EAH Glee AU

I do not have time right now to work on my actual writing- midterms are done so now we're just jumping right into final papers- but have an AU outline post.

Professor Pied Piper, taking inspiration from some of his best high school memories, gets Headmaster Grimm to reinstate the school glee club.

Meanwhile, Madame Baba Yaga fears the new activity will steal away talent from her prize cheer-hexing team, the Ever After High Cheerios (I can’t think of a good fairytale-ification for this, I will accept suggestions). To rectify this situation, she sends in three of her girls undercover with the goal of sabotaging the glee club.

Basically, Pied Piper is Will Schuester, Baba Yaga is Sue Sylvester, and chaos ensues.

Glee Club Members:

Apple White: She joined because 1) she's good at singing 2) she genuinely enjoys singing 3) her mom was in the Glee Club and led them to winning Nationals. I'd say she's the Rachel Berry or the Quinn Fabray, but I'm not gonna do that thing where I entirely change a character's personality to make them fit into the role of another character...for the students anyway. Look, Apple's got enough drama in her life, she doesn't need me making her crazy enough to send someone to a crack house out of jealousy.

Raven: Uh, in the books Headmaster Grimm won't let her take Muse-ic because it's not an evil class. Luckily, because of a bizarre loophole in the school guidelines for competitive teams, Headmaster Grimm can't ban her from Glee Club. Everyone say thank you Giles.

Daring: He joined because he was told it would give him extra credit for the serenading skills portion of Advanced Wooing. Also, Apple asked him to join because they didn't have enough boys in the club and Daring's been trained to never ignore a request from a damsel.

Dexter: He’s there cause Raven’s there? And also cause he is a genuinely great singer and unlike Daring needs the Advanced Wooing extra credit? Also, I just kinda want him there.

Darling: Her mom made her join. Queen Charming really said “I’m gonna take a page from Snow White’s book and live vicariously through you, offspring of mine”.

Briar: She really likes the idea of a team competition where she won’t put her teammates in danger if she falls asleep. Also, she checked the competition rulebook, as long as they don’t all leave the stage when she has a narcoleptic episode they won’t be disqualified.

Humphrey: Every Glee AU needs a white-boy-who raps and Ever After High has one already built-in in the form of Humphrey Dumpty.

Maddie: She’s there cause Raven’s there. It’s utterly hattastic!

Kitty: She’s there because she remembered her mom talking about how some of her fondest memories of high school revolves around messing with the glee club, and Kitty wants dearly to be like her mother.

Lizzie: We’re completing the Wonderland ensemble. Lizzie joins because she needs an extra curricular and the Invisible Tree Situation has gotten so out of hand they had to disband the croquet team. Great voice, ngl.

Justine: Not the strongest singer in the room, but she’s capable of choreographing numbers like nobody’s business.

Meeshell: Listen, canon’s pretending her singing in that webisode was something amazing. So like, we’re pretending now too.

Duchess: I picture her as a Sugar Motta-type character. Cannot sing, massive diva, but they gotta put up with her cause her family’s donating to the club budget.

Melody: Listen, it’s her dad’s club. She can’t just not join. She’s banking those supportive daughter points for a rainy day.

Lawrence Bonecrusher III: Listen, I just it'd be funny if Professor Piper says the ever-insane "You're all minorities, you're in the glee club" line and there's the one orc student in the school just sitting there with his eyebrow raised. He's also the Matt of this AU. For some reason never speaks when in a scene.

Faybelle: Captain of the Cheerios, totally not here as part of a scheme by Madame Yaga to DESTROY THE GLEE CLUB!!!!

Nah, but seriously, this whole AU was born of me going "What EAH character would say the iconic 'I'm a closeted lesbian and a judgemental bitch' line?" and her face popped into my mind.

