alright, so first of all, Ramón is a fucking exhibitionist, he just loves when he has all the attention, then of course he LOVES to show you to everybody

just imagine you two getting in Roxanne, both dressed to kill, his hand around your waist and of course he has that convinced smile on his face because he just knows that all the eyes are on him and his reina

still about your club dates, he also loves dancing with you. He gets hipnotized by your body, and the way you're smiling to him just makes his heart melts

món is intense as fuck, so he is always giving you expensive big ass gifts, always saying how wonderful you are, this mf will do everything to make clear that HE LOVES YOU, you're his diosa, his reina, his amor, if something happens to you, he can kill everybody without even blink

he is also very affectionate, like I said before, he just can't take his hands away from you, cause he needs to know that you're there with him, you're always his wonderwall

sometimes when he is too tired or too stressed, he lays on your lap and close his eyes, just enjoying your company while you run your fingers through his hair

when you guys started dating, Dina was unsure about you, because even knowing that Ramón can take care of himself, he still is her hermanito, and she knows how hard it is to Ramón to emotionally open up with somebody

but then she saw how happy he is with you and how you love each other

of course everybody got kinda surprised when Ramón first told about you, cause y'know, he's such a fuck boy

but this mf had those hearteyes and couldn't stop talking about how you are smart, pretty and everything

now you're part of the family, cause Ramón was right, it's impossible to not like you

even Dina loves you, she trusts you and in your love for her móncito

you also get very along with the narco juniors, they call you patrona btw and sometimes they even fear you more than Ramon himself

even being well protected by Mon, you also know how to take care of yourself

once you were dancing at Roxanne and when Ramon needed to leave for a moment, a guy tried to mess with you

when Mon came back, he saw the guy going away from you holding his bleeding nose

he never felt so proud of his cariño

Ramon says you're the best part of him

this man is deeply obsessed in love with you okay, he wants you all the time, he'll come crawling to you if you ask

he loves to please you

but he still is egocentric af, so yes, his goal is always to make you scream his name and let very clear that he's the only one who can make you feel this good

he worships your body, always letting bites, kisses and so many marks everywhere

it's a secret of you two that sometimes he lets you take control and that makes him crazy everytime

he would never admit but one of his favorite moments is after sex, when you two are sweaty, your eyes are shining and you have that sweet sleepy smile on your lips

that smile was what made him fall in love

since the first time he knew he wanted to see you smiling to him like that for the rest of his life.

Summary: You work at the bar of a night bar in Las Almas, you knew the menu backwards and forwards so you had a certain fame. One day you draw the attention of a certain narco when you kicked an idiot out of the establishment just as the armored van was passing by, not only did you draw attention because of the commotion, but also because not a sound came out of your mouth, not a whimper, curse or insult, nothing. Just a death stare at the man.

Valeria was looking boredly through the tinted window of her armored van as she was returning to one of the many safe houses she had after closing a successful deal.

A commotion catches her attention so she slaps the driver's seat to stop. Entre closes his eyes when he sees you kicking a drunk man out of the bar, he finds it odd that you don't utter a word even if it's to curse him, you just give him a death glare before re-entering the bar named "stellar".

You have caught the attention of the biggest drug dealer in Mexico.

She comes back the next night at the same time she saw you, sits at the bar and orders the most expensive tequila there is from another woman who worked with you. He sits for several hours just watching you work as a bartender before leaving, this becomes a daily routine every Sunday from then on.

You feel her penetrating gaze every Sunday, you know she watches you carefully, analyzing you, but you say nothing, you don't even look at her. The heavily armed men make it clear that she is someone with power and you didn't want to get involved with someone like that.

Luck is not on your side.

After three months of attending the bar, Valeria demands that you be the one to attend to her specifically, she has looked at you enough and has inquired about you. She knows you don't speak of your own free will and that's what's most interesting.

You feel uncomfortable to see the guards looking at you, but you still attend her without saying or making any gesture. She asks you for the Paloma cocktail and you prepare it under her watchful eye before handing it to her.

