The Story of Karone Is wonderful because when She was kid, She was kidnapped by Ecrypto while She was playing with her Brother Andros. Poor Karone, She was abused by Ecrypto for all life and to becomed evil but only the love of her Brother Andros and his friend Zhane save her in the middle of the show Power Rangers in Space until the end, Karone return in her true form and then She helped Leo Corbett and his Friends to stop Trakeena and to Reborn Kendrix Morgan in Life in the Company of Bull and Skull in Power Rangers Lost Galaxy.
Karone Is the best character because She was different from Rita Repulsa, Divatox and Trakeena and She Is not sadic and evil because She was mysterious but sad.
When She was Astromena, She changes her hair and the colours of her hairs where beautiful like the Dust of universe

Chapter 13
Summary: You deal with Connor's absence and learn not to trust so easily. TW → spiking of a drink ✧ masterlist ✧ ao3 ✧ wattpad ✧ ✧ previous chapter ✧ next chapter ✧
If there's one thing you didn't like doing, it was waiting.
It'd been nearly six hours since Connor left the precinct, and you were starting to get nervous.
You'd barely taken your shoes off when Gavin was texting you and telling you to turn on the TV. Turns out, Hank's distraction did little to throw Perkins off the scent of Jericho, and they found it almost at the same time as Connor.
You were basically glued to the TV as you waited for any update from Connor. You scanned the screen, searching for anything that could indicate he was alive.
Hank made sure to check up on you, and you made him promise to tell you if heard anything from your favorite android detective. You watched the multitudes of androids being escorted out of the burning freighter. You could barely make anything out through the smoky haze.
By three in the morning, your eyes began to droop and nervousness morphed into alarm.
You hadn't even realized you dozed off until you woke with a start, wiping the drool off your cheek and quickly flipping on the morning news. A national curfew had been set and all androids had to be turned in to be sent to death camps. It made you sick.
You spent the rest of the day going from watching the news, to dozing off, and then hastily checking your phone. Rinse and repeat.
That night, you attempt to get some semblance of a normal amount of sleep instead of the power naps you'd taken throughout the day. Sitting in front of the TV won't do anything but make you more anxious, you scold yourself as you try to convince yourself to sleep. You resist the urge to grab your phone and endlessly refresh your news feed. Eventually, sleep overtakes your restless mind.
The day passed with you going through the same motions: check your phone, watch the news, pace the apartment, repeat.
The clock struck eight, and you're on your seventh round of watching the news go over the various restrictions that had been placed. Your eyes were beginning to glaze over, and your hope for the situation had started to dwindle. You still hadn't heard from Connor, and your fear was starting to get the best of you.
A knock rang out from your front door, and you stiffen, remote clutched tightly in one hand. It only takes you a second before you're scrambling to reach the door, thankful you found the energy to get dressed today.
You whipped open the front door, and there he was.
Connor was wearing a beanie covering his LED and a brown leather jacket over a gray sweatshirt. Casual clothes were a good look on him.
"You're okay," you breathed, taking in his new look and reaching for his shoulders. You pulled him into a hug, and he eagerly enveloped you in his arms. You just needed to touch him, make sure he was actually here with you.
"Let's talk inside," he gently urged into the crook of your neck. You obliged, letting him push you back into your apartment, and kick the door closed behind him.
You released your hold on him and took a step back. Connor hovered near the entrance, and you began talking rapidly about everything that'd happened since he left the precinct. You emphasized how worried you'd been, and demanded to know everything that'd happened.
He cut off your rambling by moving to rest his hands on your hips, and bring you closer to him, "Doctor, I- I need to tell you something."
His tone was worrying, and you furrowed your brows slightly.
He avoided your graze, fingers tapping an unknown melody on your hip bone. "I'm," he paused, only for a moment, "I'm a deviant."
A sigh of relief escaped your lips, "God, Connor, don't scare me like that. I know, it's okay." You move your hands up to cup his face, gently rubbing your thumb over his cheek.
