,” the letter started, easing Chloe’s nerves.
“‘For that, I reward you with paints of the Underworld and the Skies. As well a brush that shall never fail. I know you loved art so these gifts shall bring your love to such heights that most mortals could never reach! Finally, the last gift is in the box on the table. Consider it compensation for your efforts.’"
Chloe blinked for a moment before rereading the scroll. Her mind was barely able to process that a God had praised her, but more so that he knew more about herself than she did. She proceeded to close and set the scroll down gently before looking at the other one from Set and opening it, preparing for the worst.
"‘Well done Serpent, you have out done yourself in a way I could never have foreseen. When I received the urn and saw it was empty, I had prepared to release plagues upon your lands for this trick!’” A far less friendly start compared to the previous scroll.
“‘However, I then saw what you did to the Wraith and I was truly impressed! To trap that wretched lowlife in his own body, far beyond what I had planned to do with him for his arrogant existence!’” A sudden turn in tone that Chloe genuinely didn’t expect.
“‘I can now smile every day hearing the melody of his screams. If ever I'm bored I can alway see his trapped agony, immortalized by you…so well done.’” Chloe wasn’t sure how she felt about being praised in such a way.
“‘As a reward, I prepared a gift to compliment Anubis’ gift. A canvas that will store everything ever painted on it, and a set of stencils made by Hephaestus himself! Lastly, one final item in the box alongside Anubis' gift. No one can ever accuse Set of being stingy. I look forward to seeing how cruel and how elegantly you complete your future tasks, Serpent.’” The letter finished with only four words.
“‘Do Not Disappoint Me.’"
Chloe was left shocked and more than a little nauseous at being complimented for being elegantly cruel, it reminded her too much of how she used to be. But the feeling of dread she felt when seeing he was willing to release plagues for being outsmarted by Chloe outpaced every other emotion. She closed the scroll setting it next to the other, but deep under those feelings she felt an iota of pride for being praised for eliminating such a dangerous threat, even if it hadn’t been entirely on her own. Chloe looked at the box and reached down to slowly open it, her eyes going wide as plates at the contents within.
Inside were two bracelets made entirely of gold and decorated with gems and hieroglyphs engraved into them. Chloe reached down brushing her fingers along one of the bracelets, feeling its smooth metal and gems, almost unreal to her.
"What are these exactly?" Chloe asked quietly, still awestruck by the pure opulence of the pieces of jewelry.
"They're treasure," Naje said quietly. "It took some time before the Gods realized Numinous wielders often don’t have time to support themselves as other mortals do. Can’t have your Chosen Ones starving in the streets like stray dogs," he said as slithered around to Chloe's arm.
"It’s a more subtle way of courting wielders for future tasks,” Chloe raised her brow at that in confusion and both Naje and Haje sighed.
"Gods can be as territorial as they are arrogant. Even though I am a blessing that tells gods of other pantheons you're claimed and which Court has first rights when it comes to submitting tasks to you, sometimes rival gods will try to lure you with promises of greater rewards, or even offer blessings of protection. It has been known to cause some Gods to almost come to blows," Haje explained.
"How oft-" Chloe started to ask before Naje cut her off.
"Often enough to have Zeus and Odin fighting each other. Or Wukong and Hercules about to tear up the heavens over a wager," Naje said with a bit of humor.
"But we can worry about that later. It's better for you to do something and enjoy the day since you've rested for so long," Haje said, slithering away casually, leaving Chloe in thought.
Chloe didn't like the idea that gods were so petty. After all, Gods are meant to be all powerful, right? Chloe huffed, rubbing her forehead with a touch of annoyance before walking to get changed into something for the day.
She settled on an outfit similar to what she used to wear all the time, simply because of a lack of options. Maybe she could sell one of the bracelets and get a more practical wardrobe. She didn’t bother doing more than brushing her hair and leaving it down, and completely skipped makeup altogether. She looked far plainer than she used to but could finally stand looking at herself in the mirror as she nodded with appreciation.
"Ok let's get this day started!" Chloe said, getting her phone out and shooting a text to Sabrina to see if she was free to hang out. She grabbed the bracelets and stashed them in the back of her closet. They were far too valuable to wear around, unless maybe she had to attend a gala of some kind.
She made sure to grab the paints, canvas, and stencils before making her way out the door and making her way towards the elevator shooting a smile at Jean as she did, who visibly sagged with relief at the sight of her up and about.
"I'll be going to the park! Be back later, ok?" Chloe called out to him.
"Be safe, Mademoiselle," Jean responded politely as he recovered.
Chloe entered the elevator and pressed the button for the first floor, hoping to avoid her father and get out quickly. Which thankfully wasn't hard when your father was the mayor. She was able to leave with no interference or distractions but sadly the response from Sabrina made her pause almost in disbelief.
"She's busy…" Chloe pouted as she slowly resumed walking to the park with her items in hand.
"What were you planning to do at the park with her?" Naje communicated through the bond.
"I don't know. Maybe chat, actually learn stuff about her, and be a better friend while knocking off the rust from my past life. See if I can still paint as well as I can somewhat recall?" Chloe responded looking around at the beautiful buildings and the people making her way through one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
It might seem odd coming from a girl who had been chauffeured most of her life but she loved walking more than driving. She couldn't figure out why but she knew it came from the life she had lived before shedding and she was determined to fill in all the missing pieces of that life.
After a while she finally reached the park, feeling enlived by the sounds of laughter and seeing people playing and running around having fun. Chloe looked around before heading over to a nice spot that gave her a good view of everything.
"Okay Chloe, time to see if you can still do this,” She breathed softly after setting up the canvas, her paints and stencils. She looked nervously at the canvas, taking a deep breath and beginning to sketch out random things around her. The weather, a child running around, a bird in a tree, or a roller skater going past the fountain. Soon, Chloe lost herself in drawing, starting to just draw things she could think of, focusing on small things she could remember, vague impressions of people she met as she was sketching faces that she knew but couldn't name well. The exception was Roman and his smile. As she began the next sketch she dug deep, getting the impression of something more.
