What We Deserve
asked anonymously: Could you do 24. "you deserve better" with John Murphy please? warnings: minimal proofreading and bad editing :) word count: 1276
Tumblr media
To say John Murphy was coming to terms with the relationship the two of you shared was somewhat of an understatement. First he was angry about it, like most things in his life, and he lashed out because of said anger. Picking fights, saying rude things, doing everything in his power to cool that fire that burned in his chest every time he thought about you.
Your relationship started not long after the two of you made it to Earth, you being the caring person you are had checked on him after one of his petty little fights with one of the other delinquents. That one time turned into sneaking into his makeshift tent every night and having conversations until the sun came up.
Murphy is infatuated by you, completely and utterly smitten with every bit of you, not that he would ever admit it. He refuses to acknowledge the blush that takes over his cheeks whenever you're mentioned or the way his heart pounds a mile a minute when you're near.
You two became nearly inseparable even with his lack of commitment, he called it close friends, and you called that bullshit. You know you're not just friends, friends don't look at each other the way you look him and friends don't open up like he does when he's with you. And well, friends don't stop to make out in caves during hunting trips, which you admit is probably the most irresponsible thing the two of you could do, considering the grounders that are currently hiding out in the woods, but that never stops you two.
Although now, nothing is going to stop you, you're going to tell him about your feelings for him, you're going to tell him about how tender he makes your heart and how hazy he makes your mind by doing nothing but being around.
You make your way to his tent at your normal time, taking a second outside to get yourself ready, this could make or break your relationship with him, and honestly, you're nervous to lose him after everything you've been through.
But the nerves seem to fall away as you enter his tent, and you see him in all his glory, shirtless and already laying down, as if he was waiting for you. When he looks up at you his smile is like a sudden beam of sunlight even with it being pitch black outside.
"Hey," is all he says as he beckons you over to him, his arms held out to you. Your body easily molds to his as you lean into his chest. He was only ever like this when it's just the two of you and everyone else is asleep, and it makes you question what it would be like to really be his.
"What happened?" Your finger reaches up and lightly sweeps across his cheek that's adored by a purple and black bruise. But he's quick to brush you off with a shake of his head.
"Nothing, hunting trip gone wrong, don't worry about it," he doesn't seem very interested in talking about it, and you're not one to pry. "What're we talking about tonight?"
You fidget slightly where you're leaned against him and push yourself up into a sitting position, "I have something to tell you." You do your best to sound confident but the nerves are starting to come back to life.
Murphy nods as he falls back against the blanket he uses as a pillow and stares at you expectantly.
"Well you see, I've been wanting to tell you this for a while now," your heart is racing, "and I'm hoping you feel the same way," your cheeks are starting to heat up under this stare, "but I like you John Murphy, and I think I'm starting to fall for you."
He stays there for a second, contemplating his next move, he's never been in this situation before. Yeah, he's had relationships before, but nothing like this situationship, nothing as deep as falling.
He rolls over onto his other side, putting his back to you and essentially forcing you away from him, "I think you should leave Y/N." And your heart shatters.
-
The next few days are spent with nothing but your longing eyes being stuck on him as he walks around camp and his cold demeanor ignoring anyone and everyone. The nights are harder, no more conversations about your passions and connecting with him on a deeper level, not to mention the warm cuddles that would put you to sleep without fail.
Now you have plenty of sleepless nights that always seem to get colder as they progress, but maybe that's just the lack of his sunshine smile in your life that would warm you from the inside out.
One morning you're woken up to some commotion outside of your tent, and you're quick to make your way out there. You were considered one of the peace makers of the camp and what was happening right now does not sound like peace.
You find Murphy on the ground with his eyes closed and another boy walking backwards shaking his fist, as if he had just punched someone. Which by the look of Murphy's face, he was the one that got punched, and hard too.
The other boy looks ready to come back for seconds, and Murphy still hasn't stood up, he was in no condition to fight with a bloody lip and bruised eye. You're on the ground in a second, your hands finding his face, pressing along his cheekbones, checking for broken bones or fracturs, and he's groaning under your touch.
"Come on," you pull him up onto his feet and into the direction of your tent, where you quickly close the flap behind him as he takes a seat onto your makeshift bed. "What the hell Murphy, what was that all about?"
Murphy groans again and falls back onto the bed, his head landing softly against your pillows. "He's a dick." is all he says.
You roll your eyes and sit down next to him, "And you're not?" You're partly joking, everyone knows Murphy as the camps resident dickhead, you wouldn't be surprised if he thought you were serious.
"Why are you helping me?" he completely ignores your earlier comments.
"You know why," you counter.
He sits up, puts his head in his hands, and mumbles something into them. When you just stare at him instead of answering, he removes his hands and tries again. "I wish you didn't like me," he can tell his words hurt you by the look in your eyes and he does his best to do damage control, "you deserve better, don't you get it? You don't need me, but I need you. You're the only thing in this world that is worth being here for, you mean everything to me. Is that better?"
You're taken aback by his words, completely and utterly speechless as you try to fully take in what he just said. You never expected this from him, he wasn't one to admit his feelings or even say he was wrong, and now he's doing both. A smile starts to break out across your face as you fight back tears, this is everything you've wanted for the longest time and now you have it.
You take his face in your hands once again, minding the bruises that adorn his cheeks and lean forward. He seems to get the gist of it and leans in too, and when your lips connect, it's like fireworks exploding within you. And you know this is exactly where you're meant to be.
a/n: not a fan of the ending but really wanted to get this out as the request has been sitting in my inbox for a while. Anyway hope you like it nonnie!!

[SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T FINISHED THE 100]
has anyone else noticed that everyone lost their first "love" (quotation cause some of the following relationships had shitty development)
Abby lost Jake
Octavia lost Atom
Clarke and Raven lost Finn
Jasper lost Maya
Bellamy lost Gina
Lexa lost Costia (assuming she was her lover, don't remember if it was specified)
Luna lost Derrick (I think that was his name and assuming he was her first love for purposes)
Miller lost Bryan
Monty lost Harper
Jordan lost Priya
Gabriel lost Josephine
Echo lost Bellamy (or the real Echo, maybe. either way)
Everyone except Murphy (and well Jackson but eh). (okay technically she did die but he brought her so it doesn't really count) Like they fucked up his whole psyche, but they didn't take Emori. Why is he the only one who got any mercy?
Like they were merciless with everyone. Clarke lost all of her lovers in some way (Niylah betrayed her), both her parents, her best friend TWICE, and her daughter (not even to mention all the shit she went through to survive/save her people and all the hate she got for it, you don't gotta like the character just respect her ruthlessness). They made Bellamy a sheep (multiple times *cough* fucking Pike *cough*) and made his whole death pointless cause he was right and Madi gave herself up like immediately after (so fucking mad you don't even know). Raven lost her childhood best friend/lover after he cheated on her (her childhood for fucks sake), her leg, ALIE (that was bad in general but damn), had to stop her own heart to survive, and then Shaw. Jasper went through it before he took himself out. Monty was hated by his best friend (just the Mount Weather incident), forced to kill his mom twice, watched his best friend die, sent his son into danger, watched Harper die, and never saw anyone he loved again (hell, whether he died of old age or not is still up in the air, they never found a body). They threw sweet Jordan into a horror show by the scruff of his neck. Echo had a childhood for sure. Gabriel had lifetimes of fuckery. The fucking disservice to Lexa (and Lincoln) by having her be shot. Luna killed her own brother and lover then watched her entire clan die. Miller lost his dad and was in the bunker... Abby got her husband killed, the bunker, Kane, and then was just erased (POOF bye bitch👋 wtf). And Octavia (need I say more? I will tho). Raised under the floor, imprisoned for being born, mom dead, dad who?, Atom, Lincoln, Ilian, you are Wonkru or you are the enemy of Wonkru, cannibalism, watched her first kinda child die (Ethan), banished by her own brother, lost time with Hope, and lost Diyoza.
And Murphy went through it too. Like BADLY but he never had to live without Emori.
This post is nothing. I just think that's beautiful.

i keep seeing people in their late teens/early twenties having a "[X] content intended for younger audiences does not feel satisfying to me anymore but i don't know where to start to branch out into adult fiction" moment and i thought i would give some recommendations for adult fiction for my fellow creepy crawly queer people. all or at least a LOT of it will be on the darker and more fucked up side bc i primarily engage with horror and thriller media personally but feel free to add on with more or recommendations from other genres :)
edit: i am continuing to add to this list so there might be new recs (highlighted in pink) in here every once in a while! also want to add that there's a variety of POC, queer, and disabled authors in here as well, i am also all of the above (asian, bi/aro, poly, disabled) and tried to incorporate as many of their wickedly talented, compelling narratives as possible. that's all, happy reading!

pairings. bellamy blake x fem!reader
about. bellamy saves your ass, again.
Tumblr media
warnings. foul language, murder
ricky rocks. follow me lol, i’m cool
“what’s wrong?” you were drawn away from your thoughts, glancing to raven. her hands tightly gripped the steering wheel of the rover while looking to you in a slightly anxious manner. “you haven’t spoken the whole ride.”
kane had gotten a call about twenty minutes ago about there being a breach and half the guard team was already gone. there was no one to cover the call except you.
“i got this,” you were already slinging on your guard jacket before kane could say anything, he had never intended on you hearing the beep in but there you were with your eager eyes and ease dropping ears.
he frowned, shaking his head, “no, it’s too dangerous out there.”
you looked at kane dumbfounded, your frown curving deeper into your cheeks making you look older and increasing the darkness within your features, “i can handle myself out there.”
he knew you could, he wasn’t worry about that. kane was more concerned about reasons he wasn’t about to speak aloud, especially to your face in fear of risking setting you off.
“you’re not going.”
“kane,” you gave him a pointed look, shoving your gun in the loop of your belt. you continued to defy him, causing his stomach to wrench up, he didn’t want to yell at you. “i can handle myself out there.”
“if you go,” he began to slowly cave from his original statement, leaning against the metal table separating the two of you, “i want someone out there with you.”
“bellamy isn’t here.”
bellamy was always your scout partner when either one of you were sent out of arkadia to scope out whatever needed to be scoped out. both of you would have been well enough without one another but it was always nice to have company, especially company like bellamy’s.
“you’re going with me, sweetheart,” raven appeared out of nowhere, patting your back as she begun to climb in the driver seat of the rover with a slight struggle due to her leg.
you almost resisted the urge to clench your jaw too hard. you loved raven but you would have really preferred to take this trip alone, especially after what had happened last time; you were with miller, completely throwing you off due to him having a completely different style when it came to scouting arkadia outer grounds than bellamy.
bad things happened.
“bellamy?” you had turned head rather fast, now holding eye contact with the hazel eyed girl, her nervousness had eased off as if coming to the conclusion to your quietness.
“what?” “you'd rather be with bellamy, right?” “i’d rather be by myself,” you grumbled, sulking deeper into the passenger seat. you felt guilty for doing so, raven had nothing to do with your own problems but you really would rather be alone with how everyone had been treating you recently.
“too bad.”
once you had arrived upon the breach you had gotten out of the car rather fast with your hand clutching the hand gun looped with your belt tightly, making it hard for raven to keep up, seeing the determination within your steps.
“slow down, cowgirl,” she yelled after you, almost tripping multiple times as she tried to increase her pace. “there’s no rush.”
“this is ice nations sector, reyes,” you called back, “there is no time to slow down.”
you broke through a large section of trees and branches soon revealing a scene that took you by surprise. it made you raise your gun just as quick as you had gasped.. and soon raven ended up in the same position of surprisal.
before the two of you, bellamy and octavia were knocked out propped up against a tree tied together while a man who’s face was painted white pointed his staff toward you in threat. you kept your composure at the sight with your gun still held in height of his head.
“don’t shoot.”
“you’re not helping.”
“y/n, don’t. don’t do something dumb,” her voice rang through your ears and you suddenly felt hot and your head felt light with pressure spiking, making the rest of your body feel numb. “y/n?”
“reyes, go.”
“you’re about to do something you’re going to regret.”
“you’re about to do something you’re going to regret.”
your vision cleared and became leveled with a man from trikru. his smile was strange and split and made your head spin with uncomfortableness.
he had you surrounded. you and miller.
“you’re not going to shoot me.”
“try me,” you narrowed your brows as you looked between him and to the men next to him, as you were sure miller was doing the same but to the men he was facing. the two of you were back to back, guns raised high in defense.
“we don’t mean any harm,” miller’s voice butts in and he tries to reason as his voice calls to the man you were talking to. you clenched your jaw, miller was almost making you both look foolish. “just let us go.”
“oh i’ll let you go. it’s her that’s gotta stay.”
“i’ll shoot you.”
“those are some powerful words,” he shifts towards you and you’re quick to cock the gun. he flinches but smiles as he still makes small movements toward you till you just… shot him, setting off a chain reaction of the rest of the men launching toward you.
and bang, bang, bang—three more bodies dead on the ground with your simple aim and no hesitation.
miller only injured the other two with a look on his face that you wouldn’t forget. he looked at you with an almost petrified expression—one that read he couldn’t believe what you had just done.
“we need to go.”