He furrows his brows, "You know?"
"I had my suspicions, but after Kamski's I was certain," you said softly. You loved being this close to him, especially after not seeing or hearing from him for the past two days.
You didn't even realize you were crying until he wiped a few stray tears off your cheek. Both of you were just holding each other's faces, and he touched his forehead to yours.
"Let me make you something to drink," he offered, and you chuckled. Now wasn't really the time for liquor, but you nodded anyway.
You watched as he got you a mug and tea bag down from the cabinet.
Oh.
Your attention shifted to the TV showing the various android camps that had been set up across the city, and you drifted over to the living room and sat on the couch. You wrinkled your nose, It wasn't fair.
Connor padded over and handed you a steaming mug, and you eyed him warily. "How did you know how I like my tea?"
"I took an educated guess based on your coffee preferences," he grinned as he sat next to you.
You hummed before taking a sip; it was almost perfect. It was slightly too bitter for your taste, but you brushed it off. "What's the plan now? Did you meet with Markus?" You asked before taking another sip.
"Yes, I met Markus, and he shed some light on certain aspects of myself that I didn't know existed," he commented, leaning closer to you.
You raised an eyebrow and set your mug down, "Oh yeah?"
"Yes," he tucked a stray piece of hair behind your eye, "he made me realize just how deeply I care for you... Suddenly, my mission doesn't matter as much as you do."
You leaned in so your faces were inches apart, and your heart felt like it might pound out of your chest. His gaze flicked from your eyes to your lips and back up again.
"May I kiss yo-"
Connor's lips pressed firmly to yours cut you off. It was clumsy, but he quickly got the hang of it as your lips moved in tandem. He's a quick learner. Noted.
You ran one hand through his hair, eliciting a deep groan from him. His hair was softer than you imagined.
You reluctantly pulled away when the need for oxygen became too great. You'd never had a kiss that made your lips feel so numb.
Now that you thought about it, your whole face was beginning to feel numb, as well.
You pulled away from him, and he gave you a blank stare as he watched you put the puzzle pieces together. This was wrong.
You clenched your hands as you attempted to get some feeling back in them. You pushed yourself off the couch, needing to get away from Connor. Now.
The numbness has started to spread to your legs, and you fell in a heap next to the coffee table. A dull pain shot through the side you fell on, but it barely registered in your muddled mind. Your vision was going blurry, and you blinked rapidly in an attempt to focus on something. Anything.
Your gaze landed on your mug, and you cursed yourself.
"Did you fuckin roofie me?" Your words were beginning to slur, and your limbs felt heavy.
"I'm sorry, Doctor," Connor replied, kneeling next to you, "but I can't let him ruin my mission, and you're the only way he'll listen."
Connor.
It looked like him, but it wasn't him. He wouldn't do this to you.
You furrowed your brows in response. His voice sounded muffled almost like you had cotton in your ears.
He rolled you onto your back, and you started up at the ceiling, wondering how you could be so foolish. He was gone for a few moments, before returning with something in his hands. You distantly felt him lift one leg and shove something on your foot before doing the same to the other leg. He was putting on your shoes. Where was he taking you?
"You'll be groggy for the next few hours," he said as he wrapped your arm around his shoulder and brought you to your feet, "but other than that you're uninjured." It felt like coming back from the Stratford Tower all over again as Connor half-dragged you toward the front door of your apartment. Although, this time you couldn't push him away.
You grumbled out a response, which was mostly just you groaning, and your eyelids started to droop. They were just so fucking heavy.
All you could do was watch as he grabbed your keys off the hook and dragged you out the front door.

LÉGENDES DU JAZZ
BILLY HIGGINS, ‘’SMILING BILLY’’
“Billy Higgins’s talent will never be duplicated – not that any style can be – but his mark on jazz history is indelible. Billy Higgins represents four decades of total dedication to his chosen form of American music: jazz.”