—--
"So what's this book series about?" Chloe was asking, looking up from the strange books to the blurry impressions that could maybe her students.
"Well, we don't wanna spoil anything, just read these two sets and tell us which you prefer. We can go from there." The voice that came from a figure that had a southern tone thicker than Roman’s and spoke far more excited than she could ever remember Roman being.
"She's gonna pick our set, you redneck." That voice sounded female with an Asian accent, Japanese if Chloe were to guess.
"Stuff it you rice-"
"Hey, be polite or I'm not reading either sets! I agreed to try this hobby if you all were at your best, remember?" Chloe responded with a stern tone.
"Yes ma'am," the class responded as one.
"Good. Now, I'll give them a read but there's no promise I'll enjoy either of them, ok? Especially with titles like Galaxy in Flames and Sons of the Forest."
Chloe’s confusion was palpable even hearing those names.
"But I'll try. For now class is dismissed. I'll see you all at the event tomorrow, ok?"
The class all agreed and began to file out. Leaving Chloe to turn her attention to the blurry books, their covers finally coming into focus.
—--
"Hey, earth to Chloe!!!" And with that, Chloe was brought out of the memory, jumping and looking around in confusion. She raised her stencil like a dagger momentarily before quickly shoving her hands into her lap and tried not to blush with embarrassment.
"Man, you must really get into the zone when you're drawing."
Chloe looked towards the voice and found Alix waving at her with a grin. The short red head was sitting beside Chloe with her legs crossed and very close for that matter. She closed what little distance there was between them as she shifted her attention to Chloe’s canvas, "And I gotta say those drawings ain't half bad."
Chloe turned from Alix back to her canvas and saw that she had drawn a myriad of images. Most of them were Roman with different expressions but there were some teens she didn't recognize down in one corner, and finally a man with a stern gaze but a soft smile up in the top right corner. Both Roman and this man brought a strange warmth to her chest and a smile to her face.
"So is that guy an actor or someone you know? Cause you drew him a lot," Alix asked, pointing to Roman before she smirked slyly. “Does Ms Bougie Bourgeois have a crush?”
“What?!” Chloe nearly shrieked as she leapt to her feet. As fond as she felt about Roman in the memories she could recall, the idea of it being anything more felt…wrong.
“No! He’s…” Chloe struggled to come up with an answer that wasn’t an outright lie.
“Relax, Chloe, I was just messing with you,” Alix said as she sat back with a sigh. “Who’d have thought I’d find Chloe Bourgeois behaving like a normal girl?”
“Who says I’m not acting normal?” Chloe demanded with a stamp of her foot.
“Uh, everyone? You know you haven’t threatened to call your daddy on anyone in days?” Alix said as she stood up. Somehow, even though Chloe was much taller, the spunky girl seemed far more imposing as she invaded Chloe’s personal space.
“And you’re bothering me why?” Chloe asked as she tried to draw herself up even as she cringed internally for sounding like how she used to. Why was Alix making her feel so defensive?
“Because I want to know what’s with the sudden change. You tried to take on a freakin’ Akuma and not because it messed up your outfit,” Alix said, her lip curling in nearly a sneer.
“Well, I couldn’t just stand there and do nothing,” Chloe sniffed dismissively.
“You mean like you normally do? You show up acting weird one day, nearly get killed trying to help, start acting like you’re a different, better person, and then you disappear for two days. Most of us didn’t even know you were sick until Marinette spoke up saying she saw you looking horrible. So yeah Chloe, I’m asking what’s happened to you,” Alix as she crossed her arms as if she were daring Chloe to try to get her to budge from her mission.
“It’s complicated and really none of your business,” Chloe said through grit teeth, starting to regret trying to enjoy herself in public. She could have painted just fine on her patio back at the hotel.
“In case you haven’t noticed, Chloe, I’m making it my business. So do tell, what’s so complicated that it made you wanna change so bad?” Alix asked as she leaned in once more
Chloe bit her lip before sighing. Maybe the truth wouldn’t hurt, at least too much. “I just looked in the mirror and realized I kind of hate myself and who I was becoming.” Chloe said it as a joke but the truth behind the words was there and it took all her willpower to meet Alix’s eyes.
The last thing Chloe expected was Alix’s expression to soften as her challenging smirk fell into a frown.
“Sheesh, Chloe, are you ok? Like really?” Alix asked far more gently as she shifted closer incrementally. “Have you talked to anyone about this?”
Chloe blinked at the shift in Alix’s behavior, “Now who’s acting weird?”
“I’m worried about you, you dummy!” Alix snapped, her face flushing nearly to match her hair.
Chloe blinked in confusion, especially as something about the expression on Alix’s face filled her with a dizzying sense of deja vu.
“Whoa, Chloe!” Alix cried out as she lunged forward and caught Chloe as she began to sway on her feet. “Seriously, are you ok?”
Chloe gave her head a shake before looking at the way Alix was holding her, making the pair of them look like the oddest romance novel cover. It made her cheeks burn crimson and she quickly pulled away from the skater girl.
“I’m fine. I think I just need to eat something,” Chloe said as she brushed her hair from her face.
“Well in that case, I think the cavalry has arrived,” Alix said with a nod.
Chloe turned to face the direction Alix was looking and found Marinette approaching with a picnic basket in hand.
Marinette slowed as she neared the two of them and stood some ways off awkwardly.
“Hi Alix, Chloe. Nice to see you two. I’m happy to see you’re feeling better, Chloe. Care to join me for lunch?” Marinette said somewhat stiffly, forcing a smile.
Alix seemed to pick up the fact that Marinette’s attention was focused solely on Chloe and shrugged. “I’ll pass, but thanks for the offer, Marinette. I’ve been sitting around long enough.”
Before Alix left, she dropped her voice so only Chloe could hear her, “It seems like someone is Miss Popular for real, for once.”