“we need to go.”
you were being shaken lightly until your eyes pealed open fast, meeting the feeling of bellamy’s hand lightly holding your face with an urgent look on his own, looking all around before back to your face, “c’mon, get up, kid. we’ve got to go.”
he pulls you to your feet fast where raven and octavia are already hauling it to the rover and the man from ice nation laid on the ground, dead.
“please tell me that wasn’t me.”
“don’t worry,” bellamy gripped your arm while pushing you to go faster toward the rover. right before the man knocked octavia and him out, it wasn’t just him, there was at least two more. they must have gone scavenging, leaving that man to himself, which in hindsight wasn’t smart at all to leave one against two.
“you passed out,” raven looked back to you from her position in the drivers seat. “i think you’re under a lot of stress.”
no kidding.
you glanced to bellamy who was already looking to you and you half expected him to lecture you, like he always did, especially with the look on his face. he was always so adamant with keeping yourself stable, to take breaks, and make sure you were always alright—especially when situations got tough. but right now he didn’t, he kept his mouth shut.
you and bellamy were very similar. he knew it too and it scared him, because he didn’t want any of the things that ran through his mind, going through your own. you were both very self destructive and that wasn’t something he realized until mount weather—a point in time where he learned a lot about you.
“what’re we going to do?” octavia looked to raven who was still breathless, gripping the steering wheel tightly.
she could barely think straight without her mind straying to ten minutes before, “we go to kane, we tell him what happened and we continue on with our day. this isn’t the first time irrational decisions have gotten the best of us.”
she resisted looking at you, but she didn’t have to in order for you to know she was halfway referring to you.
you tipped your head back in despair, wishing you could redo the past month.
* *
“explain to me how a scouting mission ends up with someone dead,” you bit your tongue, already feeling a harsh lecture coming as kane stared at raven gingerly who was barely keeping her composure. she was very fiery whenever it came to discussions like this and defending her own, but the dead body must have thrown her off.
“listen, bellamy and octavia were both in danger-“
“doesn’t give us a right to kill ice nation’s people. our pact with them is barely hanging on by a thread.”
“we didn’t mean for this to happen, kane,” you spoke, defending raven from the rouse he was pressuring her with, but you instantly regretted it when he looks to you, like he hadn’t even noticed you yet.
“you killed four grounders, y/n. you understand that right? and now you go and kill someone apart of ice nation. do you understand what that does to us?” kane’s expression and words catch you off gaurd and causes your chest to tighten. he was never someone you expected to be so jarring. he had been giving you the benefit of the doubt for the past month, so seeing him snap so fast took you aback. “you’ve become unhinged. you don’t think straight anymore.”
“she didn’t kill him,” bellamy takes a step in front of you out of instinct.
“then who did?” he raises his voice, “because i’m looking between all four of you right now and only one of you is coming out as a valid option.”
“it was all three of us,” octavia speaks, “y/n, got knocked out before she could do anything. like you said, she hasn’t been thinking straight lately because she’s been under a lot of pressure.”
you could tell kane didn’t believe a word she said by the way he paused, clenching his jaw. it was looking like they were only trying to cover for you right now, and you couldn’t blame him.
“i can’t deal with this right now, we’ll talk about this later.”
* *
“he’s going to kick me from camp.”
you sat on bellamy’s bed as he begun to change from his disoriented attire from earlier that day. after abby had patched him up from the gash he had on the side of his head and made sure you were still doing alright, you both begun to talk about the past month, essentially leading back to kane.
you felt you hadn’t seen bellamy in forever, and it was practically true due to kane setting you both up with different guard partners and assigning you both to tasks at different times for the past five weeks. hence, how you got mixed up with miller in the first place.
it was almost as if it was purposeful…
“he’s not going to kick you from camp.”
“he has no reason not to.”
“y/n, why would he?”
“i killed people, bellamy,” you looked at him, dumbfounded. “for no reason.”
“for good reason,” he corrected you, now kneeling before you. “kane is under a lot of pressure right now, and what happened to you didn’t help. he’s worried about a lot of things, and he doesn’t want to worry about you.”
“he said i’m unhinged.”
“we all are,” he squeezed your knee, getting back to his feet. “you need to stop worrying. you did nothing wrong today.”
“what do you think he’s going to say later?” you questioned.
“stop worrying, princess,” he gave you a pointed look. “what’s the worse that can happen?”
* *
“i don’t want either of you to be partners, you’re both bad for each other. i’ve realized that now for the past two months,” kane folded his hands, delivering the worse news before you and bellamy. “y/n, i was in between full suspension and five week suspension from your position, it’s up to you.”
you looked a kane with narrowed brows, completely dumbfounded and not knowing what to say. you should have seen it coming, he had been preparing the two of you for this by scheduling you both different times and you felt like a fool for not realizing it till now.
“kane, that is irrational,” bellamy shook his head, “we’re both your best and you’re going to risk it over her messing up once. i can hardly see how we’re bad for each other, when we get things done better than any one else on the guard.”
“once is enough.”
you frowned hard, “the only reason i messed up was because i was with miller. because you scheduled me with him. bellamy is not the reason i shot trikru. miller just threw me off because i’m not used to the way he clears.”
kane shook his head, “you shouldn’t be like that. you’re a guard, y/n, you should be prepared for anything, not ‘thrown off’ just because miller runs a totally different route than you and bellamy.”
you couldn’t believe him, “you can’t be serious. kane, you have my answer, you can implement a full suspension.. or whatever,” you rolled your eyes, getting to your feet but bellamy’s quick to pull you back down in your seat.
“she gets a different partner or full suspension, you can expect the same thing from me,” he pressed his lips into a thin line knowing kane wouldn’t accept that. bellamy was the best they had, and without him, the ark would most likely fail.
“you can’t do that,” kane shakes his head, “bellamy.”
“then you fix this,” he still held your wrist as he spoke with a stern tone, “you suspend her five weeks, but you keep her as my partner, you schedule us same time like how it used to be. otherwise you lose the both of us.”
bellamy didn’t understand how kane didn’t realize that you were only under the right mindset when with him. you were irrational with unfamiliarity, its something about that, that freaked you out, but with bellamy, there was a level of control and focus that he could only bring.
kane looked hesitant, glancing between the two of you before focusing on bellamy, “you keep her tame then.”
a deal was made. you were kept partners with bellamy but you still couldn’t help but be angered by the way they spoke like you weren’t there. you were happy with the outcome and you were sure the only reason it happened was because bellamy did all the talking.
“you owe me.”
you rolled your eyes, “you did yourself a favor.”
bellamy scoffed, his eyebrow curving, “really?”
“you know you couldn’t survive a day without me on the job.”
“funny,” he shook his head, “because i was thinking the same thing about you.”
you smiled, but hesitated, “thank you. you saved my ass, again.”
“you’re good, you just owe me,” he winked, “now get ready for your shift.”

Silent bloom
Paring: Bellamy Blake x reader
Warnings: Mentions of blood and violence, PTSD
Chapter: 3.01
“Where are you going?”
You look over your shoulder to see Bellamy entering your shared room; he had just changed into looser clothing than he was wearing before. You smile at him, “to see Jasper.”
“Dressed like that?” He asks playfully, motioning to the damp towel that was wrapped around your body.
“Obviously, it’s the latest fashion,” you say. You reach for the clothes you left hanging on the edge of the bed, but Bellamy links his fingers with yours before you can reach them. You smile up at him and ask, “And what about you, Blake? Where are you going dressed like that?”
He looks down at his clothes, confused. “I’m going to spar with Lincoln. Why? Problem?”
“There actually is,” you say, reaching for the bottom of his shirt. “You're wearing far too many layers.”
He tugs off his shirt and discards it, “Better?”
“Much,” you say before leaning up and pressing your lips against his.
Bellamy deepens the kiss and wraps his arm around your waist, pulling you in closer to him. He gripped your chin with his hand and kissed down your forehead to your nose, making you giggle. “Have you decided what you're doing later?”
“Yes,” the giddy feeling in your stomach disappears, and you shake your head. “I’m not going.”
Arkadia had been your home for the last three months, although it wasn’t easy. Bellamy, Octavia, Raven, Monty, and Lincoln had kept you sane most of the time. But no matter how happy you felt around them, it didn’t keep the nightmares at bay.
His hand dropped from your chin as he cleared his throat. “Please, just think about it. We are going to Sector seven. I think it will be good for you.”
“I don’t know, Bell. I want to, but I don’t know if I’m ready.”
He kisses your forehead and says, “Just say you’ll think about it.”
You take a deep breath and knock on the door in front of you. “Jasper, can we talk? Please.”
Jasper didn’t answer.
“You haven’t eaten in days, and I’m worried about you.”
Nothing.
You sit down on the ground and lean against his door. “I know what it’s like to see and hear people who aren’t there, it happens to me all the time. I still think about the people I’ve lost all the time. Hell, I even miss Murphy... I'm going to go. I’ve left you some food and clean clothes outside your door.”
You walk away feeling crushed, knowing Jasper probably wasn’t answering the door because he passed out drunk. The only people who made an effort with him now were you and Monty. So much for keeping your friends safe. You take a couple of deep breaths when you feel a tightness in your chest. You needed to change before you ended up pushing your friends away, just like Jasper.
You walk into the hangar and notice Miller and Bellamy preparing for the next scouting mission.
“You're coming?” Bellamy asks, smiling.
You nod; the look on his face makes you glad you’d decided to go. Hearing a groaning noise, you look under one of the tables to see Jasper pass out. “How long have you been there?”
“A couple of hours,” Monty sighs. Him and Bellamy pull Jasper out from under the table and help him stand.
“Hey, flower girl!”
You turn and smile brightly at Gina when you see her enter the room. “Hey, how was it?”
“I hate that place, you know? But somebody’s gotta go back there.” She gives you a sympathetic look before reaching into her backpack. “I found the book you were talking about.” She hands you a copy of the Iliad. “I remember you saying how you wanted to do something nice for Bellamy, and if you ever got the chance, you’d try to find him this.”
“This is amazing, thank you!” You pull Gina in for a hug before letting her get back to work.
You walk back towards Bellamy, who has a curious look on his face. “What was that about?”
“She helped me get you a gift.”
“A gift?”
“I wanted to do something nice for you, since you’ve been so good to me... while, you know…” The suspicious look on his face made you laugh. You handed him the book, and his expression hardened. “I thought you’d like it since your mom used to read it to you.”
“I do, it’s—thank you,” he kisses you on the forehead and puts the book in his bag. “Better make sure we’ve got everything.”
Bellamy hands Miller a gun while you double-check your bag to make sure you’ve got everything you need. You look up, noticing Monty walking by you carrying a bucket of water. He throws it over Jasper, who still looks drunk. “Oh, sorry, too cold?”
Jasper lets out a loud yell and grabs Monty, swinging them around before shoving him into the vehicle. “Enough!” You snap, jumping in between them. You shove Jasper back and say, “I get that you're hurting, but don’t be a massive dick and take your anger out on the people who care about you.”
Jasper looks taken aback by your words. He looks behind you as Bellamy approaches and says, “No gun for you, not until you’re sober.”
“Don’t want one,” he says, doing a mock salute, then slapping Bellamy on the head before walking away.
You and Raven share a look of concern. If Jasper had one of his meltdowns outside the camp, he’d probably get you all killed. Although the same could probably be said for you.
“Is Octavia coming?”
Bellamy shrugs. The relationship between the Blake siblings had been strained for a while, making it difficult for those around them.
You go to get into the Rover but stop when Bellamy places his hand on your shoulder. “Thank you,” he says quietly. “For the book and for coming.”
You give him a quick kiss on the lips before sitting down. Raven, who was in the driver’s seat, looked back at you with a smirk on her face and said, “She’s far too good for you.”
Bellamy rolls his eyes and says, “Shut up.”
Jaspers scoffs, “Be careful. Monty might melt her.”
“Enough!” Bellamy sighs. “Raven, take us out.”
Raven starts to drive out of the hangar when Octavia appears on horseback. She raises her brows and says, “try and keep up.”
The ride is mainly in silence until Jasper starts singing loudly; when Raven and Miller joined in, the mood became much lighter until the sing-a-long was interrupted by the sound of a tracking beacon from Farm Station, causing Raven to stop the rover.
“It hasn’t gone off in what? four months?”
Miller nods and asks, “How is that possible?”
“We'll find out. Where are they?”
Before Monty can answer you, Octavia opens the door to the rover and says, “Don't tell me I missed the party.”
“The beacon is in Sector Eight, Ice Nation territory,” Raven explains. “The protocol says we go home. Let the Chancellor decide what to do next.”
“Screw protocol. The Chancellor's not from Farm Station. Monty is, as is Miller's boyfriend,” he says, turning to face them. “It's your call.”
They agree to go into Ice Nation territory to look for the beacon.
Your breath becomes slightly hitched as you grip the gun in your hands tightly as Octavia talks to the Ice Nation scouts in Trig. They were looking for someone called Wanheda. You don’t notice Jasper moving until it’s too late, and he’s snatching the beacon that’s hanging around a scout's neck off of him.
The ground spins him round and he puts his knife to Jasper's throat, “Where's Wanheda?”
“We don’t know,” you go to step forward, but Bellamy holds you back. “We don’t know who Wanheda is, but we can help you look if you let him go.”
The scout looks as if he’s considering it, but Jasper starts to laugh, angering him. “You think this is funny?”
