Grian really wondered what happened here, Void he was just taking a walk with his friend, he didn't expect to find a kid among this chaos. The child was not only a werewolf, his lifetime species enemy, but was also bleeding and in pretty bad health, what should he do?

There was only a logical and obvious choice of course, take him home. -

Or Grian kinda adopts what appears to be a werewolf kid... and eventually falls in love with the kid's father. He, a vampire, falling in love with a werewolf? really? (The Watcher's are so not gonna like this).

I've been working in a silly little vampires and werewolves AU ft. Desert dads and welp, I have all the plot line and just have to write it!! You can read chapter one here!! :D

I love the “Mumbo’s some kind of supernatural creature” headcanons, and I love the “Mumbo’s just a guy” headcanons, but may I propose: “everyone thinks Mumbo is some sort of creature thing but he’s actually just a bit strange”

“His eyes are so red they basically glow!” My guy inhales enough redstone to power a small machine on the daily.

“He’s nocturnal! He’s always up at night!” Insomnia.

“It’s like he teleports! He just appears behind people” he’s just naturally very quiet and people don’t hear him walking up.

“He knows so many random facts, there has to have been around for ages to learn all that” he’s just a nerd.

Mumbo gets nervous anytime someone tries to interrogate him, making the hermits even more suspicious, but in actuality he’s just worried they’ll be disappointed and he’s starting to realise they probably won’t believe him no matter what answer he gives.

There’s a server-wide bet going for who can figure out what he actually is. Grian, who’s known him for years and knows full well that’s he’s 100% mortal and human, shows up and starts egging the hermits on by “dropping hints” as to what he may be, much to Mumbo’s dismay. Grian thinks the bet is utterly hilarious.

Comments on Mumbo's hermitcraft videos over the years are so funny to look back on because it's like people have been watching a weird skittish creature slowly progress over time. Like in season 6 when he got involved in the civil war his comments were all like "Mumbo's getting involved in a server event?!? Can this be real?". And s7 with HCBBS and the hobbitventure with XB and Cleo it was " It's nice to see Mumbo hanging out with more hermits he tends to be in his own little world most of the time...", or in more recent seasons where he's gotten better at building and would say that he's bad at this and then go "no no I think I did good :{ " you can guarantee people are going to be cheering for him not being self-deprecating you go you funky mustache creature. I dunno, it's honestly pretty wholesome.

I would never tell any Hermit how to make their own videos, but I am desperately hoping and praying that Mumbo keeps pretending to destroy his slime farm in every episode from here on out, and that he uses the same three clips to do it.

I mean, it was very, very funny by the end of this episode, but it's the sort of joke that just gets better the harder you lean on it. Just make it the magical disappearing slime farm and swear you rebuild it twice a day for funsies. It'll be exquisite by the end of the season when the entire surrounding landscape has been terraformed and is entirely different but he's still using the Week One clips. Please Mumbo, this is the only thing I want from you.