Chloe started and looked after Alix, both mystified by the girl’s behavior and wanting her to stay so she wouldn’t have to talk to Marinette. She stopped herself from calling out to Alix at the last moment, it would be cowardly to use someone as a shield for a conversation that was going to happen sooner or later.
“Is there actually food in there?” Chloe asked as she turned back to Marinette.
“Of course, and lots of it. Tiki told me about how taxing Numinous healing can be. You need your strength after two days of sleeping,” Marinette said as she laid out a blanket and began setting out food. Despite how calmly she spoke, Chloe could sense Marinette was coiled tight like a spring.
“So Tiki knows about Naje and Haje?” Chloe asked softly as she watched Marinette set the food down. Honestly, for once she could empathize with Marinette, it felt like Naje and Haje were preparing to strike and it made every muscle in her body ache with tension. She had to force herself to settle into a cross-legged position.
“She does, and about how someone can become a Numinous wielder, especially the snakes of truth,” Marinette said as she poured a glass of tea and held it out to Chloe.
“Judges of Truth!” came a tiny duo of hisses from Chloe’s lap as Haje and Naje glared at Marinette.
“Oh put a sock in it, you two!” came a small voice from the picnic basket as the lid lifted to reveal a creature Chloe had once mistaken for a keychain decoration.
“Tiki!” Marinette whispered fiercely, glancing at the kwami out of the corner of her eye.
“Sorry, Marinette,” Tiki mumbled before sinking out of sight.
“Glad to see I’m not the only one who has trouble keeping theirs in line,” Chloe muttered, sharing a look of genuine amusement with Marinette before glancing down at Haje and Naje. “You two keep quiet. This is a conversation between humans.”
“Fine, but if she attempts anything, our poisons work just as well in any form,” Haje replied before he and Naje coiled into a tight bundle in Chloe’s lap, staying on guard.
“I’m sorry about that, Marinette,” Chloe said as she finally reached out to take the tea. “I’m guessing you have a whole speech planned out?”
“I’ve got several, each based on how hostile you might be, but I wasn’t expecting this so I’ll just try to speak plainly,” Marinette said as she continued acting as hostess and served Chloe several specialty macarons. “I think you should give up this Numinous artifact.”
Chloe paused with a macaron raised halfway to her mouth, fixing Marinette with a flat stare.
“Tiki has told me all about her encounters with the previous wielders. One of these people killed a user of the Ladybug Miraculous because she dared to save a woman’s life! I don’t know how long you’ve had this Numinous but it can’t be a coincidence that you’ve made such amazing changes recently. What if you’re told to come after me, to…kill me? Would you really undo all of this wonderful progress just to keep these powers?”
Chloe sat quietly until the end, at which point she nearly exploded. Fortunately, she had the presence of mind to keep her rage to a harsh whisper, “It is because of these powers that I’ve been able to change, Marinette. You have no idea what I’ve been through and I won’t have you talk down to me because you’re afraid we might end up on opposite sides. In case you’ve forgotten, Miraculous wearers aren’t perfect or does Hawkmoth not count for some reason?”
Marinette drew in on herself at Chloe’s word, her hands clenching her knees. Rather than continue the argument, Marinette took a deep breath and let it out slowly before looking up at Chloe.
“How did you know I was Ladybug? I’ve worked very hard to keep that secret,” Marinette said, unable to keep a hint of fear from her voice that clearly said, ‘If Chloe could find out my secret identity, then anyone could.’
Chloe nibbled her lip hesitantly. She certainly wasn’t going to tell Marinette the whole story.
“Let’s just say that after what I’ve been through, I’m not the same Chloe that you used to know,” Chloe said softly as she stared into her cup of tea. Her gaze shifted to the uneaten macaron in her hand. “And to that end, there’s one other thing I have to say to you.”
Chloe drew herself up and couldn’t help noticing that Marinette tensed in anticipation.
“I’ve apologized to Sabrina and Adrien for being a bad friend, but the person I have to apologize to most of all is you, Marinette,” Chloe said, not feeling the same heartache she had when talking to Adrien and Sabrina, but still feeling her stomach jump nervously as she spoke. “You never deserved any of the cruel or spiteful things I put you through and I’m sorry for every mean, rude, or hurtful thing I’ve ever said or done. I’m not saying this to try to convince you to trust me as a wielder of a Numinous. As I said the other night, I’d rather we stay out of each other’s way in that regard.”
Marinette stared in shock, nearly dropping her own plate of macarons before catching them from slipping off. As she recovered and straightened up again, she couldn’t help whispering almost to herself, “Are you really Chloe?”
Chloe couldn’t help smiling at the shocked expression on Marinette’s face, “Don’t ruin the moment, baker girl.”
That seemed to convince Marinette and she smiled softly before nodding and turning her focus to the meal again. They ate in relative silence for a while before Tiki whispered something to Marinette as she bent towards the basket that made the girl start.
“Uhm, Chloe, this might be a bit personal, but those scars, on your stomach, where did they come from?” Marinette asked, either nervous or feeling second hand embarrassment at remembering how little Chloe’s hero outfit covered.
‘Like she has room to talk,” Chloe thought, ‘Her Ladybug outfit is practically skintight! I should know, I used to run around in one playing pretend.’
“I’d rather not talk about it, but I’ll say it has everything to do with how I came to be Haje and Naje’s wielder,” Chloe said, reaching down to run her knuckle along the snake’s body.
Marinette nodded though she looked as if she wanted to ask more questions. Perhaps she would have but at that moment several voices called out in greeting. Alya, Nino and several other classmates were making their way over.
“This talk was…nice,” Chloe said before she downed the last of her tea, “but I should get going.”
“Chloe, wait, you don’t have to go,” Marinette said as she turned back from waving to the others.
“We might still end up enemies,” Chloe said somberly. “I’d rather not make things more awkward if necessary.”
“WHOOPS!” Another voice shouted, causing Chloe and Marinette to turn towards it. Chloe grunted as Alix bowled into her, sending them both sprawling with Alix laying atop Chloe.
“What’s the big idea?” Chloe demanded with a groan.