Before you can fully comprehend what’s happening, you're yelling for the scout to stop as he slices his blade along Jasper's throat. Miller, Raven, and Bellamy fire at the other scouts.
“Hold your fire!” Bellamy yells.
“Jasper, get down!” The moment Octavia throws her blade and it sinks into the grounder's chest, your hands are covered in blood again, and Finn is on the other side of the knife.
“Thanks Daisy.”
Your heart hammers in your chest as Finn’s voice echoes in your head and you watch the blood spilling down your friend's neck. You pull a first aid kit from your bag and try to hold a bandage against Jasper's neck to stop the bleeding, but he pushes you away. “I’m trying to help you; you're being an idiot!”
“I’ll take him to medical,” Octavia says, helping you to your feet.
Bellamy slams the radio; he was talking to Kane on down. “Miller? Get one of their horses. Raven said you can't ride, you're on the back. Monty, Daisy, you're with me. Let's go.”
You arrive at Sector 4 to meet Kane and Indra and walk into a tunnel. Monty walks beside you and says, “He's getting worse, isn't he? I mean, getting drunk every night is one thing, but smiling with a knife to your throat? That's next-level damage.”
Before you can reply, Kane comes into view with Indra by his side. Bellamy says, “He must have told her we broke the truce. Sir, before you say anything, there was a good reason—”
“I'll deal with that later. This is about Clarke,” Kane says seriously.
“What about her?”
“She’s being hunted,” Indra explains.
“By the scouts?”
“By everyone.”
You notice how nervous Indra looks as the wheels go over tree trucks, causing the rover to sway. You offer her a friendly smile and say, “It takes a while to get used to.”
She says nothing but watches as you roughly rub your hands with a wet cloth. Bellamy handed you something to try and get Jasper's blood off your hand.
“Sir, we're almost out of range. Are you sure you don't want to tell the chancellor?” Monty asks about slowing down before he drives completely out of range.
“I'm sure. I don't want to worry Abby until we know something.”
“We know there's a kill order,” Bellamy says from his position beside Monty in the front. “Your people are big on those.”
“It's not a kill order,” Indra clarifies. “It's a bounty. Clarke's a symbol. She's known as Wanheda. The Commander of Death.”
“Why are they looking for her? Is it because of what happened in mount weather?” Your hands begin to sweat at your own question.
“My people believe that when you kill someone, you get their power. Kill Wanheda, and you command death.”
“She’s just one girl,” Kane points out.
“So was the commander. What Clarke did at Mount Weather weakened her. The Ice Nation was emboldened. Their queen wants Clarke's power. If her people believe she has it, she'll break the coalition and start a war. I can't let that happen.”
“Welcome to sector seven,” Monty says, bringing the rover to a stop.
“Where to now?”
Indra leans forward and points in the direction she wants him to drive. “If she's here, she'll need supplies. We'll start at the trading posts.”
Monty slams down on the breaks so he doesn’t crash into a tree that’s fallen onto the road. “We need to move it to clear a path.”
You go to open the Rover door, but Indra stops you and says, “Wait. It's been cut down.”
“You don't know that,” Bellamy says before opening the door and popping his head out of the rover to look around with his gun ready.
You move beside him and look around as well, but when a second tree suddenly starts to fall, Bellamy pulls you away from the door and slams it shut.
Indra gives him a knowing look and says, “We do now.”

Summary: Y/N was sent to the ground after spending five years in the Skybox for stealing medical supplies and murder. How will she deal with her new environment and learn to survive on earth? Will she crack under the pressure of becoming a leader of the 100 or will she embrace it.
Post Date: 09.23.2022
Word count: 3k
Based off: 03x11 “Nevermore”
Pairing: Bellamy Blake x Reader
Masterlist
100 Master List
You all head back to the cave to gather your stuff before heading back to Arkadia.
“I don’t understand it either. Something about those chips,” Monty says as you nod in agreement.
“We’ll know soon enough. Be ready,” Sinclair replies.
“O, wait. You can’t just leave,” Bellamy says as the two of you notice Octavia packing up.
“Watch me,” She replies.
“You heard what Jasper said on the radio. Arkadia is not safe,” Bellamy replies back.
“What Jasper said sounds insane. Pike’s gone. I can handle myself. Grounders burn their dead,” Octavia says.
“I know that. And then what? Where are you gonna go?” Bellamy says.
“You don’t get to ask me that,” Octavia snaps.
“What more do I have to do to prove that I am on your side?” Bellamy asks.
“Bring Lincoln back. Turning Pike in does not make you one of the good guys, Bellamy. You did that to save me. Not because what you thought Pike was doing to the Grounders was wrong. ” O responds.
“The Grounders were starving us out,” Bellamy states.
“Because you massacred an army that was sent to protect us,” You interrupt.
“That army could have attacked us at any time, and you both know that,” Bellamy says, turning his attention to you.
“But they didn’t attack. You did that,” You say.
“You were hurting, and you lashed out. Because that’s what you do. There are consequences, Bel. People get hurt. People die. Your people. Monroe’s dead. Lincoln is dead,” Octavia adds before walking away. Bellamy goes to follow O out of the cave, and you hear the noise of an approaching rover.
“They’re here,” You hear Miller say from outside the cave. You walk out of the cave and see Clarke get out of the rover.
“Need your help! We have to get her inside before she wakes up!” You hear Jasper yell and look to see him carrying Raven.
“Were you followed?” Bellamy asks.
“Maybe. I don’t know.,” Jasper responds.
“Get to the ridge. Radio if you spot anyone following. Harper will stay here on watch,” Miller says.
“Octavia, come one. We need you,” Clarke says as you all head into the cave.
“What the hell happened to her?” Sinclair asks.
“I told you on the radio, Raven is not Raven anymore. None of them are. Jaha has been chipping everyone,” Jasper explains.
“Jasper’s right. I’ve seen it with my own eyes,” Clarke confirms.
“I don’t need your help, all right?” Jasper snaps.
“Just take it easy and explain,” You say calmly.
“Jaha is using the chips to control everyone. You swallow it, and it changes you. You forget who you are, and then you see this thing, Alie. Only she’s not really there. She made Raven slit her own wrists. She was trying to get her out of her head. I was trying to help her but –,” Jasper explains.
“Okay, so let’s help her now. Did she say how?” Sinclair interrupts.
“She was working on building something. She needed one of her old wristbands, but Jaha destroyed all of them,” Jasper says.
“Wait a second,” Clarke says before pulling out a little item of some sort. “Does it look like this?” Clarke says.
“Not exactly,” Jasper says.
Suddenly, you notice Raven running away, and you all chase after her, “Don’t let her get away,” Clarke yells.
“It’s just woods. I can’t see anything,” Raven says as everyone goes to restrain her.
“If Raven finds out where we are, so will Alie. She’ll come for her,” Jasper says before sticking something in her neck.
“We have to go,” Clarke says.
“Why? Alie doesn’t know where we are,” Bellamy questions.
“Because I know where we can get a wristband,” Clarke says. You pack everything up and head to some outpost Clarke tells you about.
“I’ll talk to her,” Clarke says.
“I’ll go with you,” You say and get out of the rover.
“I thought you said she was a friend,” Octavia says after noticing the blade the woman is holding.
“We’ll handle it. Just stay here,” Clarke says.
“Skaikru is not welcome here, Wanheda,” The woman says as you approach.
“Niylah, what’s wrong?” Clarke asks the woman.
“She’s waking up. Hurry! Let’s get her inside,” You hear Sinclair.
“Is your father here?” Clarke asks.
“My father’s dead. Part of an army killed by your people while trying to protect you,” Niylah says.
“Niylah, please.” Clarke asks.
“I said no,” She responds.
“We haven’t got time for this. Move! Move!” Bellamy says, coming up with his gun ready. “Get her in there,” Bellamy says.
“I told you my mom was here. If she was chipped, Alie would know,” Monty states.
“That’s why we’re putting her in the back, through there,” Clarke says. “Tie her to the bed,” Clarke says, tossing you some rope.
Raven begins to struggle and takes off her blindfold, “Where the hell am I?” She yells.
“Hold her,” Sinclair says. As she struggles, you all begin to tie her to the bed. She punches you in the face as she fights everyone to find out where she is.
“Hold her hands! Fight it!” Bellamy says as you all are finally able to get her hands and feet restrained.
“Let me go!” She yells as you all watch her.
You walk out from the back with Clarke, Monty, and Sinclair to talk about a game plan. “How the hell do we get that thing out of her head?” You ask.
“Working on it,” Monty replies before Clarke talks to Niylah.
Bellamy walks back to you, “ You okay?” He asks, noticing you rub your face.
“Yeh. You?” You respond.
“Fine,” He responds.
You all file into a different room to figure out how Raven wanted to use the old wristband. “Niylah said we can work in here. So how do we do this?” Clarke says.
“We think Raven wanted to use this wristband to generate an EMP. Which is freakishly brilliant,” Sinclair explains as Monty inspects it.
“Meaning what?” Bellamy asks.
“A targeted electromagnetic pulse could destroy the chip’s circuitry. We could use this to send an EMP along Raven’s own nervous system. Just need to reverse the polarity, wire for external input, and attach a battery,” Sinclair further explains.
“But what would that do to her?” You ask.
“EMPs don’t affect our bodies. But I don’t know the mechanics of how this chip integrates with her brain,” Sinclair says.
“This was Raven’s plan. She wouldn’t do it if it was gonna destroy her brain,” Bellamy says.
“Depends how bad she wanted it out,” Octavia says, coming into the room.
“Regardless, without an electromagnet, this is just talk,” Sinclair says.
“Where do we get one?” You ask.
“The Ark. Every station had a pulsed inductive thruster for maneuvering,” Sinclair says.
“Arkadia’s out of the question. It’s too dangerous, you heard them,” Bellamy states.
“We use the dropship. It has PI thrusters just like the Ark,” Monty says.
“That’s good. Okay. I’ll go salvage the magnet,” Sinclair says.
“Uhh no. You should stay with Raven and figure out how this thing works. I’ll take the rover. Be back by the time you finish the device,” Monty says.
“I’ll go with you,” Octavia says.
“Guys!” You hear Jasper yell from the other room. You get into the room and see Raven trying to get her ties off and Jasper standing there and doing nothing.
“Stop her!” You urge.
“Jasper, get that side,” Bellamy says.
“She’s reopened her wounds. She’s gonna bleed to death. I need bandages.” Clarke says.
“Raven, stop fighting us,” You say as Clarke tries to clean up her wounds.
“Alie. Alie. Alie! Look at me. I know you can hear this. Why are you doing this to her? Let her go,” Jasper says.
“I’ll let her go when you give me what I want. The technology that Clarke carries, it belongs to me,” Raven says in a voice that's not hers.
“No way,” Clarke says.
“Clarke, just give it to her. Clarke!” Jasper says.
“If you let Raven die, you’ll never get it,” Clarke responds. All of a sudden, Raven stops struggling. “Untie her wrist. Hold her steady,” Clarke says and then works on fixing Raven’s shoulder.
“Clarke. She’s never gonna stop trying to get away. We can’t let her hurt herself again. Someone has to stay with her,” You state.
“I’ll be first watch. We’ll take turns,” Clarke says.
“You don't give the orders, Clarke,” Jasper erupts.
“Guess he doesn’t forgive you for murdering his girlfriend,” Raven says.
“Jasper, take a break,” You say before walking back into the front of the outpost.
“Hey, you good?” You hear Bellamy say from behind you.
“Just peachy,” You respond sarcastically. “You?”
“Could be better,” Bellamy says. “You sure you’re good?” He asks, rubbing where Raven punched you.
“Yeh. Just a little scratch,” You say and move his hand from your face.
“I’m sorry if I hurt you in any way,” He says.
“Sorry? You massacred an army that wouldn’t have attacked if it weren’t for you and Pike. Maybe we could’ve avoided this chaos if you stopped him,” You say.
“I understand what I did was wrong, but –” Bellamy starts before you hear Clarke yelling from inside the tradepost. The both of you rush in and pull Clarke out of the room.
“I’ll take next watch,” You say and head into the room with Raven. “Don’t even think about it, Alie, “ You say, knowing that she’ll try to get into your head too. Bellamy and Jasper come in to join you a few moments later, taking the seats on the other side of the table.
“Look at your united front,” Raven says. “Tell me, why do you give Bellamy a pass for murdering your girlfriend? What was her name?” Raven asks.
“Don’t talk about Maya, “ Jasper says under his breath.
“You don’t have to listen to this,” You say.
“Let’s protect Jasper. Jasper’s so sensitive. Jasper’s lost someone. Everyone cater to his feelings. We’ve all lost someone. You don’t see us falling apart. You don’t see us getting wasted. Being useless,” Raven taunts.
“No, you took a pill to take your pain away. You gave up your memories,” Jasper responds.
“But then, why should we expect anything more? You used to get high off people’s medicine. Being a selfish loser was your only move,” Raven says.
“Stop,” Jasper says.
“That’s all we see when we look at you. A coward. A waste of breath. Why do you even bother living? You’re weak. Pathetic. You can’t save me. You can’t even save yourself. You couldn’t save whats-her name,” Raven continues.
“You know her name!” Jasper bursts out.
“Jasper, think. It’s not Raven talking. And you’re giving her what she wants. Go, “You say to Jasper. He thinks a little bit before walking out of the room, realizing you were right.
