Dialogue and scenes would get cut down significantly (to be expected when you're going from the focus character of an rp blog to a side character in the source work). Also, let's be real: if Hachi and her stand were canonically in Diamond is Unbreakable, Driver 8's abilities would get a way smarter explanation-via-character-dialogue from a character watching it work. Araki is far more comfortable using specific science/terminology as a basis to explain why and how a particular stand works. Tragically I am not science-smart and the best I can do is say "uhhhh Take A Break tickets are debuffs that make you move slower and with less force and Reach Your Destination tickets make you move a little faster and with more force". Araki is built different for having characters explain the principles of physics or whatever involved in a stand's ability, but I'm simply not that kind of girl.

I'd think her characterization mainly gets explored via a series of vaguely meme-able panels of her making nervous or shocked faces in reaction to things, alongside exposition of her people-pleasing and feelings of inferiority/envy via Heaven's Door analysis, but the rest is left to be filled in by fandom interpretation. If she started off as more of an antagonist there would probably be more to work with, alas. But maybe there are a handful of people who like to theorize on what would happen in certain arcs if Hachi/Driver 8 were present instead of just mentioned. I just think it would be funny if people did powerscaling threads on Hachi vs X Character. Could Driver 8 beat Highway Star? Let's discuss (a dozen qrts going "wait, WHO💀💀")

I think she'd be one of many characters who doesn't get a canon birthday during the part's run, so there's some disagreement in the fandom of when to celebrate (people favour August as it's the 8th month, then years later Araki for no particular reason releases some information that gives her a confirmed date of birth which is, well, not that). I think occasionally fans mix up and/or choose to think other, legitimately background characters in DiU with short brownish hair are also Hachi sightings (using Araki's tendency to tweak character designs after introduction as reasoning), so there could be headcanons that spring from these one-off panels (Doesn't that girl with the racket we only see from behind look like Hachi? Tennis club member confirmed? No wait, Hachi works part-time at the Owson's after school, doesn't she? That employee that shows up in the background of a scene has similar eyebrows, though her hair is longer. Maybe the animators didn't know that was supposed to be Hachi?). I also think people headcanoning Hachi as having a crush on whichever character in her age range is the op's personal blorbo is deeply funny. Like they are using the 1-2 panels at their disposal of Hachi looking at any given character as evidence--but the real ones are posting that "It doesn't have to be like this. Hachi has 2 hands" to a raucous 8 note reception.

Closing things out here: not a headcanon but I think it would be funny if a small subset of fandom enjoyed wildly exaggerating canon!Hachi/Driver 8's plot importance/popularity in fandom for jokes. Example:

I do think people wld think she's either too edgy or annoying. Like the kind of edgy in the Chase opening people hated. Some might even think she's a Mary Sue. ( oh, she's an ex-vampire but she's a GOOD one? ). Fandom's super weird abt women to begin with, much moreso powerful or 'strong' women. ( jojo is better abt this than what ive seen but the women in story are treated... lets say weird. Araki.)

Cannot think abt any tropes off the top of my head though, but I also feel like they'd dumb Hikari down or make her someone with blood knight tendencies. Yes, she likes fighting, but she's not so insane abt it. She canonically stops fights that get too out of hand and even apologizes by patching up any scrapes. Hikari can be a li'l situationally stupid sometimes but she's actually VERY SMART-- it just depends on if she's interested or not.

Gender/pronouns: They/Them/He/Him/She/Her (doesn't really care.) Looks androgynous.

Brief description of personality: Rhonwen is generally a...strange individual. As their flower meaning is "cautious" and "beware", it's of course obvious that they'd be a rather careful, calculating person. Doctor Rho puts careful thought into everything they do, and put on a cutesy front (similar to the flower's cute appearance) of being a nice and caring doctor with well-meaning intentions. Really, they're a toxic person(as is the flower), who's rather manipulative and otherwise stoic, with questionable motivations. The most people tend to know about this doctor is that there's a strange amount of people that have 'accidentally' died in their care.

Brief description of appearance or drawn reference image: Tall, 6'2 androgynous person with a flat chest and a lanky figure. They have long, curly, dyed hair of a red-white gradient color, usually put up in a high ponytail. They have lavender eyes, and maintain a sophisticated stance. They're usually clad in either turtlenecks and coats, or their doctor's uniform, with a small (fake) Rhododendron flower blossoming in their coat pocket.

  ①ナチュラルトリートメントアップチャージSパウチ 手のひらにナチュラルトリートメントアップチャージをパッケージから出してみました。たっぷり1回分です。 化粧水よりもとろとろしたテクスチャー。ほのかにフルーティーな自然の香りがします。いいにおいです。 顔全体に塗っても余るほどの量で、たっぷりと肌に潤いがしみわたっていきます。 当初の香りはだんだんと消えていきました。肌が整えられていく感じがします。

  ②ビューティービオファイター ピュアフルーティーS　ミニボトル ③ビューティービオファイター プリンセスケアS　ミニボトル 今度は、2種類の化粧水を肌にのせていきます。ビューティービオファイター ピュアフルーティー、ビューティービオファイター プリンセスケアの順に使うようです。 まずは②ビューティービオファイター ピュアフルーティー。香りは殆どなく、手のひらにのせてみると無色なので、水のようです。 顔につけた感触はまさに水で、さらりとしてパシャパシャと広げられます。スルスルと顔全体にのびていきます。

③ビューティービオファイター プリンセスケア。②よりもとろりとしたテクスチャーです。匂いはほとんどありません。 ②で整えた土台に、③ビューティービオファイター プリンセスケアを乗せていくことで、さらに肌全体が滑らかになっったような気がしました。