“Sorry, Chloe, had to avoid a stick someone left on the path,” Alix said as she pushed herself up, looming over Chloe in a way that made Chloe’s cheeks warm. “I didn’t hurt you, did I?”
“No-” Chloe started to say before Alix cut her off.
“No sense in taking any chances? I couldn’t agree more. Why don’t we both rest here for a bit and enjoy some of Marinette’s delicious snacks,” Alix said in a rush before easing herself down beside Chloe.
Chloe would have snapped at Alix but the others finally reached them and then it was a flurry of conversation, including several people commenting on Chloe’s canvas. Before Chloe knew it, she was thoroughly ensconced by the others, with Alix practically sidled up right against her.
“We both know you’re too good a skater to have crashed from a stupid stick,” Chloe whispered so only Alix could hear.
“Does that mean you watch me skate that often?” Alix shot back without hesitation, glancing at Chloe with a smirk that left Chloe speechless for the rest of the picnic.

Kinktober 2022 - Day Two
Tumblr media
Pairing: Javi Gutierrez x f!Reader
Rating: Explicit (If that was not entirely clear)
Series Summary: You’re a fanfiction writer turned novelist, which was great since it was the path you wanted your writing to take you down in life. What you never thought would happen was meeting the Javier Gutierrez, who you actively write smutty fanfiction about from his film with Nic Cage, and you especially didn’t expect him to have a crush on you.
Fast forward several months of dating, with a good chunk of your relationship being distance due to his constant traveling and having to go home to Mallorca, when he surprises you with a prompt list and a vacation planned around exploring it.
You haven’t even worked up the nerve to tell him about what you write and post to Tumblr about him as a character yet.
Notes: Going to be using prompts from @ the-purity-pen for my meta as hell indulgence! There are feelings in this (I have no idea how they got there) and I may end up removing some possible chapters here and there depending on how I’m feeling, I apologize in advance if that happens because my brain is super mean sometimes.
Possible Warnings: PiV, cum as lube, dirty talk, my personal opinion about a certain book series
Floor Sex (2.2k)
Breakfast was ridiculously delicious, and you also got to meet the chef that was on call whenever anyone was staying at the home; Lorna was a lovely woman, her deep umber skin and warm brown eyes were soft and she was so welcoming, treating both you and Javi like her children. The older woman had been delighted when you told her how good everything was, earning you a hug and her telling Javi that she approved of you, and watching your boyfriend preen was cute until he began to shower you with praise.
It wasn’t that you hated compliments but it felt awkward sometimes, especially when the imposter syndrome kicked in.
After managing to get Javi to stop with the high praise, with Lorna’s set time for dinner already programmed as an alarm on your phones, Javi had your things in hand to go sailing together. A breezy sun dress was worn over your swimsuit, your canvas tote had a pair of water shoes tucked in the bottom on the chance you decided to take a tip in the water, and your instant shot polaroid camera with some spare packs of film were all tucked under a spare oversized hoodie for added protection.
Sometimes the sun was so bright that the pictures looked overexposed even when you put them somewhere dark or face down, or the clouds were just dense enough that things looked darker, but the whimsy of the instant shot camera and the fact that some of the resulting photos looked aged but in a good way… it was worth not being able to take a good picture every time.
Javi had refused to let you see or know anything about the contents of the picnic basket he had taken from the kitchen, you knew he certainly hadn’t made anything since he’d spent the rest of the day before and the morning with you on a much more personal tour of the house.
“I’m surprised you didn’t get a permit to build a private dock.” Your comment was meant to be light-hearted, a bit of a jest, since you knew just how much he loved to sail when he was in Mallorca. Just taking his boat out for hours at a time to be on the water, to see the open sky and clear water and look at all the sea-life that would come to investigate when he cut the engines to drift aimlessly.
Javi glanced at you after the pair of you settled in his car, the sunshine and warm air making you feel revitalized in a good way, and he captured your left hand in his right to press a kiss to the back of your hand.
“I had thought about it but the dock that I use is both secure and well maintained, I would not contribute to putting more people out of work for my own selfish reasons given the number of people installing private docks of their own.” You couldn’t help but lean over to kiss his cheek at the bubble of emotions caught in your throat with his explanation, the reminder of just how aware Javi was about rampant poverty in the world was one you would never really get over.
As the pair of you pulled into the gated parking lot, right into the designated spot for Javi, you noticed that the workers were nudging one another pointing and part of you wondered how often -if ever- Javi brought someone that wasn’t related to him here. One of the men waved cheerfully and said something but your eyes were on the boat, this wasn’t just a simple speedboat like you had thought.
Why you didn’t think your rich boyfriend would have a yacht, even one as small as this, was honestly insane. Javi appreciated the fine things in life, shamelessly, so thinking his “boat” would just be a speedboat was a major oversight on your part. He helped you board and after a quick chat with one of the workers they had the secure steel cables removed from the hull and the go ahead to begin sailing was given.
The ship was luxurious and just from a quick glance at the interior you were reminded how different this was to what you came from, your tiny little apartment was smaller than this yacht.
“There are two different places to pilot from, indoors and outdoors, I would like to pilot from the top level before the sun is too high if that is okay with you?” Javi’s request was an easy grant, even though you both did detour to bring the picnic basket and your bag inside, the polaroid draped around your neck with the spare film tucked in the small case you had attached to the strap. There was a lounging seat and a rectangle table with a box bench seat around the entire thing, two chairs where the wheel was and you slipped into your seat as Javi waited for you to settle in.
What you could see from the bow of the yacht was a small two-person seat in front of the inner cabin where the second steering wheel had to be, along with two padded mats build into the yacht for sun bathing. Javi’s soft chuckle as you took in the opulence of the ship made your face warm but he captured your chin and kissed you chastely even as he activated the pulley to raise anchor, the engines begin to purr to life, and it was impossible not to watch him work through the process of maneuvering the ship out into the open water.