- Cedar Walton
Thurber avait ajouté: ‘’The event crowded the room with every available jazz musician and aficionado.”
"They should bus children in here so they can see all this, so they could be a part of it. Because the stuff that they feed kids now, they'll have a bunch of idiots in the next millennium as far as art and culture is concerned. I play at schools all the time, and I ask, 'Do you know who Art Tatum was?' 'Well, I guess not.' Some of them don't know who John Coltrane was, or Charlie Parker. It's our fault. Those who know never told them. They know who Elvis Presley was, and Tupac, or Scooby-Dooby Scoop Dogg--whatever. Anybody can emulate them, because it's easy, it has nothing to do with individualism. There's so much beautiful music in the world, and kids are getting robbed.’’
Comparant Higgins à un maître zen, Lloyd avait ajouté: “everybody who plays with him gets that ecstatic high.” Rendant hommage à Higgins après sa mort, son collaborateur de longue date, le pianiste Cedar Walton, avait ajouté: “Billy Higgins’s talent will never be duplicated – not that any style can be – but his mark on jazz history is indelible. Billy Higgins represents four decades of total dedication to his chosen form of American music: jazz.”
Qualifiant le jeu de Higgins, le critique Ted Panken du magazine Down Beat avait commenté: "To witness him--smiling broadly, eyes aglimmer, dancing with the drum set, navigating the flow with perfect touch, finding the apropos tone for every beat--was a majestic, seductive experience." De son côté, le chef d’orchestre Larry Riley avait précisé: “Billy was a facilitator, not a dominator. He would enhance the direction the music ‘wanted’ to go in rather than impose his own will on the composition. You can hear that Billy was a master at creating a good feeling in the rhythm section. Dynamically, he used the entire spectrum— but with great restraint. His comping and overall flow were very precise but very legato.”
“That’s where you learn. You learn to be in context with the music and interpret. You make your mistakes and you learn. Most of the drummers that are working are people who know how to make the other instruments get their sound. Kenny Clarke was a master at that. It sounds like he was doing very little, and he was, but what he implied made all the instruments get their sound. Philly Joe, Elvin—as strong as they played, they still bring out the essence of what the other musicians are playing. Roy Haynes, Max, Art Blakey—none of them played the same. You try to add your part, but the idea is to be part of the music and make it one. That’s the whole concept for me.”
Décrivant la contribution d’Higgins à l’histoire du jazz, le contrebassiste Ron Carter avait ajouté: “Billy Higgins was the drummer of the 20th century who put the music back into the drums. He was fabulous. He always played the form, and he was aware not only of the soloists, but also of his rhythm section mates.” Saluant le professionnalisme et la grande préparation d’Higgins, Carter avait précisé: “He was always on time, with his equipment ready, and he contributed to the general outlook of the group no matter where [we were] or how many people were involved. He made the music feel good.” De son côté, le pianiste Cedar Walton avait commenté: “His style is well-documented, but to see Billy in person at his drums was the ultimate jazz experience.”
Le saxophoniste Charles Lloyd avait rendu un des meilleurs hommages qu’on pouvait rendre à Higgins lorsqu’il avait déclaré: "Jazz is the music of wonder and, and he's the personification of it.’’ Comme il l’avait mentionné peu de temps avant sa mort: "I feel blessed to play music, and it's also an honor to play music. You've got a lot of people's feeling in your hands."

The Rolling Stones, Black and Blue
(CW: misogynistic ad campaign; depicted violence against women)
The last of the Stones' three-album run that begins with Goats Head Soup and continues with It's Only Rock and Roll. The run is wedged between their late '60s/early '70s pinnacle and their mid-/late-'70s reinvigoration, finding the band in an odd place of misogyny, tax exile, and heroin haze, amid shifting musical styles and band members.
Recorded after the Stones lost ace guitarist Mick Taylor, the sessions saw a string of replacement candidates shuffle through, among them Harvey Mandel, whose snaky guitar features in leadoff cut "Hot Stuff"; Wayne Perkins, whose solo brightens "Hand of Fate"; and eventual selectee Ron Wood, featured in "Cherry Oh Baby."