“And then there were two. The two that couldn’t even save their own parents. Did you know that you two shared that? That you both killed your own parents? You,” Raven taunts, turning her head towards you. “You killed all those guards and yet still failed at saving him. In fact, you killed both of your parents. Even after stealing all that medicine, your mom still didn’t survive her sickness,” Raven says.
“You don’t know me or have a right to speak about my life,” You say.
“And now, you’re trying to run away from that life, the life of a comfortable, privileged, little girl with parents on the Council. You have been ever since you were locked up. Making sure no one knew who you used to be. Pretending to be someone who didn’t have the privileges that you did,” Raven continues.
“What makes you think that?” I question.
“And you,” Raven says, turning her head to Bellamy. “Does it bother you that you don’t get any credit for the genocide at Mount Weather? Clarke gets to be the Commander of Death, but you murdered all these people, too, and you’re just forgotten. Then again…you didn’t get any credit for the culling on the Ark, either. How many people suffocated when you threw away my radio? You know, at least Clarke was saving her own people. You were just saving your own ass. Of course, that’s nothing… compared to killing your own mom. Just. Like. Y/N. You just had to take little sister to her first dance. You might as well have just shoved Aurora out the airlock yourself. Do you think she would be proud of you now? For the kind of leader, you’ve become? Or would she see the truth, like the rest of us do?  That you're a follower. Clarke’s been back one day, and you’re already taking orders. Too bad you were never that devoted to Gina,” raven says.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about,” Bellamy says back.
“Don’t worry. Gina was already dead when mount weather blew up. And you avenged her, right? I mean, you picked up a gun and slaughtered an army that was sent to protect us. That had nothing to do with blowing sweet Gina to bits. But, hey, a grounders a grounder, right?” Raven says as Niylah enters the room.
“My father… you killed him,” Niylah says and slaps Bellamy.
“Niylah. Niylah. You can’t be in here,” Clarke says as she tries to drag her out.
“It’s too late. Raven’s already seen her. Alie knows we’re here,” jasper says, upset.
You follow Bellamy outside and watch as he kicks a barrel over. Knowing he’s upset. He starts to punch something, and you run towards him. “Bell, Bell. Hey,” You say, taking his hand into yours. “She’s getting into your head, trying to rile you up. Just like she’s done to the rest of us. You know what she said isn’t true,” You say.
“Yes, it is,” He responds.
“Look, yes. Some of the facts are right, but Alie. She doesn’t know the real you,” You say.
He sighs, “Are you ok? I mean the things–,” He starts.
“I’m fine,” You say as you hear a rover approach.
“You sure you don’t want to talk about it?” He asks.
“I’m fine,” You say and kiss his cheek. Luckily it was Monty and Octavia.
“What happened?” You ask as Monty just walks past both of you. You all make it back to the room Ravenn is in as Sinclair starts to explain when needs to be done.
“All we have to do is connect her and activate the electromagnet,” Sinclair says. You all start to work on getting everything set up, but Raven struggles and then begins banging her head on the back of the bed.
“She’s trying to kill herself,” Bellamy realizes. You all struggle to restrain her, but it's no use.
“Stop, and I’ll give you this,” Clarke says as she holds up the Flame. Raven immediately stops, and you quickly grab the wristband and put it on Raven.
“No, you lied! You lied! No. No, please, don’t. The MEP will give me brain damage. You know it will. Please, don’t do this,” Raven pleads.
“Don’t listen to her,” Octavia says.
“Please. You know it will! Sinclair, stop! Sinclair, no. No!” Raven continues to plead.
“We’ve only got one shot at this. EMP will fry the wristband, too,” Sinclair says.
“Do it,” Bellamy says. Once everything was ready, Sinclair quickly works to start the EMP.
“What’s happening?” You ask as it seemed like nothing had happened.
“Nothing. We need more power. The battery’s not strong enough,” Sinclair says.
“Well, then get one, that is,” Clarke says.
“The rover,” Monty responds. Monty and Bellamy go to grab the battery from the rover and switch it out for the other battery. Sinclair activates the EMP, and Raven screams out in pain before her body finally relaxes.
“She’s breathing,” You say as you feel her pulse.
“Raven? Come on, Raven. Hey. Come on, wake up,” Clarke says, shaking her.
“What are you doing?” Clarke says as Jasper hastily moves to the other side of the room.
“Don’t move!,” He says, placing the box with the Flame in it on the table.
“No. You can’t. No. Give it back,” Clarke says.
“Alie did that to Raven. She’s never gonna get this!” Jasper says as he gets ready to smash the Flame.
“Don’t! Stop. it’s Lexa. part of her is still in there. I saw them cut it out of her head. I’m not…” Clarke says before stopping herself.
“What is it?” Bellamy asks.
“Both the AIs were made by the same person. Both tap into human consciousness. They must work similarly, right?” Clarke asks.
“Well, there’s probably only one pathway to consciousness, so it’s possible, yeah,” Sinclair says.
“What does this have to do with anything?” Octavia asks.
“I’ve seen an AI get removed before. Help me get her on her side,” Clarke says, and you all work to move Raven. “Get that med kit from my bag,” Clarke requests and cuts into the back of Raven’s neck. Soon enough, a gross goo comes out of her neck.
“What is that?” You ask.
“It must be whatever’s left of the chip,” Sinclair says. Soon enough, Raven starts to wake up.
“I never thought i’d be so happy to see someone in pain,” Octavia says, noticing how stiff Raven is from all of the pain she put herself in.
“I could’ve saved my mom,” Monty says. Making you realize that his mom had died when they went to the Dropship. He walks out of the room before anyone could say anything.
“Alie knows we're here. We gotta move,” Bellamy says, and you all begin to pack up.
You go to wrap some cloth around the hand that Bellamy injured, “You’ll recover,” You say.
“Will I?” He responds. “What do you do when you realize…you might not be the good guy?” He questions.
“Maybe there are no good guys,” You respond. You start to walk off to help load the rover, but Bellamy grabs your arm.
“Hey. Are you sure you’re alright? You don’t want to tal–” Bellamy says.
“We need to go,” You say, pushing him off and going to load the rover.
“Hey. there’s one thing I don’t understand. Why did Alie want you to kill yourself?” Clarke asks Raven.
“Because I know why she wants a second AI,” Raven says.
“Why?” Bellamy questions.
“It’s the only thing that can stop her,” Raven reveals.
“Then let’s stop her. We survive together,” Octavia says, and you all get into the rover.

The following day greets you with a fragile tranquility, remnants of the prior day's chaos fading slowly into memory. As you, Bellamy, and Charlotte prepare to depart from the refuge of the cave, the crackling of the dying fire serves as a backdrop to the scene.
"Alright, let's get moving," Bellamy declares as he adjusts the straps of his pack. "We need to find Atom and figure out what the hell happened."
Bellamy, ever the impulsive one, rushes past you, his movements quick and purposeful. "Come on, let's go!" He calls over his shoulder to Charlotte, his brow is furrowed in concentration, eyes scanning the trees for any sign of Atom.
You nod in agreement, your own thoughts mirroring his as they move forward. you hang back for a moment. Your thoughts drift back to the young girl, Charlotte.
Despite her innocent appearance, there's something about her that rubs you the wrong way, a nagging feeling of unease that you can't quite shake.
The forest calls beyond the mouth of the cave, sunlight spearing the lush canopy to cast scattered gold upon the floor. You breathe deep the scent of rich earth and new growth, a balm after the underground darkness.
Your reverie shatters at a bloodcurdling scream - "Charlotte!" - your cry ricocheting off stone walls.
Wildly you scan the shadows for her and Bellamy. And then you see him - Atom, lying motionless on the ground. Dread grips you like a vice as you rush to his side.
"Atom." His name catches in your tight throat. With a racing pulse you grab for Atom's wrist, desperate for the beat of life.
Bellamy joins your bedside vigil over Atom's fog-ravaged body. Together you take stock of the horrific burns, the damage beyond healing. Atom stirs feebly at your whispers, eyes slitting open to fix on your faces.
"You think he's gonna make it?" Bellamy asks, unspoken fear dimming his usual arrogance.
You shake your head, your own voice barely above a whisper. "I don't know, Bellamy. It doesn't look good." Atom stirs at your touch, his eyes fluttering open, and he begs for mercy in a hoarse whisper.
Bellamy falters, Adam's apple bobbing. "Easy there, buddy," Bellamy says softly, hand hovering awkwardly over Atom's quaking shoulder. "We're here to help."
Atom's cracking voice interrupts, raw with agony. "Please," he gasps, fingers plucking at Bellamy's sleeve. "...make it stop."
Atom's eyes roll toward you, teeming with pain and desperate appeal, pleading for relief.
An unbearable decision hangs before you as you exchange a tense glance with Bellamy, each of you silently questioning if you're capable of making such a decision. Bellamy clutches the knife Charlotte handed him with whitened knuckles, hesitating.
The heavy quiet shatters at the crunch of leaves. Glancing up, you spot Clarke rushing toward you, Finn and Wells on her heels. Her gaze darts between you and Bellamy, questions burning behind her eyes.
"What happened?" she demands breathlessly.
You gesture helplessly to where Atom lays. "We found Atom," you explain, your voice heavy with emotion. Clarke's eyes widen, taking in his charred and weeping skin. "He's been burned by the fog. We don't know if he's gonna...”
You trail off but Clarke understands. With calm purpose, she kneels beside the boy, meeting his clouded eyes.
Some silent exchange seems to pass between them before she takes his hand. Then, gaze never leaving his, she draws her knife in one smooth motion. Atom doesn't flinch.
Humming softly, Clarke ends his suffering, the mercy killing masked behind that gentle melody. You look away, blinking through a film of tears as she continues humming him into the next life.
Finally, the song fades to silence. Hesitantly you glance back to see Clarke straightening slowly, face pale but composed. Her eyes shine with memories of other losses requiring similar strength.
You watch mutely as Clarke ends Atom's agony with that mournful melody, closing your eyes against the final act of mercy. A prickle on the back of your neck makes you glance over at Charlotte.
The girl stands frozen, transfixed by the blood blossoming across Atom's shirt. Her youthful face holds no horror or pity - only an eerie understanding that chills your bones.
Clarke's voice breaks the spell and Charlotte's faraway look vanishes, replaced by wide-eyed innocence as she meets your probing eyes.
Twilight bled through the trees as you trudged back to camp, haunted and exhausted. Atom lay cradled in a makeshift bed, head lolling with each footfall.
Every glimpse of his burnt and lifeless face, now at peace, cut deep. You slipped through the camp gates to find anxious faces of your fellow survivors ringing around him.
Bellamy's grim head shake was all it took to curdle the atmosphere from one of hopeful anticipation to one of somber mourning. Only Wells lingered, features carved with sorrow.
“I’ll go dig Atoms grave,” he offered quietly, nodding toward a secluded glade. Bellamy nodded before he stalked into the deepening gloom beyond the fires pits.
Too hollowed out for conversation, you drifted toward the dropship. As you made your way there, your attention was briefly drawn to a commotion nearby.
Bellamy stood locked in a heated exchange with Murphy, his voice continuing to rise in anger. You spared a glance at the confrontation, witnessing Bellamy grab Murphy's shirt and scream in his face.
“You lose anyone here?" Bellamy’s voice was laced with bitterness. "Jasper?"
Murphy's response was curt. "Still breathing. Barely. I tried to take him out, but your psycho little sister..."
In an instant, Bellamy lunged at Murphy, pulling Murphy close by the collar of his shirt. "My what? My what?" Bellamy's voice was a low growl, filled with anger and barely contained fury.
Murphy met his gaze with a steely resolve. "Your little sister."
Bellamy's grip tightened, his frustration boiling over. "Yeah, that's right. My little sister. Got anything else you want to say about her?"
Murphy's expression remained impassive as he studied Bellamy's face. "Nothing. Sorry."
With a final shove, Murphy pushed Bellamy off of him. With a shake of your head, you turned away Stepping into the dropship, you were greeted by its familiar smell - a mixture of sweat and metal. It was a scent that had become synonymous with home, despite its less-than-pleasant connotations.
Inside, Octavia, Finn, and Monty sat together, their faces illuminated by the soft glow of dim lights. They passed around a bottle, their laughter filling the air as you walked over to join.
You accepted the burning mouthful passed your way, the fiery liquid providing a temporary reprieve from the ache in your chest
Octavia took a swig from the bottle, her face contorting slightly at the taste. "Ugh, this stuff tastes like it's been sitting out in the sun for weeks."
Finn chuckled, taking the bottle from her and raising it to his lips. "Well, beggars can't be choosers, O."
You reached out for the bottle, taking a small sip before passing it along. "Yeah, it's definitely better than nothing." A moment of silence fell over the group as they each took a turn with the bottle, lost in their own thoughts.
A sudden clamor jerked you back to the present moment. With wide eyes, you spun around to see Jasper half risen from his sickbed, his laughter echoing through the air despite the split lips that marred his face.
"Can I, uh, get a hit of that?" Jasper's request, though laced with exhaustion, carried a glimmer of his usual mischievous spirit.
"Jasper!" Octavia exclaimed, relief flooding her voice as she approached his bedside.
You stood beside him, your voice a soothing murmur as you attempted to calm his delirium. "Easy there, Jasper," you said softly, your eyes filled with concern.