"Do the guards make you uncomfortable, bonita?" nothing escapes Valeria, she noticed your discomfort from the first instant, so she sent her bodyguards to guard the exit with the others. She tasted the cocktail you prepared for her and smiled "not bad".

From there it all started.

Every time she came, you were hers alone. You didn't attend to anyone else when she came through that door, all your attention was directed to Valeria and so you did.

She was a mysterious woman when she spoke, she was careful what she said. Sometimes she would complain to you about the idiots she herself had brought into her ranks.

Valeria looked forward every Sunday to talking to you, even if you didn't answer, your silence or answers with nods or shrugs were enough, it was a comforting thing to relax with someone she knew didn't want to kill her. Something in her stomach churned every time she saw you and talked to you.

Your interactions were weird, but she liked that, too much to admit it out loud.

You always smiled at her without showing your teeth every time she complained or talked about something that got on her nerves. You had gotten used to each other's presence in a matter of months.

Sometimes she would ask you questions, especially about your curly hair, she was curious how you managed to keep it so beautiful considering the infernal heat in Las Almas. You just shrugged your shoulders

One day you smiled openly at her without realizing it, because of something she had said about an idiot, leaving her stunned.

Valeria knew right then and there that she had fallen when she saw your smile and expression, cupid's bastard had done his thing.

Valeria Garza, El Sin Nombre, had fallen deeply in love with the curly-haired woman who made him several cocktails in one night.

As she came to terms with her feelings, a growing anxiety began to take hold of her when she didn't have you in her sights. The days of waiting for Sunday to arrive became exasperating, her temper tripled and patience waned.

She would only calm down and relax when Sunday came, just to see you.

When Sunday came and he walked into the bar he couldn't find you, so he asked for you.

Turns out you hadn't been to work all week, you weren't even answering messages.

The bloody and merciless beast inside Valeria emerged from the darkest part of her being.

She would burn Las Almas to the ground if she didn't know your whereabouts in the next 72 hours.

You had that time to show up, otherwise, the beast disguised as a narco would seek you out leaving dead in its wake.

The Narcos Fandom Forever discord server is introducing a month-long challenge, the Narcos October Prompts, which is open to fan creators for both the OG Narcos and Narcos MX TV shows.

Headcanons for Jeff the Killer

Starting off strong with the fandom's favorite boyfriend.

In my AU, Jeff is Mexican. He was born in the State of Mexico, son of an American father and a Mexican mother, they all lived a pretty nice live until Liu was born. Things went tense as the father saw that Liu didn't resemble him at all, and it all exploted when the mother confessed that he was product of an affair with a Chinese man and everything went downhill. The father lost his job and started slacking off, leaving the mom working herself off to keep the house clean and the mouths fed, they started having trouble with money and fights were more common. While Liu and Jeff were ignorant to most of it as they were still children, Jeff still had to take care of most of Liu's needs very early on his life since their mother would be very drained due to all her overworking.

It is noted that Jeff's dad favored him a lot, he gave him lots of attention and tried to influence him because he considered him his "real son". As for Liu, he was overlooked by both of his parents, his father because he's product of his wife's affair and he's still obligated to "provide" for him (even though he's pretty much a dead beat) and his mom because he's a constant reminder of what she did and how their family fell down because of him. Liu did had it pretty rough as he was neglected by both sides except by his brother- most of the time since he chased after his dad's attention a lot (which led him to get into alcohol and smoking at a pretty young age).

Jeff did eventually realized how his father was as he grew up and had to take care of more and more chores that his mother and brother could not. And it was a pretty tough pill to swallow because he always viewed him as his hero, especially since his father started losing interest on him the more he grew up.

Things didn't got easy with his mom either with his weird interests. He caught an interest on the emo and punketo cultures many kids were flashing all over and picked up the fashion and music, his mother was a raging catholic and was absolutely against all of this. There were also other people who would often pick on him for his looks and interests. And since he was most of his time taking care of the house and his brother he didn't have much friends. Liu did support him though, the two brothers actually grew to be pretty close and managed to keep a healthy relationship despite their parents.