The album reveals strong reggae and dance music influences and benefits from excellent keyboard from Billy Preston, who plays throughout—his standout cut, in my opinion, being "Melody," where his piano and organ carry the song, along with a lazy, swooping horn arrangement.
The band's weird vibe at the time extended to the album's ad campaign, which was misogynistic even for The Rolling Stones:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Protests by women's groups against the ad campaign saw it discontinued, but the publicity points had already been scored.
It's considered the band's "jam" album, and it does have that feel, with several of the songs more platform for playing (and, perhaps, auditioning the various guitarists) than song.
Some Girls would follow two years later and shift listeners' and critics' thinking on the Stones, leaving this three-album stretch to be mined for deep cuts and occasional gems.

Chapter 10: Consequences
Tumblr media
It didn't take long for Agent Perkins to realize that we had tampered with the evidence room. He was furious, and Hank and I were locked up in one of the cells. Gavin, even with his broken nose, was there with Perkins, like a lapdog. I sat on the cell floor resigned.
While we were in the cell, I felt a mixture of frustration and determination. It was disheartening to be unjustly imprisoned, especially when we were so close to uncovering the truth behind the case. However, I knew we couldn't give up. I looked at Hank, who shared the same determined expression. We both knew we needed to find a way out of there and continue.
I looked at the android guarding our cell, pondering the possibility of persuading him to set us free. I glanced at Hank, sharing a look that conveyed the same idea: we needed to try. I swallowed hard and approached the cell bars.
"Hey, buddy," I began, trying to keep my voice calm and friendly. "Could you give us a hand here? You see, we shouldn't be locked up. We're trying to solve an important case, and we need to get out of here to continue our work. Can you help us find a way out?"
The android looked at me with its mechanical eyes, processing my words. For a moment, it seemed to hesitate, as if processing the situation. I kept my gaze fixed on him, waiting for a response.
"Why should I help you?" he asked, and I realized there might be an opportunity here. If he wasn't going to help, he wouldn't ask for a reason. Faced with the android's question, I took a deep breath, choosing my words carefully to convince him to assist us.
"You can help us because everyone deserves a second chance," I began, selecting my words with care. "I believe you are more than just any android. You have the ability to make ethical decisions and do what's right. By helping us now, you'll be contributing to ensuring that the truth is revealed. Together, we can make a difference, and you can have your rights too." My response seemed to convince him. With a nod of his head, the android seemed to ponder my words for a moment. After a brief pause, he unlocked the cell and allowed us to leave. I felt a mixture of relief and gratitude at his decision. It was a small step, but it meant a great deal to us in that crucial moment. I thanked the android with a sincere smile, and together with Hank, I stepped out of the cell.
The anguish intensified with each passing minute without news of Connor. My mind was filled with worries and fears, imagining the worst possible scenario. The discovery of the android base and its subsequent destruction only increased my anxiety, knowing that Connor could be in danger.
Feeling powerless and frustrated in the face of the situation, I waited anxiously for any sign of life from him, praying that he was safe.
A revolution was taking place on the main avenues of Detroit, and we were all called to contain these events, but my interest was in Connor's whereabouts. The snow fell heavily, creating an atmosphere of chaos and urgency as I arrived at the scene of the conflicts. The streets were filled with androids amidst a growing revolt, whose magnitude was even more impressive under the white blanket of snow. The scene was unexpectedly moving, with the android protesters opting for a peaceful approach amidst the chaos surrounding the streets. The leader of the group began to chant a song, filling the air with a serene and inspiring melody. His voice echoed between the buildings, bringing a sense of calm and unity even amidst the turmoil of the revolt. I was touched by the scene, watching with admiration the determination and courage of these androids in seeking peaceful change.