He preened under your attention but didn’t allow it to distract him from the process, opening up the engines fully once the ship cleared the shallowest waters, and you snapped a picture of him before you could think twice. It was a bit of a rush to get the film into the dark envelope you had to try and prevent the distortion from overexposure to light. There was no point trying to hold a conversation over the wind and the engines, instead you just snapped pictures of anything and everything that captured your fancy.
It wasn’t until the sun had come up and the pair of you had already applied sunscreen, twice, that Javi suggested dropping anchor and taking a break to eat. Lorna had packed all of your favorite tapas and small plate dishes, the fact that there was an actual oven was something you couldn’t help but needle Javi about.
“Of course there’s an oven, and a full fridge, because how ever would some rich socialite survive if they had to microwave their food? Or, the horror, eat something that was in a cooler!” Javi laughed along with you at your dramatics, a hand on your forehead making a swooning gesture at ‘the horror’ and his tongue was stuck between his teeth to stop him from laughing too hard. Javi showed off the rest of the yacht after you ate, the fact that there were two bedrooms with a king size mattress each wasn’t shocking at this point.
There was a kitchen, a dining table, another bench seat and small table beside the interior steering wheel, a bathroom with a tub and shower… so the two bedrooms was the least surprising thing at this point.
“Have you ever read a story about something like this? A rich man takes his lovely girlfriend out on his yacht and does naughty things to her?” Javi was right behind you as the two of you stood at the base of the short staircase leading to the master bedroom, it was not only the larger room but had an actual television seeing as the smaller room was at the bow of the yacht with the stairway into it placed between the interior steering wheel and the interior bench.
You’d managed to avoid discussing your reading -and writing- habits since your initial foot-in-mouth moment when this trip was first planned, though Javi had taken a greater interest in trying to peek over your shoulders when he caught you scrolling through your phone, but having him bring it up now made you feel cornered.
It wasn’t like you had a whole vacation home to get lost in and escape to.
Damn him.
“I think there was something about that in Fifty Shades of Grey.”
He snorted gently as he played with the hem of your skirt, both of you knowing damn well that you had only ever picked those books up once and that was to write a scathing review of the ‘poorly disguised abusive relationship with a false representation of a proper BDSM relationship’ that you’d posted for the book release magazine you’d been writing for at the time.
Javi turned you in his arms and captured you in a kiss, making you practically melt against him, and when he made you walk into the room just so he could kick the door closed you half expected him to push you onto the bed. Instead, he turned you and pressed you into the wall, big hands cupping the back of your legs and pulling so you were depending on his body to stay up as you wrapped your arms around his neck.
“Javi-“
“As much as I would love to see you come undone on the top deck, on the lounger and under the sun, I do not want anyone else even having the chance to see you as I do. To see your beauty when you come, to hear the way you sound when I fuck you.” His voice was low and hoarse as Javi began to roll his hips against yours, grinding against you, and his swim shorts provided just enough friction against your skirt and your own swim suit to heighten the feeling of his hard cock rocking against your covered slit.
Your hands tugged at the dress, pulling the skirt up and out from between you both, and Javi groaned against your neck before he was sliding one of his hands back and his fingers under the fabric of your swim suit.
“Fuck- I never thought you were the possessive type.” The attempt at a tease was cut off into a sharp gasp when he bit down on your neck, you’d never thought much about how often he would nip and bite at your skin when you did get to spend time with him but it was beginning to make more sense now that you had him all to yourself without him having to leave in a week or two.
Javi set your legs down and you half expected him to get you on the bed until he simply pulled your sun dress off, the suit quickly going with it as he dropped to his knees, and your boyfriend dragged you down to the floor after shedding his linen button up for you to lay on.
“I admit I try not to be, Solecita, but there some things I will never share and you are one of them.”
His husky declaration made you shiver with want, reaching for him, and Javi began mouthing at your collar bones before dragging the tip of his nose across your skin as he braced himself over you with one arm and slid his other hand down to run his fingers through your folds. The realization of how truly possessive he was, that any visible marks you might find were all very intentional, had made you so wet; Javi let out a low moan at the feeling.
“Does that turn you on, Solecita, to know that I want to keep you to myself? To know that I want everyone to know you’re mine only?”
“Yes-!”
He’d shoved his shorts down just enough to free his cock and when you’d tried to answer he’d entered you in one stroke, the stretch burned so good though even with such little prep; he circled your nipple with his nose before suckling at the stiff peak of it, hitching one of your legs up for a deeper angle, and his pace picked up immediately at the wet sound when he fucked into you.
Every stroke had your limbs tightening, toes curling more and more, until you were crying out his name in a broken scream as he fucked you through your first orgasm; but he didn’t stop, his pace dizzying and it was almost too much. His skin was flushed and his brows were furrowed with concentration, your hands reaching up to cup his face, and his kiss was messy and intense.
“Mark me, Javi, come on my body.”
“You- shit, Solecita, you are sure?”
“Yes Javi, let me wear your come.”
He groaned and you felt his hips stutter before he pulled out, jerking himself over you for one and then two strokes before you felt the warm liquid land across your torso and belly. You clenched at the absence of him, you’d been getting closer to a second orgasm, so you ran your fingers through the mess on your skin and used it like lube to circle your clit. Javi watched you make yourself come using his seed to do so, you wondered what was going on in that male lizard brain of his but he was too busy occupying his mouth with yours so you didn’t get to ask.

Thank you for answering my ask.....if you don't mind me asking (again), who are your favorite romantic relationship's couples in books/ manga/ anime/movies/tv series (canon or non-canon)? Sorry if you've answered this question before......Thanks....
Hi @dnana-2809-blog ! Thank you very much for asking me that ! 😳❤
I'm sorry I took such a long time to answer. Lots of things happened but I'm always happy to read your questions so feel free to ask anything you want 🥰❤
Well, I absolutely enjoy romance and I must admit my favourite characters are related to that topic X') So forgive me if my answer isn't very original from the previous one.