Outside the house things weren't better either. Jeff didn't have a good reputation or many friends due to his way of dressing and acting, and Liu wasn't aloud outside most of the time because it was a pretty dangerous neighborhood where they lived in. Especially with Randy's gang roaming around.

See, Randy is the biggest change in this story, as he is the son of a narco that settled near Jeff's neighborhood. Him and his dad are the reason why the streets went from bad to bad, it is pretty normal to see dead people laying around and witness kidnappings and muggings. Only if you join the cartel and hang out in Randy's circle you can get some level of protection, but you'll still have to work to keep it.

Jeff, as a skinny emo boy, was target of harassment and cruel pranks by Randy and co. He started to keep knives and other stuff in his pockets for self defense and got himself into a lot of fights. It low-key became his entertainment, he started getting excited over punching and bleeding, it became his way of "letting it all out" after seeing his father do the same, but he still tried to get himself together for his brother's sake.

The story goes the same as ever, only it's set on the streets of Ecatepec instead of a Middle School on Alabama. The family was invited to a birthday party, Randy crashes the place and picks up a fight with Jeff, they set him on fire and people call the cops and an ambulance.

Jeff stayed in the hospital for a couple of weeks since his body was full of second and third degree burns, his family didn't visit him often so he had a lot of time with himself. Sometimes the staff would sent him to hang out with other patients his age so he's not alone all the time, but he would be cruel and scare them a lot, he'd start many fights and injure many kids. He was sent to his house earlier than he was supposed to due to all the problems he'd make.

He was glad he could see Liu again and be in his own place, but he was still very mad about what happened and very upset with his parents. Things kind of went back to normal aside from weird looks and many many off comments from people trying to give Jeff some comfort, but the biggest change was Jeff- obviously. He was way more open and upbeat, it was weird for Liu, but he was glad that his brother seemed to be taking this a good way, however Jeff's confidence started to turn into ego, he kept using the excuse of being burnt alive and was more snappy at people, he wasn't afraid to get into more and more trouble and started coming back to the house bruised and bloody.

This was the subject of many fights he started to have with his parents and his parents had with each other. Violence seemed to be consuming the family, Liu and Jeff started witnessing their dad hitting their mom and Liu was often his mom's target when Jeff wasn't around.

During a fight with his parents, his father started arguing with his mom and went and hit her, Jeff jumped between them to defend his mom and started fighting with his dad. Quickly getting the upper hand as he let himself lose his mind and his dad couldn't keep up slowly loosing consciousness until he died, his mom freaked out and tried to break it off but Jeff went after her. Her screaming alerted Liu who came up to see what was happening only to witness his brother murdering their parents, they started a chase until Jeff caught up to him and did the same in the heat of the moment.

It wasn't until he calmed down when he realized what he had done. But sirens were heard not too far, apparently the screams alerted the neighbors too and called the cops. He had to run.

He took what he thought would be necessary: a hoodie, a knife and some money. And he escaped. He hid inside a public bathroom on a park and proceeded to have his mental breakdown. And he hated that, he hated what he did, he hated what happened to him, he hated himself, but he also hated this feeling. He tried all he could to not feel this way, lying to himself saying that they deserved it, that it wasn't his fault. He tried so hard to convince himself that he feels great that he slitted his cheeks to form a permanent smile.

After a series of maniacal laughter he managed to drive his mind towards Randy. The one who caused all of this. He was the one to blame in Jeff's eyes, and he started to plan his revenge.

He just got out of the bathroom and started looking for Randy and co on one of the streets they'd always hang out during this times. Once he found them, an encounter started, some bad jokes about Jeff's situation and other threats until Jeff showed off his new "glow up", he took advantage of how startled Randy's friends were to start printing over him and attaching him.

Using his knives and fists, he let out all of his anger on him so fast Randy couldn't even respond. The group tried to get Jeff off of Randy, but the sirens of the police were getting closer, and frankly Randy wasn't that worth it so they scrammed and left Randy at the mercy of Jeff. Once he ran out of fuel he realized the police were at reach and he escaped too, leaving Randy's lifeless body unrecognizable.