Spotting Connor among the army of hundreds of androids, my heart skipped a beat. Amidst the chaos of the streets, his presence was like a beacon of hope. My eyes fixed on him, ignoring everything else around us. It was a relief to see him safe and sound, but it also stirred up a wave of emotions that I could barely comprehend. With determination, I began to make my way through the crowd of androids, gently pushing people around me. My mind was focused only on reaching Connor, checking if he was okay, touching his skin, embracing him, and making sure he was safe. Each step was an effort to get closer to him, ignoring the obstacles and curious glances around me. My breath was quickened, my heart pounding, and the snow falling softly around us seemed like a surreal backdrop to this long-awaited encounter.
The moment I got close enough, I heard my name whispered softly by Connor. Without hesitation, I threw myself into his open arms. He held me firmly, and the sensation of his warmth and touch enveloped my body, calming all my thoughts and fears. There, in his arms, I felt a wave of relief and happiness flood over me. We were together again, and nothing else mattered in that moment.
Markus, the leader of the revolution, began to make a speech about equality and rights that the androids deserved, and I was looking at Connor, positioned behind Markus, watching him closely. He seemed to be in a trance, then he pulled out a gun. I panicked and tried to climb onto the stage, but there were too many androids in front of me, anguish and fear consumed me as I struggled to reach Connor and stop him from making an irreversible mistake.
"CONNOR? LOOK AT ME, CONNOR? "- I pushed a few more androids, trying to get to him, then he put the gun away.
A sigh of relief escaped me when I saw Connor return to normal and his eyes meet mine, accompanied by a reassuring smile. I felt a wave of calmness wash over me as our gazes connected, as if he were assuring me that everything was okay.

A girl from Rhinelander
She followed him to Minneapolis
Despite him telling her not to
The inevitable happened
She had been crying
She hadn’t eaten
Mom worried
A breakup
No Job
Alone
It was already late
But if not me,
Someone
Else
Someone perhaps without
The good intentions
I was known for
She had no car
I drove to her
To a Perkins
Open late
She ate
Well
We sat on the concrete step
Outside her uptown home
Into the early morning
Chatting about life
It was still hot
Even then
We shared a taste in music
Discussed the band Cold
She hated the song
"Stupid Girl"
I couldn't
Blame
Her
Recommended their last album
13 Ways to Bleed on Stage
"Forever my love is music
And I will marry melody"
I laughed at myself
How did I find
Myself here?
Things that
Happen
Only
To
Me
I went home
Never saw
Her again
I hope
She’s
Well

“If I believe you” by the 1975 is an electro-gospel song with a lush collection of voices, synthesizers, and instruments contained within its six minutes and twenty seconds. The producer George Daniel is known for collecting rare and vintage synths and has talked openly about their many uses during the bands twenty-year career. The opening sounds are similar to a very resonant lofi- organ with layered voices, and some tambourine. As it moves into the verse there is a loud resonant clap sound used to add a light percussive element over the voice and synth. The guitar plays a background part to the whole song using a sound modifier to make it blend with the synth. The bass guitar is used similarly to the lead guitar, though its tonal quality shows through the synth clearer as it helps to build the chords throughout the song. As the lead vocal grows through the chorus, there are short bursts of choral background singing. The use of a choir aides in the display of the overtly religious overtones. The musical bridge features a lush Jazz inspired sound from the flugelhorn played by Roy Hargrove; this is a sound I was personally less accustomed to as it has fallen out of use in popular music. The plucky whimsical synth returns after the bridge along with the light percussive clap to support the vocalist through the end. After the bridge the synth is playing an arpeggiated melody that harkens a synthesized harp in a more playful way than it had previously sounded. The lead vocal is duplicated and stretched through the end adding a layered feeling that perfectly complements the arpeggiated synth and light percussion to create a hopeful whimsical sound.
This song was released in 2016 and has since been sampled twice. Once by the 1975 themselves for their 2020 record and Keshi on his 2016 track “if you’re not the one for me who is”.