[⚠️ SPOILERS ALERT ⚠️]
Fav ships
-> CANON : Ophelie and Thorn (The Mirror Visitor)
I love how their relationship evolved, how they learned to understand each other, respect and eventually love each other. I appreciate slow-burns with tension and very dramatic scenes and I must say they nailed it haha
I'd say they're a powerful couple 😤💖
-> CANON : Tohru and Kyo / Arisa and Kureno (Fruits Basket)
There are a lot of romance and couples in Furuba and all of them are interesting and beautiful. Tohru and Kyo is the main ship and their story is very endearing and memorable. I also love Arisa and Kureno's. It's not the most developed love story because they fell in love at first sight and couldn't see each other much due to the head of the Soma family's restrictions, but it moved me to see how much they loved each other. Their romance is really soft and kind yet a bit sad at moments.
-> NON-CANON : Kotetsu and Barnaby, obviously X') (Tiger and Bunny)
Well, I nearly cried when I wrote non-canon because...I tried my best to view them as friends so I could understand those who don't ship them but nah, they're clearly in love, your honor. The end of S1, the dramatic break-up in the Rising and their struggle to go on a date in S2 plus Barnaby being very caring with Kotetsu's daughter...
I love silly dudes that argue like old couples but who care a lot and love each other 😌❤
-> NON-CANON : Polnareff and Avdol / Joseph and Caesar (Jojo's Bizarre Adventure)
Like the previous ship, all of them are bromances with the same type of dynamic. My comfort ship is Polnareff and Avdol, I guess it helped me a lot to draw them when I felt really down and I still dearly love them today.
I do love Joseph and Caesar too and how Caesar had positively impacted Joseph's attitude toward others. Wish we could have seen more of these two ;w;
-> CANON : Millian and Jay (Unmatched!)
Well...it's a webcomic on WEBTOON CANVAS created by my sis but seriously, I wouldn't write it here if I didn't like the ship as much as the other ones I've listed. Unfortunately, she's writing it in French and there are only 5 episodes available in English. But if you're curious about it, please, check it and let me know what you think about it or if you want the next chapters, I'll encourage her to translate and publish them 💖
Anyways, I love this ship because... it's a slow-burn with two (at first glance) mismatched characters. They've got a long way full of struggles and misunderstandings before starting loving each other. A cute looking little gentleman with a stupid and impulsive ladies' man, a interesting duo, right ? 😎❤ I personally can't wait to read the next chapter 😭
And...that's all !! I hope my answer wasn't too boring for you to read ! Thanks again for your question, I wish you a wonderful day 🥰💖💖

April Roundup/ WIP Whenever
Tumblr media
What was on the Task List for March:
❌ Write/ Rewrite/ Edit more of The Ruby Falls ✅ Post WIP Intro for Astyria’s Star ✅ Post worldbuilding fics for Astyria’s Star to Tumblr and RoyalRd ✅ Post WIP Intro for Igazinyoka
What have I been doing?
Well, I got sick on 6 April for two weeks, so while a lot looks like it's been done, it's all been crammed into the first and last week of the month...
➼ I wrote 'official' WIP intros for Astyria’s Star & Igazinyoka; and an 'unofficial' intro for What Alexis Did Next, which is queued for next month. (I guess the difference between types is how many graphics are in use?)
➼ I managed to post the short stories for Astyria’s Star to Tumblr, but not yet to Royal Road.
➼ I completed a craptonne of tag & answer games that have been stacking up since mid-last year. They're all queued up as I didn't want to swamp people with tags.
➼ I somehow convinced my broken brain to come out with two short Starbound fics (linked below, under ICYMI); I've also been building a bunch of stuff for the Spring Prompt list in Starbound (building is easier than writing when one is sick).
➼ A lot of the character development tag & answer games I've done have been focused on improving the Blades for The Ruby Falls. I'm stuck on rewriting it, so I thought developing these characters would help (because all Bethesda gave us was cardboard cutouts). Ideally I want them all to have a bit of blurb outlining their background, why they became a Blade, and any personality quirks. I'm also working in Heroforge and Canva to create reference images. That is going okay - I'm having plenty of ideas, but not much in the way of formal output.
What’s next?
Write/ Rewrite/ Edit more of The Ruby Falls (?)
Fill out the Blades better, as mentioned above
Post worldbuilding fics for Astyria’s Star to RoyalRd
Continue posting applicable drafts from @Druidx into @Dru-Reads-Writblr; answering old asks & tag games
Check masterposts are up to date
Start brainstorming fic ideas for TES Fest 22
Maybe more WIP intros, for things that are semi-abandoned?

Health Info
We seem to have made it through the COVID pandemic and Miami has lifted all restrictions about vaccines and masking. That said, please be aware that everyone has different health concerns. If you get sick (with a cold, flu, etc), it might be a good idea to wear a mask in class- as a courtesy to others. If you have your own concerns about getting sick, please feel free to wear a mask while in class. We’re going to be in a classroom with no windows (I know, it’s not my choice either!), so it’s not clear how good the ventilation will be. I plan to wear a mask at least part of the time we’re in class. If you have questions or concerns, please let me know. I want everyone to feel safe and comfortable in class.
Required Reading
Smith, K. (2013) Environmental Hazards: Assessing Risk and Reducing Disaster, 6th Edition, Routledge, 504 pp. ISBN: 0415681065 (If you’re buying, get the paperback and/or used- it’s much cheaper!)
Additional weekly readings posted on Canvas.
Recommended Reading
Physical Geography Background. If you have not taken GEO 121/122 (or similar course), you may want to do some background reading on the physical settings that lead to particular hazards and disasters.  This website http://physicalgeography.net is a good source, but please ask for recommendations if you would like a book instead.
GEO 333 tumblr. In the past, I have posted a variety of web pages and stories on tumblr- you can read them here http://maryhenrygeo.tumblr.com/tagged/GEO333
Catalog Description
Exploration of the underlying causes, potential impacts, and mitigation measures of natural hazards including wildfire, severe weather events, and geologic hazards. Particular attention is paid to impacts on humans.
