When you think about it, Mamoru is kinda GOATed? In the manga, he got psychometry, healing, prophetic dreams, ability to see any location on earth if he touches the ground, energy blasts... Sir?? 😳🕶🤏

It's always funny when you talk to people who only ever saw the 90s anime and tell them about how powerful Mamoru is in the manga, lol. In the manga he's basically a Senshi himself with all the awesome powers he has (making his Naoko's statement that he's the de-facto Sailor Earth make total sense) whereas in the 90s anime he just.... throws roses and makes corny speeches, lol.

Since Mamoru is the only one whose planet has to house billions of people its amazing he even has the strength to be Tuxedo Mask. Not only did he objectively have the worst childhood of the Sailor Soldiers second only to Sailor Saturn, as the only member whose planet is repeatedly destroyed by its inhabitants its no wonder he's perceived as weak compared to the others.

Every time big oil turns on their drills he feels a pain in his ribs. Oil spill in the ocean? Bronchitis. A forest gets demolished? Migrane. The man is chronically ill. He canonically has depression, had amnesia for most of his life after being in a car crash that killed both of his parents, and we don't even know who raised him.

He really should've been their guy in the chair. But no, the fucking space cats had that job.

He's Sailor Earth and we're killing him.