Jeff then wandered all over the state, trying to hide from the Cartel and the police all he could while doing his killing and surviving on the streets. He hid alongside homeless communities, on the sewers and on abandoned buildings or houses. Until Slenderman came to him offering a good place to live, with people like him and all the murdering he wanted to do.

Jeff is a narcisist and a sociopath. He's still conscious of his actions when killing, but is very quick to excuse himself. Saying he can't help it or putting the blame on something else, yet does nothing to get better. Never expect him to ask for forgiveness or admit that he's wrong, he will instead tell you that is you who should be sorry and he WILL be petty about it. Jeff has a giant ego and will always make you like him first and then destroy your self-esteem so subtly that you won't notice it was him.

Jeff is a very snarky and egocentric person. He's pretty full of himself and is quick to lash out at people, to which nobody likes to be around him so he's very alienated from the rest of the residents of the mansion. His social skills are top tier though, he has a very charismatic personality and manages to keep things interesting with his bastard ideas and dark humor, so he can find himself hopping from friend group to friend group all over the place and seems to be doing just fine. Though he's mostly with Ticcy Toby or Eyeless Jack since they are the only people who seem to tolerate his attitude. Toby is very easy to manipulate and EJ just doesn't seem to care about anything. And sometimes B.E.N. shows up bc they entertain him.

He takes pride on all of this. He knows he can sneak himself into people's heads long enough that he doesn't get killed and he abuses this skill, bribing and gaslighting anyone all he needs (including victims). Plus, Slenderman is often around and making sure that they don't kill eachother and he's specially protective of Jeff due to his tendency of getting into trouble, everybody thinks its just favoritism since Jeff has the biggest kill-count out of all the human pastas (which is also something he likes to brag about) and Slender often strikes more conversations with him than anyone (even his proxies).

Slenderman does have an eye on him and fixiates a lot on him despite not being a proxy (so yeah- it is favoritism). He considers Jeff a very important piece for his "business" because of his many skills, but he's too... flawed. He is very emotional and impulsive with his actions, often times getting attached to his victims until Slender or someone else has to step in, not to mention how uncooperative he can get. Jeff is pretty easy to manipulate, but very hard to keep in line, so Slender has to be sure that he has an upper hand on his confidence at all times:

Jeff knows people don't like him, not to mention the amount of regret he feels for what he did to his brother. He usually fills his ego to avoid those thoughts, but that's still a weak spot. Slenderman knows this all too well, and absolutely weaponizes these anxieties in favor of Jeff being powerless against him.

Couple of highlights for this guy:

He became the famous serial killer when he was 15, he is currently 20 years old.

He's from Ecatepec. And back in Mexico he was nicknamed "El Risas" (Idk how to translate that but it involves laughter) due to his slitted cheeks.

As a good respected emo he listens religiously to the classics like My Chemical Romance, Set it Off and Paramore. And here are other artists that I think he would like: Hollywood Undead, Metallica, Nirvana, Vete a la Versh, Cenotaph.

Due to his family never being able to pay for a bilingual school or English lessons and his father never bothering to teach him some, he struggles a lot with the language. He did picked up a bunch during his time in the mansion though, he was taught by --- but its still not perfect.

Jeff didn't try to burn down his eyelids, but thanks to the fire his lashes are long gone and he has a very terrible eyesight. He usually wears some black eyeshadow to disguise his scars and because he likes it.

He usually wears a face-mask since he salivates every where and he sneezes a lot bc he also doesn't have a nose either and that makes a mess with his sliced cheeks. He's also a very messy eater and prefers to eat alone or not eat anything in front of other people.

He was homeless for a couple of months, living in the sewers systems of Mexico or some abandoned buildings until Slenderman showed up.

He gets very attached very quickly to a lot of his victims. Not in a romantic sense, more like an obsession. He pretty much stalks that person and "protects" them from other people and the other pastas. This usually ends up in another murder when his advances are rejected and he lashes out (or someone else comes to kill that person), or –if that person is lucky enough– he'd have to leave because Slender told him to go somewhere else.