Course Overview
In this course, we will examine a range of natural hazards and disasters, such as hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, fires, and tsunami. Each type of natural hazard will be approached from multiple perspectives. We will consider issues such as:
Where does this particular hazard tend to occur?
How can this be dangerous for humans?
How does perception affect hazard planning?
How have humans dealt with these hazards in the past?
What do humans do to reduce the impacts of these events?
Are there additional ways to mitigate natural hazards?
Course Format
The course meets twice a week, and each meeting will consist of various activities: lecture, discussion, in-class activities, group work, and watching videos. You should come prepared each week to discuss any assigned readings and recent hazard and disaster events.  Reading assignments listed on the schedule should be completed BEFORE class the week they are assigned.  We will spend some time each day discussing the readings, so you should bring your copies (or your laptop/tablet) with you, as well.
Grading Policy
Your grade will be calculated based on the following:
Midterm Exam: Online due 10/27 11:59pm (15%)
Final Exam: Online due 12/13 11:59pm (15%)
Individual Project (25%)
Group Work & Homework (30%)
Participation (15%)
Exams (30%)
Exams will cover material from lecture, reading, videos, class activities, and homework. They will consist of short answer and essay questions.  The midterm covers weather-related disasters, while the final exam is mostly non-cumulative and will cover topics from the end of the semester: climate change, seismic hazards. Both exams will be online and open for several days (see due dates above). I will post a study guide for each exam ahead of time.
Individual Blog Project (25%)
You will receive additional details describing this assignment during the first few weeks of the semester. The work will include library research on the impacts of natural hazards and disasters.  You can start thinking about ideas for your project today. Some examples of past topics include:
Fire management in the Pacific Northwest
Hazard mitigation and ecology
Disaster preparedness in Cuba
Insurance and hazards
Use of remote sensing to monitor floods
Hazard perception in the New Madrid seismic zone
Hazard planning in Hawaii
Assignments (30%)
Hazards & Disasters Discussion
An important part of the course is keeping tabs on recent hazard events and monitoring the news (you can even do this via social media) for current hazards.  Throughout the semester, we will have regular discussions about recent and ongoing natural disaster events. You should try to keep up to date with these events. Just spend a few minutes each day checking Google News or Twitter or other sources as a starting place.  Be prepared each week to discuss at least one of these events- some weeks there will be a short assignment to go along with this. I will have discussion boards set up each week that tie into this.
Homework
I will assign several homework assignments over the semester. Some will be web-based, others required for future in-class activities. Due dates for each homework will be announced when the work is assigned.  Most of these will include brief outside readings.  Please keep up with these assignments- it will greatly enhance our time together in class if you do.  These assignments will all serve to reinforce course concepts and understanding.  My usual policy is not to accept late work, but if you have an emergency and want to submit work late, please let me know.
In Class Group Work
You will each be assigned to a group for the semester to monitor natural hazards and disasters in a different region of the world.  This will include in-class work and other short assignments over the semester.  Please bring a laptop or tablet to class if you can so that you can collaborate with your group and look up additional information during class time.
Participation (15%)
Since we will have group activities and discussion, it is crucial that you participate in class. You must also be prepared for discussion and class activities by reading your textbook, keeping current with disaster news, and all homework assignments.  We will watch videos in this class, but that does not mean those times are time to tune out.  The videos I have selected contain useful information that is difficult to obtain through reading and lecture alone- treat each video the same way you would a reading assignment, by taking notes on key points and making connections to class.
Ground Rules
I encourage discussion during class and it is essential that everyone feels that they can express their opinion.  You should feel free to ask questions during lecture for the sake of clarification or to share a relevant experience or comment.
I will not tolerate any instances of academic dishonesty including cheating and plagiarism.  Please do your own work and don’t take shortcuts. This applies to use of AI as well- everything you submit for class should be your own work (see last page for more information).
I reliably check email Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.  If you email outside of those times you might not get an immediate response, so please plan accordingly.
If you feel there is an error in one of your grades, you must report the error within 1 week of posting.  No changes will be made after that (under normal circumstances).  For assignments due near the end of the semester this deadline will be shorter by necessity (since I have to submit grades).  In other words- review graded assignments in a timely manner.
Words of Advice
As this is an upper-level course, I have high expectations from you in terms of work, participation, and conduct. The success of our time together depends on YOU, so please make the effort to attend and participate in class, do the reading, and keep up with assignments. It is critical to keep up with the reading so that you can make contributions to class each week.  I am hopeful that we will all (myself included) learn a lot this semester.  *NOTE: If you have a laptop or tablet that you can bring to class, please do.  It will be useful for looking up information or checking on recent disasters during most classes.
Semester Plan
There is a tentative schedule online here https://bit.ly/geo333f23, showing reading and lecture topics for the semester.  I plan to stick close to the schedule, but occasionally we may have to make adjustments.  I will notify you if any significant changes need to be made.