Jasper grinned back at you, his eyes bright with feverish excitement. " “Was that a dream or did I get speared?" he said, his words slurred with exhaustion.
Octavia shot you a grateful smile, her hands still resting on Jasper's shoulders as she guided him back down onto the bed. "He's a tough one, that's for sure," she said, her voice tinged with admiration.
Octavia shot you a grateful smile, her hands still resting on Jasper's shoulders as she guided him back down onto the bed. "He's a tough one, that's for sure," she said, her voice tinged with admiration. Clarke's voice joined in with a hint of teasing.
"Thank you for not dying. I don’t think I could’ve taken that today."
Jasper's playful demeanor returned as he quipped, "I'll try not to die tomorrow, too, if that's cool."
A bubble of astonished laughter escaped you, the tension of the moment breaking as you allowed yourself a moment of unbridled joy at Jasper's unexpected recovery.
Delinquents hurried about their tasks, their movements a blend of urgency and weariness. Some tended to the camp's makeshift defenses, reinforcing barricades and sharpening weapons. the sound of hammering and the shuffle of feet as everyone worked together to fortify their makeshift home.
Worn beyond exhaustion, you retreated to your dim, motionless shelter, seeking refuge from the heat.
No sooner had your body slumped atop the threadbare blanket than a blazing sunbeam shattered the tomblike gloom. Blinking against harsh daylight now spearing through your tent flap, you made out Octavia’s wild silhouette.
“Get up!” she ordered, panting as if she’d dashed straight here. “Jasper and I were exploring, we...look, you just gotta come see this.” A thread of real fear undercut her usual bravado.
“What’s going on?” Your chest constricted even as your legs obeyed, carrying you out beneath the unrelenting.
Octavia guided your steps, clutching one of your wrists and half-dragging you through the bustling camp to another tent where Clarke, Bellamy, and Jasper were already gathered.
Bursting inside, you blink at the grim tableau of Clarke, Bellamy and an alarmingly pale Jasper staring at a table. Octavia steers you to peer over Clarke's shoulder at a knife – and two severed fingers. Shock chokes the questions rising in your throat.
Clarke meets your horrified gaze grimly. “We found these just inside the gates.” She turns the knife around illuminating an embossed mark.
“The metal matches a broken panel on the dropship door.” Clarke took a deep breath, her resolve firm. "It means the Grounders didn't kill Wells. It was one of us," she stated, the weight of her words hanging heavy in the air.
“Wait...” Jasper’s voice shakes. "So, there's a murderer in the camp?" His wide eyes dart frantically, as if a culprit might emerge from the shadows. Everyone exchanges ominous looks in the fraught silence. Jasper's expression grew more troubled by the moment. "Clarke?" he pressed.
“One of over fifty suspects.” Bellamy folds his arms, radiating tension. “We need to keep this quiet until we figure out who’s walking around down here mutilating people.”
His stern glare settles on each member in turn, even young Octavia who juts her chin defiantly. “No one discusses this outside this tent. As far as the rest know, this never happened. Understood?”
Clarke's eyes flash, jaw set like stone. "Get out of my way, Bellamy," she warns, hand straying to the knife. "Whoever did this needs to answer for it." Jasper shifts anxiously from foot to foot in the wake of the standoff.
Bellamy stands firm, looming larger. "And what exactly is your plan, Clarke? Just gonna wave that knife around 'till the guilty party breaks down confessing?" Derision laces his scoff.
Clarke bristles, getting in his face now. "Yeah, maybe I'll start with you. What are you gonna do... keep people afraid and they'll work for you? Is that it?" she retorted, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
Bellamy barks out a harsh laugh. "Yeah. That's it."
As Clarke and Bellamy trade barbs, their words fade against the roaring in your ears. Surely concealing such darkness cannot end well...yet revealing it prematurely may unleash chaos. You clear your throat, drawing sharp eyes.
"Maybe - maybe Bellamy has a point," you venture, pulse thudding. "Panic helps no one." Clarke regards you almost betrayed, but you stand firm. “There’s more than one murderer in this camp... whoever they are, they're already outnumbered.”
Bellamy gives you an appraising look, a new glint of respect behind his brooding eyes as you continue, “It’s better to keep this between us. We don’t even know whose knife that is.”
"Oh, really?" she grinds out. " J.M. John Murphy. The people have a right to know.”
Clarke stormed out of the tent, her anger radiated. You exchanged a tense glance with Bellamy before your eyes wandered around the camp, searching for any signs of trouble.
In the distance, you spotted Charlotte standing alone, her expression troubled as she watched the unfolding confrontation. With a sinking feeling in your chest, you made your way toward her, your footsteps echoing off the dirt of the camp.
"Charlotte, are you okay?" you asked gently, your voice soft with concern as you approached her. She turned to you, her eyes wide with fear and uncertainty.
"I... I don't know," she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper.
You crouched down beside her, your gaze searching hers for any hint of what was wrong. That's when you noticed the blood on her hand, stark against her pale skin.
Your heart skipped a beat as you reached out to gently take her hand in yours, your fingers brushing against the sticky warmth of the blood.
"What happened?" you asked
Charlotte swallowed hard, her eyes brimming with tears. "I... I don't remember," she admitted, her voice trembling with fear. The voices of the crowd rang out in agreement with Bellamy and Clarke, their cries echoing through the air.
You turned just in time, watching in horror as the crowd grew increasingly antsy, their fury unleashed upon Murphy.
You pushed through the swarm, fighting to reach Clarkes side. The chants for Bellamy to finish the job filled the air, the sound sending a chill down your spine. You raised your voice above the clamor hoping to sway the crowd with reason.
"This isn't justice, it's vengeance!"  you shouted, your words echoing through the tumultuous air. But despite your efforts, the mob seemed deaf to reason, their anger consuming them.
Bellamy and Clarke were at the center of it all. You pushed your way through the crowd, determined to reach him and divert his attention from Clarke as they exchanged heated remarks.
“This is on you, princess. You should’ve kept your mouth shut.” You heard
You pushed Bellamy’s chest, "Bellamy, stop them!" you called out, your words barely audible over the roar of the crowd grasping Bellamy's arm. "Murphy wouldn't kill Wells. It was someone else.” The chants grew louder, each of the delinquents shouting Bellamy’s name in unison.
For an instant Bellamy meets your eyes, something wavering behind his mask of cold command. But then his chin lifts with familiar obstinance. Bellamy wrenches his wrist away, striding toward the rigged noose where Murphy spits curses.
Your lungs burn, the frenzied crowd pressing oppressively as Bellamy kicks the crate from under Murphy's feet. the crowd erupting into cheers of approval
The cheers and jeers clash violently with the roaring panic in your head. You glimpse Finn shoving through the human wall, only to disappear under grasping arms. “What the hell are you doing? Cut him down! Charlotte what are you doing?”
Then a small voice shrieks out, "Stop!" The crowd parts for Charlotte's quaking form. "Murphy didn't kill anyone," she gasps. "I stabbed Wells!"
Stunned silence drops like a smothering veil. Bellamy's smugness cracks, eyes darting wildly. Charlotte's confession rings in your pounding head as she repeats, "I killed him.
It took a moment for you to understand, but you knew what needed to be done.
With a swift movement, you reached for the axe at Bellamy's waist, your fingers closing around the handle with a steely determination. With one swing you cut the rope holding Murphy captive, freeing him from his bonds as Finn hurried to untie him.
"Get Charlotte away from here," Clarke hisses at your ear. Her fingers dig into your bicep, face set with determination to quell the riot brewing again in Bellamy's wake.
Clarke gives you a small shove and you run, the girl's clammy hand clenched in yours away from the mob. Away from her unthinkable confession.
As you usher Charlotte back into the tent, anger burns hot within your body, thoughts swirling with the realization of her responsibility for Wells' death.
Clarke, Bellamy, and Finn enter the tent, their voices blending into a cacophony of resolution. Clarke's urgent call of your name pulls you out of your trance.
"Y/n? Hey, are you okay?" Clarke's voice cuts through the haze of your anger, her concern evident in her eyes.
Bellamy's voice breaks through, scanning your conflicted faces. “If you guys have any bright ideas, speak up. Now you stay quiet.” He groaned. Your response is immediate, the words dripping with bitterness. "We should hand her over," you declare.
Clarke, Bellamy, and Finn are stunned by your nonchalance, before they can respond, "She's just a kid!" Clarke argues as Bellamy scoffs, "Try again." Only Finn nods reluctantly, avoiding your gaze.
Murphy's tirade slices through the tent walls. With a frustrated huff, Bellamy pushes outside the tent to quell murphy’s incessant whining, Clarke and Finn on his heels.
Alone with Charlotte, you crouch down, taking her thin shoulders. "You need to run," you urge quietly. "Find Clarke and Finn." Wide-eyed, she manages a small nod. With one last glance, she disappears into the forest.
You release a long breath, hoping you didn't just condemn or save her. ‘the girl may be young, but justice down here allows no exceptions.’
You thought to yourself, if anyone balks, you know Bellamy will back you. His dark eyes told you he reached the same conclusion long before tonight.
Bellamy approached the tent, you watched from your spot in the tent. Within a few steps inside, Murphy struck with a sudden, vicious blow, knocking Bellamy to the ground with a sickening thud.
Your breath caught in your throat as Murphy's rage turned toward Jasper, his fists flying in a brutal onslaught. With horror, you watched as Jasper crumpled under the force of the blows, his cries of pain echoing through the air.
Before Murphy could inflict any more damage, he stormed into the tent, only to find it empty.

“I’ll go with you.” You suggested, looking towards Octavia who nodded her head in agreement. You started walking towards the exit of the throne room but Bellamy’s hand on your arm stopped you. You turned around and saw his face, disapproval clear.
“Bellamy-“
“No, we’re not splitting up.” He said and shook his head.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be fine, I know how to handle myself. And besides, as much as I hate to admit it, we need Pike for now and I can’t let Octavia kill him. Not yet.” You tired to convince him but yet his face didn’t change. You sighed and cupped his cheek with your hand, running your thumb over his cheekbone, careful not to hurt his bruise right next to it. “This is war, Bellamy. I have to do what I have to do. I’ll make it back to you, I promise.”
It took him a few seconds before he nodded. “Fine. But I’m not willing to lose you or my sister, so be careful. Okay?”
“Always.”
However you didn’t fully know if that was true. You didn’t know if you’d make it back to him or even if you will survive this or not. So you decided to make the most of it and stepped closer to him, leaning forward and pressing your lips against his, ignoring all the other people in the room. His hand immediately went to the back of your head as he held you close with his other one.
“I love you, Bellamy.” You whispered as your pulled away.
“I love you, too, Y/N.”
“See you later.” You said before turning around and walking off to where Octavia went, ignoring any regret or doubts. This was not the time to have second thoughts about anything.
You stared at your knife, trying to ignore the hope inside you that you may won’t have to use it. But you knew it was impossible. Things were already out of control and you knew that the plan of not killing g any of these people was not possible whatsoever. You hoped that if you would make it out alive, you’ll finally have a chance of peace. Where there will be no killing, no blood shed and no battle to fight. You help onto that hope with every inch of your heart because you knew it was the only motivation left in you to keep fighting.
“You’re burning up.” Miller’s voice cut through your thoughts. You turned your gaze to Bryan who was laying on the couch, his face was pale and there was sweat on his forehead. “I’m fine.” He said, but it was hard to believe due to the condition he was in. Pike walked towards him and put his hand on his forehead. “Wound is infected.”
“I’m sorry for the way things happened.” Bryan said in a weak voice.
“That was another war.” Pike said and put a comforting hand on his shoulder. “Better take him to Abby.” He said and turned to Miller.
“Copy that.” He said and got up. “I’ll come right back.”
They both grabbed Brayan by his arms and started pulling him up from the couch. He stood up, bouncing his balance on his good leg. “I’m not letting you fight alone.” He said to Pike, and although his tone was determined you could hear the pain and exhaustion in his voice.
“He won’t be alone.” Octavia said quietly from where she was sharpening her sword. The sound of the rock scratching against the blade always gave you goosebumps - either excitement or fear. This time, you didn’t really know what to feel.
“You see? Come on.” Miller’s voice made to turn back to him. Bryan wrapped his arm over his shoulders as he helped him walk towards the exit of the room, leaving Octavia, Pike and you alone.
“If we’re gonna survive this, we’ll need to stand together.” Pike said. You saw right through his words. He was scared, scared of the consequences of his actions. He was smart enough to know that Lincoln’s death will not pass by Octavia or you.
Whilst you rolled your eyes, not giving him the satisfaction of a decent conversation, Octavia was the one who chose to reply.
“Now you say that.” She didn’t glance at him, focusing on the sharpening of her blade. Her response left Pike quiet as he walked to the balcony.
“Here they come.” He announced after a few seconds. You pulled out your knives, knowing already that not killing anyone or hurting them was not an option. They were emotionless robots, not able to feel any sort of pain. You needed to be prepared. Octavia came to stand beside you as you waited in anticipation for the intruders to come, her sword gripped tightly in her hand.