He doesn't know if Liu is dead or alive anymore since the last he knew about him is that he was in a hospital but was in very bad conditions. He sometimes wishes they could be together at the mansion, but you will bever catch him admitting that.

Kind of a crack headcanon, but Jeff really likes spicy food,but it hurts him to eat it sometimes due to his scars and that makes him really sad.

The first ask/request is finally done. Omg. I did not actually expect that I would take this long and I would write this much. I was never really into Jeff the Killer, he was pretty much everywhere so he ended up being very boring for me. But MAN, the amount of backstory and character I came up with, and let's not talk about Liu because OOF- I am actually happy that I even got to do something for him because he is the one I was actually interested in.

But here it is anyway. I might tweak some headcanons or not in the future, idk. But I'm glad with what I did. Now off to take another three months to do the next ask.

La primera vez que vio A Fu discutieron, ella le insulto en español, le arroojo cosas reclamandole del porque si eran tan peligrosos porque no trato de recuperarlo antes en lugar de darselo a ella, si se siente muy insegura , despierta avergonzada por sus peaadillas despues de su trauma contra el narcos

no matter what you say or how reassuring you are, he just will not listen to you.

even though he knows that you’re only his, when some other guy steps into the equation, it unlocks something in his brain that gets rid of everything about you he knows to be true.

like you would never cheat on him

it’s never even crossed your mind

or he’s upset about it.

when the actual rational part of him registers, if it ever, he’ll come talk to you about it.

listening to what you have to say and it calms his nerves

but what about that irrational part?

when you’re not even together and he sees you dancing with some guy at the club

now he crying in the club

does he pick a fight? does he not?

he’s not quite sure

but with a couple of drinks already settled in, he’s picking the fight

honestly he gets upset easily.

hey, i just saw what you said about encanto and the irony. my family and i are all white and something we agreed on is we probably missed a whole load of context for things, etc., because we aren't part of columbian culture/aren't familiar with anything more than the basics of spanish familial structure. it was really cool to watch encanto (and coco, too, actually, tho obviously that's about mexico).

The thing is that, this is technically the first movie that has it roots in Colombia that doesn't involve Narcos, or the violence and it focus more in showing that there's way more things that makes us, well us. Or at least, how the trauma of that violence touch and affects families after generations that we lived it(and spoiler, things like what happened to Alma and Pedro are still happening right now).

So a movie that focus in things like this are such an important part, and I think most of Colombians would think the same.

And I get how it doesn't fit the format of other movies when there's a villain, but for a lot of use there kind of things are way more importance.

That's why I roll my eyes when I see complains that the movie lack villains, or people headcanon Bruno as a villain. And each to everyone to do. But it would be even more important to when they do, they research information about the country and our history.

Instead for the majority, is a copy paste for the characters that people simp to include in their narrative.

And I'm not having a problem with that, like I said every person can do what they want, but it bothers me is when people push aside the growth of Alma and Isabela because they can't fit that part in their own traumas.

To tell you that in my own family I'm a mix of Mirabel and Bruno myself, and for personal experience I can tell you that if I was Mirabel or Bruno and hear people saying what I have read about Alma any of them would deck them.

We are fiercely strong about family, even if we have issues, even if we have trauma between us.

And I understand, most of the white/the US culture growths in family that is almost normal to leave their places around 18yo. When you still have homes in Colombia where different parts of the same family live together, and you have at minimum 4 generations of a family in the same house. People usually only leaves because they had to or they were forced too.

So our perceptions about family are different, and how close we are to that family too.

So what would be a little better is people do like you and reach to us, and ask. Like I said, If we don't have to talk about Pablo Escobar, most of us are thrill to share about our amazing country and culture.

Saying that I don't think the issues are about the sexual orientations or genders. Because queer Colombian and no binary Colombians exist in the country. Like I mentioned in a post before(that I'm not sure how to add in here, if you can check my posts about encanto), the problem is not per se the headcanon of their sexualities, is more the fact that people deliberately ignore what we are saying about the costumes.

Some Colombians are very resentful about that, and there's even merch(like t-shirts) that say "is Colombia, not Columbia".

