2. When was the last time you cried? Not sure, probably about 3 weeks ago talking to my sister about a family member who isn’t well.

3. Do you have kids? Yes 🥰🥰

4. Do you use sarcasm a lot? Occasionally with annoying people (mostly just online if I see an extremely rude eejit)

5. What sports do you play/have you played? I have played basketball, tennis (horrifically badly), table tennis. I used to go horse riding for years but stopped when I went to university

6. What’s the first thing you notice about other people? Their smile, and how they make me feel (comfortable, relaxed, excited, nervous etc)

7. Scary movies or happy endings? If by scary movies you mean horror - I hate horror films except for Blair Witch Project, and happy endings win nearly always!

8. Any special talents? I’m ok at art, but honestly nothing extraordinary

9. Where were you born? Abroad 😉

10. What are your hobbies? HP (obvs), (trying to) writing, hiking, reading, going to cinema and theatre. I agree with you that buying books is also an expensive but excellent hobby. Recently also gardening (scary sign of my age!!)

11. Do you have any pets? Had dog but he died :(

12. All-time fave piece of media? I don’t have one. I have lots of books and films and plays and music and art I love

13. Fave subject in school? History, English and biology

14. Dream job? Current but less busy. Or ideally also/or a full time writer

15. Eye colour? Eh, grey/blue/green - I never know WTF to put in my passport! They seem to change with light, it’s probably actually greyish blue with bilateral inner heterochromia (hazel ring in centre) like a less nice/exciting/clear version of this:

Okay but speaking of the "parents" generation - aren't Walburga, Lyall Lupin and Tom Riddle all around the same years at Hogwarts? Walburga and Tom were only one year apart if I'm not mistaken, both in Slytherin, and Lyall was only a few years older than them - and considering that he was a ranveclaw and a pure-blood, I can imagine he was pretty well-respected before he married a muggle. Do you think they knew each other? Do you have any hcs on that?

I definitely think they all knew each other. Re: Walburga and Orion being in Tom's house, I have loads of thoughts.

From canon, we know that at school, Tom sets up a form of proto-death eaters called the 'Knights of Walpurgis.' But we don't hear that any Black family members are involved in this gang (Alphard, Cygnus, and Lucretia would have also been at Hogwarts at the same time). So Sirius is correct when he says that his parents weren't Deatheaters, nor were they ever directly Voldemort followers (although they thought he had the right idea). Especially as they were positioned to get involved in Tom's activity early. Which adds to my theory that Regulus joined of his own volition.

I think the Black siblings and cousins kept to themselves, which laid the foundation for Walburga and Orions' marriage. I think they were each others' choice and them actually loving each other (albeit in a repressed, dysfunctional way) is interesting to explore imo.

This is super random, but we started a writing assignment in my creative writing class where we are writing a story in the same style as Daisy Jones and the Six (interview style) and every time I work on it I immediately think of Lily in the Sky with Diamonds and your writing instead lol. LITSWD was just so good its all I can think about, your writing always enraptures me so I'm not that surprised.

I have obviously never had a conversation with you but I always feel like you and my creative writing teacher would get along so well and the thought just makes me so happy idek why.

6. What's something you have in common with this character?

Well… I met my future husband when I was still a teenager and initially thought he was a snobby, vain git (wearing his silly designer clothes like an idiot, strutting around volunteering to be the model for our surface anatomy tutorials classes 🤦‍♀️😏 etc) albeit a good looking one. I was not smitten at all. Nope. And there was no flirting disguised as banter. Never.

AnYwAy… fast forward a year - realised that all the above was bravado (boys…), he wasn’t a vain git, he was actually very decent and we were friends. Just friends. Ahem.

Friends who sit beside each other to study in the library.

Friends who were a bit competitive academically (except after he ‘tutored’ me in physics I ended up doing better than him in the exams 🤣🤣🤣 and he wasn’t impressed Lolol)

Friends who cycle home together and who occasionally get a cross-bar home on said bike…

friends whose friends eyeroll like mad at us both and actually ran off and left us alone in a friend’s house hoping we’d “hurry up and bloody well snog, you idiots”… it didn’t work that time but…

maize - share the weirdest encounter you’ve had with a stranger on the street.

I live in London, and I have so many- ranging from scary weird to funny weird.

Some of the scary weird have been creeps or people who were clearly unwell, so I'll stick to the light-hearted ones :)

I had a club promoter give me a piggyback ride to my uber because my feet were hurting - literally told me to call him a horse and tell him to 'giddy up' . Once on the night-tube, someone dressed in full Roman Armour (it was metal not plastic and nowhere near Halloween) invited me to sing 'I wanna dance with somebody.' He was playing it out of his phone and so a group of us started singing. That was very odd for London.