“Okay. The first wave is small.” Pike started, you listened to him, knowing this wasn’t a time for revenge or pettiness. “We do this Bellamy’s way. We let them in. We take them down. We tie them up. Clear?” Pike instructed. You ignored the chill that went down your spine when he said Bellamy’s name and nodded, keeping your eyes focused on the edge of the balcony. The first man arrived, but your attention was cut to Octavia slicing Pike’s thigh with her sword.
“Octavia, no!” You called out and tired to help him but she quickly pulled your arm. “No, Eretria.” She said, not bothering with more explanation.
“You need to put your anger aside or else none of us with be alive. We do this Bellamy’s way.” You said but her eyes focused on the men who were beating Pike. “Octavia. You can’t let your anger over Lincoln affect this. This isn’t the time.”
She turned to you, glaring. “You considered him your brother and now you lecture me about letting the person who killed him suffer?”
You just shook your head at her, refusing to think about him and stepped forward to continue the plan. You punched one of them, drawing his attention and quickly delivered another one to delay his response. He threw his punch, aiming for your cheek but you dodged and used the momentum to flip him over your shoulder. You turned and kicked his head as hard as you could, knowing it was the only way to hold him down at the moment. Suddenly you were grabbed from behind, an arm around your neck. You stabbed the person’s arm several times but he didn’t let go. You reached back and stabbed him as deep as you could but nothing made him release you.
“O, what are you doing?” You heard Bellamy’s voice as he entered the room, eyes stopped on you. You took your chance and stabbed him again but his grip only got stronger. “Bellamy, no.” Octavia called before you heard a gunshot and the guy behind you fell, dead. You dropped beside him, trying to catch your breath. There were a few more gunshots before you saw Bellamy beside you.
“Hey, hey, I got you. Are you okay?” He asked you, a worried look taking over his features. You nodded and grabbed his shoulders, not trusting your voice yet. You stood up with him and pointed at Pike. He understood you and went over to help him off the floor. “She cut me.” Pike said, glaring at Octavia. You didn’t have to time to agree or disagree due to more people climbing on top of the balcony, dropping in front of you.
“Come on. We got to go.” Bellamy said and began walking to the door, helping a limping Pike. You clenched your jaw and joined them.
“We can’t give up the room.” Pike protested.
“We already have.” Bellamy responded, pulling him along. You reached the exit and as you turned around to close the doors you saw Kane climbing on the balcony as well. You ignored him and shut the door.
“Help me.” Bellamy called as he brought a furniture to block the door with. You quickly grabbed your own and helped him.
“I told you, you need to get yourself under control if we’re gonna survive this.” Pike said as he and Octavia moved a dresser to block the door. She ignored him, focusing on pinning the dresser to the door. You leaned back on the door, pressing yourselves against it. Although you couldn’t see her, you heard the thumps on the door as Octavia banged her head against it.
“O? O, listen to me.” Bellamy said, catching her attention. “I know how you feel. I let my need for revenge put me on the wrong side. I don’t want that for you.” He said, surprisingly calm given the situation you were in. The door pushed against you, almost knocking you to the ground but you all stabilized yourselves. Another after another you kept pressing onto the door as they tried to get through. You knew you didn’t have much time before they will break through the door.
“You keep it closed. I’ll get more for the barricade.” Octavia said, speaking your thoughts. Bellamy nodded and she ran off to find more furniture to put against the door.
“Wasn’t the wrong side.” Pike said after she left. “If the Grounder army was still there when Lexa died, they would have attacked, and you know it.” You kept your mouth shut, focusing on your balance as the banging continued. You knew it wasn’t the time.
“I wanted to see things like you. I needed that, to believe that they were bad and we were good. I don’t know what to believe anymore.” You’d be lying if you said his words didn’t hurt you even in the slightest, his actions did cause a lot of damage to your people. However you knew what he was going through - the guilt, the realization that you did something wrong, that you were reckless. You knew he didn’t need more accusations. “I just know I have to live with what I’ve done.” He finished, leaning his head on the door and closing his eyes. You carefully slipped your hand on his, not looking at him when he glanced at you.
As you prevented them from breaking through the door, you kept loading stuff on top of each other to keep a functioning barricade. Miller and Bryan rejoined you and helped you.
“Look out.” You said as you threw a chair on top of the pile, Miller throwing a small chest afterwards.
“This isn’t gonna hold for long.” Bryan said as he pressed himself against the barricade.
“How the hell they even get in here?” Miller asked in frustration.
“Doesn’t matter.” Bellamy said from beside you. “This is where we make our stand.”
“Sounds like there’s a lot of them.” He said, pausing due to another push against the door. “May be time to go to guns.”
“We have something better than guns.” Pike said from behind you, making you all turn to him. “Surprise.”
You agreed to his plan, setting everything up in order to get the it done. You stood at the end of the hallway, waiting for them to come to you.
“Wait, Kane.” Octavia said, her hands up, signaling they were here. “Wait. I give up.”
You heard their footsteps in the water, getting closer and closer. “I’ll take the chip.” Octavia continued her act.
“Good.” Came Kane’s response. “No one else has to die ever. Maybe you can convince your mentor of that.”
“Indra’s alive?” She asked, her tone surprised.
“Yes, on the cross suffering needlessly.” You clenched your jaw at his words, feeling yourself getting angrier. “Now!” Octavia yelled. You stepped up and threw the batons in the water, watching as they all dropped down to the ground.
“The charge is clear. Hurry up, let’s get their weapons.” Pike ordered as he and Bryan stepped forward. You followed them, taking every weapon you could find and keeping some to yourself. You eventually ran to the throne room, settling a barricade to spare some time until you had to fight them. You gripped your knives in your hands, your eyes focused on the door as bang after bang was heard through the room. The barricade has fallen, people entering the room, ready to attack. But so were you.
“Here we go.” Bellamy’s voice was the last thing you heard before it all turned to chaos. You leaped forward, punching the guy in front of you then stabbing him in his leg and pushing him to the ground. Another one came at you with a wooden stick, aiming for your head but you dodged and sliced his side, snatching his weapon and knocking him out with it. It was dropped to the floor when you received a punch to your jaw, making you stumble back a little. You quickly collected yourself before swaying your fist to the side of his head, knocking him to the ground.
You saw a woman making her way to the throne but you quickly grabbed her and threw her to the floor as hard as you could, rising up just in time to block a hit coming you way and stabbing that person in his shoulder before kicking his chest. You took a breath in, only for it to be knocked out of you as an unexpected force pushed your to the ground. He punched you and went for your knife but you recovered quickly and punched him, ignoring the pain gathering in your knuckles and your muscles straining. You pushed him off of you and began to sit up but something had stopped you. You saw Bellamy laying with Kane on top of him, hands around his throat. He tried to fight him but it was no use.
“Bellamy!” You called as you got up and ran to knock Kane off him but another body sent you collapsing to the floor. As he landed punches on your face the other kicked your stomach. You acted immediately and sent your knife through his heart, pulling out and in again before throwing him off of you. You then grabbed the other one’s leg, pulling and sending him to the floor as well. You crawled on top of him, ignoring the pain in your stomach and you punched him several time before knocking him out with the butt of your knife.
You glanced at Bellamy, ready to go and help him but another guy took you down, you stabbed him but he just wrapped his hands around your throat, cutting your airway. You raised your knife and sent it straight to his temple. He dropped on top of you, dead. You got up from underneath him and stumbled a bit. Before you could comprehend what was coming at you you were punched in the face. You almost fell but quickly regained your posture and started fighting back. Sending your knives to different places, trying to hit him but he didn’t budge.
You were growing tired and weak, your time was borrowed and you knew it. As another punch after another was sent to your face you stayed on your feet, refusing to go out, to give up. With every last energy you had in you you leaped forward and knocked into him, sending you both to the floor. You used your advantage and plugged your knife into his heart, twisting it and then pulling out. With much struggle, you got back up, embracing yourself for the next hit. But it never came. Instead you saw people dropping to the ground from pain, stopping their attack. Screams of agony and pain were heard, but your eyes were searching for one person in particular; Bellamy. You saw him laying on the floor, Kane no longer choking him. You walked as fast as you could to him and dropped to the ground, helping him sit up.
“You’re okay, you’re okay.” You said as his eyes met yours. You smiled softly and brushed his hair away from his face. “It’s over, it’s all over. She did it.”
He took your hand that was caressing his face and squeezed it gently, making you wince due to the pain. His eyes darted to your bloody hand to examine it but you pulled his face to look back at you. “It’s okay, it’s all okay.” You repeated as you hugged him close to you. You eyes fell on Kane, staring at Bellamy and then at his hands.
“Hey.” You said, drawing his attention. “Don’t spiral out with guilt, this wasn’t you, it was Alie. And she paid, she’s gone. So don’t blame yourself for this because you did nothing wrong.”
He don’t say anything just looked at you and nodded slightly. You nodded back at him before focusing back on Bellamy. “Let’s get you up.” You said and helped him stand up, even though you weren’t the most stable option for that. You put your hand on your stomach and held yourself from dabbling over, clenching your jaw and breathing through your pain.
“Hey.” Bellamy’s soft voice drew you back to him. “Are you okay? You can lean on me.”
“No,” you shook your head, “I’m fine, just gotta breath it out.” You looked up, seeing Clarke recovering from everything that’s happened, still seated on the throne. “Go check on Clarke.”
“Are you sure? I-“ he went to argue but you quickly shut down the idea.
“Yes, I’m sure. Now go.” With an assuring look from you he finally went over to her and helped her off the chair.
From the corner of your eye you saw Octavia. You locked eyes before she glanced at Pike, then back at you. You nodded before you could even think, knowing that the kill was hers and that he needed to die. Lincoln’s death is something you have yet to face it and you knew that grief was buried inside you, you just didn’t let it out yet. However the sadness and the anger were still there along with the thirst of revenge. You waited, without noticing you waited in anticipation for Octavia to kill him. You wanted to do it, so bad, but you knew people like Octavia. You knew she needed to do it more than you.
You didn’t notice anything as you focused on Octavia and Pike. His almost relieved face was gone as she pushed her sword through his heart. She pushed deeper, and you felt a small satisfaction as he winced in pain, but didn’t let it show as you glared at him. She pulled the sword out and he fell to the ground, blood soaking the carpet beneath him. Her gaze stayed on him before she turned to you. You nodded, silently thanking her. She nodded back before turning around and walking out of the room.

"𝘎𝘢𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘢, 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶."
Said girl gave the blonde woman on the other side of the screen a small smile that didn't quite reach her eyes, "Mrs. Sydney."
"𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘳𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦."
"Yes." Gabriella cleared her throat, trying to find the right words before she just blurted out, "Sam is dead."
Diana's face faltered but quickly turned blank, not allowing the younger girl to see what she was really feeling; grief. "𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘐 𝘧𝘪𝘨𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘴 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩. 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘐 𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘮, 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐'𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘰𝘳 𝘞𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘴 𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳."
"Wells wanted to deliver the news but just...couldn't. He's still recovering from the grounder accident and I feel like Sam's death hit him much worse than it did me." Gabriella explained, having to stop the tears from bottling inside her eyes at the thought of her childhood friend's dead body and everything that occurred after that.
"𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯?" Diana asked hesitantly, almost as if not wanting the answer but still asking anyway.
"A little psychopathic girl found a knife." The young blonde kissed her teeth before letting out a sigh and looking down at her hands that were sitting in her lap. "She wanted the nightmares to stop and you just so happened to be the woman that floated her parents. She couldn't kill you, so he was the next best thing."
"𝘐 𝘶𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥." Diana sighed, not being able to keep her emotions at bay anymore and letting a tear fall down her cheek. However, she quickly rushed to wipe it away. "𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶, 𝘎𝘢𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘢. 𝘛𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘐 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳."
Gabriella watched the woman on the screen get up from her seat, and looked down at the piece of paper in front of her with the list of kids who were dead and whose parents she had to break the news to. She swallowed thickly once she read the name that was next. 𝘑𝘰𝘩𝘯 𝘔𝘣𝘦𝘨𝘦.
Someone had to tell his mother he was killed by grounders when he was out in the woods, looking for Octavia. Telling people their loved ones died is one of the worst responsibilities she could've possibly gotten.
That was the reason Clarke chose medicine and Gabriella chose fixing machines. Machines had no feelings and she did not need to be vulnerable around them. She sighed and rubbed her forehead tiredly.
As she waited for Mbege's mother to show up, a small tap on the tent made her turn her head to the opening, coming face to face with a concerned looking Miller.
"Yeah?"
"Who's the next one?" He asked, looking between Gabriella's face and the piece of paper in her hand.
"Mbege's mom, then Roma's and Diggs'." The blonde listed before looking up at him and tilting her head. "Why?"
"Want me to take over?" He asked sympathetically, "I assume you already talked to a few parents before Sam's."
"It's fine. I'll do it." She reassured him with a weak, forced, smile. "I took the role of the leader. This is my responsibility. Not yours."
"No." Miller shook his head, "I know you're like the boss here, but you're not fine. You have been giving orders around camp since yesterday and you didn't go back to your tent for more than two hours. You need a break. Go check up on the grounder in the dropship or something. I've wanted to talk to Diggs' dad anyway and I know you were close to Roma."
Gabriella let out a defeated sigh, giving him a thankful smile, "Thanks, Nate. I appreciate it."
"No problem, Queenie."