Note: I just binge watched Narcos Mexico again, and this was the result. i got carried away so this is kind of long, but honestly at this point I think everyone's used to my long ass headcanons💀 hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. also, this is unedited

your friendship begins after you save his little sister from being snatched

one day, his baby sister had managed to rope her bodyguards into taking her to a little corner store after school to buy candy

you found yourself at the same store while on your way home. since it was Friday, you thought you deserved a little evening to yourself with some cheap alcohol and some of your favourite candy.

you were reaching for the last pack of your favourite candy when a small hand bumped into yours. that’s when you first spotted a little girl who couldn’t have been over 7 years old in her school uniform. you noticed the two armed men around her and you were smart enough to know not to ask any questions. you weren’t blind, you knew the city was full of people somehow connected to the cartel, and you weren’t trying to get yourself killed.

for a second you both stared at each other with a look of uncertainty, until you smiled at her and handed her over the pack.

“gracias, señora”, the smile on her sweet face managed to erase any disappointment you were feeling. her bodyguards spotted her as she had managed to briefly run away and were about to make their way to her, when suddenly they both violently collapsed on the ground.

the ringing in your ears made it difficult for you to figure what was going on, but the pool of blood that was beginning form around them made you realize they’d been shot. the people who just killed them were most likely after the girl and you understood you would for sure end up as collateral damage if you did not act now. that’s when your fight or flight instinct finally kicked in. you grabbed the girl’s shaking hand and made a run for it through the backdoor. you weren’t really thinking it through, but you were praying you’d find a way to escape.

you two ended up making a run for it and going to a nearby store, where the owner let you hide. Luckily he knew who the girl was and he was able to call for help

at first you didn’t know who “help” was, until a bunch of SUV’s pulled up and started to retaliate against the initial shooters

you didn’t remember much of what happened after the bullets started flying for a second time, but you’d always remember the moment that you first laid your eyes on the man in black. you could distinctly recall the aura of confidence his presence exuded. he looked like someone you wouldn’t want to fuck with

you soon learned the little girl’s name was Lucia, and she was the daughter of one of Amado’s close friends who had passed away and left her with him. he was taking care of her and treating her like a little sister more than a daughter

a friendship began to form between the two of you and soon, you became the bestest of friends. his chill, laid back personality worked well with your chatty energetic one

your friendship basically consisted of the two of you bickering like an old married couple

lots of roasting, this man has NO pity lksdnfjr, but it's okay because you’re able to dish it back

teasingly calling him “old man” to annoy him and him saying you’re responsible for all his grey hairs

you telling him that’s a lie because Lucia’s responsible for half of them

now can you imagine you and her teaming up against him. you definitely play a few pranks on him

him getting back at the two of you when you least expect it. because in case you didn’t notice, that seems to be his m.o. 🐸 ☕️

but most importantly, you’re each other’s person. you’re both able to talk to each other about everything and anything without feeling judged

he’s a great listener and always asks if you’re looking for advice or if you just want to rant

he is protective!!! and I mean actually protective, not controlling or overbearing

i’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, he respects you enough to understand that you’re capable of making your own choices. so if anything is bothering you, he will offer his help, and if you decline it he trusts you enough to be able to handle it alone

now if you ask him for his help...👀 you won’t be disappointed. someone has been inappropriate with you in any way and won’t back off even after you told them to? oop now they’re suddenly dead. natural causes or accidentally of course😌

omg he totally takes you on trips with him sometimes to keep him company

maybe even introduces you to Pacho when you’re in Mexico

ok honestly I think Amado would know you’re into him before you two would get together

like this man is super attentive to details, he might be silent but that’s because he’s busy observing

and the feelings are mutual, but he doesn’t let you know that until you confess

i have a feeling Amado would literally tease you into confessing, cause he can be such a little shit sometimes

he’d do the most to make you blush

and eventually he would break you and you’d just be like “I LIKE YOU OKAY?”

