🖼 Entrata del Canal Grande - Canaletto (1730) Houston, Museum of Fine Arts

L'Entrata del Canal Grande è un dipinto a olio su tela di Canaletto, una grande veduta rococò eseguita nel 1730 e attualmente conservata presso il Museo delle Belle Arti di Houston, Texas. Il dipinto è molto preciso nei dettagli, con la chiesa di Santa Maria della Salute, a sinistra, che svetta sopra una solita giornata di traffici con barche e gondole in movimento. Canaletto fu un artista brillante in quanto impresse, ad un soggetto notoriamente limitante come le vedute paesaggistiche, la sua attenzione e selezione per i dettagli, omettendo dove necessario e creando infine non una fotografia del paesaggio, ma una vera e propria rielaborazione.
