I'm probably lucky that I don't have the art skills to pull off all the animatic music videos/AMVs that bounce around in my head because I would definitely kick a few hornet's nests with them. Like the recurring desire to see a TimBer take on One Normal Night from the Addams Family musical is probably innocent enough (Harley Quinn gets Uncle Fester's part, with the spirits being Arkham inmates deciding to stay in for the night), but...

I've mentioned the MILGRIM project before and I just, cannot get out of my head that if you separate Mu Kusunoki's songs from their music videos and listen to the lyrics in a vacuum, they fit Steph PERFECTLY.

Like, in my head, After Pain is her mindset during the events of War Games, especially (translation depending):

But I guess some of it is my fault Maybe it’s ok as it is

If you’re going to make me the villain It’s ok to ignore me If it’s endurance, I’m used to it. It’s just having another taste of it

and the chorus repetition of:

“I’m sorry” won’t reach anyone (I hope it will someday)

All of which does fit how she was written during the event as it was happening.

But then you have the second song in Mu's story, It's Not My Fault, which -- for important context -- comes after the audience of the project voted that Mu was "Innocent" of her crime. Which, to me, fits perfectly for the way that Steph has been characterized in all her stories after War Games, especially in the direct translation of the lyrics:

It’s not my fault after all, after all! Everyone wants me to be innocent. What a relief. Can’t be helped. Since I’m always meant to be pitied-

Sorry, sorry, that must’ve hurt. I didn’t mean to though. You got on my nerves just a teensy tiny bit, that’s all. So let’s say this makes us even.

And to be clear here -- these songs are from the perspective of a high school bully who, so far as we've been able to piece together, lost her status somehow due to the actions of a classmate she bullied and retaliated by murdering that classmate with a box cutter.

Nepenthe is a mun aged 20+ server that allows characters across varying fictional media (drawn, animated, live action, literary, etc).

The setting is the afterlife, set in a city split into two halves. If it wasn't for the TMAGP ARG snippets I probably wouldn't be as obsessed about Sam but oh my goddd with what tiny we know about him I'm not over it. He's got a canon birthday (!!! He's 33 at the start of the show! It's p cool to know that tbh!) so we know when the Institute burned down, he was 9 year old. So at nine, maximum, he went through the Institute's child experiment. That's age he went through potentially a version of the Milgrim experiment! Mr. Spider whom, this child might have actively tortured someone because he was told to?? And that's probably the terrible event that was brought up in the interview but maybe it wasn't! Maybe it's something worse!! Oh no!!!

The guy scored the highest in empathy in the entire test group at 98% and now his job is experiencing other people's horrors like of course he can't help but look into them, of course he can't help but internalize them when Alice has warned him of what can happen, I'm so worried about this man!!!