Tips On How To Spot A Fake Louis Vuitton Bag
Today, we’ll be talking all about how to inform in case you have a real Louis Vuitton bag and a number of the key methods you possibly can spot a faux whereas purchasing. Due to their luxury status, high price ticket, and superstar endorsers, everyone seems to wish to get their arms on certainly one of these iconic kinds. Unfortunately, this has led to a massive influx of knockoff reproductions, or dupes as they’re often referred as. In 2016, Louis Vuitton revamped their packaging. But the Favorite has a slightly taller form, thus, allowing it to accommodate extra issues in its interiors. The Favorite, a flap bag, contains a magnetic closure as well as an extra inside pocket for extra space for storing. wikipedia handbags The Favorite’s gold chain strap and leather-based shoulder strap are additionally slightly shorter so it’s a fantastic alternative for petite ladies. Get the Favorite clutch in Damier Ebene canvas for a extra understated look, though its female form will nonetheless appeal to the proper of consideration. I simply ordered my second bag from them and I'm so pleased! I know lots of people are hesitant to buy as a result of having to western Union the money but like I mentioned I've carried out it twice and had no points. Fake Louis Vuitton handbags will likely not have a high-quality interior, since it’s not as necessary to passing the bag off as the real factor. https://phoenet.tw/blog/post/get-the-best-louis-vuitton-replica-bags Be on the lookout for cheap brown suede or even plastic. Louis Vuitton additionally lists the retailers where their luggage may be bought. The model also limits on-line resellers, so watch out of buying bags over the web. When you mix this with the reality that we ship our merchandise quicker, you've really discovered your go-to provider for LV replicas. At the identical time, we've also identified in the true vs faux LV pockets image above how the fake wallet’s letter “R” just isn't centred in the midst of the circle. With this being said for the interior print of the coin purse, let’s move on to the following step of the guide on the way to spot fake LV Pochette baggage. Also, if the bag reeks of chemical substances, you might want to reconsider your purchase. In some cases, the date codes are stamped into the liner. Low-quality Louis Vuitton counterfeits may even have the trim peeling off over a short amount of time. For emblem embellishments, check that they are symmetrical and superbly crafted. The Maison brand normally writes “Louis Vuitton Paris” in two traces. Notice any variation on the brand’s font or sample that doesn’t look fairly proper. Zippers are another detail that may often be overlooked in terms of the creation and purchase of counterfeit baggage. Another important side is the colour of the thread. The real deal will almost all the time have mustard yellow or brown stitching, as opposed to a bright yellow or other colour. One factor that you can check for, nevertheless, is if all the logos reduce off on the identical level. That can be a bummer as a end result of these luggage should be shown around to everyone. With replica bags, you can always flaunt your costly designer style to everybody who can see, making them assume that you are an empowered girl with an immaculate taste for trend. Since they’re also cheaper in comparability with luxury originals, you can at all times buy a new one whenever your bag gets worn out due to make use of. If you could have a bag that retails for $1,000 and is being bought to you at $100, there is a lot purpose to be wary. Research the original retail worth online before contemplating a purchase. You can easily tell a fake Louis Vuitton bag from an unique one from the shade of the trim. The authentic ones will run nearer to burgundy whereas counterfeits will normally be a brighter shade of purple. It can also be essential to notice the inserting and consistency of the monogram sample. Typically Louis Vuitton bags come in several patterns and sizes. Thus, if the retailer just isn't keen to assure you of the purse's quality, don't buy. Instead, find another one who can offer you the reassurance you want. Bags made earlier than the early 1980’s didn’t have a date code, but virtually each bag you’ll find in circulation today should have this code printed someplace on the bag. Even on an excellent replica of a Louis Vuitton bag, the hardware can usually be an excellent giveaway as to what’s faux and what’s genuine. The LV monogram pattern will never be crooked or reduce off at a seam in the center of the bag. The basic LV emblem sample consists of the monogram and three distinctive quatrefoil designs. This persistently repeats in the same order throughout the bag.

In case you have ever drooled over the stunning and beautiful Hermes replica handbags supplied in virtually any socket, you'd actually like to have one. Look for peeling, uneven shaped phrases on the knockoff.Look in your date stamp. This is indicated by somewhat letter in a sq. embossed into the leather, sometimes on the strap or opening a half of the well. The letter stands for the precise yr that the bag was made. Be careful, however; great counterfeiters may also embody a fake date stamp.Check the hardware on the pocket. The persona is accompanied by a novel and stylish romance, which is amazing. Only 3-5 colours are launched in a single season. The complete world is seriously out of inventory, as a end result of the waiting listing is getting longer. London’s CELINE counters can get no extra than 30 per week from Paris. So principally, even if 1-2 months is lastly your turn, the colour you want is lengthy gone. That’s the means it was shown at London Fashion Week for spring/summer 2012, and it really gave the bag far larger presence and magnificence than if it had been worn with denims and a T-shirt or even a glossy costume. There’s a real eye-popping quality about the safari-inspired color palette, which makes this a beautiful, earthy alternative for spring. In the past, I went loopy when folks talked about replica bags, so I had never had one before hearing individuals discuss about the replica of the Hermes scene. Replica Hermes Steven Handbags luxurious luxury man bag set, the environment is easy and one, pumping with opening and shutting, convenient and sensible, Bao Shen space could be very giant, cheap design. I acquired this bag and was really impressed with the standard. The bag is of great dimension and weight, but not heavy when filled up. I love the compartments and the lining is of nice material. I get compliments whenever I carry this and stares from different girls. I would positively purchase extra of this brand on qualitybestbags.com. They are so realistic we even send rain covers and dust covers to you at no extra cost, so you presumably can shield your luggage when not using them. We understand how an enormous fan Lindsay Lohan is of designer purses. Her typical monochrome uniform of a slouchy white tee, black leggings and knee-high boots looks nice on her so much that she’s always seen on that outfit. I was somewhat skeptic to order a reproduction handbag and wallet, however I will let you know That I am SO GLAD I did. I compared my buy with a non replica Louis Vuitton Purse and wallet and could not discover any noticeable differences. I will defiantly order extra product for myself and for items. Authentic Louis Vuitton handbags have a slightly slanted LV brand, positioned in a repeating sample over the whole bag. The canvases of authentic Louis Vuitton luggage may even be created from a selected kind of material available from one manufacturer in France. Actually fairly like the merchandise on replica store. I've bought a Grefea backpack and it is really beautiful. Although the worth is a bit more costly, total it feels price shopping for, and the usability and look are good. Because there are metallic fittings, the load of the bag won't be very gentle. But the shoulder strap design can make the bag not very drained after a day. The large area of the bag is layered inside, which may be very sensible. It is a bag that many women dream of getting. It is an iconic and simply recognizable mannequin that appears divine and expresses the posh and superior type. Exactly because of this, if it's not possible to afford the unique, you'll absolutely be tempted by the potential of buying a Hermes copy. The reply I just reviewed is first rate and, frankly, it could occur as the original in any state of affairs. If you comply with the above pointers, I am certain that you could additionally buy an impressive and good quality Hermes replica bag.
