There is just something so calming about driving off for hours and hours out in the country, barely anyone or anything

#nsw even when its a place ive never been #always feels familiar even when its strange #i love the coast and id like to travel but something about country nsw just always calls me back #theres also a weird eeriness to it too #like once you leave the coast here it is so empty #australia is roughly about the same size as the us but 90% of its empty outside the coast #so it makes driving away feel so freeing #bc it doesnt take too long on the highway before shit is really empty #at least from where i am #also just seeing a tiny shop or cafe in the middle of nowhere is always so fun #id its just fun #if any of you ever come out here i would happily take you out past lithgow and wollombi and #dunedoo gundagai central mangrove..... #or down further #we drove all the way 1200kms in a single day from melb to here #it took from morning til 11pm but it was fun #that was like pre pandemic tho #i would stop places if i idid it again #anyway yeah #love the open road even if driving scares me still #also i didnt dox myself bc i listed random towns i have been not the place i acrually grew up ya see

It’d be a contribution since I’m currently doing the first home super saver scheme. Also for your first house you don’t need a 20% deposit necessarily, though u do need to be able to make the payments so 😬 not great. Also there’s no fucking way I’m affording a house within five years so it was kind of a random number. I think in reality I’d just put the whole $250k in etfs. maybe go on a little holiday.
