OKAY SO i mentioned this in my last post but now i absolutely have to talk about this

basic overall concept: aru's finally managed to get her own film past the stages of concepts and development and finally into production. there's a script, actors, planned sets, pretty much everything. it's not like she was unaware that aiden acharya, up and coming movie star was going to be in her film, but she hadn't totally processed that idea either. she does and doesn't know him, the same way that everyone else does with celebrities. but it doesn't help that he's accompanied by her half sister she sees once every three or four years and mini's ex.

aiden, rudy, and kara are all up and coming in the industry. they've all had a few well known roles and are generally seen as a trio, since they all starred in their first notable roles, best friends trying to save the world from a supernatural threat inspired by hindu mythology, together.

mini and aru are best friends. at the moment, mini's working at a hospital back at her hometown in texas. the two of them have been friends since elementary school when they met at a summer camp their parents both sent them to

mini somehow knows rudy. no one actually knows how (they're exes. it's long and complicated)

aru's movie is inspired by real people she's met who've all been somewhat forgotten by those who were supposed to remember them. she wove these stories into a movie with those who are usually forgotten as the stars

it's safe to say that she is STRESSED. she wants everything to go well desperately and doesn't really have anyone next to her to make it easier

there's so much happening. rudy is mini's ex. kara is trying to fix things. the press is everywhere. aru's simultaneously trying to micromanage but not get too involved. everything is everywhere.

after awhile, things end up getting resolved and they all become closer and friends

BUT THEN we have the conflict of the press and the tabloids and romance

at first, aru doesn't really fall for aiden. he's a movie star. he's everyone's latest crush and fascination. she can't quite place why it makes her so uncomfortable when the tabloids are always putting aiden and kara together. she shoves it aside because she has way too much else to worry about at the moment

i haven't figured much else out story wise, but fingers crossed an actual fic for this goes up at some point because i want to write this so bad. i still need to plan brynne's involvement and more concrete plot details

Telugu actor Naga Shaurya asked a man, who slapped his girlfriend on a busy road, to ‘say sorry’ to her. He refused to let go when the man said ‘she is my lover’.

Telugu actor Naga Shaurya, who is gearing up for the release of his film Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi, impressed internet after a video clip in which he can be seen coming to the rescue of a girl from her abusive boyfriend. On Wednesday, Naga Shaurya was spotted on a busy road in Hyderabad asking the man to apologise to his girlfriend after he slapped her.

In the clip, Shaurya can be seen holding the hand of the man and asking him to apologise to his girlfriend. The actor told the man, “Say sorry to her.” To which, the man replied that she’s my girlfriend. Shaurya continued to ask him to apologise to her, regardless. “Why did you slap her on the road? She could be your lover, it doesn’t mean you can misbehave like this. Say sorry to her,” Shaurya said to the man. Onlookers could also be seen telling the man to apologise.

Several people praised Shaurya’s gesture in the comments section of the video shared on Twitter. One user wrote, “You have my respect brother (sic).” Another one tweeted, “Hats off to Naga Shaurya. Immense respect for what you’ve done. Like most people, he didn’t let this slide thinking it’s a public issue.” However, some Twitter users wondered if this could be a promotional stunt for Shaurya’s upcoming release. His film Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi will be released in theatres on March 17. Co-starring Malvika Nair, it is directed by Srinivas Avasarala.

Last November, Shaurya fainted on the set of his upcoming yet-untitled Telugu project. Reportedly, he was admitted to the hospital with a high fever and a severe case of dehydration. The incident happened just days before his wedding. As per reports, he fainted after being on an intense non-liquid diet and spending a lot of hours in the gym to achieve a six-pack look for his role in the movie, which is being directed by first-time director SS Arunachalam. Shaurya recently married Bangalore-based businesswoman Anusha N Shetty on November 20.

If you were like me and a little mystified today by the various videos of Babe Tanatat, Heng Asavarid and Songjet Sarochinee all dressed up in naga finery and headed to some place of worship while Billy Patchanon goofed around them in civvies, here's an explainer.

Idol Factory held a Phaya Si Satta Nakharat Worship Ceremony at the Phaya Si Satta Nakharat shrine in Nakhon Phanom, way up in the northeast of Thailand earlier this afternoon. The actors were there to take part in it:

From what I can gather, this ceremony was to pay homage to the Great Naga of the Mekong. The event was held at 4.00pm Bangkok time today (12 January 2024.)

Aside from physical offerings, (some of) the actors playing nagas in The Sign (Babe, Heng and Songjet) also performed a dance as part of the ceremony:

Billy sat out the dance though; I suppose as an actor playing a garuda it wouldn't have been appropriate or respectful (since nagas and garudas are enemies), but I'm just guessing here.

It shouldn't be surprising though if this were to be the case, since the naga and garuda storyline in The Sign is based on living cultural traditions in Thailand, and these are taken very seriously there indeed.