-
After Miller took over her job at telling parents their kids died on the ground, Gabriella walked around camp to see how everyone was doing with working on fixing what the storm broke. She also had a short conversation with Octavia, who asked her to check up on the grounder Bellamy tortured (he's the guy she clearly started to have a thing for but Gabriella was not going to question it) because he would not let her get in the same room with him.
"So, are you talking to me now?"
Gabriella brushed off Bellamy's question and sat down in front of the grounder, making sure to put distance between her and her male co-leader.
"Is this seriously how it's gonna be from now? You're going back to hating me, just without the snarky remarks?" Bellamy stared at the side of her face with a look of disbelief. The two of them did not talk during the last four days. Her days were spent either barking out orders around camp, going out hunting, or avoiding Bellamy. The only good thing that happened was that she was able to talk to Sinclair, but she was still avoiding her dad like the plague.
"Who said I ever stopped?" Gabriella asked, not taking her eyes off the grounder. He was half conscious and had dark skin, bruises all over his body that he probably received last night and had tattoos all over his torso and some that went from his forearms and trailed to the middle of his elbow.
She would have gotten closer so she could examine the tattoos if it were not for Bellamy's gaze burning to the side of her head. She snapped her head to glare at him "What? Do you think you can just stare at me like a kicked puppy and you we will suddenly become besties and everything will become rainbows and unicorns? First, you hanged my best friend and banished him - after I thought we could at least have a normal conversation without me wanting to jump off a cliff - and then you trashed the radio from Raven's pod, causing three hundred people on The Ark to die and then you tortured someone. For what? Information? Leverage against his people?"
"I did that to save you!" Bellamy defended himself. "What would you have done if I didn't torture the antidote out of him, huh?"
"I'd die." She said solemnly. "There's no valid reason for you to torture an innocent person who tried to save your sister's life. I don't know if you realized it yet, but I'm not Octavia. I don't need your protection. I'm perfectly fine on my own."
"Fine." He clenched his jaw, looking away from her and crossing his arms over his chest.
"Great." Gabriella spat, leaning back in her seat.
"Perfect."
"Fantastic."
The words did not even manage to leave her mouth completely when the hatch opened and Miller's head popped inside. He looked between the two leaders who were cleary both pissed. MIller winced, wishing he could turn back time and go back outside. "Am I interrupting something?"
"No." The two leaders responded simultaneously, keeping their glares firmly locked on the grounder chained to the wall in front of them.
Miller eyed them weirdly before climbing up the ladder. He spared the grounder a glance, as if to check if he was still securely tied up, and faced Gabriella and Bellamy.
"Did you talk to The Ark?" The latter asked, looking up at Miller, receiving a nod.
"I told John's mom the news. Diggs', and Roma's parents are rescheduled for later so I still have to talk to them."
"Thanks for doing this, Nate. I owe you." Gabriella smiled up at him.
"Telling all these parents that their kids were murdered by grounders...'' Miller trailed off, looking back at the half-conscious grounder. "I just wish I could say we were getting some justice."
"We're not killing him." Bellamy and Gabriella said at the same time, making Miller blink, taken aback, and mutter under his breath, "I'm just gonna pretend that's not weird at all."
Knowing he could not make them change their minds, especially since they were agreeing with each other for once, Miller grabbed a berries from a small metal bowl and got into the grounder's face. "You were a lot scarier when you had that face paint on."
He crushed the berries in his hand and smudged them over the right side of the grounder's face, not expecting the grounder to hit their heads together and make him fall back on his ass.
Gabriella did not bother to hide her amusement and snorted while pointing to the grounder, "I like him. Can we keep him?"
"Shut up, Ella." Miller muttered, leaning back on his elbows to glare up at the grounder.
-
As she was sitting in the dropship, Gabriella finally allowed the weight of Murphy's absence to sink in. Since they met they were practically a package deal. When one of them went, the other one soon followed. They were inseparable. But now, she didn't know how to deal with him just not being here anymore.
She tried to ignore his absence as best as she could by busying herself, but a part of her just felt empty without him.
"El?"
Gabriella stopped sharpening her knife at the sound of Clarke's voice and turned around to see her entering the dropship, "What's up, Princess?"
Clarke gave Octavia - who was in the seat next to Gabriella - a nod of acknowledgement before turning to her best friend again. "I need you to do me a favor."
"What is it?"
"The council told me there's a supply depot somewhere close to camp with stuff we might need to survive winter. I wanted to know if you'd come with me?" Clarke asked, referring to the information she received at the meeting with Jaha. The same meeting that Gabriella refused to attend.
"Is anyone else going?" Gabriella asked, resting her chin in the palm of her hand.
"Nope." Clarke said, smiling innocently, "Just you and me."
All three girls turned their attention to the latter when Bellamy started climbing down from it. He stares at his younger sister in disbelief. "You're still here?"
"I'm not moving until you let me up there to see him." Octavia said stubbornly.
"Get comfortable." Seeing his words had no effect on either of the girls since they were still glaring at him, he shook his head, "I let him live. Isn't that enough?"
"He saved my life." Octavia defended, "And yours and Ella's."
"No, I saved her life. I know you don't see it that way, but-- "
"Because I'm right. Ella knows it, Clarke knows it. Everyone besides your little gang of followers does."
"He's still dangerous." Bellamy said, only for Octavia to glare at him again.
"Only because of what you did."
Her brother scoffed, "Whatever twisted connection you think you have with that animal, forget it. You don't get to see him, end of conversation."
"Why do you even care if I ruined your life?" Octavia taunted, referring to the fight they had the night Wells got stabbed. "You should want me to go up there. Maybe you'll get lucky and he'll kill me, problem solved."
Gabriella rolled her eyes at the banter while Clarke shifted uncomfortably and looked ready to run out of the dropship but stayed for some reason.
"Octavia" Bellamy started, softer this time. "you know I didn't mean that."
Octavia turned her back to him and her brother took it as a hint the conversation was over. He turned to walk out of the dropship, only for Clarke to stop him by calling his name.
"The answer is still no." He said impatiently. "I'm not talking to Jaha."
"Relax." Clarke huffed, "That's not why I'm here."
"What, then?"
"The Ark found some old records that show a supply depot not too far from here." Clarke started, making Gabriella sit up in her seat with a look of disbelief. 𝘚𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯'𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴.
"What kind of supplies?" Bellamy asked with a hint of curiosity.
"The kind that might give us a chance to live through winter. Ella and I are going to go check it out. We could use backup."
Bellamy spared a glance at Gabriella, who was too busy glaring at Clarke to notice him watching her, before looking back at Clarke, "Why are you asking me?"
"Because right now I don't feel like being around anyone I actually like." Clarke shrugged with a smirk ghosting across her lips as she felt Gabriella's piercing glare at the side of her face.
"Fuck you too, 𝘗𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴."
Not responding to Gabriella's insult, Clarke smiled slightly in victory when she heard Bellamy snort at the words.
"I know that all three of us don't exactly see eye-to-eye but--"
Bellamy cut Clarke off, "I actually quite enjoy spending time with Gabi when she's not yelling at me."
Progress. Clarke thought with a small smirk.
The Blake brother spared his sister a momentary glance before nodding, "I'll get my stuff, meet you in ten."
After he was out of the dropship, Gabriella gave her best friend a look of disbelief, "Seriously?"
Clarke shrugged defensively. "What? If all three of us are gonna lead this camp you two need to stop bantering like kids and get over yourselves. It's not like you can kill him."
Gabriella perked up at the idea. "Well, there's a thought."
"I'll help." Octavia chimed in bitterly, still glaring at the door of the same spot her brother was standing a minute ago.
Noticing the scolding look on Clarke's face, Gabriella huffed "Fine. But don't expect to have fun on this little day trip. You got into this yourself."
"Why would you even want to spend the day alone with these two?" Octavia asked, her question aimed at Clarke. "They will just kill each other and you will be the one that will have to carry their dead bodies to camp."
"Well someone has to stop them from killing each other."
-
"You two done?" Gabriella asked, stepping inside of Clarke and Wells' tent. Clarke went to check up on him and tell him where they were going like ten minutes ago so Gabriella went to check what was taking so long.
Seeing the worried look Wells had on his face, Gabriella rolled her eyes dramatically. "Don't worry, lover-boy. I'm not gonna let anything happen to your princess."
"See, this is what I'm talking about." He told Clarke with a frown before pointing at the other blonde. "You. You hate me. You told me that multiple times."
"Yeah." Gabriella shrugged, nodding in agreement, "Clarke on the other hand, I don't hate. She's my best friend and I'm not gonna let her get hurt because I dislike her boy toy number one."
"It's not safe outside." Wells stated, "For either of you."
"We're big girls, we can take care of ourselves." Gabriella rolled her eyes.
Clarke nodded and added, "We'll have backup."
"Who?" Wells questioned, narrowing his eyes at his best friend.
Just on cue, Bellamy stepping into the tent with an inpatient look on his face was enough answer for Wells and a scowl immediately appeared on his face. (She better be joking.)
"Let's get a move on." Bellamy told the girls, completely ignoring Wells' presence.
"Raven is going to check up on you later." Clarke told the laying boy and let Gabriella drag her outside by her wrist.
Once the trio reached the rations table Monty and Jasper were sorting food at, Gabriella gave them both a small grin while Bellamy started to throw a bunch of rations into his backpack. The action made the blondes share a suspicious look
"That's a lot of rations." Clarke concluded, tugging on her backpack strap and raising an eyebrow at the eldest Blake. "You realize this is a day trip?"
"A lot can happen in a day." Bellamy said, sparing one more look around the camp, his eyes locking with his sister's for a moment. He averted his eyes back to the other two leaders, who were already heading to the doors before he walked after them.
-
To say the silence between the three leaders was uncomfortable would be an understatement. Bellamy has been trailing behind them and Gabriella took the lead by standing at the front, leaving Clarke to feel as uncomfortable as you could get between them.
"You know the first dropship is gonna come down soon." Clarke started in another attempt to start a conversation. "Pretty sure you can't avoid Kane and Jaha forever."
"I can damn well try." Gabriella sang, hopping in her steps in front of them.
"Yeah, I second that." Bellamy added, speaking for the first time they stepped out of camp.
They made a stop at the edge of the woods, at the sight of a destroyed village. Clarke looked down at the map "The depot is supposed to be around here...somewhere."
"There's gotta be a door." Bellamy said, looking around, his silence giving Clarke another chance to bug him about Jaha. "Maybe he'll be lenient."
"Look I shot the man, Clarke." He snapped, "He's not just gonna forgive and forget. Let's just split our cover more ground. Stay within shouting distance."
Both girls watched Bellamy's retreating figure. Clarke had a scowl on her face while Gabriella wore a small amused smirk. The older girl nudged her best friend with her elbow. "Nice."
"Shut up."
Around ten minutes after they all split up, Clarke yelled Gabriella and Bellamy's names, announcing she found the door.
"I think it's rusted shut." She grunted, trying to open the door but failing.
Gabriella took out her ax from the waistband of her pants and instructed, "Watch your foot."
"I can do it." Bellamy tried only for her to ignore him by looking at Clarke with an annoyed look.
"Why don't you tell the fugitive I don't want or need his help?"
"Just tell me yourself, I'm right here." He said, trying not to sound annoyed so he could fix things with her before he left.
"Well, I guess I just did." Gabriella snapped, opening the door with her ax and helping Clarke open it. She motioned for Clarke to go in first and then followed her inside with Bellamy trailing behind them.
Gabriella eyed the big sign "EMERGENCY AID DEPOT #23" and muttered to herself, "Cool."
Clarke gave both of them a flashlight, before taking one for herself. Bellamy pointed his flashlight around the depot entrance with a grimace and questioned, " You really think this place hasn't been touched since the war?"
"A girl can dream. Come on."
Getting further into the depot, they noticed a few skeletons laying around and all grimaced at the thought of the cause of their death.
"Hell of a place to die." Bellamy could not help but mutter and Gabriella nodded in agreement even though he probably could not see due to the lack of light source.
"So much for living down here." Clarke huffed in disappointment, "This place is disgusting. Damn it."
"Everything down here is ruined." Gabriella commented, looking around.
"They must have distributed most of the supplies before the last bombs went off." Clarke realized from behind Gabriella, who was stepping further inside and looking around with more curiosity than disgust.
While Gabriella was looking around, Bellamy opened a box to reveal glow-sticks. He immediately snapped them in two for more light.
"Hey!" Clarke called out, looking through a box, "I found blankets."
"Excited about a couple of blankets?" Bellamy scoffed, putting a glow stick in the corner of the depot.
"Well, it's something." Clarke huffed.
Out of the corner of his eye, Bellamy noticed Gabriella about to touch the web stuck to one of the boxes and rolled his eyes. "Gabi, don't touch that, and start looking."
Giving him a roll of her eyes of her own, Gabriella slowly did as she was told and stepped away from the web.
"How about a canteen or a med kid or a decent freaking tent?" Bellamy yelled in frustration and kicked a barrel of dirty water on the floor, making the liquid spill out from it. Both girls look at him in surprise.
"Drama queen." Gabriella whispered to herself and rolled her eyes again before going back to looking around.
"Oh, my god." Bellamy gaped at the ground in disbelief and excitement, making Clarke turn around with a questioning look. "What?"
Gabriella's curiosity made her turn around a moment later too, only to find Bellamy grinning up at them with a gun in his hand and a bunch more on the floor.
"Holy shit."