she hates that she loves horror movies

she also loves rom-coms. her and dexter have that in common

she rescued a black cat during halloween

she named her luna, she always sleeps at ravens feet at night

when theres some sort of explosion in Chemythstry, some students will try to blame it on ravens magic, forcing her to do extra credit work for Rumpelstiltskin

she realized she liked dexter back after 3 days in a row of completely obliterating her sleep schedule just to talk to him on the phone

she can play so many taylor swift songs on her guitar

dexter doesnt play the guitar, but he learned one song to play for her

her highest grade is in muse-ic class

shes had dinner with the families of cedar, cerise, maddie, and melody on multiple occasions

she is ALWAYS first in line when gingers bakery opens in the morning

yes ginger owns a bakery. right next to the mad hatters tea shop

she became really close to ashlynn and briar when they rebeled

briar took her rock climbing once

raven loves hanging out with briar, but will NEVER go rock climbing again

just realized this is a bit more that "a few" hcs LOL

she has anxiety about going to restaurants because once she was refused service simply for who her mom was

she has a small "pretty rock" collection on top of her piano

cedar and cerise will occasionally add to it

its like a love language fr

maddie is not allowed to add to it because she keeps putting things that definitely are not rocks and are possibly dangerous

she writes poems when shes sad

when shes happy she turns them into songs

- When Pied Piper returned the kids to their parents (no, he didn't drown them, c'mon Eah show isn't that dark) he noticed a kid in the group who didn't ran to none of the adults in the village and no parents who ever sought her out.

That child was Melody, and seeing she had no parents and home, the Pied Piper adopted her

- Cheshire Cat created Kitty. Like she literally took a part of herself and molded it into a baby Kitty. How's that possible? To make herself disappear and reappear, the Cheshire Cat is made of smokey and pooffy stuff inside so if she wants a kid, she can easily just pluck off some of the smoke stuff from her arm or leg etc. It doesn't hurt in case you're wondering

- The Huntsman (Hunter's dad) and Red (Cerise's mom) were childhood, and the Huntsman was in love with her

It's was one-sided and Red was oblivious to his feelings and The Huntsman never had the courage to tell her how he truly felt...so you would get this teenage boy get all shy saying stuff like - "Wowza Red...funny to think how i'm technically ur Prince Charming...👉👈 saving u from the Big bad wolf....very fuunnyy riiight? haahahaa"

- Like it was shown in Class of Classics, King Charming was similar to Dexter at the start, but with the pressure to be a perfect Prince Charming, mixed in with his own insecurities and wanting not to fail his own destiny, he started to become the worst version of himself, but because he alligned with the rules of how a Pince Charming should be, many weren't that bothered by it, outside of Pinnochio and Goldie who knew the real him.

Pinnochio misses his old friend

- Red and EQ were those friends who since highschool had plans of their kids also being friends like they are, but then EQ got trapped in the mirror realm and so there were no playdates between Raven and Cerise.

After Red learned Cerise had befriended Raven, she felt happy. (EQ learned about their friendship either through the mirrors or after she got broken out of the realm)

2. MAKES SENSE. I CAN TOTALLY IMAGINE IT. There is no way kitty actually has a father.

4.THIS IS EXACTLY THE IMPRESSION I GOT FROM LANCE. He was nerdy and insecure but because of the pressures of society decided to completely be consumed by the toxic masculinity mindset and because of that, he eliminated any kind of resemblance of who he truly is. And now he projects onto daring and Dexter. Rip. AGHHRHRHRRJJJJHHHHH STOP I FEEL SIIICKKKKKJKKK FUCK YOU LANCE. I hate king charming with my entire heart and soul, but I can also mourn for the person he couldve become if he grew up in a different more accepting environment.

How do you imagine ravens future to be? Like would she get married or not,run a music career,have kids,etc

Well in tlosh Raven says that she wants to become a storyteller which was kinda weird to me because raven never really showed any interest in that, besides rewriting her own destiny which is really just a fancy way of saying living.

And I thought that Shannon just decided that would be good symbolism/end the ravens character arc. Until I thought more about it. Like storytelling isn’t just ink and parchment.

So I think during her final years at eah her and melody create a musical duo with Melody (PLZ THEIR VOICES WOULD BLEND SO WELL TOGETHER) which eventually turned into a band that was kinda just recording different songs that (mostly) raven wrote and it was different ppl on each track

Some of the ppl I could see would be Cupid on lyre, Jillian on harp, Ashlynn flute, raven guitar / piano, Maddie and Lizzie on random wonderlandian instruments and melody on literary everything.

I don’t think all of those instruments would be in every song (those r just the characters who I think canonically know play those instruments) but yeah

And raven would be writing n recording songs all throughout eah and I think that she would become pretty famous

I think that her and dexter would stay together and eventually marry

I think that they wouldn’t try for kids but if raven got pregnant they would keep it.

I could see them adopting tho

I think that every one fsr expected raven to change her last name to charming, but both raven and dex changed their last name to goodking
