I haven't been keeping up on American Girl news (honestly, the disrespect and transphobia of partnering with HP turned my stomach, and I still haven't forgiven them) but the way I squealed at the Grin Pins the new twins have.

I had to dig mine out, but after multiple cross-state moves, my 90s stuff is mostly lost My mom was actually going to throw this package of pins out the other month, so they're the only ones I have, but we were obsessed as kids (I stuck the sticker ones on everything).

I'm at that weird point in my life where I don't have a stable enough job to move out on my own, and I still live with my family, so seeing things from my childhood being historical is really um... weird I guess? Fun, though.

I dunno if I'm going to get anything (still salty), but I love looking (and maybe the other brands will copy AG and I can fill my house with cool stuff I couldn't afford as a kid!)

American Girl Reveals Tamagotchi for 90’s Themed Accessory Park

The American Girl brand from Mattel has just introduced their two latest dolls, Isabel and Nicki who are twins both based in the 1990’s. These two dolls are part of the “historical collection”, may we beg to differ? Is anyone else getting Mary Kate and Ashley vibes from these two dolls? These two dolls encompass the trends of the 90’s and what would that be without a Tamagotchi? As a part of the launch there are also accessory kits, including a Tamagotchi, inflatable sofa, and more.

The “Isabel’s Bedroom Accessories” kit features a translucent blue P1 Tamagotchi Original! This Tamagotchi is not a functioning toy, but rather a toy that is made to scale for 18 inch dolls. It features a keychain as well as a lenticular screen, meaning as you move the device around the animation on the screen will change. This kit costs $50 USD and is already available for purchase on the American Girls website.

We think this is just such a cute collaboration! There’s also significance between the collaboration of two major American toy companies, Bandai and Mattel. Why would I want my theoretical daughters to play with dolls that were roughly the same age I was then? But living a cooler, Disney channel life?

Also why are there no Asian American historical dolls currently available? That seems like a major oversight on their part.

My thoughts on the new 90s Historical dolls.

When I 1st saw these on Instagram I thought it was some fanmade concept but these are actual leaks!

The dolls are actually really cute and I love their collections the only issue is that I wish they weren't blonde white girls ( American Girl was doing so well with their girl of the year dolls but they just had to back track smh) also American Girl has used the names Isabel and Nicki before they need to come up with some new names.

I do like how they are twins it's a really cute concept and 100% inspired by Mary Kate and Ashley.

Needless to say if I had the money for them I would a 100% buy them and their entire collection I think they're just absolutely adorable.

I'm super scared for an a couple of years when they make early 2000 I'm going to feel so old