"I know right?" Murphy chuckled at her excitement. "I managed to grab the key card of your dad when I was at your place the other night. We can return it when we go back."
He let go of her hand to swipe the card over the scanner for the door to open. It revealed the cadet training room. Guns and weapons adored its walls and Gabriella immediately rushed towards them.
"This is amazing!" She practically squealed. "This is amazing. Kane didn't let me train to be a cadet because I already signed up for the engineering program but now I wish I quit." She chuckled in disbelief. "Holy shit."
"Yeah, you already said that." Murphy smiled that soft smile that was rare and barely visible. It was also only reserved for her. "The room is sound proof so we can try shooting."
"I am so glad that my best friend is a klepto." Gabriella teased as she picked up one of the guns.
"Before we start, I need to ask. Do you even know how to shoot?"
"Nope." She grinned. "But you're gonna help me learn."
"This changes everything."
Bellamy's voice broke her out of her daydream and made her look up to see him hanging a red blanket, probably for target practice.
"No more running from spears." He grinned, walking back towards them but keeping his attention on Gabriella, trying to flirt his way onto her good side. "Ready to be a badass, Bambi?"
"I already am one, but sure." She said arrogantly, not sparing him a look as she reached the guns to pick one she could shoot with.
"Look, I'm not gonna fight you two on bringing guns back to camp." Clarke stated, "I know we need them, but don't expect me to like them."
"We're lucky the rifles were packed in grease." Gabriella observed, eyeing the gun in her hand carefully.
Bellamy nodded in agreement with a boyish grin. "Exactly. We're not sitting ducks anymore. You two need to learn how to do this."
"I already know." Gabriella said confidently, pushing her way around Bellamy and leaning the gun on her shoulder. She was ready to shoot when Bellamy came up behind her, putting his hands on her shoulders.
"That's not the correct position. You have to move your shoulder back a bit like this." He pushed her right shoulder back a bit and positioned the gun in her hands. "The gun has to go higher."
Bellamy did not realize what he was doing until his hands were already on her hips, using them to move her to the side. Realizing they were standing way closer than she thought, Gabriella sucked in a breath and swallowed thickly.
Not noticing her change in demeanor, Bellamy stared at the side of her face, almost as if he was hypnotized. It was obvious to anyone but her that Bellamy thought she was the most gorgeous girl he had ever seen, but seeing her holding a gun made something weird tingle in his body he never thought would be possible. He was getting flustered (and maybe slightly horny).
Clearing her throat nervously, Gabriella moved away from the warmth of Bellamy's body and handed him the gun with a sarcastic tight-lipped smile, "You know what? How about you show us how it's done? You're the expert."
Bellamy shook his head to fight the blush that he could already feel crawling up his neck and to his face and took the gun from her hands, "Watch and learn."
He stood in the position he had just shown Gabriella and pulled the trigger but nothing happened, only a click was heard. Bellamy repeated the action again only to hear the same clicking sound.
"Still watching..." Clarke trailed off with a small amused smile.
"Not learning much though." Gabriella added, snorting at the scowl on his face.
"These bullets are duds." He said before looking at Clarke. "Try yours."
Clarke got in the same position Bellamy did just seconds ago and waited a moment before shooting. She completely missed the target but still had an excited grin on her face. "That was amazing!" She turned to her two co-leaders hesitantly. "Am I terrible for feeling that?"
Gabriella chuckled at the excited look on her face, while Bellamy smiled slightly and encouraged her, "Try again."
"No." Clarke shook her head. "We shouldn't waste the ammunition."
"You two need to practice."
"We need to talk about how we're gonna keep guns around camp, where we're gonna keep them, and who has access," Clarke said stubbornly and Gabriella couldn't help but agree. Getting a bunch of criminals knives and axes was one thing but guns were a lot more dangerous so they needed a plan.
"Right." She nodded. "Which means no murderers or rapists get them. They don't get training either."
Bellamy ignored her words and aimed another gun at the red target before shooting.
"You left Miller in charge of the grounder. You must trust him." Clarke stated curiously.
"Nate is a good guy." Gabriella shrugged, throwing a few nuts into her mouth.
"You should keep him close." Bellamy added in agreement, "The others listen to him and he can use a gun."
"We should keep him close? We had you for that." Gabriella said suspiciously.
Clarke caught on too and questioned, "Bellamy, what's going on? You've been acting weird all day."
Gabriella noticed the way he eyed the gun that was conveniently placed just next to his backpack, which was full of rations. Now, she realized why he was so desperate to find something here and why he even came with them in the first place.
"You're gonna run?" She asked him in disbelief, a deep frown on her face.
"That's why you agreed to come with us. You were gonna load up on supplies and just disappear." Clarke scoffed, unamused.
"I don't have a choice. The Ark will be here soon."
Gabriella stared at him intently. "So you're just gonna abandon us? Abandon Octavia?" (Abandon me?)
"Octavia hates me, she'll be fine." Bellamy shook his head. "And the others have you. I'm not needed there anymore."
"You don't know--"
"I shoot the chancellor." He snapped with a cold voice. "They're gonna kill me, Gabi. Best-case scenario, they locked me up with the grounder for the rest of my life and there's no way in hell I'm giving Jaha the satisfaction." Gabriella opened her mouth to say something before he cut her off by speaking up again. "You two keep practicing. I need some air."
Both blondes watched him disappear through the opening, the young one turning to stare at the side of her best friend's face.
"Don't give me that look." Gabriella pleaded, looking down, now feeling guilty for ignoring him the last few days.
"What look?"
Gabriella fixed Clarke a deadpan glare. "You really think he'd listen to me? After everything I told him since we came down? He probably hates my guts."
"Go."
The youngest Kane stubbornly stared at her best friend for a few seconds before giving in, huffing, and making her way outside the depot.
She ran her fingers through her blonde hair when there was no sight of Bellamy anywhere. She looked around only to stop what she was doing and froze at the sound of a female voice. She would recognize that voice anywhere. Gabriella might have been forgetting her mother's face but her voice still haunted her dreams.
"It's not like you imagined, is it? Earth."
Gabriella gasped and turned around to come face-to-face with her mother's smiling figure.
"Mom?" She choked out.
"Hey, baby." The older woman said gently, placing her hand on her daughter's cheek.
"How-- how are you here? Dad--"
"He did." Isabella Kane cut her off sadly, putting her other hand on top of her head to stroke her hair. "But who's fault is that huh?"
Her hands were still gentle but her voice quickly turned venomous, making more tears fill Gabriella's eyes. "W-what?"
"You were too big of a brat to steal those rations so I had to do it myself." Isabella hissed, making her daughter stumble back in shock. "Everything would be so much better. You'd be locked up, I wouldn't get floated, the baby wouldn't be dead and you wouldn't turn out to be such a disappointment."
"No, no, no." Gabriella shook her head in denial as more tears streamed down her face. "You didn't want me to be the one to steal them! You wanted me to stay at home so you could do it yourself!"
"And I bet you got the boy you loved killed too didn't you?" Isabella chuckled, ignoring everything the younger girl said. "He's dead because of you. Sam is dead because of you. Everything that has gone wrong since the second you were born was because of you."
"I mean, yeah, pretty much." Another way too familiar voice said, coming up behind a tree.
Her eyes widened at the sound of John Murphy's voice and she looked at the source of the voice to see him standing there with a smirk on his face. "It's your fault the two of us were arrested in the first place. And if I didn't get arrested I wouldn't get down to the ground and I wouldn't be dead."
"I thought the grounders got to you I thought they--"
"They did." He nodded "And who's fault is that? We're both dead because of you, Ellie."
The familiar nickname was enough to make her wince and tears fall down her cheeks. "I never wanted you to get hurt. I never wanted anyone to get hurt. I couldn't stop it. I'm sor--"
And then, there was a strong pain on the side of her head and darkness filled her vision.
-
When Gabriella woke up, it was with a groan of pain. Her eyes fluttered open to see the sun had set. She could remember her mom and John being there and then blacking out.
Loud groans of pain from within the forest made her eyes widen.
Clarke and Bellamy.
She quickly got up and rushed to the source of the fighting sounds to see a wounded Clarke lying on her side while a kid who looked like one of the delinquents was on top of Bellamy, choking him with a gun to his throat.
Gabriella quickly grabbed the knife from her jacket and rushed towards them, not hesitating to stab the delinquent in the neck with the knife.
Bellamy let out a breath of relief as Gabriella watched the body of what was probably just a seventeen-year-old kid fall down onto the ground, dead.
She helped Bellamy up and led him to the tree so he could lean on it. She flopped down in between him and Clarke, all three of them catching their breath.
Noticing Bellamy's tearful expression Gabriella put her equally shaky hand in his in an attempt to comfort him."Hey, you're okay, you're okay."
"No, I'm not." He shook his head, looking down at their intervened hands. "My mother...if she knew what I've done...who I am...she raised me to be better, to be good..."
"Bellamy--" Gabriella tried only for him to keep going with a tear falling down his bloody cheek-
"...all I do is hurt people. I'm a monster."
"Hey." Clarke said, gently. "You saved my life today. And you may be a total ass half the time, but we need you. We all need you."
Gabriella nodded with a small smile. "She's right, Freckles. None of us would've survived as long as we have without you. And you want forgiveness? Fine, I'll give it to you. You're forgiven, okay? But you can't run, come back with us and we'll face Jaha, together."
"Like you two-faced your parents?" Bellamy asked bluntly, but softly.
"You're right." Clarke spoke. "I don't wanna face my mom. I don't wanna face any of it. All I think about every day is how we're gonna keep everyone alive, but we don't have a choice."
"Jaha will kill me when he comes down." Bellamy clenched his jaw.
Gabriella squeezed his hand. "We'll figure something out."
"Can we figure it out later?" Bellamy pleaded, leaning his head on the three and looking up at the sky.
"Whatever the hell you want." Gabriella sighed, leaning back too.
The trio sat in silence for a few minutes before Gabriella was the one who eventually broke it, "When I was twelve, my mom told me she was pregnant." Both heads instantly turned to her but she kept her eyes on the star-covered sky. "She told me I couldn't tell my dad but kept asking me to steal extra rations every couple of days. One day when I was sick, she told me she'd be the one to do it so I wouldn't have to go out. But she never came back." She let out a teary chuckle. "I walked around Alpha Station trying to find her only to stop when I saw my dad pressing the button to float her."
She was about to move her hand from Bellamy's to wipe her wet cheeks only for him to hold it there and give it a soft squeeze.
"I never understood it before, you know?" Clarke started, giving her a sympathetic look. "Why you and your dad always acted like the other one didn't exist. I always thought it was just you going through your rebellious stage earlier than others did. But I get it now."
Gabriella gave the fellow blonde a side glance and a small smile.
"Yeah, well I think we can all agree that your dad is kind of a dick." Bellamy spoke up after a few seconds making both of the girls laugh.
"I was really excited to have a brother or a sister." Gabriella smiled fondly. "Holding that a secret would be a big responsibility and I knew it meant that I would lose them and my mom eventually either way. I still think it would be better if it happened later. I had names figured out, too, you know?" She chuckled. "My mom let me pick them. Veronica or Apollo."
"They're great names." Bellamy told her honestly. Hiding Octavia was the most difficult thing he had to do but he knew that he would do it all over again because he would not trade her for any kind of freedom. Even if she hated him. "You would have been a good sister."
His words caused her to release a sob and she simply melted in Clarke's arms when she wrapped one of her arms around her.

After the leaders got back to camp, they announced to everyone that they found guns and then told them they'd be sending a group to get more tomorrow. There were mixed opinions. Finn and Wells were obviously not pleased by the decision but it wasn't like they had anything to do with leading the camp so Gabriella ignored their reactions completely. Raven, Jasper, and Monty seemed fine with it, all three of them obviously coming to the conclusion it would be safer that way.
Octavia was not present during the speech but when Gabriella was calling Bellamy over so they could talk to Jaha together, she saw him giving her one of the blankets they brought back. It seemed like a peace offering.
As much as Gabriella hated to interrupt their moment, they had to talk to Jaha. "Bellamy! The radio's ready."
Bellamy sent his sister one last look, asking something Gabriella could not hear before he turned around to follow Gabriella into the tent.
"𝘔𝘳. 𝘉𝘭𝘢𝘬𝘦." Jaha started coldly, as Gabriella and Bellamy put earpieces on their heads. "𝘐'𝘷𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘸."
"Before you do, I'd like to say a few words." Gabriella cut him off with a look of determination, "You sent us down here to die. Because we were disposable. But somehow, a big part of us is still alive. In large part that is because of Bellamy. He's one of us. He committed a crime before going down to Earth and you said that by going down here, our crimes would be forgiven. He deserves the same treatment."
She knew everything she was saying was against what she told Bellamy the first day they landed but she did not care. It was true. Bellamy was one of them now, and nothing was gonna change that.
"𝘎𝘢𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘢, 𝘐 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘱𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘦--"
"It is." Bellamy chimed in, "If you wanna know who on The Ark wants you dead."
Jaha stared at the screen in surprise for a few moments before nodding to himself. Gabriella and Bellamy shared a nervous glance before looking back at the screen.
"𝘉𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘺 𝘉𝘭𝘢𝘬𝘦, 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘰𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴. 𝘕𝘰𝘸, 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘨𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘨𝘶𝘯."