④エッセンスハーブバームクリームF こちらは上記のサンプルとは異なり、固形のクリームになります。指でとった感触は、ワセリンのようです。 香りは①ナチュラルトリートメントアップチャージと同じ自然なフルーティーのかすかな香り。 1つ注意点としては、最初にフタが空かなかったことです。かなり頑張らないと開かなかったので、使い終わった後に力いっぱいフタを閉めると危険だと感じました。 （ちなみに、フタを開けるときには以前手に入れたDIMEの付録がとても役に立ちました。DIME（ダイム）2020年4月号キッチンオープナー）

  ⑤ミネラルリキッドリーファンデーション　パウチ こちらはサラサラとろりとしたやわらかめのテクスチャー。若干油分が分離していました。 手の甲にのばしてみると、ものすごく伸びが良かったです。 顔にも塗ってみましたが、かなりの伸びの良さに、塗りすぎ感が否めないコウメ太夫のような顔面になってしまいました。大変大変！ あわててティッシュオフして、つけすぎたファンデーションを少し落とした後、パウダーを乗せ、やっと落ち着きました。あーびっくりした。 これ一つだと少しテカテカしてしまう感じがしたので、1回の量をもう少し少なめにするか、パウダーファンデーションと併用するかしたほうがいいと感じました。 伸びがとても良く、しっとりと乾燥を防いでくれる点はとてもいいと感じました。

この付録、アリ？ナシ？

あり！ 今号の付録の中で、個人的にはナチュラルトリートメントアップチャージがとても気持ちよかったです。 また、ミネラルリキッドリーファンデーションは、コウメ大夫にならないように、もっと大切に使えばよかったと後悔が残りました。 この2点は1回使い切りパウチだったので、もっとお試ししたかったのに、少し残念です。 しかしながら、先月号付録のMAQUIA（マキア）2020年8月号　 FEMMUE（ファミュ）ベストセラー3品もそうですが、コスメブランドのラインをひと揃え付録でお試しできると、とてもうれしいですし、思わずそろえて使ってみたくなってしまいます。 今回も盛りだくさんの5品ということで満足感が高く、おなか一杯です。 しかも全部合わせて（計算が間違っていなければ）1791円相当のサンプルと、まさかの本誌越えのコスパの良さ！ 欲を言えば、パウチの2点をもう少し加えてくれたらうれしかったな、と感じてしまいましたが、贅沢ですね・・・。

  付録を試してみた感想は？ MiMCのサンプルが盛りだくさんです。本誌p.140や付録パッケージを見ると、下の写真の①→⑤の順番に使うのが正しいやり方のようなので、まずはセオリー通りに試していきましょう。

サイズはどれくらい？   未使用三菱鉛筆と、三菱UNIクルトガシャープペンシルと比べた写真がこちら。 市販されているペンタイプの筆記具と同じくらいのサイズ感。これならペンケースに入っていても違和感を覚えませんね。

各パーツをばらした時の様子がこちら。 一本一本はショップカードの長辺よりも短い長さになります。

＜実測サイズ＞ 長さ・・・16㎝ 直径・・・8㎜   付録を使ってみた感想は？ ロケット式メイクブラシというタイトルから昔懐かしい「ロケットペンシル」を想像したのですが、まったくその通りでした。 ただ若干の違いとしては、ロケット式メイクブラシは、ロケットのパーツそれぞれが異なるメイクブラシになるということ。 具体的には、アイブロウブラシ、アイシャドウブラシ、リップブラシ、スクリューブラシの4タイプです。 あと、一つ異なる点としては、スクリューブラシの端が閉じられているので、スクリューブラシのうしろには他のブラシをくっつけることはできません。 つまり、それぞれのブラシを使用するときに、全てのブラシをくっつけて1本のペンシル状にして使うことはできません。 ブラシを使う時は、フタも含めて常に全体が2本に分かれた状態で使うことになります。

それでは、それぞれを使ってみることにしましょう。 アイシャドウブラシ 毛がたっぷり詰まっていて、手持ちのアイシャドウブラシよりはやや硬めの丸筆でした。チップよりは柔らかいです。 毛先が細くなっているので、広い範囲にパウダーをぼかすようにして使うより、狭い範囲に広げるのにいいなと感じました。

アイブロウブラシ こちらは毛がつまっていないせいか、アイシャドウブラシよりも柔らかい感触でした。平筆です。 毛先が斜めにカットされていてパウダーを広げやすく、描き終わりを細く仕上げることもできました。

リップブラシ こちらも毛先がラウンドカットされていますが、平筆です。太さの調節がしやすく、エッジもきれいになぞることができて使いやすいです。

スクリューブラシ やや硬めで、毛先が長めのスクリューブラシは、眉を整えやすかったです。ただ、このブラシを使う時は、他のブラシとくっつけられず、短い単体の状態で使わなくてはなりません。 筆者はやや使いづらいと感じましたが、慣れればなんてことはないのでしょうか。  

この付録、アリ？ナシ？

あり！ この1本で4つのメイクブラシを網羅していて、「あり！◎」。 ポーチの中にすっきりと入るので、持ち歩きにも便利。使う時もスマートに使うことができます。 お気に入りのメイク道具のサポート役としてもぴったりですね。 とくに筆者のようなめんどくさがり人間にとっては、ごちゃごちゃしたアイテムをすっきり一本にまとめてくれるなんて、若干大げさかもしれませんが神アイテム！に認定してもいいくらいです。 また、ロケット式というのも遊び心があって嬉しくなります。近頃はやりの昭和レトロをねらったアイテムなのでしょうか。まさに昭和の子どものころを思い出して懐かしくなってしまった筆者なのでした・・・
