For our first #wipwednesday we’re sharing something exciting coming in October! We’re partnering with the Tracing the Potter’s Wheel Project for their hybrid exhibition at the @allardpierson in Amsterdam called De Geheimen van het Pottersbakkerswiel/Tracing the Potter’s Wheel. We’re developing a series of mini games to complement the thematic displays within the exhibition space, so that visitors can play them on dedicated tablets. These same mini games will also be available for anyone to play using their web browser. Our focus here is keeping each mini game lightweight in terms of memory usage, designing game art and animations which clearly illustrate concepts, and providing multiple language support (Dutch and English for now, with Italian coming soon!). We are using some fantastic open source tools that have made work as a small, early stage studio much more accessible, most notably @godotengine, Inky, and @blender.official.