jnfedcnsd this asshole would be like “yeah, I know” while having the biggest shit eating grin on his face

you’d stare at him silently for a minute because you didn’t know what you wanted to do more, kill him or kiss him

your anger would’ve won if he hadn’t decided to wrap an arm around your waist while gently tilting your chin up with the other

i mean how could anyone resist those eyes

definitely asks if he can kiss you first, but he has a feeling he already knows the answer

you just press your lips against him instead of a verbal answer

i can imagine the two of you getting lost in the moment, finally completely belonging to each other after dreaming about it for so long

then an exasperated little voice would interrupt you, “finally”

so at first it’s him thanking you for staying by his side through this fucking roller coaster, for staying through all the good, the bad, the ugly (probably get some comments from the crowd), for being his guiding light... his north star

and then him be the one to say some stupid shit like i promise to love you forver, and to give myself completely to you...starting with my last name

and you know you’re already getting whistles and yells from the crowd before he events gets on his knee and him looking up at you like “ me harias el honor de ser mi esposa, mijita”

Hi before I start I want to let you know that please, please don't misinterpret what I'm about to ask as hate because it is not what I intend, I am generally curious and the thought hasn't left my mind all day...

So earlier, I stumbled over your Pacho/female reader story and as a gay person myself I just want to know what prompted you to write it? Because there are so many ridiculously good-looking, heterosexual men in the show(s) so what prompted you to write about the one who's not interested in woman, like he's literally surrounded by men whenever he's on screen and I don't think he ever showed even the slightest bit of interested in a woman, normally I wouldn't have said anything but since Pacho Herrera was an actual person I just wanted to know your thoughts on this? Did you had a hard time writing your story because of the lack of content to work with? I'm a writer myself and I find it incredibly hard to write about shows in a non canonical context, I tend to stay true to the material that has been given, maybe that is where my curiosity comes from. Again please, please do not get the impression that I am in some way trying to hate on you.

Pacho is a fantastic character, and even though he's a bad guy, I felt represented seeing him onscreen, not because he's a good example of gay representation or because he was such a fantastic character in the show(s) (well maybe a bit) but because he was a real person that actually lived, who shows that gay people didn't just started to exist, we have always been here...

So you, I hope you have a great day and always remember that I didn't write this ask out of spite or malice but out of curiosity :)

So. Thank you for asking. I will admit I had some hesitancy in writing this story in the beginning. I didn’t want to take away his sexuality or interest in men, that was not my intention. The man himself, not much is actually known about his personal life (the real person). In fact, the fact that he was gay was revealed by an author/journalist, I believe. In the show, they went the direction of just making him openly gay, and yet, there’s not much evidence on how open he truly was given how secretive/private he was. Like I believe I read at one point, they weren't sure how rich he was because of how private he was, they just know he lived a luxurious life. 

I admit, there’s a lack of Pacho Herrera stories and I wanted to fill that void a bit. I had seen some others, kind of describe of him as maybe being bisexual or even pansexual in their headcanons and such. I wanted to keep true to that. I didn’t want to take away that part of his identity. It’s part of the reason why in the story, I still have Diego (even though... I dont think they ever gave his lover a name??). I didn't want him to be straight. I was not going to erase his identity like that. One, that’s dumb and two, it’s almost cruel in a way? If that makes sense? My intent was never to just wipe away his identity, as a gay man. 

I chose him because of the villains on the show, he was my favorite. I loved the representation that he showed as well.  He’s very sly and devious, and I love it. Don't get me wrong, I love Javier, Horacio, and Felix from Narcos Mexico as well, but Pacho. I don't know. He stole a place in my heart somehow and I don’t know how it happened. Maybe its because I myself have been questioning in recent months my own identity when it comes to sexuality? (Or am I finally accepting a part of myself that I never wanted to acknowledge? Idk to be quite honest). I just know I loved him beyond his looks and I loved his openess about his sexuality. Like. He never hid it. Idk. I can't really explain it but I loved him in ways that I can't properly describe.

I also really like the actor, Alberto Ammann. Ive been trying to actually see more of his shows as well. Netflix only has so many so its been a slight search.

I hope this answers your questions. I’ll admit I was a little panicked thinking “oh god I hope I didn't write anything offensive” because that was never my intent. I just wanted to show a little love to one of my favorite characters.
